<DeathStar> *Selena has brought a ton of reading material from the Royal Library and has books sprawled out along the tables at the castle, bringing in Kalam to join them due to the various unusual events going on lately. Prismatic and Solar flip through the history books, learning about the world, while Qui, Kalam, and Shinobu look into the various stuff on the magic gems and what left behind. On the table, Selena has set down a clear gem that seems to be the Hapian version of the Eternal Flame, flipping through books to try to find a name for it* <Selena> From what I can tell, even if it does have magical properties, it is just listed as a Hapian Jewel.
<DeathStar> <Selena> I was somewhat hoping if they were once tied to Geyze they could be useful in helping with the spirit situation

<DeathStar> <Soren> Mother went over almost everything to do with her job before turning it over to me. *She looks over the jewel* She didn't seem to be overly worried about this except to say it could be considered a heart gem.
<MobileAri> <Nicolette> "Hmm... I wonder if it's connected to her pact with the Hapian royal family."
<DeathStar> <Selena> It is possible. Lana had the theory that the Keepers chose the land because there might be more to it than we originally thought.
<DeathStar> *Prismatic glances up* I would say your world is extremely unusual. Your world is rich in mana, and it took to spirit energy very easily as well.
<MobileAri> <Nicolette> "Yeah, and that's before we even get to the spirit realm here."
<DeathStar> <Prismatic> You have a realm for spirits here? Really?
<MobileAri> <Nicolette> "Oh, yeah. It's sorta like... a parallel plane, but it connects in physical spaces as well. Or, well... it did, until recently."
<DeathStar> <Prismatic> I have never in all my journeys, even on other worlds that have spirit energy, one that had a spirit realm.

<DeathStar> *Selena studies the Heart Gem, then the Eternal Flame* It would be nice if the spirit realm was still there, but if we lack the means to get there, it will do little for us

You make it sound like the world was put into that equalibrium intentionally. But to be honest, you've barely scratched the surface of the unique features of our world."

<MobileAri> <Nicolette> "Well... we know that the keepers were having trouble seeding spirits onto other worlds. It wouldn't be much of a stretch that they specifically picked this world because of it's traits, or even caused them themselves."
<DeathStar> <Selena> I could believe that. *she nods* Basically - according to Prismatic, no other world she's encountered, there has never been another spirit realm among them
<DeathStar> <Selena> And second, according to her, spirit and magic on a world she have led to more outrageous climate among the world, not a perfect world like ours had
<MobileAri> <Nicolette> "It'd always been a strong theory that the spirit world itself was artificial. It's constructions certainly predated the spirits."
<Jackieness> <Lana> *adjusts her glasses* "...well...the Visager's technology blended the two, and it showed an odd corrosion effect on their systems. I saw similar corrosion in the energy transfer spires during the black magic incident. I chalked it up to the balance between mana and spirit energy being disrupted by the actions of the black magi."

<MobileAri> <Nicolette> "Oh, um. Alternate timeline."
<DeathStar> *Selena thinks* I know Aska, Shade, and Void retreated to the Spirit Realm to observe, but did they ever outright say they MADE it?
<Jackieness> <Lana> "I don't think so...the place was a bit of a mystery..."
<DeathStar> <Selena> Then we have to believe the Keepers likely made it to help the three as well as Origin to grow safe, store the cores and everything else they would need then.
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Maybe. Admittedly, we lack data points to support or dismiss that theory."
<DeathStar> <Selena> Problem is if it is a spirit filled sanctuary and spirit energy was stolen, is the entire location destroyed, or inside Mother

<MobileAri> <Nicolette> "I doubt it's destroyed. More likely, it doesn't exist, but the information of it still exists in the universe."
<Jackieness> <Lana> "I wonder if it had any sort of relation to the Spirit Mother's actual world."
<DeathStar> <Prismatic> Your world is ... quite the unique one. I hope we can restore it. Spirit and Magic in harmony, a realm where spirits can live. ... and it is my fault.
<DeathStar> <Selena> If the Keepers based the Spirit Realm of the Homeworld of the Spirit Mother, that might explain something

