<Jackieness> <Sasha> *from her balcony* "Finals are now over, and with them, the semester comes to a close." *sips from a wine glass*

<Seraphna> **Nell ends up sitting on her, and catches the paper** What's this?

<Jackieness> <Bella> "We just got out of finals."
<DeathStar> <Seniga> The report I got when we were spending time with either jobs or schools - you know, the career choice. I got a report back stating what they think I should do and how I did.
<Seraphna> Nell> Did you get bounty hunter? **she checks**

<DeathStar> <Seniga> They think I have an aptitude toward the Academy and to be a Peacekeeper if I want after this next year of schooling. *the other option says she scored well with the Kumen Corporations* And I could, um, follow in mom's footsteps and work up there - maybe learn to build stuff
<DeathStar> *Cloé huffs, too young to do that*
<Jackieness> <Bella> "Really?"
<DeathStar> <Seniga> Yeah, not sure what I want to do yet. Guess I got another year to decide.
<Seraphna> Nell> Mine had the Peacekeeper thing too. Could be an academy thing. It also suggested construction. **she sticks out her tongue** My powers are too cool for that.
<Jackieness> <Bella> *shrugs at that* "I didn't open mine."

<DeathStar> <Fae> I wonder if spirits take the Career test.

<DeathStar> <Kalam> We know that Shin's Core is different from the Geyze Spirit's. I also tracked down the Nuclear/Multi Spirit that you all brought. She typically hangs out around Bix when she isn't doing her own thing. I discovered something interesting
<DeathStar> <Celes> And that is?
<DeathStar> <Kalam> She has a different core too; at first I thought it was going to be each world was going to have a different design or such when I noticed a small word on the core.
<DeathStar> *Kalam shows the magical scan she made of the Nuclear's Spirit's core*
<Jackieness> <Lana> *peers*
<Seraphna> Jaime> World?
<Seraphna> *word

<DeathStar> *it has the Croza word a number in their numerical system*
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Croza number system."
<DeathStar> <Celes> What does that mean?
<DeathStar> <Kalam> I'm not sure yet.
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Well, the suggestion is that the Croza manufactured those particular cores."
<DeathStar> <Kalam> IF that is the case, then the Geyze cores were not manufactured nor Shin's
<Seraphna> Jaime> So... did we pop Croza cores into our girls?
<DeathStar> <Kalam> No, I haven't seen any sign of numbers
<Seraphna> Jaime> So probably not a factor on why they're acting weird.
<DeathStar> <Kalam> But the question if we still don't know enough of the these cores.
<DeathStar> <Kalam> Lana, you said you could make one?
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Ahhh... a crude one."
<DeathStar> <Kalam> *taps her chin* Lets see if we can attempt it and see what happens.
<Jackieness> <Lana> *adjusts her glasses* "...are you sure...?"
<DeathStar> <Kalam> We need to try to understand the process; the only other thing I can think of is to go to where the cores are located and study the blank ones.
<DeathStar> <Kalam> And get data there.
<Seraphna> Jaime> We could do both.
<DeathStar> <Selena> Well
<DeathStar> <Selena> We need two spirits
<Seraphna> Jaime> Mmm, not all of them are affected by this. Only the ones that died right?
<Jackieness> <Lana> "I am wondering if this could also mean that the spirits from worlds other than Geyze were made by the Croza, using the geyze spirits as a blueprint. Alternatively, the Croza cores are how they corrupted the spirits."
<Seraphna> Jaime> So any one of the affected and then Aska, Croza, Void, Celcius and Barak could all help.
<DeathStar> <Celes> There's one flaw in your theory there, Lana.
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Yes?"
<DeathStar> <Celes> When we arrived, the way I took it the Geyze Spirits were rather new to things and the Croza had been around for a while - but had just discovered them. That means many of the other spirits were much older. If the Croza had been making them, they had to have copied them or some other race had to have done it first, right?
<Seraphna> Jaime> A progenitor to the Croza?
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Well, I think my second speculation was ore likely. The Croza cores were the soruce of the corruption."
<Jackieness> <Lana> "But yes, that would explain the relatonship of the cores to the spirits. The cores appear designed, but the Croza versiona re distinct from those of the Geyze spirits."
<DeathStar> <Kalam> I can look into the Croza influence more like the fog.
<Seraphna> Jaime> Was there any evidence that Gaia, Gale, Pyro, Levianthan or Frost had Croza cores put into them? I know they were corrupted.
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Here is soemthing... try scanning the elder spirits that had been corrupted during the Croza perios."
<Seraphna> **Jaime nods**
<Jackieness> <Lana> *points at Jaime* "Psych!"
<Seraphna> **Jaime giggles**

