Gwen props his head up, eyeing them all as the guards have made the rowdier ones who have flunked out leave but it seems new ones keep showing up for the summer classes that are beginning soon*

<Ariel> <Nicolette> "Well, there's no obligation to take more students than we can handle. I just hope it doesn't get too competitive to gain a spot, I rather want to finish my studies."
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Ahhhh....isn't Mykel in the doghouse now?"
<Seraphna> Threna> He is no doubt trying to earn back her favor.
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "More than the doghouse, I'd say!" *appears, looking like she hasn't slept and obviously upset by it all*
<DeathStar> <Shinobu> From what I understand, Mykel is not a favorite of many of the leaders - since he is trying to join the Suisen Empire.
<Alicia> <Sparkling> "Isn't that... something you're not supposed to do without everyone else?"
<DeathStar> <Shinobu> ... That could break the Alliance since we are only allies with them, not full blown members.

<Jackieness> <Sasha> "And beyond the diplomatic mess he has made, he is also allegedly responsbile for this! This!" *waves ahand at the crowds*

<Seraphna> Threna> Mmm, thankfully Mykel’s chances of actually ruining our Suisen relationship is low.

<Seraphna> **Jaime reappears to scoop up Terra and pauses at the chaos** Shouldn’t this have died down already?

<Jackieness> <Sasha> "They keep arriving, Jaime. My faculty are spending more time maintainign order than teaching."
<Seraphna> Jaime> I guess we need a plan B then.
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "This is exacerbated by the summoni still rebuilding. Right now, we practically are the only summoning school."
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Spirit fandom..."
<Seraphna> Jaime> Eh, one of two. But mostly true.

<Seraphna> Jaime> The ents have their own tradition of summoni for Gnome after all. They’re helping Kalam.
<DeathStar> <Kalam> Plus it seems a loto f them only want the spirits.
<Seraphna> Jaime> Speak of the Zephyr like sage and she appears.
<Alicia> <Ceilidh> "I understand the appeal of the spirits."
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "They understand 'spirit courses', but act as if they were playign games. This is a resposibility."
<Seraphna> Jaime> It’s why many of them will not pass trials.
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Most don't even pass the entrance exams."
<Ariel> <Nicolette> "Hrm..."
<DeathStar> <Kalam> They probably would be best suited for Kalam's idols.
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "However, they do not return home. They cling to some hope that maybe another student will drop out and give them another shot."

<Seraphna> Jaime> That gives me something of an idea.
<DeathStar> <Kalam> If you look at the holonet, Mykel tried to mimic the idea of marketing the younger generation spirits to get people to come here. The legion has always done that kind of stuff.

<Seraphna> Jaime> Mmm. So we need idol camps.

<Jackieness> <Sasha> "the problem is that his bright idea was dumped on my lap... then he has the audcity to try to break away and join the Suisen without the agreement of the reast of the Alliance."

<Seraphna> Jaime> Something that originated in the same place as idols. A place where the obsessed father to await their idols appearances.

<DeathStar> <Kalam> Well, I can work with Jaime and we can try to take wrangle these students. It might not hurt to perhaps use them with the Summoni and see if any of them actually HAVE talent.

<DeathStar> *Selena eyes the more technologically advanced capital of the Legion. Salamander is there in a firey - literally - dress as does Shinobu and her sister, Neophyx, in black dresses*
<DeathStar> *waiting outside the building for them. Rain so far is nowhere in sight, probably getting last minute things done as people are arriving all over Geyze for Alita's birthday - that aren't pissed off at him*
<DeathStar> *Gwen tugs at very nice shirt*
<Seraphna> **Jaime escorts the Ent Queens if they are coming, having shifted into a green gown**
<DeathStar> *Selena, for her part, is in a long white dress and her mother has opted for red one*
<DeathStar> *The two ent Queens look a bit miffed, but have indeed come*
<Seraphna> Threna> The big question is if he remembered to invite Alita.

