<Jackieness> <Lana> "80%... I mean, I'd be more positive if we had time to run a study..."
<DeathStar> *Selena follows a pathway on the branch, though oddly they branches seem more like stable pathways*
<Seraphna> Kaelan> Do we WANT to risk waking it up early?
<Alicia> <Victoire> "NO!"
<DeathStar> <Andrea> Remain calm, little singer
<Jackieness> <Lana> "We're not exactly sure how to kill it, even in a weakened state."
<Alicia> <Victoire> "It's not easy with that thing there..."
<Seraphna> Kaelan> I guess we keep in goal.
<DeathStar> *as they put some distance, something can be seen in space approaching the tree*
<Alicia> <Victoire> "What's that?"
<DeathStar> *Selena holds up her hand* It looks like a multitude of stars
<DeathStar> *many dots approach*
<Jackieness> <Lana> *weaves a panel to magnify the dots*
<DeathStar> *Hundreds of Anti Spirits approach the tree*
<DeathStar> *The terrible looking monsters not appearing friendly*
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Ahhhhh...this is not good."
<Ariel> <Nicolette> "Okay, that's more than we can fight. What's the plan?"
<DeathStar> <Andrea> That's a good question
<DeathStar> <Andrea> I'm not even sure if there's a way off this ... tree
<Jackieness> <Lana> "We don't even know why they decided to migrate in this direction."
<DeathStar> <Selena> Wait, we need to get to their Geyze and there might not be a way off?
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Well... we... ahhh... how were we going to get there?"
<Seraphna> Kaelan> Shadow jumping?
<DeathStar> <Andrea> That's pretty far even for me. I could try to tap into Kaelan's power
<DeathStar> <Andrea> And power myself as well, but it'd be down for the count
<Seraphna> **Kaelan muses** We got any pocket star ships?
<DeathStar> *a few of the creatures land on the tree and begin to approach. They seem to be targetting Selena first for some reason*
<DeathStar> <Selena> H-Hey!
<DeathStar> *Selena powers up into her spirit form and that makes more of them go after her*
<Seraphna> Kaelan> That was like saying hey come eat me.
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Ahhh! They are hngry for spirit energy. You need to suppress it!"
<DeathStar> <Selena> ... *She powers down*
<DeathStar> <Selena> They are still coming either way!
<Seraphna> **Kaelan hurls a shield out at them to burn with explosive foxfire**
<Jackieness> <Lana> "...ok...in theory they won't be able to handle arcane energy the same...so..." *starts to weave a mana-fueled barrier egenrator*
<DeathStar> *the ant-spirits seem to move like void like creatures, skittering in the shadows of space when the explosive foxfire hits them, consuming the foxfire*
<DeathStar> *moving oddly as they eat the energy*
<DeathStar> <Andrea> ... they seem to be eating it
<Seraphna> Kaelan> Seems it could be any energy?
<Ariel> <Nicolette> *attempts to lob a regular arcane fireball spell at the spirits, seeing if that will hurt them
<Seraphna> Kaelan> Mistress do they remind you of anything?
<Jackieness> <Lana> *plants her barrier around the team*
<DeathStar> *Nicolette draws their attention as they consume the fireball* <Andrea> I haven't made a proper decision yet. *she grabs Kaelan and begins to take energy* We're going to attempt a shadow port
<DeathStar> <Andrea> Keep them busy
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Ahhh... we'll try."
<DeathStar> *more of them have begun to land on the tree and are approaching, smacking the barrier, trying to take mana from the barrier, consuming it like endlessly hungry creatures*
<DeathStar> *more and more landing like something out of a horror movie*
<Seraphna> **Kaelan works with Andrea, having Su help too**
<Jackieness> <Lana> "If I had time, I could try shifting my barrier to try to feel like Anti-Spirit life force... if you cna call it that."
<DeathStar> <Selena> What would that even be like?
<Alicia> <Ceilidh> "That's a good idea... a bit hard to do on the fly, though."
