<@DeathStar> *judging by the land near her, the area seems to have been forgotten - infact, a village nearby looks to have been abandoned*
<@DeathStar> *Zayne steps up, wearing a traveler's cloak - hood up. Selena and Lavenza slowly step off the boat and onto the muddy shore while Zayne sort of hovers off the boat and avoids it by cheating.*

<@DeathStar> *by now, most people who have even a little talent in magic can feel an strange amount of mana being used to supress something up ahead. And this is being said in an area already rich in mana*

<@DeathStar> *As Selena cautiously leads them forward, the road becomes a bit less of a road, due to the fact that people have stopped traveling this way and have begun to find alternate routes around this area. Infact, one can see where a "new" path around has started to become the offical road, but that would lead them away the strange mana source Lavenza seems so interested in.*

<@DeathStar> <Selena> I'm taking us there, don't worry. *She slowly is creeping them forward toward it*
<@DeathStar> *other oddities slowly begin to start pop up - mana slowly is becoming even densier and stronger. Zayne seems to debate something, holding out her hand, then thinks twice about it; and that is when one can see it. In the air up ahead, black particles seem to be floating in the air. At first, it appears to be as if the mana itself is visible to the naked eye, like a vein of mana from the planet is exposed, and perhaps it might be, but this is something more. Something that makes Lavenza stop in her tracks and Zayne halt*

<@Seraphna> Alt> Feels like an exposed leyline.
<@DeathStar> <Selena> Would an exposed leyline produce black particles in the air?

<@Seraphna> Alt> Maybe corrupted mana?
<@DeathStar> <Zayne> Whatever it is, it is likely the source of the plague. If it is tied into the leyline, it could be the reason it is spread so far
<@DeathStar> <Zayne> I'm shocked we haven't had complications on our part of the world
<@Seraphna> Alt> Mana can’t be out flowing like this without burning off.
<@DeathStar> <Selena> Well we have a problem either way
<@DeathStar> <Selena> It's blocking our way but if we try toget through it we might risk ourselves to the plague.

<@DeathStar> <Zayne> If it's coming out from the ground itself, I'm not positive that will work
<@DeathStar> <Zayne> Plus this could go on for miles
<@Ariel> <Nicolette> "They talked about the mana blight being pretty wide spread."
<@DeathStar> <Fae> I could try wind magic to try to blow it away from us. But...
<@DeathStar> <Zayne> *studies Terra, lifting up her arm*
<@DeathStar> <Zayne> If Fae is willing to use her wind magic, I can assist. And if Terra can make rock armor to try to keep the poison out, I can attempt to do the same.

<@DeathStar> *Fae begins to use her wind to try to move the black particles; at first, the particles seem resist to the wind spirit's wind, as if they are resistant to the magic itself*
<@DeathStar> *but slowly they begin to shift aside; Fae clearly straining to clear a path. Zayne steps in to help and soon it appears to be clear. Azif looks dubious though, and reaches out to hold Alt in place*

<@DeathStar> *Fae slowly takes the lead and heads forward, with Zayne following her. Lavenza soon follows them and Selena coming along as well*

<@DeathStar> *as they get through the area, Lavenza looks a little tired like she went through a marathon, but no signs of the infection appears on her skin like the storekeeper described. She seems to be catching her breath*
<@DeathStar> *up ahead, a strange structure seems to have been built, clearly designed with magic - barrier upon barrier has been laid out on top of something, to prevent people from approaching, and it's clear whoever built it was an expert in magic. Looking through the barrier is hard, but it appears someone built what looks to be a simple structure, that is crumbling now due to age, and the barrier itself seems to be tapped into the magical leylines of the area*

<@DeathStar> *Lavenza thinks* Lavenza not sure what is hidden here. Just know that it would take a lot of magic to break barrier.

<@DeathStar> <Selena> We are nearing the capital of this Kingdom, but something tells me coming right out and asking about this barrier might not be the wisest course

<@DeathStar> <Selena> We have a few choice - we can continue on feet toward the capital of Grebolrg. We're not that far off. We can get in touch with Shin or someone to tell Lana and have her or Ceilidh pilot the boat to catch up to us. Or we can return back to the boat ourselves, though that will be longer and we'd have to travel back through the danger zone.

