<DeathStar> <Asarar> The theory of there being more than one prototype being around might be true. We did possibly detect something while checking near the Legion border, but it too vanished using the signature we discovered

<Jackieness> <Lana> "Ahhhh either way... we could lose them if they went deep enough underground, they used an unmapped teleporter, or they found an unmapped spirit realm breach."
<DeathStar> <Selena> Well. I was thinking on some things. With the Magi books taken, outside the notes taken by mother and you all, there might be another source of information remaining
<DeathStar> <Gwen> Please tell me that time travel is not involved

<DeathStar> <Selena> I was thinking - Kalam. The Spiritalists were known to be around when the Magi fell and even got their hands on some of their relics at the time

<DeathStar> <Asarar> If you all are going do another geek spot, I'll join with Cypher and hit up the Aquarius to try do patrols around the Legion.

<DeathStar> *Kalam uses her spirit keys to unlock information to bring them into the archives, where a guard eyes who she is, then the visitors with them*

<DeathStar> *Fae noms on it as Kalam leads them into the massive library, dating back as far back as the Spiritalist have existed, having even combined their books with the Monk portion now*

<DeathStar> *she stops in front of one large shelf that rises to the ceiling - it seems to be notes on 4000-5000, with thousands of books*

<DeathStar> <Celes> Well, the fall of the Magi was 4745.
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Then that is our reference point."

<DeathStar> <Kalam> While you can glance through the journal physically, you'll likely find them by the diaries of which ever spiritalist wrote it. Here, touch the shelf and think of the type of material you want, key phrases, and pump spirit energy into it. The journals with them should glow
<DeathStar> <Kalam> Or just tell the spirits to do it
<Alicia> <Ceilidh> "Do we know which spiritualists know the most about what happened?"
<DeathStar> <Kalam> Most would be dead. ... Outside myself
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Ahhhh... I think she emans whose journals might prove most insightful."
<DeathStar> <Kalam> I know. And even I no longer really remember names and people anymore
<DeathStar> <Kalam> But. ... Let me see
<DeathStar> *She touches the shelf*

<Ariel> <Nicolette> "Magi... legion... war... familiars. Heh... I wonder if War-familiars is a term it could recognize."
<DeathStar> *She slowly removes her hand and books near Ceilidh begin to glow - surprisingly, only 6 do*

<Alicia> * Ceilidh pulls them out, and starts reading one
<Jackieness> <Lana> *starts reading as well*
<DeathStar> <Kalam> The reason the books do this is that the books are imprinted with traces of spirit energy. I am not sure if the Magi library does something similiar
<DeathStar> *Ceiidh would find most of the diary is by a rookie summoni that talks about most of his time doing stuff; 3/4ths of the diary is monsense, but toward the middleish end, he touches base on hearing about the Legion destroying the Magi and going to investigate it and discovering it to be true. He spent a few days going through the destroyed village, locating some relics to bring to save from destruction and even finding a few hurt people, and wondering how the Legion could be so evil, and bringing a Familiar back*
<DeathStar> *Lana's has a bit more information, their diary talks about how the summoni tried to talk the Legion out of their folley, and was with them most of the time until they were called back when it looked like war was inevitable, then the sneak attack occured. They went back later to see if they could do anything but nothing remained and they spent a good year recovering stuff*
<DeathStar> *Celes flips and sets one down*
<DeathStar> *Cloe also dismisses one*
<Jackieness> <Lana> "I wonder if a catalog of the recovered items might be here."
<DeathStar> <Kalam> We still have that yes, despite returning the items.
<DeathStar> *she steps away for the moment*
<Alicia> * Ceilidh wonders who the Familiar brought back was
<DeathStar> *Celes reaches for one of the last two books*
<DeathStar> <Celes> Hm, this is interesting.
<DeathStar> *she shows it to Lana*
<Jackieness> lana *takes a look* "Ahhhh?"
<DeathStar> *The cover shows the diary belongs to Kalam - Book 42*
<Jackieness> <Lana> *looks back to where Kalam disappeared to* "...everyone seems to have secrets."
<DeathStar> *Celes opens* ... hm. It looks like she's not much of a log keeper at this point. There's whole months with nothing noted.
<DeathStar> *Celes flips through the book* And when she does, it terse and to the point
<Jackieness> <Lana> "I wonder if she has another journal with more detail."
<DeathStar> <Celes> Okay, here we go. "I've been assigned to keep an eye on the Magi. The issues can spill out to us if the Legion grows too bold."
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Ahhhh... does it say why there was a war to begin with?"
<DeathStar> <Celes> "I've instilled myself among the Magi to see what is happening at the ground level"
<Jackieness> <Lana> *leans in to listen*
<Seraphna> Terra> Terra Ground expert!
<DeathStar> <Celes> "Many are afraid of the Legion and why they are so wrathful suddenly. They are wondering if they are angry due to the Magi's growing influence among the courts of the world, such as the Hapians; but I've heard rumors the Amazons are the ones who have instilled their wrath. Will send this information to see if it is true. Destroy one's enemy with another?"
<DeathStar> <Celes> "The Magi are in a panick, even with all their influence among the other Kingdoms, and are beginning dark experiments among their higher magis. I've seen some of it in their basements, turning familiars into weapons. Will send report if I can. Reports of Legion growing closer"
<DeathStar> <Celes> "Reports that the Legion may be here any day, before the other Kingdoms can intervene and the Familiar Weapon can be used. Some in the Magi are going to try to open a rip into the Spirit Realm to escape and send their knowledge and their children. Time for me to go. Sightings of the Legion."
<Alicia> * Ceilidh tries to find information on the recovered familiar, just to see if there's any more information on that
<Jackieness> <Lana> "So the Legion was the aggressor, possibly manipulated by the Amazon kingdome, somehow... so the Magi got desperate and started doing research that they had not previously considered."
<DeathStar> <Celes> And the next entry is her back home
<DeathStar> *Ceilidh would not find more on the familiar in that one diary*
<DeathStar> *Kalam steps back in with the list of relics*
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Ahhh... the catalog." *turns her attention back to Kalam*

