<DeathStar> *while Lana has been studying advanced Illium tech taken from the debris, Geyze itself has been mostly cleared of debris as various Kingdoms have chipped into help clear the debris that fell into their Kingdoms; the children have become secretive a few days back and for the most part outside the Sylph things, everything seems to be mostly normal*
<DeathStar> *Seniga is studying papers off to the side, while Shin is eyeing paperwork to prepar for finals coming up, squinting at the questions to help prepare for them. Lumi is in her office, sprawled out all the reports*
<Seraphna> **Threna pets her**
<Seraphna> **Talia is running around with a giant device meant for cracking walnuts… or shells**
<DeathStar> <Gwen> What are you doing?
<Jackieness> <Bella> *is flopped under a tree, arms crossed behind her head, near Seniga*
<Seraphna> Talia> Hunting Crab People.
<DeathStar> <Seniga> So you think this is legit? *motions at the answers*
<Jackieness> <Lana> *is in her lab, studying the gathered debris*
<DeathStar> *There's a commotion on the academy grounds and Sabrina can be seen chasing someone. Gwen watches*
<DeathStar> *the person moves oddly - like a crab person*
<Seraphna> **Talia charges** I got you Professor Crabopolis!
<Jackieness> <Bella> "I don't know... could be a trick to see if anyone would pull that stunt." *rolls over on to her side to look at Seniga*
<DeathStar> *The two cut the person off - and he's tackled; turns out he was moving oddly due to stealing things*

<Seraphna> Talia> Where are your crabby Allies! **she pokes the thief**

<DeathStar> *Vyvy is already in the meeting room, flipping through documents, as Jaime arrives; a moment or two later, Lumi walks in and sits*
<DeathStar> *her short hair having grown a little bit, enough to do a small ponytail*

<DeathStar> *Sabrina and Celes arrive, taking seats*
<Alicia> * Sparkling sits down, watching over Sabrina
<DeathStar> *Sabrina seems quiet, but has been going out a lot lately seeking troublemakers*
<DeathStar> <Lumi> Alright, we have enough to begin - people can join us late if they want. *she plays with some papers in her hands like Vyvy*
<Seraphna> **Talia flops in with a crab**
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Then please do proceed."
<DeathStar> <Lumi> Right now we're in a pretty good - what I call a lull state. Meaning we have no major crisises, but we're not exactly out of the woods either. Kalam has requested some help with the Sylph situation, she has some ideas she would like to follow up on and would like the Peacekeepers to join her. *Vyvy looks up* The other two problems are with the Illium World Ship scattered all over, the Kingdoms have been taken in debris to get rid of it. Lana tells me that some of it has some highly advanced technology. That could change things - if some of the Kingdoms learn how to use that. And finally the chaos has led to bandits and what not to become bolder
<DeathStar> <Lumi> *she eyes reports of the bandits attacking people on the roads* We could use some Peacekeepers not interested in the Spirit situation to aid them
<DeathStar> <Celes> Hm, all three of those you named are potential problems
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Lumi, if we are truly in a lull, we should use the opportunity t o strengthen the Alliance, lest we fall victim to the opportunism of our member states again."
<Ariel> * Nicolette arrives at the meething room late, with an arm full of books. She was in the middle of a study session when she heard, still having classes despite her full time job.
<DeathStar> <Lumi> Well, we Peacekeepers are here to serve the Alliance. We could inform the other Alliance members of your desire of that.
<DeathStar> <Celes> It would be problematic if someone like - and I hate to name him - but you know who got ahold of Illium technology
<DeathStar> *Celes bows her head to Nicolette*
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Then I make a motion that the Peacekeepers be given the authority to confiscate recovered Illium technology into the care of the Alliance."
<DeathStar> <Celes> It's not a bad idea. I'm sure Selena would back it. And Qui and Kalam would have no problem doing so as well. The question then is would Shinobu, Helena, and Mykel.
<DeathStar> <Lumi> 4 against 3. I suppose the majority would win
<DeathStar> *Lumi nods* I will get it started.
<DeathStar> <Lumi> Alright - so who here would prefer to go to see Kalam and who would like to help deal with bandits? <Sabrina> I will go deal with bandits
<Seraphna> Talia> Talia beat up bandits!
<Ariel> <Nicolette> "Ah, what is vising Kalam over?"

