<DeathStar> *Alouette leans backwards, glancing from her bench - the paper seems to be sign up sheet for students interested in summer activites hosted by the Academy. As long as they have a parents or guardians' approval*

<Alicia> * Yoiyami checks it over too, casually as always
<Seraphna> **Anyata muses** Are we supposed to ask Angela and Zephyr?
<DeathStar> *the activites seem to include events ranging from going to the beach, exploring places, canoing, visiting the Nymphs, camping out, etc*

<Alicia> <Yoiyami> "I'm not usually one for physical activities, but those seem fun. Mostly the exploration and beach."

<DeathStar> *Zayne and Shin sit off to the side, watching all the commotion; despite being in a student outfit, Shin just snorts at the idea of going on summer activities*

<Alicia> <Yoiyami> "Thinking about it, I probably shouldn't dismiss the cat quite yet... but going just by instinct, I don't think we'd get along much. She seems too close to Talia."

The ship is planning to travel further into this Borderland territory. The data gathered will be being send back here to the Academy. I was uncertain if you wanted to join or have the data transferred to you so you could study it here

<Seraphna> Alt> It’s a thing to figure out murders! Like pictures of the culprit and news articles about stuff that makes no sense till the end!

<Alicia> <Yoiyami> "It's just mystery novels."
<DeathStar> <Gwen> Speaking of students, do you plan to get her to enroll, Nicolette?
<MobileAri> <Nicolette> *tilts her head* "Get who to enroll?"
<DeathStar> <Gwen> Zayne. You nudged Shin there, so I was wondering if you planned to do the same to Zayne since all she does is wander the place.
<Seraphna> Alt> Zayne could be Alt’s precious student friend?
<MobileAri> <Nicolette> "Zayne's really my senior, so getting her to enroll..." She ponders, "But... it might be good for her, especially when she hasn't found herself a new direction for herself."

<Seraphna> Nox> Anticipate the jiggle. Let the Rack flow through you.
<Jackieness> <Bella> "Its dessert. How is it even evading?"
<DeathStar> <Ben> The plan is to navigate in a straight line toward Sol through these worlds. However, from what little we know from Haven, these worlds we'll encounter from this point on are considered dangerous
<DeathStar> <Yuki> The question is how much exploration do we want to do on the way
<Seraphna> Nell> Jello is a devious target.
<Jackieness> <Airym> "While our mission is one of exploration, it should not come with any unnecessary risk to the crew."
<Seraphna> Cookie> Seems unavoidable with those mega spirits out there.
<DeathStar> *Ben leans back* The problem is we don't know what sort of threat we're going to encounter unless we investigate. It's a circular problem
<DeathStar> <Ben> Ah yes, the High Spirits. The group indiciated that there is a child like Time Spirit on the move, having slaughtered all the Cleaners. I find a slight problem with that
<Jackieness> <Airym> "Please continue, Ben."
<DeathStar> <Ben> If their side has a time spirit, why haven't they done into the past to slaugher us all? Or gone into the future to see the outcome of all of this?
<DeathStar> <Ben> With the cleaners did, they could move through time freely I would think. They could be waiting to ambush at any point in time now
<Seraphna> Cookie> One thing, why is it every time we meet new spirits they tend to be jerks while ours are basically kittens?
<DeathStar> <Ben> Perhaps it was how ours were born
<DeathStar> <Ben> But we also don't know the full story of these spirits
<Seraphna> Cookie> A real nature vs nurture story.
<Jackieness> <Airym> "Our spirits are documented as natural spirits while other spirits are created in some way."
<DeathStar> *Yuki drums her fingers where Erica usually sits*
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "It is definitely not just that."
<Seraphna> Cookie> Yeah, we have a 50/50 result on created spirits.
<Jackieness> <Airym> "We do not know the means by which other spirits were created, so our frame of reference is incomplete."
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "There is a lot we do not know."
<DeathStar> <Yuki> Since Erica is busy with other projects at this time, I'll assume her duties as co-captain. *she takes Erica's seat* I've been doing it a lot lately anyway. You want me to take us out or do you want to do it, Airym?