<DeathStar> <Selena> They're eating magic, mana, spirit..
<Jackieness> <Lana> "It would be like an energy void. Not easy to just set up when you are being attacked!"
<DeathStar> *Andrea finally opens up a shadow port* Inside. *she yanks and puts in Selena first due to her being a half spirit*
<DeathStar> *The barrier begins to crack*
<Alicia> * Victoire darts through right after Selena
<DeathStar> *The creatures reaching for Nicolette as the next tasty one*
<Ariel> * Nicolette heads after Selena quickly, trying to think of anything she has that might affect these things
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Everyone through!" *holds the barrier so that the others cna escape*
<Alicia> * Ceilidh pulls Lana through with her once everyone else has left
<DeathStar> *The group end up on what looks to be a Geyze like world*
<DeathStar> *Andrea, true to her word, has shifted to a younger teenage form, clearly in conserve energy mode; she pushes herself up, grunting*
<Alicia> * Victoire takes deep breaths, calming down once finally away from giant ghost snakes and anti-spirits
<DeathStar> <Andrea> Alright, you kids can take the lead
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Let me...catch my breath..."
<DeathStar> *Selena looks around; a road sign can be seen further down the dirt road path so she runs down it* Be right back
<Seraphna> Kaelan> **carries Andrea over her shoulder**
<Alicia> <Ceilidh> "Where are we, anyway?"
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Geyze, maybe?"
<Ariel> <Nicolette> "It feels... alien."
<DeathStar> <Andrea> We should be on the Mirror Universe of Geyze, if what we were told is right; where all our energy is being sent thanks to the Phantom
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Whose plan still does not make any sense to me..."
<DeathStar> <Selena> *is staring at the sign post; as they catch up, it has familiar town names, the group not being too far from the Ent Forest, but there is also Kumen Village names, indicating there is also Kumen continents on the planet*
<DeathStar> <Andrea> All I can figure is he wants to get rid of Geyze and Kumen as potential enemies unless he is using them as some sort of experiment for himself
<Seraphna> Kaelan> …Were they ever one world?
<Alicia> <Ceilidh> "... I don't think so."
<DeathStar> <Selena> I think I heard rumors that the Spirit Realm connects Kumen and Geyze and that their mirror images of their landmasses, but one world?
<DeathStar> <Selena> No
<DeathStar> <Andrea> So ....?
<Seraphna> Kaelan> This mirror reality seems like it’s in a fun house.
<DeathStar> <Andrea> If it's one world here, does that signify something?
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Ahhhh... its theoretically possible though... but we have no way to confirm."
<DeathStar> <Selena> *turns to Lana* If they were one world, once, what would it mean?
<Seraphna> Kaelan> Only if that’s the original we may wanna be worried about the planets trying to merge.
<DeathStar> <Selena> Merge? Pardon?
<DeathStar> *she seems to be heading for the Ent Village as they talk8
<Seraphna> Kaelan> Just a passing thought.
<Alicia> <Ceilidh> "Ah?"
<DeathStar> *as the group nears the forest, on the outside it looks normal*
<Jackieness> <Lana> "That's the big question...when we went into Geyze's past, we didn't see any evidence of this... hwoever, we weren't looking either."
<DeathStar> <Andrea> Are we seriously going in there?
<Seraphna> Kaelan> We’d have been better off with Jaime here but we should be fine.
<Alicia> <Ceilidh> "Why wouldn't we?"
<Jackieness> <Lana> "The main threat are more anti-spirits."
<DeathStar> <Andrea> This is one of those forests that eat little girls like Nicolette here and the Queen
<Seraphna> Kaelan> Met my first wife that way.
<DeathStar> <Andrea> .... Like I said
<Ariel> <Nicolette> "Little girl?" *crosses her arms*
<DeathStar> <Andrea> *sizes Nicolette up* I guess YOU're a young adult.