<DeathStar> <Selena> I suppose we'll be busy for the next few hours
<DeathStar> <Selena> We'll bring the Elders here - that'll allow us to open the Core Room, and scan the

<DeathStar> *They seem to have it all in the Nue Age Quadrant*
<DeathStar> *Shade meanwhile is torturing Aska with various selections*
<Seraphna> **Nell tries on a few, she's a lot like Luci, except for the tiger tail, ears, and some black stripes in her skin, slightly more athletic too**
<Jackieness> <Bella> *eyes Seniga's sleection and then goes for a two piece as well*
<DeathStar> *Cloé huffs at the older girls looking better in bathing suits than her, slumping*
<DeathStar> <Cloé> Getting special classes, prettier....

<DeathStar> <Shade> Alright, everyone set? Lets go to the beach. *As Shade prepares to lead them out, they run into Selena and company*

<DeathStar> <Selena> WE were looking for Shade and Aska. *She explains*

<DeathStar> *As the faux core begins to form, Lana begins to observe something odd - massive amounts of spirit energy is drawing from the planet*
<DeathStar> *into a ball like shape*
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Ahhh... that is interesting." *makes some notes*
<DeathStar> <Gwen> Is that...okay?
<Seraphna> Talia> Umm... it's draining Spirit Energy from Geyze so prolly bads.
<DeathStar> *as Talia says that, a "core" is finished*
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Ahhhh, that answes the question about charging it."
<DeathStar> *Selena and the rest arrive*
<DeathStar> <Frost> *eyes the faux core* That a blank core?
<DeathStar> *Kalam sets up her magical scans on the Elders*
<DeathStar> <Selena> I see you did it, Lana
<Seraphna> **Jaime tilts her head** So a core being made takes a drain on the planet.
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Ah, yes. It finished charging just before you arrived."
<DeathStar> <Kalam> I have theories on but I need more time before I voice them
<DeathStar> <Kalam> The Elders' cores are fine; no sign of any Croza numbering
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Like I said, its a bit cruder than the cores locted in the Spirit World shrine, but it is functional, if not a little bit bigger."
<DeathStar> <Shade> Croza Numbering?
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Ahhhh? Well, that eliminates that hypothesis. What then does it all mean?"
<DeathStar> <Kalam> I'll have Shade and Aska help me gather some blank cores for us. I'd like to experiment on a few.
<DeathStar> *Gwen sets out drinks for everyone*

<DeathStar> *The kids arrive at a beach Ymir has made outside of Kumen City; Seniga relaxing*

<DeathStar> *pants, peering into the water; as the others stare, some gang member lifts Cloé up and walks off with her*
<Seraphna> **Nell turns her surfboard and flies for the gang**
<DeathStar> *the gang members try to stuff Cloé into a van*
<DeathStar> *who is clawing their faces*
<Jackieness> <Bella> *jumps to her feet and runs toward the gang van*
<DeathStar> <Seniga> Huh?
<DeathStar> *Turns her head*
<Seraphna> **Nell holds out a hand and starts crushing the van's front so it can't go**
<DeathStar> *the gang members jerk at that, and with Cloé clawing the hell out of them drop her*
<DeathStar> <Cloé> Mrrr
<Jackieness> <Bella> "Hey, what's the big idea?!"
<DeathStar> <Gang> Great, another one. Lets go
<DeathStar> *They hurry off the beach*
<Jackieness> <Bella> "Better run!"
<DeathStar> *Cloé flops onto her butt as Seniga shakes a fist and peers into the van, blinking and holds up something* They had Cloé's picture
<Seraphna> **Nell frowns deeply and lands her board, peering at it** Why'd they say 'Another one" anyway?
<Jackieness> <Bella> "Probably saw me coming to murder them."
<DeathStar> *Seniga muses*
<DeathStar> <Seniga> Lets becareful. Not sure why they wanted Cloé.
<Jackieness> <Bella> *climbs in and searches for soem more clues*
<DeathStar> *there's rope, cloth for gagging, and of course the picture. There's also a communicator*
<Seraphna> **Nell frowns and points** Can we track that?
<DeathStar> <Seniga> I'm not sure
<Jackieness> <Bella> "Yeah... we could. Let's get this back to the club. Mom could find them with it."
<DeathStar> *Cloé sticks close to the group*