<DeathStar> <Vyvy> It seems she has a new angle she wants to look into with the Sylph/Spirit problem

<DeathStar> *Sabrina is getting herself ready in the corner, studying the bandit map*
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "I see. Grab who you need to fill in your need."
<DeathStar> *Lumi nods, then rises, motioning everyone to come with her, handing Sabrina and her group their mission* Take Gwen. *Then leads the Kalam group along*
<Ariel> <Nicolette> "Well, I'll leave the bandit problem for the more enthusiastic."
<DeathStar> <Celes> Lets just hope they're not spirit bandits. *She jokes*
<DeathStar> *Lumi leads them to Shade's old grotto*
<DeathStar> <Vyvy> Welcome. *She walks into it*
<Sara> * Ellie who was totally definitely there all along joins them
<DeathStar> *The grotto seems to still be sustaining itself even with Shade up on Kumen these days and inside is a nice little house where Avenir, Edna, Cloud, and Soren (when she's not at the castle) seem to be sitting about. As well as Kalam, who seems to have been interviewing them and taking scans when they walk in*

<Seraphna> **Terra appears in Jaime’s arms as she steps in**
<DeathStar> *Celes bows and takes a seat with Vyvy's permission*
<DeathStar> *Vyvy sits and motions for all to sit down*
<Sara> * Ellie sits
<Ariel> * Nicolette gives a curtsey, and sits
<Jackieness> <Lana> *pokes her head inside* "Ahhh... I heard you need some spirit expertise...and since Simon is out..."
<DeathStar> <Vyvy> Come on in. I'll be curious how much you've learned.
<DeathStar> *she begins to make them all some food*
<DeathStar> *it looks like pancakes in the shape of the spirits' powers - wind, water, fire, etc*
<Jackieness> <Lana> *moves over and sits down*
<Jackieness> <Lana> "My main area is really mana and arcana, but I still have a working knowledge of Croza spirit tehcnology."
<DeathStar> <Kalam> I been taking magical scans of chil--teens and earlier today I took one of Shin. And compared them a bit to Sylph's core. The results were interesting. The children's magical core, as we know, is not necessary to their being. They could keep going without it, but it serves to help their spirit energy.
<DeathStar> <Kalam> It's also been growing with them - I compared it to scans done in the past and it's much larger.
<DeathStar> <Kalam> Second, the one in Shin is a bit different in design. But it also seems to have grown within her.
<Alicia> * Ceilidh listens
<DeathStar> <Kalam> And thirdly, the one in Sylph remains. *She seems to be choosing her words* It's growing, but at a stunted rate - or at least I think so? Her spiritial essense just remains too much for the core
<DeathStar> <Kalam> But I think there might be other problems that I can't detect
<Sara> * Ellie shifts a little uncomfortably, but is listenign to Kalam
<Alicia> <Ceilidh> "So, have the others been recovering normally?"
<Jackieness> <Lana> "So the cores are tied to the life cycle of the spirit, and putting immature cores in a mature spirit is causing... side effects..."
<DeathStar> <Kalam> It might be the cause yes. I've asked my people to get scans and send me the results. I've gotten one back already - Undine definitely is suffering the same results
<DeathStar> <Kalam> She almost refused the scan
<DeathStar> <Kalam> The fact she slid back from the name Brooke to Undine might say something too. *Vyvy sits down with the food, offering it*
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Hmmm... I wodner if we could de-age the spirits to compensate..."
<DeathStar> <Kalam> Well, I wanted to ask one other question that might be important
<DeathStar> <Kalam> That you all might know due to your travels in time.
<Alicia> <Ceilidh> "Ask away."
<DeathStar> <Kalam> How were the spirits born? I know due to Celes' notes many planets had them, including this one, but where did the spirits first come from?
<Alicia> <Ceilidh> "From the planet itself."
<DeathStar> <Kalam> Yes, of course, but when did the process begin. Why some, but not others
<Alicia> <Ceilidh> "That... is a very big question."
<Ariel> * Nicolette's ears perk up on this subject, she hasn't heard this topic
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Ahhhh... if the Croza knew, they didn't share... but I don't think they actually knew."
<Sara> <Ellie> A really big question indeed.
<DeathStar> <Kalam> If we could answer that it might help a little.
<DeathStar> <Celes> The spirits were already there when we arrived
<DeathStar> *she muses* <Celes> It felt like that Geyze was not quite used to them yet though
<DeathStar> <Celes> As for other spirit worlds, they might have been around longer; they acted like Geyze was unique among them
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Well, the cores suggest.. well... that they were designed."
<DeathStar> <Vyvy> Designed?
<Alicia> <Ceilidh> "But by who?"
<DeathStar> *Kalam thinks on that*
<Sara> <Ellie> Mmm... Well, the spirits are still people. It's not like we've never known anyone who was 'designed'. But if we knew more about that...
<Seraphna> Jaime> And the kids are obviously beyond a design.
<DeathStar> <Kalam> While we wait on the data from the other spirits here, should we speak to the Elder Spirits? Maybe they recall more. It's all I can think of to try now.
<DeathStar> <Kalam> They were around sometime before your arrival
<DeathStar> <Celes> I'm more amazed what race could have designed and placed so many spirit worlds
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Assuming they even rememeber, or are allowed to tell.""
<DeathStar> <Celes> And for what reason
<Sara> <Ellie> It's the one resource we do have, though
<Seraphna> Jaime> It might help somewhat.
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Well... the Croza were just the oldest species we knew... but maybe there were even older ones before them."
<DeathStar> <Avenir> Unlike mom, can't take back in time to learn. Plus mom got mad last time we went into the time stream - said there are monsters.
<DeathStar> *she chews on her time pancake*
<DeathStar> <Celes> Time...monsters?
<Ariel> <Nicolette> "They were definitely monsters when Shin was hunting us."
<Jackieness> <Lana> "What still bothers me is what might have caused the Croza split to begin with..."
<DeathStar> *Shin sheepishly peers into the house at the mention of her name, holding her mock test that she failed* Why must we do finals so often?
<DeathStar> <Vyvy> Something changed their viewpoint before you arrived, yes?
<DeathStar> <Vyvy> Or someone
<Jackieness> <Lana> "That is what I understand. Soemthign started at the fringes and then just cascaded until the new philosophy qwas the dominant one."
<DeathStar> *Kalam rises, dusting herself off* Well we can't answer that one, but lets talk to the Elders