<DeathStar> <Andrea> Even if you're wearing that "eat me" outfit
<DeathStar> *Selena steps into the forest*
<DeathStar> <Selena> Lets go
<Seraphna> Kaelan> It is tasty, I mean tasteful.
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Ahhhh?"
<DeathStar> <Andrea> *slowly wakes Kaelan*
<DeathStar> *whacks
<Alicia> <Victoire> "Are you really sizing up the Maka?"
<DeathStar> *as they travel the path to the Ent Village, they eventually, with nothing happening, come across it. With what appears to be humans running the Ent Village now; Selena finds a tree outside the village proper to kneel down and stare*
<DeathStar> <Selena> ... This is ... strange.
<Seraphna> Kaelan> I’m married to a Maka.
<Ariel> <Nicolette> "It's hardly the least practical adventuring garb around."
<DeathStar> *Andrea props herself up against the tree to rest*
<Jackieness> <Lana> "...maybe the Anti-Spirits don't know how to impersonate Ents."
<Alicia> <Ceilidh> "That'd make sense."
<Seraphna> Kaelan> The ents we’re kinda cute though.
<Alicia> <Ceilidh> "I feel like continuing that line of thought will lead nowhere good."
<DeathStar> <Selena> Lana.
<DeathStar> <Selena> Can you feel out Gnome or Sylph? If not you, Nico?
<Seraphna> Kaelan> Don’t we have Ceildh with us?
<DeathStar> <Selena> If she can do it
<DeathStar> <Selena> Sure
<Seraphna> Kaelan> She’s the Earth Hero right?
<Alicia> * Ceilidh tries to do so
<DeathStar> *Selena pauses. glancing at Ceil*
<Alicia> <Ceilidh> "Not sure if that counts here, but I'll try."
<Ariel> * Nicolette closes her eyes as she tries to reach out to see if she can feel any spiritual energy from their world.
<Jackieness> <Lana> "I'll see what I cna do..." *weaves a sensory construct to detect the spirits*
<DeathStar> *the combined might of all of their sensory abilities - Ceildih can sense faintly feel Gnome nearby, while Nicolette can detect two spirit energy sources close to each other, which is odd, and Lana picks up two spirits fairly close - all of them coming from the grotto ,underneath*
<Seraphna> **Kaelan tilts her head** So you’re feelin’ two. Maybe the other’s Sylph?
<Jackieness> <Lana> "...under us..."
<Alicia> <Ceilidh> "I think I found Gnome!"
<Alicia> <Ceilidh> "You sense her too?"
<Ariel> <Nicolette> "I'm not sure who I can sense, but... there's someone out there."
<Seraphna> Kaelan> Well let’s look.
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Just two, no details."
<DeathStar> <Selena> *eyes all the people about, and tries to stealth over to the grotto*
<DeathStar> *the grotto being off to the side of the main village*
<Seraphna> **Kaelan sneaks over to it as a fox**
<Jackieness> <Lana> "...ahhh?"
<DeathStar> <Andrea> I'll catch up
<DeathStar> *as they reach the grotto, they find two people sitting on top of the spot the spirits are supposedly buried, eating what looks to be some sort of lunch and chatting with one another about plants*
<Jackieness> <Lana> *tries to be as stealthy as she can be*
<DeathStar> *Selena pauses and looks where to hide, throwing leaves on top of herself*
<Seraphna> **Kaelan listens in**
<Alicia> * Victoire sneaks in close, in fox form, also just listening
<DeathStar> *They seem to be going through the motions of Ent like protection of the forest while enjoying sandwiches with vegetables in it*
<DeathStar> *talking about the forest today*
<Seraphna> **Kaelan muses and steals a scrap**
<DeathStar> *They pause, turning to look in Kaelan's direction and rise, checking her area out silently*
<Ariel> * Nicolette just keeps her distance and seems uninterested in the two, so they hopefully don't bother her. She's trying to figure out of the spirits she sensed are the same two here
<Seraphna> **Kaelan sneaks away around them and under the table**
<DeathStar> *leaving the spot with the spirits unguarded; Selena shifts with the leaves on and checks it out, realizing they'll need to find a way to dig down or warp down, gesturing at the others*
<Jackieness> <Lana> *just wiggles her fingers, but then taps her ear to indicate it could be noisy*
<Seraphna> **Kaelan peeks into a shadow to find shadows below them**
<DeathStar> *Nicolette would, indeed, by the way, sense the spirits under the ground are the ones they all sensed*
<DeathStar> *The guards return to their spot, making Selena retreat ,to eat*
<DeathStar> *Kaelan meanwhile finds two spirits near each other, but something feels odd*
<Seraphna> **Kaelan hops out of Serena’s shadow** Found them, but something is weird about them. **she whispers**
<Alicia> * Victoire does similar shortly after.