<Jackieness> <Lana> "Ahhh...the issue with tiem loops like that is asking ourselves how the loop started."
<MobileAri> <Nicolette> "That was definitely my theory, when I went to her world. And Prism, don't beat yourself up over it. You weren't yourself any more, after everything that happened."
<Jackieness> <Lana> *raises a hand and weaves a data record of the previous condition of Earth before the reality mergers happened* "Someone changed reality so that this was no longer the past."
<DeathStar> *Qui and Shinobu arrive, tiptoeing in at the talk; Shinobu sets down a black gem nexto the Eternal Flame and the white Heart Gem, and Qui a Blue Gem.*
<DeathStar> <Qui> You all talked to the Cleaners. Do you have an idea who did it?
<MobileAri> <Nicolette> "The big reality change? I... haven't even been thinking about it. I'm getting old. One crisis at a time please."
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Not who did so originally. They were clever enough to set 'program' the infected version of Prismatic to maintain the loop though."
<MobileAri> <Nicolette> "So, wait... we had been stuck in a loop? You never mentioned that before."

<DeathStar> <Selena> I thought we broke time
<Jackieness> <Lana> "What we found was that a version of Prismatic, or 'Host' rather, was going back in time and introducing the hunger infection. Presumably this is how the status quo was maintained despite verdant's efforts."

<DeathStar> <Selena> But Verdant and Avenir shattered time at that poitn
<Jackieness> <Lana> "And the loop was finally broken."
<MobileAri> <Nicolette> "I... was under the impression that Verdant was the one spirit that she didn't have a link to."
<MobileAri> <Nicolette> "And she only made it back in time because she hitched a ride with the ship."
<DeathStar> <Selena> Well, it might not be the case now
<DeathStar> <Selena> But I think due to our actions we had two Verdants for a moment
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Time paradoxes are hard to rationalize."
<DeathStar> <Selena> The Verdant that came with us after time broke. *then motions at Prismatic* Then the one that was with them in the new timeline

<Jackieness> <Lana> "either way, it makes it hard to figure out how things too shape the way that they did."

<DeathStar> <Prismatic> But l am vaguely recalling stuff from this timeline. Just like Solar and your's pact has survived, I think this timebreak has left .... like a ghost of things that happened. I am trying to recall why

<DeathStar> *Selena plays with the gem* I am trying to decide if this might be a good thing or a bad thing.
<MobileAri> * Nicolette ponders something, and pulls out her comm to text a contact on the Maka homeworld, to check on how things are there. "Didn't your lab reports say there was residual essence from the spirit mother, linking them together?"

<DeathStar> *Nicolette after a bit would get in touch with an overly friendly Maka*
<Jackieness> <Lana> "This reality is like... like a revised computer program was copied on to a data storage on top of its original copy, with bits of old data still stuck between the binary 1s and 0s."
<MobileAri> * Nicolette inquires about the state of things with the Maka, since they basically run on spirit energy, provided by different entities.
<DeathStar> <Maka> We're ... okay here. No one has come to attack us our try to steal our magic.
<MobileAri> <Nicolette> "Hmm... I guess we need to look into the similarities between the Spirit mother, and the Tsukai, at some point."
<DeathStar> <Soren> If the Tsukai become a problem on top of all this. *she shakes her head*
<DeathStar> <Selena> Speaking of other problems, Lana
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Ahhhhh?"
<MobileAri> <Nicolette> "Oh, I don't think they will. Just... well, the Maka still have their powers, despite running on the same form of energy. So this seems to be a source issue."
<DeathStar> *she pushes the colored Gems over to her* When you have time, I'd like you to look at these. They are the same as the Eternal Flame. Kalam is looking into the others but here are the ones that we have on hand. Maybe they can be of help in saving our spirits
<DeathStar> <Prismatic> I have see a Maka or two back in my region of space.
<MobileAri> <Nicolette> "Not surprised. Major fascination with Earth."
<DeathStar> <Solar> From what I understand, their magic is unusual. To say the least. Much like the anime they tout, willpower has a lot to do with what they can manage
<DeathStar> <Solar> I've seen weak Maka and overly powerful ones
<MobileAri> <Nicolette> "Mmhmm. I wasn't a slouch, and one of my friends punched a moon into orbit once. Actually, I think it was literally the Earth's moon."