<DeathStar> *Asarar eyes a group of bandits, thieves, and murderers surround them after the team has hauled all the goods from the debris into the truck as Ymir's forces have been in the area, repairing the damage done to it*
<DeathStar> <Bandit> Hand over the truck
<Jackieness> <Kira> "...1..."
<DeathStar> *He brings out a powerful looking weapon - enough to blast through an entire truck and aims it at Asarar and Kira*
<DeathStar> <Asarar> .... *holds up her wrist*
<Jackieness> <Kira> "...2..."
<DeathStar> *The bandit begins to charge it as the others move in and Asarar clicks her wrist button*
<Jackieness> <Kira> "...3." *flicks ehr wrist, sending two throwing blades at the eyes of the bandit with the weapon*
<DeathStar> *as the weapon explodes in his face, Asarar calls down a cat shaped mini mech on the enemies, with Bonnie riding on top of it; it begins to pummel them*
<DeathStar> <Asarar> Alright lets take this back. *She gets into the driver's side*
<Jackieness> <Kira> "Too bad Bella is in class right now. Getaway driver would be fun for her."
<DeathStar> *As they return to the hotel with their goods, Asarar nods* That is true. *parking it in the garage, she walks out into the front where Kalam and the others are drinking with Riki*
<DeathStar> <Celes> Greetings
<Jackieness> <Kira> *looks them over* "Business or pleasure?"
<DeathStar> <Kalam> We would like to speak with the Elder Spirits. I know Shade and Aska stay upstairs, but if Ymir could bring the others here?
<Jackieness> <Kira> "Riki, get the upstairs lounge ready. Its more private."
<DeathStar> *after a brief transition, Shade and Aska join them, then Ymir, along with a Fox Fauna who's face looks messed up with bandages, stands behind her, as a body guard; the other elders joining the group in the VIP room*
<DeathStar> <Ymir> If you need anything, I'll be outside. *She exits, leaving them alone*
<DeathStar> <Shade> So - what can we help you with?
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Ahhh... questions."
<DeathStar> *Vyvy plays with her drink while Kalam nods* Where should we begin, Lana?
<DeathStar> *she is scanning them with her magical scans*
<DeathStar> *Shin gets into the tiny alcoholic drinks*
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Ahhhh... the cores. A working theory is that they are tired to the lifecycle of the spirit."
<Jackieness> tied
<DeathStar> *Aska and Shade glance at each other* <Shade> Well. As you know, a core being taken out can kill us. We begin to ... *She looks for the word* <Aska> When we place it into the doors, for example, we begin to break apart and our spirit cannot hold
<DeathStar> <Aska> I don't know if the core runs out though
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Why would the spirit doors be designed with a mechanism to lethal to the spirits themselves though?""
<DeathStar> *Frost looks at Lana* That's a good question
<Sara> <Ellie> I... always wondered that as well
<Jackieness> <Lana> "I don't recall seeing them in the Croza period...but that doesn't mean that they weren't there."
<DeathStar> *Aska and Shade look ... shifty*
<DeathStar> <Celes> Hm?
<DeathStar> *She peers at the others*
<Sara> <Ellie> Is something up, Lady Shade?
<DeathStar> <Shade> We should just tell them. <Aska> Very well.
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Ahhh! I must note this."
<DeathStar> <Shade> After the loss of the others like Frost and Gale, and the strange fog in the spirit realm, we worried about it's affect - Aska and Void as well as myself had the responsbility have using our powers to help attempt to awaken new spirits from the land and to do that, we had to give them cores that were left around. So we used the Croza technology to shape a place none could enter but ourselves.
<DeathStar> <Aska> Of course we had a falling out over the years, but we still gathered to open the doors
<Jackieness> <Lana> "...so who designed the cores?"
