<DeathStar> *there's an ominious feeling throughout the planet since the beginning of the year, with people feeling more paranoid, depressed, like stuff is out to get them, angry, antsy, all the darker emotions; many students have not resumed the newer semester and tensions don't feel heightened per say, but something is definitely off.*
<DeathStar> *Gwen is not even out doing his usual stuff, opting to stay at Luci's bar*
<DeathStar> *at the Hapian Castle, things are not much better*
<Seraphna> **Luci pours Talia another milk, who occupies Gwen's lap**
<DeathStar> *Either*
<DeathStar> *staff has decreased, not coming into work, leaving Selena and Celes a bit in a pinch*
<DeathStar> *Celes flops into a seat with boaks on the spirit realm*
<Jackieness> <Lana> *has updated her lab at the Castle and is already at work*
<DeathStar> <Gwen> Talia. We should leave this place.
<Seraphna> **Terra runs by Celes, dropping motivational fruit**
<Seraphna> Talia> Mew?
<DeathStar> <Gwen> The school is essentially so low on students it might as well be winter vacation. That Peace guy is no Lumi. We might as well ditch this place and go to the castle. Maybe Lana misses us.
<DeathStar> *Gwen stares outside at Sylph flying about*
<Ariel> * Nicolette has been spending less time at the academy, outside of the first year class she teaches.
<Seraphna> **Talia muses** I guess we could visit at leasts. We have Momma's new charge to look after though.
<DeathStar> *Gwen grabs his coat and pays his bill, opting to walk for the castle, Celes meanwhile opens her book, reading passages, then stands up and rings a bell to call the others to her*
<Jackieness> <Lana> *looks up* "Ahhhhh?"
<Seraphna> **Talia hops on his shoulder**
<DeathStar> *A servant stands by Lana* It seems Lady Celes requests your audience
<Ariel> * Nicolette puts her tome aside in her study, and heads off to the Queen mother's chamber
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Ahhhh.... umm... ok." *powes down whatever she was working on and then heads off to see Celes*
<DeathStar> *Celes seems to be drawing something as they arrive; the two worlds. Selena slips in with the rest, but holds herself in the back*
<Jackieness> <Lana> *shifts a bit* "...ahhh...you called?"
<DeathStar> <Celes> Welcome. *She turns her head* I think I might have an idea, but you both are the experts, along with Ceilidh - but she seems to be missing. I hope this strange atmosphere hasn't gotten to her
<Seraphna> **Terra pops back in** I think she's in my training course.
<Ariel> <Nicolette> "Yeah, it's like mid-winter funk has settled in all over." She sighs.
<DeathStar> *Celes studies the unusualness of the Earth Spirit being in the Light Spirit's Castle, but shrugs* We know the First Spirit/Sprite, was born around this area, then the other three.
<Jackieness> <Lana> "That is our theory, wth some observation to support its validity."
<Seraphna> **Terra sneaks over towards Sorren's rooms, she's not all that good at sneaking, it's possibly the pink hair**
<DeathStar> <Celes> And we know the Protos maniuplated the two planets to try to make it more likely they would bring about these Natural Spirits. But we're pretty sure Aska and the rest did not make the Spirit Realm, which lies between the two worlds. *She taps the space inbetween* And the Protos almost definitely anticipated it's creation. So did they make the Spirit Realm, or did the First Spirit make it?
<Jackieness> <Lana> "I don't have enough data points to hypothesize."
<DeathStar> <Celes> Well, I was thinking, based on that answer, it might help us definitely pin point where the First Spirit is at. If he/she created it, they could have used all their power and could be no more. If/she created it, and could be somewhere near here in the creation point as Aska was drawn to it. Or if the Proto race made it, then it could have withdrawn into the Realm and be anywhere
<DeathStar> *Soren is near the top where Aska usually resides*
<Seraphna> **Terra pounces her**
<DeathStar> *Soren seems to have been looking out the window, thus being distracted before cursing in some gamer l33t talk*
<Ariel> <Nicolette> "I... hmm. When you put it that way..." She ponders a moment, "I think it would have to have been the first spirit. The proto expected the formation of the spirit realm, but we haven't found any sign that they intended to make it. And they weren't around when the first spirit formed."