<@DeathStar> <Zayne> An awful lot of magic being used to seal something they found
<@DeathStar> *Selena begins to lead them away, deciding to press forward; as they continue, the group would see more of the floating dark corrupted like mana all over the place. It is almost like it is leaking and spreading along the leylines as was suggested, and with how much mana this place is using to create the barrier, the leyline is running rampant across the land*

<@Ariel> <Nicolette> "If it's this bad out here, I can't imagine what it's like inside the barrier."
<@DeathStar> *The ground around the areas where the poison is thick, there is two oddities - the ground, while not dead, seems to be growing more wildlly, as if the wild life is sucking in the corrupted mana, if it is that, and becoming more corrupted itself. A strange plant spits something in Terra's direction*
<@Seraphna> **Terra brings up a rock barrier**
<@DeathStar> *The rock dissolves, the acid eating away the mana of it. Thankfully, the team soon begins to enter an area clear of the poison and the wild life and is back on well traveled roads with other people, falling in line behind a merchant caravan - up ahead the capital can be seen, a crashed flying city it appears, as well as structures built around it, such as massive walls and what appears to be a port. The children riding on the back of the cart watch the group curiously*
<@DeathStar> *the line to get into the capital seems to stretch on for a good long while. Azif pulls Alt, having caught up to the group by taking the other road*

<@DeathStar> *Lana can see what looks to be footage talking about the Knight Order being called in to handle the mounting political tensions between the countries over the Creation Engine. One of the reports begins to go into the leader of the Knights, going over their record of handling such incidents and how they have over many years handled many crisises dealing with Kingdom quabbles, monster uprisings, and has been at the forefront of handling the crisis from space. An image of Gavin can seen all this, a dark haired man in armor, looking almost Warren like in his stare*
<Jackieness> <Lana> "So this Gavin was the chief mediator of Ancient Geyze, with his order of magic knights basically keeping the countries from going to war. Again, a mention os a threat from space."

<Jackieness> <Lana> "Well... there are a couple options... one that is was a threat from Kumen. Two, they perceived the Keepers as a threat. Three, it was something else."

<Jackieness> <Lana> "As for the MAgic Emperor... they said the emperor's armor appeared to be that of gavin. As for whether it actually is Gavin... we need data points. Is it Gavin, still alive through some unknown means? Is ti someone else who found his armor?"
<@DeathStar> <Verdant> Well, it seems the armor can be passed down - we've seen it with the floating city and Gwen has taken some person's armor. According to what I learned, there were 12 Knights.
<Jackieness> <Lana> "That's another thought... not Gavin but adescendant who had been in hiding."
<@DeathStar> <Verdant> We know the Knight of Varia, the floating City, is named Lynette. We know Gwen is one of the new 12 as well.
<Jackieness> <Lana> "But Lynette does not seem connected to the Magic Emperor...at leats not obviously."
<@DeathStar> <Verdant> Well, we don't know much about any of the Knights now

<Jackieness> <Lana> "Right... we are missing alot fo data points." *looks at the second orb* "...if they are following the rules of the original order...why are they attacking us?"
<@DeathStar> <Verdant> From what I understand, each Kingdom had one Knight, even before the fall. This would indicate there was at least 11-12 Kingdoms.
<Jackieness> <Lana> "We know about the three that remain on this continent."
<@DeathStar> *The orb seems to be taken from a point where the reports are discussing the Knights gathering, a day before the fall. The group supposedly meeting up not in the normal place Crimore due to this all being about the Creation Machine, but choosing to instead meet elsewhere and then head to Crimore to discuss everything with their leaders. They seem to have opted to meet on a Kingdom's name that has not popped up yet - Xohan.*

<@DeathStar> <Verdant> Either they were destroyed, or they might have been one of the Kingdoms on your side of the world. If they were close to Crimore, they might have been the Kingdom close to the Keepers that sank under the water.
<Jackieness> <Lana> "As go on... I suspect at leats one of the kingdoms ended up udnerground, and that is where the Magic Emperor is operating out from."