<Alicia> <Ceilidh> "Ah, I think I've got everything I can from this book."
<DeathStar> <Kalam> Did you find what you were looking for or did you want to do another search? *she asks Ceilidh*
<Alicia> <Ceilidh> "Without a name, there are no more leads from this, I'll have to go with the others' books."
<DeathStar> *Lana would find amont the relics, tons of Magical items, some very powerful, like mirrors, magical tuning wands, creation kits, a few hurt familiars, tons of tomes, etc*
<DeathStar> *Sylph and Fae have flown up on top of the shelf*

<Jackieness> <Lana> "Here is a list of hurt famamilars that were brought back."
<DeathStar> *Kalam muses* I imagine quite a few were found in the weeks after. Since we didn't specialize in magic, if they were able to be saved, they were sent to the Magi that survived in the courts, or if that failed

<DeathStar> <Kalam> Else typically a familiar died.

<DeathStar> *The list list their features as blue hair dog familiar, blue hair cat familiar, blue hair dragon familiar, white hair cat familiar, blue hair cat familiar*

<DeathStar> <Celes> White hair is rare and a stronger familiar. Hence Delgi and Bonnie being rarer

<DeathStar> <Kalam> Well. The magi that went to the spirit realm and came back; the ones you had the run in
<Alicia> <Ceilidh> "I'd assume it's somewhere between, but it might not work that way."
<DeathStar> <Kalam> I know most of them have reincorporated into the school, but if they did take information with them or held information with them
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Either it was at the present day Magi enclave, or left behind at the Spirit realm enclave."
<Ariel> <Nicolette> "so... probably a normal familiar that was had it's power enhanced?"
<DeathStar> <Cloé> I thought maybe it was mother due to her scent being there
<DeathStar> <Cloé> But ... if she and this other familiar went through the same process...

<Jackieness> <Lana> "The familiar machine is....ahhh... like mass production. All of the familiars that come out form a given template would be almost identical."

<Alicia> <Ceilidh> "The idea of mass producing living beings seems... wrong to me."

<Jackieness> <Lana> "Ahhhhh...I think it is how I re-framed the conversation with my phrasing."

<DeathStar> <Gwen> Well, my question is - if the Amazons did cause the Magi/Legion War, should they be held accountable, or should we like, drop it since someone like Qui is in charge now? ... should we even bring it up, since it could make Qui upset? *he winces at the idea* She'd hate to learn that
<Alicia> <Ceilidh> "We shouldn't hide the truth, but whether the current leaders are at all responsible is a different thing."
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Well, individuality evolves from life experience. Just because a familiar starts identical to both the preceding and the next does not mean that is who they will always be."
<Jackieness> <Lana> "The question is... if it was the Amazons, then why?"

<DeathStar> <Gwen> There was a period, back even before the Magi were wiped out, when the Legion and the Amazon were much more warrior like and they had a series of wars
<DeathStar> <Gwen> They were always fighting and the Amazons were fiercely man hating and the Legion were about you know, expanding and they were more pro-man then
<DeathStar> <Gwen> They were destined to clash. They always reached a draw. And so after that, the Amazons decided to be trickier most likely and drew the Legion toward the Magi - another male dominant group
<DeathStar> <Gwen> Modern Amazons and Legion, even before Qui, had dropped the fighting but if you recall, they were ready to kill each other once again if not for the Spirits
<DeathStar> <Gwen> Their hate ran deep
<Jackieness> <Lana> *nod nods*
<Ariel> <Nicolette> "Makes sense."
<DeathStar> <Celes> So. Should we head for realm or the Magi, or meet up at the Aquarius and do scans?