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Ahhhh... I wonder if the specific siting of the Spirit Shrine in the Spirit Realm was chosen for a reason."
<Seraphna> Terra> Is that Ancient!? **she hugs on Soren**
<DeathStar> <Soren> S-Sure. *She fluffs her wings* What brings you here?
<DeathStar> <Celes> I'd like to believe the spirit is around since structures were found. The Realm had things in it to aid the Spirits.
<Seraphna> **Terra holds up a glowing fruit** Need blessing.
<Jackieness> <Lana> "How much of the Spirit Realm has ever been mapped?"
<DeathStar> <Selena> Hm. I believe Aska once told me the realm is fairly large, but it has one tricky thing to it - it grows as more spirits are born. So they might not know what all is there now.
<Jackieness> <Lana> "I want to see if there is any pattern to the points of interest there."
<DeathStar> <Soren> What sort of blessing? *she seems to be peering out*
<DeathStar> <Selena> Well, I'm sure that can be done
<Seraphna> Terra> Purification~
<Jackieness> <Lana> "We never looked because we had assumed that it grew organically just like Geyze itself... but... with all these ancient aliens being involved.."
<Ariel> <Nicolette> "Well... we could put together a camping trip in the spirit realm as a cartography expedition."
<DeathStar> *Celes muses* I'd like to believe Nicolette is right and the First Spirit had a hand.* <Soren> Sure, but first I should warn everyone about something. Come. *She grabs Terra and yanks her down to the meeting; right as a snow man arrives, let in by Kito*
<Seraphna> **Talia rides the Snow Man, clearly having completed some sort of holiday quest and attained a new mount**
<Ariel> <Nicolette> "I feel like this temple hasn't revealed all it's secrets yet."
<DeathStar> <Celes> There are a lot of temples in the Spirit Realm that unusual as well, near the Castle.
<DeathStar> <Soren> I have bad news.
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Oh? That is where we should start thene."
<DeathStar> <Soren> *She speaks up*
<DeathStar> *Gwen shakes off the snow*
<Ariel> <Nicolette> "Bad news?"
<DeathStar> <Soren> I do not know if it's the bad air, but a few of my copies have been coming across gastly sights. And so I've gotten in touch with mother and there has been rumors of similiar stuff on Kumen.
<Seraphna> Terra> It's the bad lady.
<DeathStar> <Soren> People are killing familiars to consume their mana. If this is the case, it might also happen to spirits with their cores.
<Seraphna> **Terra squeaks** That's evil!
<Ariel> <Nicolette> "Wait, they... what?"
<Seraphna> Talia> They're WHAT!?
<DeathStar> *Gwen stiffens8
<DeathStar> <Soren> I imagine the call will be sent out to the Peacemakers soon
<Jackieness> <Lana> "...by what process are they consuming the mana of a familiar?"
<DeathStar> <Soren> I'm unsure, I imagine they are going for the "Heart" of the Familiar
<Seraphna> **Talia has angry kitty look**
<Seraphna> Terra> Forest will shelter poor Familiars if need.
<DeathStar> <Selena> That's.. just... who could make themselves eat another person?
<DeathStar> *She looks unusually ill*
<Jackieness> <Lana> "That makes no sense... mana is not digestible by consumption." *shifts her glasses* "...these familiars are likely being murdered for no reason beyond delusion."
<DeathStar> <Soren> Hm. *She thinks* It depends actually
<Ariel> <Nicolette> "It... sounds a lot like the spirit fossil situation."
<DeathStar> <Soren> Normally I would agree with you Lana, but Familiars store a lot of Mana in them - it is their lifeblood. And their creation process is unusual.
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Though technially if you used a ritual, you could probably extract the mana from the remains."
<DeathStar> <Soren> If a blood mage was to "Consume" their "Heart" or another creature - we are not sure if it's a human after all.
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Ritual angle."