<DeathStar> *the Aquarius having a tiny spraypainted symbol on part of it's lower end*
<DeathStar> *Ben sends Cookie the jump coordinates for the first jump*

<Jackieness> <Airym> "Engage."
<Seraphna> **Cookie engages the drive and warps them** Wheeee!

<DeathStar> *The ship passes by a world; scans coming up on the monitors indicating the world is nearly half dead. It's spirit and mana energy half depleted which has led to the planet straining to survive. The results can be seen with the naked eye as the deserts have begun to encroach all over this world. And this has been the case on quite a few worlds they have passed so far*
<DeathStar> <Cloe> These worlds are depressing. Each is getting worse. <Yuki> Indeed.
<Jackieness> <Airym> "The High Spirits appear to consume as much as they can before moving on, leaving their victim worlds essentially crippled."
<DeathStar> *Ben studies the balance of the world as Celes is sending the data back*
<DeathStar> <Celes> It's hard to believe spirits are doing this
<Seraphna> Cookie> Our spirits live off the spirit energy our world makes, these ones act more like… locusts.
<DeathStar> *Yuki thinks* Could it be possible ours could start doing it too if they ever got strong enough?
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "I certainly hope not."
<Jackieness> <Airym> "We do not have sufficient data to make that determination."
<DeathStar> <Mireille> *looks up from her comfy chair* I am detecting ships from one of the worlds
<Seraphna> Cookie> I doubt it, at least the latest generation. Spirits like Nox aren’t fuly dependent on Spirit Energy.
<DeathStar> *Cloe squints at the view screen and what looks to beaten down ships are approaching their's; they all look lik clunker ships*
<Alicia> <Akatsuki> "Let's hail."
<Jackieness> <Airym> "Raise defense fields, no weapons. Open hailing frequencies."
<Seraphna> Nox> Hailing, hey there~!
<DeathStar> <Ben> They don't seem to be repsonding. *He notes as they get closer. The ships, as they get closer, fire a strange beam at the shields*
<DeathStar> *which no damage seems to be occurring*
<Seraphna> Nox> Well that’s just rude.
<Jackieness> <Airym> "Ben, status of shields."
<DeathStar> <Yuki> It would appear they are trying to drain it into their own ship.
<DeathStar> *Ben
<Seraphna> Cookie> I kinda feel bad at the idea of firing back if they’re that needy.
<DeathStar> <Mireille> They want my energy. Naughty
<Seraphna> Nox> Yeah that belongs to my girl.
<DeathStar> <Yuki> The problem is what happens if they take everything including Mireille.
<Jackieness> <Airym> "Helm, plot a course out of this system and wait for my order. Comms, warn them against continuing with their draining beam."
<Seraphna> Cookie> Yeah, send them a warning I guess?
<Seraphna> Nox> **sends them a carefully worded warning**
<Seraphna> **Cookie starts withdrawing them**
<DeathStar> *They continue to chase them while draining, like a mosquito*
<DeathStar> <Ben> They've managed to drop us by 10%
<Alicia> <Akatsuki> "I mean, they have been warned..."
<Jackieness> <Airym> "Get us out of here and record this in our logs."
<DeathStar> <Celes> Let us hope we are never in a situation where we have to bother strangers like this
<DeathStar> *Mireille prepares the jump engines for Cookie*
<Seraphna> **Cookie boosts them to get out of range**
<DeathStar> <Yuki> I'll make sure to take note of this particular region of space and those ships
<DeathStar> <Yuki> Hopefully we won't encounter that tech again
<DeathStar> *As they get away, Ben brings up the map; it looks like Sol is still far away*
<Jackieness> <Airym> "Prepare to jump to the next waypoint."
<DeathStar> <Yuki> As we keep going deeper, is each of the worlds going to be in worse shape?
<DeathStar> <Yuki> I just find it hard to believe a group of spirits could do that much damage
<Seraphna> Cookie> Given hundreds of years… thousands even…
<Seraphna> **Cookie sets up the jump**
<DeathStar> *the Aquarius jumps ahead*
<Jackieness> <Airym> "We are not certain how many there are or exactly how long rhey have been active."
<DeathStar> <Ben> It would be nice if we could encounter one of these High Spirits
<Seraphna> Cookie> If a stream can wear down a mountain over time the smallest spirit can become one.
<Seraphna> Cookie> It would?
<DeathStar> <Ben> The information would be invaluable
<DeathStar> <Cloe> Bella
<DeathStar> <Cloe> Ben is scary
<Seraphna> Cookie> Didn’t they try to take our spirit and kill immortal time beings?
<DeathStar> *Ben leans back* They certainly killed the Cleaners. And there is a possibility at some point in the future Avenir and this time spirit will collide and Avenir will lose
<Jackieness> <Bella> "...he does outrank us, Cloe."
<DeathStar> <Ben> Hence why encountering one now would do us good
<Jackieness> <Airym> "Ben, can you formulate a contingency in the event that we encounter one of these beings?"
<DeathStar> *Ben muses* I can try. The problem is that our only real spirit is Nox
<DeathStar> <Ben> Mireille isn't a fighter
<Seraphna> Nox> Hey! What’s that mean?
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "It means she is not the fighting type."
<Alicia> <Akatsuki> "There's no shame in that."
<DeathStar> *Mireille rubs head*
<Jackieness> <Airym> "Both of them are potentially in danger."
<Seraphna> Nox> Oh, you meant I’m the only one with punching power.
<DeathStar> *Ben looks at her oddly*
<DeathStar> <Ben> Now I am dubious about you even facing one
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "Still, the term 'real spirit' was unfair."
<DeathStar> <Ben> Well, Mireille should keep her entire focus on the ship in an encounter
<DeathStar> <Ben> Her strength in a fight is using the Aquarius
<DeathStar> <Ben> For example. And I am not saying this scenario were to come up
<DeathStar> <Ben> If the rest of the crew encounters a High Spirit on a planet, Mireille could navigate the Aquarius to aid you in a fight
<Seraphna> Nox> And I kinda doubt I could take one either.
<DeathStar> <Ben> Personally we should try to get data not into a brawl. If we encounter one
<Seraphna> Nox> From what you all say they’re all more powerful than my Grandma.
<DeathStar> <Ben> Our highest priority should be scanning
<Jackieness> <Airym> "That is what is believed."
<DeathStar> <Ben> Even if it means hiding; if that fails stalling; and if that fails run and scan
<Seraphna> Nox> I have Kitsune and Dark One powers but those are still pretty mortal level.
<DeathStar> <Yuki> I wish there was a way to train the crew to deal with spirits