<Jackieness> <Lana> I could put one together. My arcane tools could also let me take one apart... right?"
<Seraphna> Jaime> Why does this feel like...taboo?
<DeathStar> *the spirits are eyeing them, but are saying nothing*
<Jackieness> <Lana> *adjusts her glasses* "...do not murder me in my sleep, please."
<DeathStar> <Shade> Do what must be done
<DeathStar> *She motions*
<DeathStar> *As she says that, a loud crash sound can be heard outside*
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Ahhhh?"
<DeathStar> *The Elders turn their heads and Frost and Gale head outside*
<Seraphna> **Jaime blinks and moves over to check too**
<DeathStar> *Sylph is out there with Fae, who is helping her up; the Spirit has burn and water damage all over her*
<DeathStar> <Sylph> ... *twitches her wings which look wrong in places* Ow.
<DeathStar> <Fae> It'll be okay. Come on.
<Seraphna> Jaime> They've been fighting again!?
<Seraphna> **Talia hops over and tries to heal Sylpj**
<DeathStar> <Fae> Momma was patroling and saw Salamander and Brooke fighting.
<Seraphna> Jaime> Where?
<Seraphna> **Jaime walks over, trying to see what Fae visualizes when asked**
<DeathStar> <Fae> Said it looked like it could spill over here. Um, near the borders of their but also near the borders of Hapian
<Seraphna> **Jaime nods, vanishing, though she's grabbing Alita before heading there**
<DeathStar> *Salamander and Undine look like they didn't fare much better with the battle with Sylph*
<Seraphna> **Alita checks on Undine and Jaime handles Salamander, since they each have pacts with them**
<DeathStar> *the two eyeing each other, as they two arrive and rise up* <Salamander> We'll go our own ways for now. <Undine> You should quit being Mykel's lapdog.
<Seraphna> **Alita muses** Come Undine, we must get you settled and I will talk to my husband about honoring spirits.
<Seraphna> **Jaime sighs and teleports Salamander away before it can escalate again**
<DeathStar> *The two Spirits turning and moving back into their Kingdoms; after they move off, Gnome rises up from the ground to nab anything left behind*
<DeathStar> <Shade> I suppose you should go ahead and do what must be done if things are esclating like this Lana
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Right. Well... let's begin..."
<DeathStar> *As Lana cuts into the core...*
<DeathStar> *a bright light emits, even from a blank core, and massive amounts of spirit energy begins to shoot out, burningly so, melting the tool*
<DeathStar> *and pushing anyone nearby back*
<DeathStar> <Selena> Holy. *She goes into spirit form to try to help*
<Seraphna> **Talia squeaks, pulling people back**
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Ahhhhhh!"
<DeathStar> <Gwen> It's the end of the world!
<DeathStar> *Vyvy comes in and uses her abilities to absorb damage*
<Seraphna> **Jaime gets back, going spirit form herself to deal with the energy, hyperspace too in order to increase her capacity**
<Jackieness> <Lana> *lets out a breath* "The amount of spirit energy concentrated inside the core was unexpected."
<DeathStar> <Kalam> Well. Interesting
<DeathStar> *She peers into the core shell, but finds it dissolving*
<DeathStar> <Kalam> It's breaking apart.
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Ahhh!" *runs over and scans it*
<DeathStar> *The core seems to have nothing to it anymore, and is simply ceasing to exist*
<DeathStar> *The energy having returned to environment - hopefully*
<Jackieness> <Lana> "No obvious moving parts... its like the inner workings were formed from solid state spirit energy."
<DeathStar> <Selena> That goes over my head
<DeathStar> <Kalam> I think it might give us some ideas going forward
<Seraphna> Jaime> Did we get the energy or did it go back? **she muses and feels over herself to be certain**
<Jackieness> <Lana> "OK, its like how I cna weave shield generators and spell cannons from raw mana."
<DeathStar> *it would appear that it went back to the planet, if it did*
<DeathStar> <Selena> I see.
<DeathStar> <Kalam> I like to run some tests with Lana
<DeathStar> <Kalam> But after we're done we'll present our findings to you all