<DeathStar> <Selena> *Rubs her face*
<DeathStar> <Selena> Can we move on from the gory details?
<DeathStar> <Selena> Either way, with the dark gloom oppressive atmosphere going on, we're going to have people possibily trying this, right?
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Right. Whether it works or not is less relevant than people out there who believes that it might work."
<DeathStar> *Gwen puts Talia in a cage; then puts her up on a shelf in the castle*
<DeathStar> <Gwen> Stay
<DeathStar> *He walks out*
<Ariel> <Nicolette> "We need to figure out what is driving people to this, because it can't just be a feeling of doom and gloom."
<DeathStar> <Celes> From what I understand in the Alliance
<DeathStar> <Celes> It's due to possibily two things
<DeathStar> <Celes> As far as the atmosphere
<DeathStar> <Celes> The serpent is causing the doom and gloom feeling, or that "thing" is. And people are probably using it as an excuse
<Ariel> <Nicolette> "Thing?"
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Ahhhhh?"
<DeathStar> <Celes> Lana's arch nemesis
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Oh...the Black Pharaoh."
<DeathStar> <Celes> But as far as this case...
<DeathStar> <Selena> Soren, can you take us out into the field?
<DeathStar> *Soren bows; the group is warped and they appear near the Magi Tower Village*
<DeathStar> *as they arrive, they can see the Mages are in an uproar about something*
<DeathStar> <Soren> The attack happened that way. *She points near the houses* Asarar's team was here investigating
<Jackieness> <Lana> "It makes sense. Most of the familiars would be here..."
<Ariel> * Nicolette peers that way, but sticks near Soren, in case things escalate
<DeathStar> *Selena and Celes walk along, finding Asarar slumped against the wall of the village, looking surprisingly out of it; a body is on the ground, with her crew investigating it. It's definitely a familiar as they near it. Odd Asarar seems to be out of it from a familiar. Delgi stands to the side, holding a gourge mark on her arm*
<DeathStar> <Linnet> ...*is kneeling by the body, healing in the air*
<Seraphna> **Terra looks about, peering over curiously** What happened?
<DeathStar> *gouge
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Ahhhh...what happened?"
<DeathStar> *laying on the ground, they can see Bonnie having what looks to be a chest hole, her body already fading*
<Seraphna> Terra> **looks a bit broken at what she's seeing**
<Ariel> * Nicolette pales when she gets sight of the victim
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Ahhhh!"
<DeathStar> <Delgi> She protected me. Even if Chelsea was here, having that much damage to her... it was just...this being appeared and just ripped out her chest
<Jackieness> <Lana> "...wh..what being?"
<DeathStar> <Delgi> It was like a mage I thought, but at the same time it seemed to transform into a creature bit into her, ripping it out with large teeth, then it moved away rapidly before I can do anything
<DeathStar> <Asarar> ... *grinds teeth*
<Seraphna> Terra> Can't revive? I can find Mana Fruit?
<Jackieness> <Lana> "We've seen outsiders impersonate magi before..."
<DeathStar> <Asarar> It took out of her that seemed to cut her strings
<DeathStar> <Linnet> The horrible things is I've been hearing reports about people believing they can get powers by doing what happened to Bonnie
<Jackieness> <Lana> "W...we should follow the trail before it gets cold."
<DeathStar> <Asarar> Right
<DeathStar> *she wipes blood on her coat* Come on
<Ariel> * Nicolette closes her eyes with a shudder, then nods.
<DeathStar> <Selena> ... *hurries along; familiars eye them through windows; due to the majority of them looking like Bonnie, assuming they're the cat familiars, they are painful reminders so Asarar ignores them.*
<Seraphna> **Terra looks sad and confused, Jaime appearing after a moment to look around**
<DeathStar> *the trail leads down the road - it looks like an animal trail*
<DeathStar> <Celes> This is odd.
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Ahhh..odd?"

<DeathStar> <Celes> It keeps changing shapes. ... It reminds me of something
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Yes?"
<Jackieness> <Lana> "...oh...wait...the Hunters?"