<Jackieness> <Airym> "Even spiritualists would be hard pressed against these entities."
<Seraphna> Nox> You have some Spirit fighters on this ship.

<DeathStar> *the summer group has been told to arrive in their bathing suits under their normal clothing. Zayne is deadpanned right now along with Shin, while Melodie and Aimee are teasing Sparkling by just wearing the swimsuit. The team seems to be at the Nymph grotto*
<DeathStar> *The nymphs looking fascinated by all the students; some shy and hiding*
<DeathStar> *Shion is there today due to the state of dress of the Nymphs and it likely killing Gwen*
<Alicia> * Yoiyami sighs disappointedly at this
<DeathStar> *a nymph stares at Yoi, tilting her head left, then right*

<Seraphna> **Talia hops down and shows off her swimsuit in human form** Hey girls!
<DeathStar> *Ren looks over the grotto; purple trees hang all over the place and it is shaded all over the place; some trees have multi color like the nymphs scales*
<DeathStar> <Nymphs> Hello Talia~ *they sing in chorus, all of them having pitch perfect singing voices, almost like sirens*
<MobileAri> * Nicolette has accompanied the group, though it doesn't seem like she has any intent on going in the water. She's dressed in the short sleeve, short skirt, version of the academy uniform, and has brought a massive tome for reading.
<Alicia> <Yoiyami> "I guess we see if Talia has room in her brain for anything but fish and breasts."
<DeathStar> *Zayne looks at Yoiyami, for brief moment a sneer appears on her face before it vanishes*