<DeathStar> *Asarar's purple eyes glow as she holds the communicator, her hands having lines run through them as she seems to be accessing it*

<DeathStar> <Asarar> It looks like there was so calls on it. There was bounty for it looks like familiars.

<Jackieness> <Bella> "...who? Why?"
<DeathStar> <Asarar> I would imagine someone has been running a certain trade again. *she pulls out a cig* That's much too high level for you girls.
<DeathStar> <Cloé> Trade?
<Jackieness> <Bella> "...someone needs to do somethign before they try to steal Cloe again."
<DeathStar> <Seniga> ...
<Seraphna> Nell> Yeah! Kitty napping is bad!
<DeathStar> <Asarar> .... *she lights it* Fine. But you stick to the back and do what I say
<Jackieness> <Bella> "Right."
<DeathStar> *Asarar hands reach of them little tiny zappers and pulls her coat on* Come, lets go
<Jackieness> <Bella> *heads out after Asarar*
<DeathStar> *After walking along the slum areas, they arrive in quadrant 5, Asarar holding out a gun and motions the children to move to the corner out of sight of an old looking building's entrance* I'm going to go in and begin clearing it out. You all stay here and keep and eye out for trouble for me. <Seniga> But--- <Asarar> No buts; there's a lot of gang members here and we need them to question.
<Jackieness> <Bella> *moves into cover*
<DeathStar> *Cloé complies and waits along with Bella and Seniga; Asarar moves to the door and touches it, her hand twisting the knob and breaking it open, then sliding in*
<DeathStar> <Seniga> IT's boring out here
<DeathStar> *inside Asarar and slight scuffles can be heard as she takes people down; however, one gang member begins to approach the door, having been out getting food for the others. Spotting the door open, he draws his weapons and begins to creep forward*
<Jackieness> <Bella> "If we do this right, we'll get more privileges. More mission opportunities too."
<Jackieness> <Bella> "Speaking of... there is that trouble that she wanted us to keep an eye out for." *comm* "Mom, supply runner coming in through the door, weapon drawn."
<DeathStar> *Asarar acknowledges; as the man enters to ambush her, she reaches and grabs him and a thud is heard*
<DeathStar> <Seniga> We could have taken him
<DeathStar> *Cloe hmphs*
<DeathStar> *Her tail whaps Seniga*
<DeathStar> *after a bit, Asarar leans out and waves the children in*
<Jackieness> <Bella> "Come on." *heads through the door*
<DeathStar> *They find the gang members tied up and things rifled through. Asarar is holding credits and in the back a few fauna girls are tied up*
<DeathStar> <Asarar> I have good news and bad news
<DeathStar> *Cloé jerks and moves to help the girls*
<Seraphna> **Nell helps too**
<DeathStar> <Asarar> Which would you like first?
<Seraphna> Nell> Is any of them about a pizza?
<DeathStar> <Asarar> No, but if you all want I can reward you with some
<Jackieness> <Bella> "Bad first. Always get the good last to soften the rest of your day."
<DeathStar> <Asarar> The bad news is that these aren't the people who want the familiar girls taken. They're just the hired gang hand. So the "order" is still out there, but the good news is by taking these clowns off the street we slowed down the people who suddenly want Familiars as pets. *she's clearly trying to soften saying slaves or sex slaves* That'll give us more time to question these guys and go through the channels of finding them
<DeathStar> <Asarar> Maybe even have them crawl back in their hole and stop for a long time before they try again
<Jackieness> <Bella> "so we still don't know who the buyers are?"