<DeathStar> *the trail stops at the edge of a mountain cliff*
<DeathStar> <Asarar> ....*looks around*
<DeathStar> *The drop seems to be a good 30 feet*
<DeathStar> *Then another*
<DeathStar> *then more*
<Seraphna> **Jaime tilts her head and peers down and around where it should have landed if it jumped**
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Maybe they think they can turn themselves magic..."
<DeathStar> *if it jumped, it would have to be really good at jumping and jumping and jumping; one bad jump and it would have gone tumbling down*
<DeathStar> *but if assuming it WAS good... it could have made it all the way down to the bottom and kept going*
<DeathStar> <Selena> So, what are we thinking?
<Jackieness> <Lana> "We need to catch up to it."
<DeathStar> <Selena> Alright, I'll take us down
<DeathStar> *Selena glows and a moment later they all end up in a snow drift*
<DeathStar> *Celes coughs, unable to get out*
<Jackieness> <Lana> "I'm stuck!"
<Seraphna> **Jaime slowly rises out of the snow, the Earth lifting her and Terra up**
<DeathStar> *Selena frees herself and helps Lana*
<DeathStar> *their communications beep*
<Ariel> * Nicolette flails trying to get free, not having a history with snow
<Jackieness> <Lana> "...th...thank you."
<DeathStar> *Selena lifts Nicolette into her arms for a moment, then sets her down*
<DeathStar> *Asarar turns their communications on* Yes?
<DeathStar> <Linnet> Um, we got a problem!!
<Ariel> <Nicolette> "Saved~."
<DeathStar> <Asarar> Did the thing circle back?
<DeathStar> <Linnet> No; I informed Cloé that she needed to come back because her mother was... passed on and the body had vanished. She asked for more details and drug it out of me about this thing and suddenly got this look and hung up. I think she's coming there to battle. She'll get herself killed like her mother
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Ahhhh...we need to find it fast."
<DeathStar> *Asarar nods and moves along the snow*
<DeathStar> *the group soon reaches a clearing, where they spot something odd; a large tree one can go inside*
<Ariel> * Nicolette draws her cane and cards
<Jackieness> <Lana> "That looks sus..."
<DeathStar> <Celes> *creeps toward it and begins to enter it when she suddenly curses, jerking back*
<DeathStar> *an arrow seems to be sticking out of her shoulder*
<DeathStar> <Selena> Mom! *She pulls Celes back* <Celes> I think... something important is down there.
<DeathStar> *She motions at what looks to be a ladder going into a hole in the tree*
<Ariel> * Nicolette moves to Celes' side, "I'm going to remove the arrow, and use a healing spell. Are you ready?"
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Where did the arrow come from?"
<DeathStar> *Celes nods and takes a deep breath; ASarar studies* <Asarar> I see nothing
<DeathStar> *there appears to be no launcher that they can see*
<DeathStar> *Selena worriedly paces* <Selena> You should have Soren or Terra take you back to the castle
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Did it come from inside or outside?"
<DeathStar> *Asarar prepares herself* We'll have to find out. *She jumps down; vanishing from sight, despite the drop only being 6 feet, almost like there's a cloak there*
<Ariel> * Nicolette yanks the arrow free with a sharp tug, and then calls upon the cards to heal the wound. "If this what we think it might be, you should see a healer to make sure there isn't anything exotic." She slips the arrow under her cape, in case they need to analyze it later.
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Ahhh...?" *looks at where Asarar jumped*
<Seraphna> **Terra hmms** Not like the idea of evil trees. Trees are good and Ent like.
<DeathStar> *Celes makes a noise, hissing then nods* Thank you, Nicolette. *She wipes her forehead* Very well. I will have Soren take me back for now and get you all some back up. *Lana meanwhile would see the bottom of the "hideout" but sees no sign of Asarar. However, she hears some faint noises below*
<Jackieness> <Lana> "...ok...everyone...on me."