<Sara> <Ellie> Man, we learned something yet it feels like we're further from knowing what we needed to know...
<DeathStar> <Shade> I always thought we were born with them, gathered from the elements of the Earth. *She reaches into her chest, and pulls out a rather massive dark core, pulsating with power, then returns it* <Kalam> Wait, curious. That's curious
<DeathStar> <Kalam> All the cores in the building are blank and small
<Jackieness> <Lana> "As noted earlier, they seem to grown with the spirit they are implanted into."
<DeathStar> <Kalam> Yes. So I'm assuming they gather in the elements of the spirit.
<DeathStar> *Vyvy muses* I have two dumb questions, could anyone answer them?
<Jackieness> <Lana> "A question is onyl dumb if people mock you after you ask it."
<DeathStar> <Vyvy> You said that the spirits might be designed or something - so if the core is meant to draw in their element, is that important, and also could we study a blank core to try to learn more?
<DeathStar> <Aska> Designed?
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Well... ahem... just from the scans taken of the cores during our research into the spirit problems, I was able to draw up a schematic for a crude version of the core."
<DeathStar> <Kalam> Can anyone think of any other questions?
<Jackieness> <Lana> "...while I wouldn't actually try to put the 'Lana Core' in a spirit, it did yield some interesting ideas..."
<Jackieness> <Lana> *shake sher head* "Oh, right... have you ever had to swap a blank core into a mature spirit before this last time we did it?"
<DeathStar> <Aska> No. <Shade> Surprisingly we didn't have to do it with Brooke/Undine
<Jackieness> <Lana> "How did that work then?"
<DeathStar> <Aska> She seemed to heal herself but at the cost of her memories/who she was
<Jackieness> <Lana> "...my hypothesis is that we can 'fix' them if we somehow got the core into sync with the spirit's lifecycles."
<DeathStar> <Kalam> We'll try to do that. Shade - Aska. This might be a strange question, do you have an idea why the spirits might be fighting?
<DeathStar> *The two glance at each other oddly*
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Besides the natural elemental opposition; fire vs water, etc."
<DeathStar> <Aska> Well, mind you we just heard rumors..
<DeathStar> <Shade> And it was long ago..
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Yes?"
<DeathStar> <Aska> It was told to us by someone that the spirits were very hostile and territorial. It was reason we were favored and led to a massive war. *the two struggling to recall detailed that were wiped from them*
<Jackieness> <Lana> "By someone?"
<DeathStar> <Shade> We can't remember more. Sorry.
<DeathStar> *Kalam stands up*
<DeathStar> <Kalam> Lets head back and do a little investigating ourselves.
<Jackieness> <Lana> "...hmmm...do you rememebr when we met in the past, Shade?"
<Ariel> <Nicolette> "I wish we thought to come up with these answers, before the time travelling happened."
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Well, we didn't have the same need then."
<Jackieness> <Lana> "The memory loss is frustrating because there are so many blanks that someone doesn't wantus to fill."
<DeathStar> <Kalam> If it comes to it, we'll risk it. <Vyvy> *As they walk out of the VIP room, Riki is juggling for everyone*
<DeathStar> <Kalam> I'll study your core and see if we can learn more about it and see if we find out about nature vs. spirits and meddling vs. spirits. Here's the thing. I think the planet does conjure up the spirits, but if someone stuck their finger into the process....
<DeathStar> <Kalam> And possibility altered how they work
<Jackieness> <Lana> "By makign them dependent upon a core that this whoever controls..."
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Now I wonder if spiritis in the Croza era even had cores."
<DeathStar> <Kalam> I don't know - like I said, Shin's core is very different
<DeathStar> <Kalam> I'll give you the report when we get back