The green dragon being the most docile and having no special abilty really, but easiest to catch. The red being a fire breathing dragon expert; the yellow able to exert control over electricity. Blue being a frost type dragon. And black dragons being the largest and meanest of them all and are the hardest to tame. The chart shows pictures of each of their sizes with the black one dwarfing the others*

<DeathStar> <Ymir> One thing we have learned is that it has a something akin to the Aquarius - spirit tech and mana tech in it. Meaning the ship needs both to effectively run, but judging by the state of it, they are not in great shape on either

<DeathStar> *The Visage Speaker bows a few times and begins to walk foward; they seem to split up, each of them assiging themselves to each of the team; Nicolette getting the speaker, and Sparkling getting a few of the random ones following around her. Leading out of the hanger, they would see the state of the ship is not in great shape. The hallways look dim and areas of the ship seem to be closed off to conserve power as they are led toward what appears to be a massive indoor area to grow food is located, where strange plants akin to potatos are being grown. A large number of Visage, young and old, are tending to the food.*

Areas here are in even worse shape, the strange advanced spirit/mage tech working together is so old and offline, it looks like it hasn't been run in hundreds of years or longer. Sections of the engines seem to be in complete darkness and the Visage have retreated to consoles that can still function. It seems as they walk around minimal spirit energy remains and no mana reserves are left*

<DeathStar> <Speaker> Yes. The stronger they apparantly became, protecting many worlds, the more power they took from the worlds. Our world, I am told, relied the tech you see on this ship to survive. When they began to consume it and the power in the ship, I do not know if it was willful or their hunger had gotten bad. It is just what was passed down by my family.
<DeathStar> *Selena thinks on that*
<DeathStar> <Speaker> The ship then tried to find other worlds, but each time they suffered the same fate. The spirits I am told were not evil - they continued to protect. They even... *she cuts off* Well, when a world became unsustanble, many worlds fled like we did to new ones. I am not sure if they are still there, as we are the only ones to come this far

<DeathStar> *it seems the technology at one point was advanced at using combined elements of spirit and mana without risk of one shutting the other down or worse blowing it up. Now there's no signs of how it worked with it being in such rotten shape and barely any of each*

<DeathStar> *Gwen follows and looks over it; it seems to be well built, even the two seem to be building it all over the place and don't seem to have the knowledge of the correct way of building stuff. It definitely has spirit energy in it and there's equipment standing by. No sign of engines or the like or important stuff*

<DeathStar> *Gwen stands up and pulls his sword out. Qui does the same, the two twins standing by each other. Shinobu takes a deep breath, hey eyes glowing goldenish and Rain seems to be remaining calm for now*

<DeathStar> *Kalam focuses on that when there's a thud and dragging sound from the back; at that moment a dart flies at Amber's neck*
<DeathStar> *the entrance begins to be overrun by the monsters, who try to stab Sasha with a spear*
<Seraphna> **Amber breathes and shifts in the same breath, a wing batting at the dart as she raises her staff**
<Jackieness> <Sasha> *casts her fire line trap at the attackers, detonating it*
<DeathStar> *they go flying, burning*
<DeathStar> *more begin to pour in from the back*
<Seraphna> Amber> **glows with a strange light and sends draining vines out at the ones coming in the back**
<DeathStar> *Gwen and Qui attack at them, while Shinobu and Rain focus on the ones attacking the side of the tent to break in*
<Jackieness> <Sasha> *grabs up a weapon and channels an elemental effect through it*
<Seraphna> **Kaelan actually looks shocked a moment and hisses, but sends holy and dark blasts into the ones coming at them**
<DeathStar> *as they down the first wave, the second wave launches their spears at the girls*
<Seraphna> **Amber forms a god energy shield to protect them and starts chanting a spell**
<Seraphna> **Kaelan has Truth brace the barrier despite a dirty look in her eyes**

<DeathStar> *Kalam brings in a black dragon to cut down the approaching enemy when a barrell comes rolling in at them*

<Seraphna> **Alt checks her Dad while Amber keeps looking around, shifting closer to Qui to defend her, seeing the barrel she holds out a hand and sends a wave of force at it to send it back**

<Seraphna> **Alita chants and creates a wind spell to disperse the smoke or shift it back out at the horde**