<Ariel> * Nicolette retrieves her cane and conjures a sphere of light
<Jackieness> <Lana> *weaves her whield like platform over the drop and steps on it*
<Jackieness> shield
<DeathStar> *Lana drops down and finds herself in a little hideout where a makeshift teleporter is setup, turned on, and Asarar is struggling with 5 gangmembers, all clearly humans pinning her and trying to tie her up. Seeing more come, they rush for the teleporter, but it's already starting to turn off*
<Seraphna> **Terra raises a hand and thorns burst out of the ground to cut them off**
<Jackieness> <Lana> *raises her hand and weaves again, takeing her platform apart and trying to snag them inside a shield bubble*
<Seraphna> **Jaime blips, appearing overhead of them and coming down on one with a Hyperspace kick**
<DeathStar> *They are easily caught and Jaime easily uh, hyperspaces one to uh, burning him in half*
<Ariel> * Nicolette pulls the judgement card, trying to tie down as many of those trying to escape as she can
<Seraphna> **Jaime feels only partially satisfied. Letting the other crooks stew over that**
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Ahhh...? Was that necessary? What if that was the one who knew the full plan?!"
<DeathStar> *Those not caught are now actually rushing to Nicolette*
<DeathStar> *To BE caught*
<DeathStar> *Asarar frees herself as the teleporter shuts off*
<DeathStar> <Asarar> Dammit!
<Seraphna> Jaime> Then the rest may know the full plan together and will want to share it more readily lest they become next.
<DeathStar> <Selena> What's wrong?
<Seraphna> **Jaime pulls out a datapad and starts working a trace on the teleporter**
<DeathStar> <Asarar> The real threats went through; they were using these guys to slow me.
<Seraphna> Jaime> Unfortunate, we'll see if we can trace the energy signature and location.
<Ariel> <Nicolette> "So... cultists?"
<DeathStar> <Asarar> I don't think so actually
<DeathStar> <Asarar> They were... super fast.
<DeathStar> <Asarar> Didn't get a good look, just heard a scruff, deep voice for these guys to deal with me if they wanted power
<Jackieness> <Lana> "...what if they are using familiar parts to counterfeit spirit fossils...?"
<Seraphna> Jaime> Hunters possibly.
<Seraphna> Jaime> They can be fast.
<DeathStar> *it appears this makeshift teleporter, is based on the ancient teleporters on Geyze, like the ones in the Castle*
<DeathStar> <Selena> If this is a Geyze teleporter, there's only a few locations it could go to
<Seraphna> Jaime> Hrm... this won't be as easy for me to trace as it isn't one of ours. But yes it does narrow it down deeply too.
<Jackieness> <Lana> "What places then?"
<DeathStar> <Selena> I imagine it wouldn't teleport right to my castle, but it might could go near it. Another location is the Magi Tower - again I doubt it would take it right to it, but near it
<DeathStar> <Selena> *motions where they are8
<DeathStar> <Selena> Shinobu's Tower.
<DeathStar> <Selena> Qui's place. And the Kalam's place. I believe that is it?
<Seraphna> Jaime> Hrm... this feels like a massive vulnerability.
<DeathStar> <Selena> I was unaware you could do a hack of our teleporters, yes.
<DeathStar> <Selena> So where do we want to risk attempting?
<DeathStar> *she eyes their gang members*
<Ariel> <Nicolette> "Too many places. We don't have enough people to split up... can we contact feet on the ground?"
<DeathStar> *Selena contacts Peace*
<DeathStar> <Selena> Mister Peace. Can you use your Peacekeepers and send them to these locations? *She reads them off and pauses* What's that? Gwen is? *She listens*
<Jackieness> <Lana> "...Gwen is...what?"
<DeathStar> <Selena> It appears Gwen left for the Dark Lands - after all the stuff the past few years with them becoming more isolated and Shinobu seperating from Mykel, he was fearful of disaster striking from there. IT appears that it's becoming more ... well, in Peace's word, the situation is darker since the oppression wave hit. Gwen suspects the familiar attackers might be there.
<DeathStar> <Selena> Daemons being attuned to the mood is not unheard of after all
<Seraphna> Jaime> And he went on his own?