<DeathStar> <Selena> *low voice* Okay, can we pull them out then?
<DeathStar> <Selena> Going down seems more dangerous
<Seraphna> **Kaelan pushes tendrils into the shadows and pulls them out**
<Jackieness> <Lana> "...maybe...but we don't know what we might actually fish up."
<DeathStar> *Kaelan yanks out Gnome and Sylph, who are as faded as their bodies in the Prime Geyze are; the two open their eyes, but seem able to move and be touched. They immediately begin to grapple with each other, trying to use their powers on one another in their weakened state*
<DeathStar> *the dark Vision liquid visible on their bodies, almost like a poison*
<DeathStar> *dripping off*
<Seraphna> **Kaelan baps them**
<Jackieness> <Lana> "...I should have brought a part of spirit traps..."
<Seraphna> **With tendrils**
<DeathStar> *Kaelan is blown off*
<DeathStar> *landing in front of the guards, who have begun to turn into monsters*
<Seraphna> **Kaelan puts their bowls over their heads**
<Alicia> <Ceilidh> "I definitely missed something."
<Ariel> * Nicolette uses her cards to cast a healing spell on the two spirits, hoping it'll have some effect on this ichor
<Jackieness> <Lana> "...they're anti-spirits in human form... its a thing."
<DeathStar> *doing a 1 out of 12 roll, Kaelan's bowl technique somehow confuses the monsters and they stand still*
<Seraphna> Kaelan> **just slowly nods and moves to the others**
<DeathStar> *The two pause as the healing seems to slosh some of the black liquid off onto the ground*
<DeathStar> <Sylph> ... *pants*
<DeathStar> <Gnome> ... *lets go of Sylph's throat*
<Seraphna> **Kaelan muses and dumps drinks over thrm trying to wash more off**
<Jackieness> <Lana> "We need to retreat before more of them come."
<Alicia> <Ceilidh> "...something seems familiar about this."
<DeathStar> *the two spirits sputter, wet*
<DeathStar> *The sticky substance coming off a bit more. Suddenly the sky crackles with a storm* <Selena> What is that?
<Jackieness> <Lana> *looks up*
<Seraphna> Kaelan> Either a storm or Barak.
<DeathStar> <Selena> OH iright. *Barak, likely sensing the other spirits, fires a lightning bolt down, setting part of the forest on fire. Making more Anti Spirits rise up*
<DeathStar> <Selena> He's staying up there - we can't reach him
<Alicia> <Ceilidh> "Barak, can you *not*?!"
<DeathStar> *more lightning begins to rain down and Sylph pulls Gnome close*
<Seraphna> Kaelan> Sure we can… **she muses, then sends a dark orb up at him**
<DeathStar> *Barak sends lightning at it*
<DeathStar> *Selena goes spirit mode as the Anti Spirits begin to close in at the group, drawing her sword*
<Seraphna> **Kaelan holds it and has it start pulling Barak down** Come to Momma.
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Ahhh... how are we going to escape?"
<DeathStar> *Barak crashes and begins to crackle dangerously; sending sparks at Lana and Ceilidh*
<DeathStar> *The Anti Spirits also begin to draw in to consume*
<Seraphna> **Kaelan sighs and launches tendrils at Barak** Wake up you dumbass.