<DeathStar> <Kalam> But I have two theories right now
<DeathStar> <Kalam> Do you notice how since the war, Ymir and Tora have had to do artifical spirits and no world has had it's own spirit outside ones migrating to it?
<DeathStar> <Kalam> Yet spirit fossils have been found on multiudes and you all said there were many too
<Ariel> <Nicolette> "That... was there a genocide?"
<Jackieness> <Lana> "That is right. Most of the worlds with spirits were devastated in the Croza civil war."
<Jackieness> <Lana> "One faction of the Croza weaponized the spirits."
<DeathStar> <Kalam> Correct, but the odd thing is no more have been born even after the worlds should have recovered or new worlds born
<Sara> * Ellie looks deep in thought
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Maybe they didn't recover because the spirits had been remvoed or killed."
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Then again, there was supposed to be somethign unique about Geyze and its spirits."
<DeathStar> <Kalam> Maybe so. But my theories are that the Croza believed that this world was more special than the other spirit worlds. Enough to try to wipe it out - or at least the one faction did.
<Sara> <Ellie> Maybe it's like how so many worlds exist but only a relative few can support life
<DeathStar> <Kalam> Maybe they so that they forming or somthing along those lines of there being spirits here and put the cores in them, Maybe they thought they were doing a good thing since othr worlds needed them who knows. But we need information
<Jackieness> <Lana> "The geyze spirits also make sense... they are elemntal. Some of the alien spirits we met... don't make sense."
<DeathStar> *As they return to the Academy, there's a rumbling sound*
<DeathStar> <Celes> Do you feel that?
<Jackieness> <Lana> "A vibration..."
<DeathStar> *in the distance, Gwen, Talia, and Sabrina flee a massive bandit army*
<DeathStar> *riding on horses*
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Ahhhhh?"
<DeathStar> <Gwen> Run foooor it
<DeathStar> *The bandit leader, a massive imposing figure in armor and a helmet, lifts Gwen up and puts him on the horse, tying him up*
<DeathStar> <Celes> ... what
<Jackieness> <Lana> "H...hey! Let him go!"
<DeathStar> *The bandit leader peers down at Lana*
<DeathStar> *lifting their axe challengingly*
<DeathStar> *Neekito and Sylph peer out*
<Jackieness> <Lana> "I said... let...him..go..." *voids drops an octave*
<DeathStar> *A female voice emits from the mark* You will challenge for him?
<DeathStar> *mask
<Sara> <Ellie> Gwen, how'd you get into this mess...
<DeathStar> <Gwen> We were fighting bandits!
<DeathStar> *He wiggles*
<DeathStar> <Sabrina> *hangs from a pole*
<DeathStar> <Sabrina> A lot of them
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Challenge assumes a fair fight. There won't be anythign fair about what I do to you if he comes to any harm or imprisonment."
<DeathStar> *The giant bandit hops off and walks toward Lana; Vyvy meanwhile puts her aegis heart on Lana, accepting half damage for her*
<DeathStar> <Sylph> Should I beat?
<DeathStar> *puffs up*
<Jackieness> <Lana> *moves her fingers at her side, a blood red circuit pattern startign to spread out from her feet*
<DeathStar> *The giant pauses, staring8
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Are you ready to deal with the consequences?"
<DeathStar> *the bandit lifts her giant axe in response*
<DeathStar> <Gwen> *wiggles* Lana, becareeeful
<Jackieness> <Lana> *then moves a finger and a blood red pike sprign from the ground directly between them* "You have set foot upon my killing field."
<DeathStar> *Kito peeks out of room*
<DeathStar> <Bandit> ...*peers down*
<Jackieness> <Lana> *twitches a finger and another one projects upward to their side* "Make your choice."
<DeathStar> *the bandit begins to move off; motioning to her bandits to prepare to ride*
<DeathStar> *Gwen is tossed ontothe ground in front of Lana*
<Jackieness> <Lana> *watches them as they prepare to ride off*
<DeathStar> <Gwen> Becareful. She's a tricky one
<DeathStar> *he wiggles on the ground*
<DeathStar> *The bandit leader begins to ride off* <Celes> Well, that was... tense
<Sara> <Ellie> I'm sure you'll get your chance, Sylphie