<Jackieness> <Lana> "He went alone?!"
<DeathStar> <Selena> Apparently his goal is to keep Talia from being eaten. I think he locked her in the castle
<Seraphna> Jaime> No doubt she's teleported back to her Mistress by now. Still relatively safe either at the Academy or Void's Temple
<Jackieness> <Lana> "OK, we cna take this teleporter to the Daemon Lands..."
<DeathStar> <Selena> Start her up, Lana.
<DeathStar> *Selena makes sure Nicolette is okay while they wait*
<DeathStar> <Selena> Are you feeling okay?
<Jackieness> <Lana> *gets to work trying to get it working*
<DeathStar> *the teleport slowly starts up*
<DeathStar> *sucking Lana in*
<Ariel> <Nicolette> "I... yeah, I'm alright. We need to help Gw-Lana?!"
<DeathStar> <Selena> *takes Nicolette's hand follows*
<DeathStar> *and
<Seraphna> **Jaime muses and steps throught, Terra poofing to follow her own way**
<DeathStar> *as they step in, the group arrives at a horrific sight; bodies of familiars with their chests ripped open, jars full of strange things. It looks like mana along with a "core of blood", likely what has been being ripped out of them, the cores shining bright with mana, some more so than others. Blue hair cat familiars are the majority, along with some white hairs, along with other familiar types*
<DeathStar> *Selena leans over and retches*
<DeathStar> <Asarar> ... *seems to find something odd that she can't put her finger on*
<Jackieness> <Lana> "...its a specific pattern of familair..."
<Ariel> * Nicolette looks... suddenly less okay
<Seraphna> **Jaime takes a slow breath, a killing intent slowly settling around her**
<DeathStar> <Selena> So many... *she eyes the jars* All this for that?
<Jackieness> <Lana> "...if this is what they are trying to construct, we should deprive them of it."
<Seraphna> Jaime> ...Can we restore the cores to them?
<DeathStar> <Selena> How would we know which ones go to which?
<Seraphna> Jaime> Mana types. Many mages have signatures in their Mana. Familiars must carry that with them.
<Seraphna> Jaime> Also this. **She hands Selena a datapad** Match the scans that say DNA match.
<Seraphna> Jaime> They only look like, their cores were made from the blood of different magi.
<DeathStar> *Selena eyes it; when they hear a noise from the room above them; indeed, stairs off to the side lead upward*
<DeathStar> <Selena> Someone is coming
<Seraphna> Jaime> Good.
<DeathStar> <Selena> We might not want to fight in here
<DeathStar> *She motions at the jars*
<DeathStar> <Selena> Or damage the bodies
<DeathStar> *Asarar heads for the stairs*
<Ariel> * Nicolette nods, and moves to intercept the thing coming
<Jackieness> <Lana> *stays in the back of the group formation, but sitll follows*
<Seraphna> **Jaime frowns at that and nods, focusing as Earth rises up to gently cover bodies and jars for safety before following the others, drawing a blade that seems like it's broken up by a light spectrum**
<DeathStar> *Asarar and whatever it is opens the door at the same time; it appears to be a wolf werebeast, wearing a bloodied apron. It's aura seems to sing with a magical hue that is not it's own, as the two stare at each other*
<DeathStar> <Werebeast> .... *eyes them, then shifts into a giant wolf and tries to bite Asarar's head off*
<DeathStar> *in one giant bite*
<Seraphna> **Jaime warps behind it and stabs with the Element Blade**
<Ariel> * Nicolette doesn't slow and attempts to bodycheck the wolf
<Jackieness> <Lana> *weaves a shield ball in the creatures mouth*
<DeathStar> *The wolf makes a noise and dashes into the next room, where two more of the wolf werebeasts are, bleeding as they stand up. At that moment, Gwen busts through the front door with Cloé*
<DeathStar> *the three wolves swallow what look to be bloodied cores and begin to look like they are "high", their bodies twisting and growing, one's arm stretching for Jaime, while the other two dash for Gwen and Cloé*
<DeathStar> <Gwen> What the hell?