<DeathStar> *Death stands behind Ceilidh, having her pale hair done in twin tales and seems to be wearing something that is making people whisper - wearing a barely anything at all, her dress barely covering her body. Gwen turns and jerks*
<DeathStar> *As Salamander opens the doors and allows them inside, they find Alita is indeed inside and gifts are already being piled up for her*
<DeathStar> <Shinobu> ... *joins Alita* It looks like you're still popular at least.
<Ariel> * Nicolette has ended up with a navy dress of shifting blue with silver woven in the image of stars, looking mystically like the night sky. She keeps touching her hair, trying to get used to not having a hat, and missing her cloak.
<Seraphna> **Alita herself has come, in a gown that both matches Undine’s aesthetics and Void’s love of neutrality when it come to color** It seems so… I admit I have not given Mykel the time he deserves of late.

<DeathStar> *Celes takes a look about as she stands with Alita as well* It seems most of the leaders have come. *she spots Qui and the Ents. As well as Max's sister*
<Ariel> <Nicolette> "Still trying to learn the unwritten rules of formal attire. So much more complicated than just preparing for stage."
<Seraphna> Alita> Mykel was smart with this move politically. I have done little to lose favor with any nation it seems.
<DeathStar> <Selena> I had all of this drilled into my head. You would not believe how much goes into walking and dancing when it comes to a Hapian party. Thankfully, the Legion are not so strict.
<Alicia> * Ceilidh looks worried, hearing that, even with the "not so strict" line
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "You still represent the Hapian dynasty, dear niece."
<DeathStar> <Selena> That is indeed true. *She bows her head*
<DeathStar> *Selena leads Nicolette to the Hapian table*
<Seraphna> **Jaime sticks with the Ents, her dates since it’s unwise to bring Spirits to other domains right now**
<DeathStar> *the Ents move to their tables and it seems everyone has been divided up into regions*

<Seraphna> **Alita smiles and moves to take her seat, pulling her twin sister to join her since it’s really both their birthday**
<DeathStar> *Celes joins the Hapian table, gracefully sitting. Gwen eyes the Amazon table where Qui is sitting, then shrugs and sits with the Hapians*

<DeathStar> *Mykel steps out and the crowd quiets a bit* <Mykel> I wanted to thank you all for coming to the party to celebrate my two wives' birthday. *he gestures* It's a special day. After the celebrations, I have some announcements

<DeathStar> *He steps off the stage and food and drinks are served to everyone*

<DeathStar> *Selena and Celes properly eat, looking very stiff and proper as they do as Mykel joins Alita and sits by her*

<Ariel> * Nicolette puts her performance skills to work at... blending in. Being used to being watched by crowds comes in useful after all.
<Alicia> * Ceilidh winces at the news

<DeathStar> *Mykel smiles and offers to feed her and Ceilia*
<DeathStar> *Selena watches Mykel, sighing, knowing she cannot do that in public. Celes looks amused*
<Seraphna> **Threna frowns** I grow worried about her more. Though she has recently started to act so I expect that's why this is hitting now.
<Seraphna> **Alita lets him have his fun, especially since Ceilia is always interested in it**
<DeathStar> *Lumi eyes articles like - Thena. Satan Reborn? Needing sacrices? Read this article. What is the Suisen Covering up"
<Alicia> <Ceilidh> "Oh come on, there's no way Thena's that bad."
<DeathStar> <Selena> It is a good thing we do not have that type of garbage here. There is no way they would dare print that trite on Geyze

<Seraphna> Threna> These look like they were written by a really bad scam artist. There is irony though... if they were seeking to take her down this is the opposite way of doing that. **she says quietly to Lumi**

<Seraphna> Threna> Infamy is a bit more substancial than fame after all. This will keep her in minds for ages.