<Jackieness> <Lana> "I would like to go to the Magi first. Then Relam if that doesn't turn up anything."

<DeathStar> <Cypher> I do wonder if there is still some sort of link between them. Bonnie has shown no sign of weakening.
<Jackieness> <Airym> "That would only work if the familiar were indeed Bonnie."

<DeathStar> <Asarar> That's is true. If it's the other then that plan would bust
<Sara> <Chelsea> Yeah...
<DeathStar> *Mireille and Melodie move over to the pod and Mireille enters, with Melodie enhancing*
<DeathStar> <Mireille comms> I am enhancing my scans to try to pick up any sort of environmental change...
<DeathStar> <Mireille comms> ... .... I might have something. ... No I definitely have something. *she seems unsure of something though at the same time*

<DeathStar> <Mireille> That is a trail of drained mana headed through Legion territory. It is not overly damaging enough to kill the environment, just withering some plants and tiring life around the area.

<Sara> * Chelsea breathes
<DeathStar> <Cypher> It'll be okay, *She hugs her close while Asarar muses*
<Jackieness> <Airym> "Continue."
<DeathStar> <Mireille> There is a faint mana drain that is barely traceable, doing barely anything to the environment. I only noticed it thanks to the boost from Melodie. It is moving parallel to the other
<DeathStar> <Mireille> As if stalking
<DeathStar> *she brings both on the map*
<DeathStar> *it seems to be cutting through Legion territory, slowly working it's way toward the center*
<Jackieness> <Airym> "Plot a possible convergence point."
<DeathStar> <Yuki> Well. This should be interesting
<DeathStar> *Yuki turns to Erica*
<DeathStar> <Yuki> No way two familiars can drain the Aquarius, right?
<Sara> * Erica is in thought but nods.
<Sara> <Erica> I doubt it, anyway.
<Sara> <Erica> It wouldn't be the first time something that unplausible happened though.
<DeathStar> <Yuki> Since we're mostly spirit based I would have to agree.
<DeathStar> <Yuki> But I'll keep us ready with back ups just incase
<Jackieness> <Airym> "The Aquarius' systems are spirit-based, not mana."
<DeathStar> <Yuki> Yeah and we're dealing with a proto-type Familiar
<DeathStar> <Yuki> I don't want us caught with our pants down and find out it eats spirit energ
<Jackieness> <Airym> "Contact the team on the ground and update them on our findings. We now have an ability to track the famailiars as long as they are absorbing mana from the environment."
<DeathStar> *Asarar does so* If it's eating mana, it shouldn't at least
<DeathStar> <Asarar> If it went to consume spirit energy afterward, that would make it...explosive
<Jackieness> <Airym> "Unless combininf spirit energy with the mana that it has consumed is a trigger condition."
<Alicia> <Sparkling> "Do all proto-type familiars drain mana like that...?"

<Jackieness> <Airym> "We can assume that at least two do."

<DeathStar> <Delgi> So what brings you back? *Delgi runs her hand through her white hair as the cat familiar seems on edge; the power still acting up a bit in the school as the Magi are pouring mana into restoring things*
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Ahhhh... we had some questions about the Spirit Realm Magi..."
<DeathStar> <Delgi> Ah, certainly. *she walks toward where they are* As you know we took in those that were young or those that were repentative. After being in the realm for so long, many just wanted out of there
<DeathStar> <Delgi> We learned from them that the realm is quite extensive and they had landed themselves in a place quite far from where the spirits usually were at and due to the fog being in place at the time, they had no idea where the exit was located
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Well... we found some information from the time period about familiars and the war with the LEgion, but there are still gaps. We were hoping some of those who joined you here might have brought materials and documents from the war period that could help."
<DeathStar> *Delgi nods* Lets see. *She heads down to a massive library for all students, compared to underground*

<DeathStar> *Delgi leads them to stack of tomes brought from the Magi* These books are the ones you want. *The top book seems to be a tome on increasing magic power, the second is book on Dark Arts, the third Blood Magic Rituals, the fourth is Familiar Creation, the fifth is the History of the Magi Order, the sixth is a diary it looks like, the seventh is a tome on Cooking and the eigth is Experiments*
<DeathStar> <Delgi> So far these books just haven't been properly catalogued into the books down here and placed with a magic seal. Whoever stole the history books had enough power to break the seal and tracker on it