<Jackieness> <Lana> *nod nods* "I'll use my lab ehre at teh castle."
<MobileAri> <Nicolette> "Oh... this was back when we were still in another universe."

<DeathStar> <Selena> We're nearing the overhaul of the Aquarius; do you have any ideas on spirits we should see if we can bring back? We have the other Sylph, Prismatic and Solar. We have all the children here. Speaking of
<MobileAri> <Nicolette> "Yeah, I can't even imagine moon punching as a thing. That seems like it should never work. But... well, Sparkling pulled it off."
<DeathStar> <Selena> Since none of the kids have powers, I believe we should leave them back on Geyze, but I was wondering if we should still bring Avenir

<DeathStar> <Selena> I am thinking defensive so Mother doesn't immediately destroy us.

<Jackieness> <Lana> *pushes up her glasses* "I do recall some commentary about overreliance on the spirits, though such arguments tended to fall to the wayside."

<Jackieness> <Lana> "And an examination. We never looked at the efefcts on pacted individuals before, specially those with a generational pact."

<DeathStar> <Qui> I have a suggestion - I think everyone should head to my Kingdom and use our healing waters. It's something akin to a hotsprings, but will restore your energy. Especially if you plan to go to the enemy's world soon. You all have been running from one place to another non-stop for weeks now

<Jackieness> <Lana> "You just need to sit ere and hold still. The equipment in this lab isn't quite as upto-date as my main lab at the Academy, so I am going to be modding it on the fly with my magic."
<DeathStar> *Selena sits down* Long as don't have to dress in a weird gown
<MobileAri> <Nicolette> "Right now, I don't know. I'm trying to figure out what to do, so I can figure out how to do it."
<DeathStar> <Solar> I want to get a look at over the entire planet. <Prismatic> I'd like to try to see if this realm exists still
<Jackieness> <Lana> "This is just a scan, not surgery."

<Jackieness> <Lana> *moves some equipment into position and then uses her weave magic to tweak the scans*
<MobileAri> <Nicolette> "The entire planet? Like... in a person, or at a distance?"
<DeathStar> <Solar> I am my strongest near a star's light so in space
<MobileAri> <Nicolette> "That's totally fine. Can you make it up on your own, or should I requisition a shuttle to take you up?"
<DeathStar> *the readings begin to show that with her spirit half, which indicates that Selena was a bit like a half-spirit, ripped out, Selena's body is having trouble adjusting to being "normal" - and is low in many areas with it her spirit energy gone. Which means the other spirit children are likely suffering a bit too unless it is due to how the Hapian lineage is made into spirits*

<MobileAri> <Nicolette> *smiles* "Good with my feet on the ground right now. Prismatic is wondering about the spirit realm, so I'll show her to where one of the enterances was."
<Jackieness> <Lana> Ahhhh...interesting. Your physiology more strongly resembles the half-spirit children than a baseline human."

<DeathStar> <Selena> Well. I'm sure when I was born, I leaned more human
<DeathStar> <Selena> But since becoming queen, it's like a switch was flipped
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Well, I imagine that you are undergoing the same sort of....ahhh...'withdrawal' that the spirit children are likey also experiencing...they are just a bit firther along than you are."
<MobileAri> <Nicolette> "So, we don't actually have to go far, because with how the castle is, the closest enterance is basically down the hall."
<DeathStar> <Selena> I think, personally, every Hapian female has that switch. I debated seeing if I could switch it for Aunt Sasha too. Momma Liana has it a bit being married to Momma Celes. *glances at Lana* If they are feeling this crappy, they are showing it yet thankfully

<DeathStar> <Prismatic> Interesting. *she walks along the hallways, studying the castle* I wondered why it was designed so strangely
<Jackieness> <Lana> "I'd need to get one of them in my lab to be sure, though."
<MobileAri> <Nicolette> "You'd have to talk to the architects for a real answer, but the castle was designed so it straddled our world and the spirit world."
<DeathStar> *She drags Soren here, who looks flustered, wanting to jerk her wings but lacks them*