<Seraphna> **Threna sighs sadly** We had to fall into the negative news cycle at some point... it saddens me that it was facilitated by those pirates.
<DeathStar> <Celes> And Mykel will want to spread it to other regions once his people can no longer be "milked" for coin. That is the correct termage right?
<DeathStar> *As the food is wrapped up, the dancing scene begins. Mykel pulls Alita up and Ceilia, dancing with them both. Shinobu sticks close by with her sister as the regions mingle, whispering about Mykel*
<DeathStar> *Gwen stands up, offering a hand to Lana for a dance while Qui looks for someone to dance with*
<Seraphna> **Talia pops into girl form and holds out a hand to Qui**
<Jackieness> <Lana> "D...dance?"
<Seraphna> **Threna takes Lumi to dance**
<DeathStar> <Gwen> If you'd like. *he smiles*
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Ummm...ok..." *stands and takes Gwen's hand*
<DeathStar> <Lumi> *dances with Threna, slow dancing with her* We'll figure something out. Maybe we should open up an Academy newspaper.
<DeathStar> *Gwen pulls Lana close and begins to dance with her; actually pretty good after all these years. Celes remains seated, since Liana remained home*
<DeathStar> *Selena observes people, making note of the mood of the room in thought*
<Ariel> * Nicolette hangs by the edge and watches, oddly, not making a move to the floor herself.
<Jackieness> <Lana> *just lets Gwen lead since her clumsiness is well known*
<Seraphna> Threna> It is indeed an idea... it seems my sister has similar thoughts. As a bunch of Idol blogs are starting to publish in her favor... I hope the second part of her plan goes smoothly.

<DeathStar> *Nicolette would note, outside Leaf and Cassava dancing, always a couple leader, most of the leaders are hanging to the edge and talking - the Naturalist leader, Kalam with Kito, Qui since she can't find a date to dance with, and Shinobu with her sister. They seem to be almost converging slowly and whispering to each other, though they do make it natural*

<DeathStar> <Selena> I believe Mykel is going to bring up what he's been doing lately and probably advance it further. Maybe try to convince the rest of us to join him so he's not breaking Alliance terms, but will go forward with it anyway. And the leaders are going to revolt
<DeathStar> <Selena> And we are going to have to throw the Legion out of the Alliance.
<DeathStar> <Selena> But I'd like to know is where he got the idea from
<Seraphna> **Jaime muses** I was pretty certain that Lenneth politely turned him down. But we'll figure out something.
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "I agree with you. He may also be starting a wave against the Legion that will bear no fruit. As far as I am aware, the Suisen have not admitted only a portion of a planet."
<DeathStar> <Celes> It would be unusual
<Seraphna> Jaime> We simply don't. We also don't hold a majority responsible for a minority either.
<DeathStar> <Celes> But we have not seem the logs; he might have argued that the majority should not hold back his Kingdom from wanting to join the Suisen either

<Seraphna> Jaime> I'm perfectly happy to put the legion on a moon somewhere.

<Seraphna> Jaime> You're already on a higher position than a normal allied planet, as you house Suisen Royals.
<DeathStar> <Celes> While that is true, we are not a member planet like the Gitari used to have. It is like Earth or the Guardians. So I suppose we would be ...rank II maybe?
<DeathStar> <Celes> I believe Mykel wishes to be a complete member. Rank III.
<Seraphna> Jaime> Considering I myself was going to propose that in the future, when the children were older, I may just have to fold him into my plans. I want the best for Terra.
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "But again, only a relatively tiny portion of the planet. To be blunt, our world is not ready to join the greater galaxy."
<Seraphna> Jaime> But I will make it plain that destablizing the alliance won't do his region any favors in progress.
<DeathStar> <Selena> Also we are too close to Earth
<DeathStar> <Selena> Becoming a full member of the Suisen Empire could be risky.
<Seraphna> **Jaime nods** That's why I wanted to wait a bit.
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "And given our counterpoint orbit, I feel that we would need Kumen's agreement as well."
<Seraphna> **Jaime muses** Of course they would, but I doubt Ymir would be that resistant.
<DeathStar> <Selena> They are indeed part of the alliance. I am shocked Ymir is not here
<Ariel> <Nicolette> "Were they invited?"
<DeathStar> <Shinobu> Knowing Mykel..?
<Seraphna> Jaime> There's a high chance Mykel forgot that part too. Which continues to weaken whatever move he wants to make.
<DeathStar> *as the music dies down, Mykel moves to the stage while everyone is having fun*
<Seraphna> Jaime> Since I was in the room when we told him that the planet would not advance without the rest of it in tow... I am a bit curious if he plans to say otherwise. **She whispers**

<Jackieness> <Lana> "S...sorry, Gwen...I've just never been very coordinated."