<Jackieness> <Lana> *weaves a barrier to protect against the lightning* "WE are running out of time!"
<Ariel> * Nicolette continues to focus on healing the two spirits while they have a chance.
<Alicia> * Ceilidh assists with her healing knowledge
<DeathStar> *Barak gets beat up a bit and falls over, sparking while Sylph and Gnome are cleansed. AT that moment, a voice speaks up from the bushes* <Male Voice> This way. *the shadow figure waves them into the woods*
<DeathStar> <Selena> Come on, someone grab Barak. *She hurries into the woods*
<DeathStar> *Sylph floats Gnome and goes*
<Seraphna> **Kaelan pulls Barak along with tendrils, probably hitting roots**
<DeathStar> *Barak sparks along the way, causing fires*
<Jackieness> <Lana> *retreats after the voice*
<DeathStar> *The group is chased through the wood and flames, but the Anti Spirits seem to vanish after a time, or perhaps they are still behind them somewhere*
<DeathStar> *The figure stops leading them, and turns - Samson looks around* Are any of you hurt?
<Jackieness> <Lana> "...just scared..."
<Alicia> <Ceilidh> "How did I miss what was going on here for so long?"
<Ariel> <Nicolette> "Could use time to rest, but..."
<Seraphna> Kaelan> Tired. The spirits are covered in black ick and I’m hungry.
<Alicia> <Ceilidh> "What do we know about the black goo?"
<DeathStar> <Sylph> Sylph thinks most of it is off
<DeathStar> <Gnome> Thanks to Nico and Ceilidh
<Seraphna> **Kaelan nods, rubbing random leaves over Barak to clean him with tendrils**
<DeathStar> <Samson> I couldn't tell you that - didn't even know the spirits were here, just that a lot of energy began to be pumped into the place a few days ago
<DeathStar> <Samson> Speeding up a few things.
<Jackieness> <Lana> "What things?"
<Seraphna> Kaelan> Yeah it’s a drug called vision draining energy to here.
<DeathStar> <Samson> This place has been trying to rebuild what has been missing since everything went to your reality. Leaving a gaping, hungry void
<DeathStar> <Samson> I think things have been returning when that came back. *he points at the crystal tree* To defend it.
<Jackieness> <Lana> "We noticed the anit-spirits swarming the place when we were there."
<Alicia> <Ceilidh> "...and I suddenly know what Vision is..."
<DeathStar> <Selena> What?
<DeathStar> *Barak weakly sits up once some of the gunk is off; then grabs Gnome, making her eek; Sylph comedically whaps her*
<Alicia> <Ceilidh> "I'd usually not talk about this, but... the cat's out of the bag. It's Origin. A drug that causes things to return to the way they were in the original universe."
<Seraphna> **Kaelan keeps cleaning**
<DeathStar> <Selena> Okay, yeah. I think Adeline was rambling about something along those lines, but I'm not sure why it has anything to do with putting in Geyze or this place
<DeathStar> *Barak drops*
<Alicia> <Ceilidh> "Well, normally it causes people to gain the memories of their previous self, which can... really overwhelm them... but if you don't have one..."
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Ah, because the spirirts are originally from this reality."
<DeathStar> *Samson studies them, then seems to be studying the sky*
<Seraphna> Kaelan> One of the old guard got soaked in Origin and nearly went crazy with a second set of memories.
<DeathStar> <Selena> Okay, so we have the spirtis. We need to find a way back home
<Ariel> <Nicolette> "So... the tree wasn't here? Could that be because of Vision?"
<Seraphna> Kaelan> We could try another shadow jump.
<DeathStar> <Samson> The tree appeared, for us, a few years back
<DeathStar> <Samson> I'm not sure if this Vision had anything to do with that; but the vision is definitely speeding up growth of things
<DeathStar> <Samson> The Anti Spirits, you see...