<DeathStar> *Sylph nods and slinks back into the house*
<DeathStar> *Neekito tickles Ellie with tail, then follows*
<Jackieness> <Lana> *twitches a figner and two pike pop up on each side of Gwin to slash the ropes apart*

<DeathStar> *he stands up* <Gwen> Thanks, Lana.

<DSTheMysterious> *she moves toward one of the side rooms near the gym and shows her the simulation room*
<DSTheMysterious> <Asarar> You can use this room to train - put in a person or place or thing and the room will transform; eats up a lot of power. It runs on Net code in a way
<Jackieness> <Bella> "Right, Net code."
<DSTheMysterious> <Asarar> You can use it whenever you want. You two shouldn't keep Kira waiting too long
<DSTheMysterious> *Asarar heads back to the counter while Cloe peers around Bella* So what kind of training will we be doing? Beating up bad guys?
<Jackieness> <Bella> "Yeah... mom comes up with... interestign stuff." *heads for the gym*
<DSTheMysterious> *Cloe peeks into it*
<Jackieness> <Kira> "Wrap your hands up."
<Jackieness> <Bella> *looks around, pulls off her jacket, and then starts wraping ehr hands up with fighting bands*

<Jackieness> <Bella> "Ah, she wanted to come and see what we do for training."

<Jackieness> <Kira> "...I see. Anyway, I feel that lack of combat versatility is aa weakness, a weakness which I intend to see my daughter not inherit." *draws her shortblade* "And that means never being unarmed, even when your hand is empty you can defend yourself."

<Jackieness> <Kira> *then springs forward, slashing with the shortblade with Bella leaping back* "Block the blade with your hand. Force an opening in my defense, then attack."
<DSTheMysterious> *Cloe's ears flatten*
<Jackieness> <Bella> "Right..." *holds her ground and then tries deflecting the blade with her wrapped up hands*
<DSTheMysterious> *Cloe eyes Kira very blue eyes that seem to glow, as if debating if she should do something*
<Jackieness> <Kira> "You are taking too long to act and missing the chance to end this. Right now, I'm not your mother. I'm your opponent. I am not going to tuck you in at night."