<DeathStar> *Prism puts her hand on the door and closes her eyes*

<DeathStar> *Soren's scans come back - she comes back as full human, her spirit half completely gone right now. It is like when Mother yanked her spirit energy out, she assured at least her human side took over*

<DeathStar> <Prismatic> A void - even if we jumped in, it would be like we were in nothingness. But I feel at the same time there is something in there in this void, but it would be reckless to travel through it to see what it is. But there is nothing spirit left I think ... no, I take it back. There is something

<DeathStar> <Selena> It's probably due to how the Hapian family line becomes a part spirit
<DeathStar> <Selena> Instead of just being born into it; or maybe the Mother took pity with the children when yanking their spirit half out.

<Jackieness> <Lana> "She may have removed their spirit nature all at once, while you are losing it slowly due to not encoputnering her directly."
<DeathStar> <Selena> That may make more sense
<DeathStar> <Prismatic> Since it would be nothingness, we'd need a suit to travel that area. ... If your theory is right and it was based on the Homeworld of the Mother. It would be interesting if there is a way to return there from her world if we need to escape

<Jackieness> <Lana> "Since the nature of spirit energy is to find equilibrium, its flowing out of you to fill the void left in Geyze."
<MobileAri> <Nicolette> "That would be handy, but I'm not sure we'll have a way to go there safely, without fixing things with the mother first. And then we wouldn't need to."
<DeathStar> *Solar reappears beside Nicolette* Someone has been watching this castle and looks shady
<DeathStar> *Selena leaves the gems with Lana* I'll go tell Nico. Soren - help Lana as a helper

<Jackieness> <Lana> "Alright, now we need to do some science on these stones."

<Jackieness> <Lana> *sets the stones out and starts setting thigns up*

<DeathStar> *the Eternal Flame is a red stone, Heart stone is pure white, the black gem, and blue gem; each in kingdoms of their matching spirit element; so far only the Eternal Flame gem is known to actually have powers to control the Legion's volcano*
<DeathStar> *Selena arrives upstairs with Nicolette*
<DeathStar> <Prismatic> Do you know how to fly?
<Jackieness> <Lana> *starts scanning them woth tech and magic*
<Alicia> <Ceilidh> "...sortof..."

<Alicia> <Ceilidh> "Knowing the method doesn't let me do it, though."
<Alicia> <Ceilidh> "Even if I had wings, I'm not strong enough to keep myself aloft."
<DeathStar> *the scans begin to come back - each of the stones indeed have odd magic properties to them, but not in the way one would think. Eternal Flame has fire magic, but it seems to be a different type than normal, almost a sort of creation type/primodial type. It isn't useful to take the gem and unleash flame magic with it, but it seems to be a powerful type that powers up what is already there - fires burning, fire sources, fire magic users. The same with the others - blue - water, white and black - they seem to be a type of holy and dark type.*

<DeathStar> *a dot/person can indeed be seen up there. It looks a bit like a fox person maybe. One would need a telescope to see better*
<Jackieness> <Lana> "This is a more primal mana, tied more closely to he natual forces of the world."
<DeathStar> <Soren> And what does that mean? Is it deadlier like those rune stones.

<DeathStar> *floating in the sky is what appears to be Ren, but her yellow eyes are glowing and her aura seems to be off, arms crossed as she is staring at them*

<Jackieness> <Lana> "Modern magi can 'conjure' fire from seeming nothingness by changing mana to fire. Basically the law of conservation of energy. These gems don't work that way. Instead, they can alter an existing fire. Light a match, and it can melt a steel door."
<Alicia> <Ceilidh> "That looks like Ren... but I doubt she could've ;earnt levitation in this short an amount of time, and no wings for physical flight..."
<DeathStar> <Soren> These things are uh, dangerous

<DeathStar> <Selena> I haven't heard of any fox that could fly yet

<Jackieness> <Lana> "...for some reason, these stones have becoem important again. We need to learn why."