<DeathStar> <Samson> They don't like remembering they are Anti Spirits, and take on human personas
<DeathStar> <Samson> More cities have begun to appear and they are taking on more roles the last week
<DeathStar> <Samson> I'm guestimating as time goes on this will continue
<Alicia> <Ceilidh> "I wonder why though."
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Accelerating? Maybe that explains the Serpent. Its more visible here thn on our side, I mean..."
<DeathStar> <Samson> It's possible. As for finding a way home, there might be paths, but I'm not sure if any of them are what you want to hear
<DeathStar> *Samson kneels and brings out a map*
<Alicia> <Victoire> "...oh no. I think I know what the plan is now..."
<Jackieness> <Lana> "What?"
<Alicia> <Victoire> "They want to combine the worlds... to revive the Serpent..."
<DeathStar> <Samson> I'm not sure if that's the case, but if that happens I'll work to stop them
<DeathStar> *Selena squats with him and Samson points at the map* <Samson> I've explored this planet and it has a region of territory that is much like the Spirit Realm, though none of the Anti Spirits recognize it. The spirit realm part of the planet is in the middileish area
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Again, why? What do they gain by doing that?"
<DeathStar> <Samson> The other way would be to return to the tree, if you have transportation.
<DeathStar> <Samson> Or a reality gate
<Alicia> <Victoire> "What do Serpent worshippers gain by worshipping the Serpent?"
<DeathStar> <Samson> I'm not positive if they are Serpent worshipers. I'm certainly not
<DeathStar> *he peers at Victoire meaningfully*
<DeathStar> <Selena> *eyes their options* Kaelan.
<DeathStar> <Selena> What are the odds you can get us to the tree?
<Alicia> <Victoire> "Oh, sorry, I didn't mean the anti-spirits."
<DeathStar> *Samson nods to Victoire*
<Alicia> <Victoire> "I meant the Phantom and anyone else who was distributing Vision."
<DeathStar> <Samson> That is beyond my wheelhouse
<Seraphna> **Kaelan combines with Su** Here we go!
<DeathStar> *Andrea sits, charred*
<DeathStar> <Andrea> ... Ow
<DeathStar> <Andrea> You all didn't have to set the place on fire
<Jackieness> <Lana> "... ... ...he did it." *points at Barak*
<Seraphna> Kaelan> Barak did that. **pulls Andrea.l close for the ritual**
<DeathStar> *The group warps and appears back on the Centerpoint Tree, bypassing adventure and fun*
<DeathStar> *of course, it activates the Anti Spirits, who are headed back for them*
<DeathStar> <Selena> Does anyone remember where the entrance to the Pathways were?
<DeathStar> *Samson keeps an eye out for them*
<Seraphna> Kaelan> **Kaelan wraps some spirit energy in a dark orb and shoots it out away from them**
<Alicia> <Victoire> "Why are they doing this?" *starts towards the Pathways*
<DeathStar> *Sylph flails, holding Gnome* <Gnome> They do not like us.
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Ahhh...why?"
<DeathStar> <Samson> They are ... obsessed? Programmed? Into protecting this place from others.
<DeathStar> <Selena> We need the entrance to work our way back home
<Alicia> <Victoire> "But... I'm supposed to be here...?"
<DeathStar> *the branches of the tree all look the same, outside the giant serpent looming over them nearby*
<DeathStar> *Samson glances at Victoire* Oh?
<Alicia> <Victoire> "I got permission from the tree." *looks proud*
<DeathStar> <Samson> Interesting. <Selena> That's right - Vicky, touch the walls of the tree
<DeathStar> <Selena> See if something happens

<DeathStar> <Lumi> This should expand and fix the infighting. In the meantime, Jikuu and Erevis - we need you to go after the infected hyperspace cage that Jaime made
<DeathStar> <Lumi> And free the real Salamander. This should help stop the proxies she's making. Once she's freed we can get a core into her
<DeathStar> <Lumi> Be wary of the infected hyperspace getting into your hyperspace.