<@DeathStar> <Verdant> She described a world under the surface that matched up to a lot of what I saw
<@DeathStar> <Verdant> The odd part is that it couldn't have been Crimore, which is where Gavin was from

<@DeathStar> *She brings up the map of Geyze* Crimore was out in the sea area, a floating continent . Seeing as the only thing really left of it in today's Geyze is some islands, the day of the fall, we have to assume it was destroyed - either by it's own hand, or another Kingdom. The destruction of a massive continent in the sky then brough about massive change to Geyze
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Since it likely fell into the sea, it would have raised sea level Geyze-wide, while also generating tsunamis."
<@DeathStar> <Verdant> Likely you're dealing with one of the Kingdoms that was here in the main land Geyze on our side. The earthquakes and everything else likely swallowed up a lot of the kingdoms

<@DeathStar> <Gwen> I been coming across the name quite a few times in my journey, yeah. If you mean has the Magic Emperor ever used it in my dealings with him, no
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Gavin was the leader of the Magic Knights, with a single knight representing each of a dozen kingdoms. From what we have learned, the Magic Emperor's armor was Gavin's armor."
<@DeathStar> <Gwen> That is true. The Magic Emperor name wasn't one actually chosen by the dude, from what I understand. It was something that came about due to the monsters and the villagers under him. From what little I could grasp, it was given to him by them due to his insane magic capabilities and their hope of his restoring the land to the way it was. He usually addresses himself as a Knight

<Jackieness> <Lana> "Ok... now this quesiton. There are three remnant civilizations on this conintent. How did they survive when their counterparts on our side of Geyze were wiped out?"

<Jackieness> <Lana> *blinks and then stands to follow* "Its one of the pieces that seems to not fit in the puzzle."
<@DeathStar> <Gwen> Well, lets start with Varia, that floating city you were at. A lot of the Kingdoms had floating cities just like them
<Jackieness> <Lana> "From what we've learned, Gavin's homeland of Crimore was a full floating continent."
<@DeathStar> <Gwen> Varia was a Kingdom into itself - it was on the smaller size, but it had a few more floating cities. And yes, Crimore was the biggest of them. Picture Hapian
<@DeathStar> <Gwen> Varia it is told had warning ahead of time that the attack on Crimore was going to occur and put all it's magic into the city shields. Instead of moving to help or do anything, it protected itself.

<Jackieness> <Lana> "So crimore was the primary tatrget, ebcause oif the Creation Machine?"

The day leading up to it Grebolrg was threatening to use their Tower to do it, but there was also another threat to both planets everyone was worried about. But when someone strikes, it is hard to tell who does it first. It could have been another Kingdom from Kumen.

<@DeathStar> <Gwen> That brings us to Grebolrg - they had their own Magic Tower that could blow up Geyze, as you know. And they were threatening Crimore over the Creation Machine. The Knights were being called in to deal with the two
<@DeathStar> <Gwen> Grebolrg is a powerful magic war nation - it could have survived by firing first
<Seraphna> Talia> Everyone blowing each other up, why anyone wanna bring that back?
<Jackieness> <Lana> "I think ther eis more to it than that... Crimore being dropped into the sea would have caused global devastation."
<@DeathStar> <Gwen> And the Gradians - well, you'll see when you go to their Kingdom, they lost a lot in the attack but some figure helped them get on their feet with Monsters. Before monsters really should have been a thing.

<@DeathStar> *As the group gets closer and closer to the massive gates, one can feel the mana in the air. Powerful mana canons can be seen on the gates - they look like mini versions of the tower, all along the wall. But what really stands out, towering over the wall, is a Magic Tower. It seem to be position so that it can fire over the wall and hit a target. At that gates themselves, people are presenting their IDs to be allowed in, drivign their carts inside to do business. Burly guards stand there - and while they are not Magic Knights, it is clear they are wearing magic bracelets to give them more strength*

<@DeathStar> *Selena presents their paperwork and the guards wave them through the gates - inside the gates, the floating city of Grebolrg seems to have crashed long ago, but even so it appears to be bustling on the ground, plus it is three times the size of Varia who is still in the sky. It looks to be designed around the Magic Tower, with citizens moving around the streets and magic seems to still be working - various screens are showing the news on screens like this was Earth, and people are on the sides of the street using magic to perform street arts like Nicolette might do. Magic powers lights and other stuff. Military patrols the street in armor and keeps the peace and in the distance, a massive military like castle can be seen, over looking everyone*