<Seraphna> **Jaime slashes at the arm as she blasts with her free hand at it's chest**
<Seraphna> Jaime> Wonder after they are dead.
<DeathStar> *The wolf creature bleeds, surviving for now as it's other arm goes for Nicolette's face to grab at it*
<Jackieness> <Lana> *raises her hands and then starts weaving rapidly, mana coalescing into an arcane device* "Give me an opening."
<DeathStar> *Gwen and Cloé deal with one of the wolves; it seems to be focused on Cloé, probably trying to eat her as her hair goes purple, aiming to pummel them*

<DeathStar> *Even as Lana is shaken a bit, she manages to drop one of the werebeasts*

<DeathStar> *another of them grab Cloé, and breaks out the front window, leaving one behind; it decides to eat Lana, dashes for her as it enlarges it's mouth to eat her whole*

<Ariel> * Nicolette draws in the flams around her, and then channels them at the wolf charging Lana

<Seraphna> **Jaime infuses the sword, it practically vibrating with hyper-spirit as she comes in with a speedy slash**
<DeathStar> *The wolf's form mutates, and it somehow dodges, but's clear it's burning the familiar core inside it to do so*
<DeathStar> *it eyes Cloé hungerily, needing a new one*

<DeathStar> *Asarar shoots from a building to slow it down*
<DeathStar> *the creature, burned from Jaime and shot, stumbles as Cloé punches it and falls over*

<DeathStar> *it slowly morphs back into a werebeast*
<Seraphna> **Jaime holds out a hand, earth encasing the beast almost like a coffin, but giving it room to breathe** Far from over.
<DeathStar> *Cloé walks past them, dead eyed and nowhere near her normal self, about to wander off when Selena guides her back to the building

<Jackieness> <Lana> "I have the mana they ingested along with what they had captured in the jars below... maybe they could be reassembled in the familiar chanmber under the Spire."
<DeathStar> <Selena> This sounds complicated. So we use this Dee-N-A machine and match it with the bodies below
<DeathStar> <Selena> And try to find which of these jars go to which familiar
<DeathStar> *Gwen peers out the window, noticing a lot of Daemons have taken notice of them, and many do not look happy*
<DeathStar> <Gwen> The local populace is not happy. We should gather what we can and bail. That or hope we can get in touch with Shinobu - fast
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Ahhh...and I should dissect at least one of these werebeasts to figure out how they developed this mana mutation."
<DeathStar> *Peacekeepers arrive, before the local Daemons can do anything, and set up a blockade to protect the house and the group*
<Seraphna> Jaime> We'll restore the familiars, whether it's here or if we can take the. THey're the priority.
<DeathStar> *Unit 9 setting up camp in front of the house and keeping the population back*

<DeathStar> *Since the Incident, Shinobu hasn't made any statements about the Werebeasts or what happened in her lands, but as the Unit 9 and Unit 6 - still the designation of the primary Peacekeeping Unit, work on the problem and attempt to restore the dead familiars, if it's a possibility. They soon match all the cores to all the familiars, having an extra core left over with no body to match it to since Bonnie's disappeared*
<DeathStar> <Cloé> ... *sits outside, not paying attention to much as Linnet has brought the Familiar machine to Lana to try to restore a familiar*
<DeathStar> <Kalam> There is too possibilities.

<DeathStar> <Kalam> We could try to put the cores into them and have their master on hand as well
<DeathStar> <Linnet> Or we could try the familiar machine, which might just make a new familiar with no memories
<Jackieness> <Lana> "We should attempt the former first. I need to make preparations to work with the Familiar machine anyway."
<DeathStar> <Linnet> Alright, we'll do a test run with this Familiar. *She picks Familiar #19 along with their Master*
<Jackieness> <Lana> *pulls up the notes she gathered while in the two Magi past periods and starts studying*
<DeathStar> *Cloé holds the jar with Bonnie's blood core, eyeing it*

<DeathStar> *Sasha is suddenly contacted while the Familiar Restoration Project is occurring*