<DeathStar> <Mykel> Thank you all for coming to celebrate my wives' birthday. You all have been wonderful allies over the years - and I know we have failed you in many aspects.

<DeathStar> <Mykel> I have been in talks with the leaders of the Suisen Empire as many of you have heard. *there's some grumblings from some of the Alliance leaders* I have been inspired to perhaps to see if it was doable to have one Kingdom leave the Alliance and join the Suisen Empire, to see if it was possible to become a full member of their Empire. *he pauses dramatically* The problem is that it would mean disupting the Alliance
<Seraphna> **Jaime muses, so far it's twisting what he was told, but in a fairly diplomatic way**
<DeathStar> <Mykel> *motions* And I know Alita would not be happy with me if I did that. So I've called off my talks. And I wanted to apologize to you all.
<DeathStar> <Selena> *sips her punch* That seems a little too easy.
<Seraphna> Jaime> Maybe, they are bonded.
<Seraphna> **Alita smiles at that**
<DeathStar> <Mykel> But I do wish to push forward with the idea of joining the Suisen Empire. So I will put forward the motion at our next meeting. We are being attacked constantly and we need more technology. Our world is changing and our spirits need to step up on a galactic stage.
<DeathStar> <Mykel> We are not a little world anymore. So I hope you all consider that.
<DeathStar> *He joins Alita*
<Alicia> <Ceilidh> "Yes, it was entirely Alita's decision that they not join the Suisen Empire..." *sarcastic*
<DeathStar> <Selena> Yeah, I think Lenneth did turn him down but he's going to force the issue next meeting
<Ariel> <Nicolette> *tilts her head* "Hm... that wasn't what I expected."
<DeathStar> <Celes> Well, it is his right.
<Jackieness> <Sasha> *holds up a hand* "...be tactful right now. Act neither smug nor dismissive."
<Seraphna> Jaime> I'll put together something of a compromise.
<Seraphna> Jaime> THe last thing we need is this on top of all the other issues.
<Seraphna> Jaime> Considering I set precidents already, he likely hasn't looked though.

<Jackieness> <Sasha> "In the meantime, I suggest that we find out what was really wanted from this drive and see if we can satisfy it."

<Seraphna> **Alita smiles and starts having mini spirits bring them the gifts to open**
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Oh, we should not show weakness either. However, we do need to manage this situation with some care."
<DeathStar> <Salamander> It would be nice if he has a leader with a plan. *She eyes Edna getting into the punch - that is spiked*

<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Before this, they had been crowing about Suisen technology. We should kill two birds with one stone. strengthen the allince with closer trade ties with Kumen."

<Seraphna> Jaime> Hey, maybe if we cooperate more, it'll help our spirits remember how they used to cooperate too.
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Precisely. And it would improve tiws between the worlds. Right now Kumen is part of this Alliance but still at a distance. We need to change that."

<DeathStar> <Kalam> Majority of them are not going to be good candidates for summoning. It likely is something to do with Geyze. I say 15% of them make good candidates. Like Ceilidh is low so far but Nicolette is well versed, it's hit or miss.

<DeathStar> <Kalam> As for faith, there's a decent amount, but it's on the on side. I think they see them as more like ... figures you see on a show or something. I'm worried the faith might be misplaced. It's there, but I'm hoping it won't bite me. Which worries me for Kumen down the road.
<DeathStar> <Kalam> There's a small percentage that is fine, but like I said, I'm worried for the majority of it
