<@DeathStar> *arriving in the bar at night, the lights are turned off and everything seems dark around the academy due to the time of night outside a few buildings still having their lights on like some student dorms in the distance and Shion's headmistress temple. Asarar moves through Luci's bar slowly to peer out the window across the campus*
<@DeathStar> *Celine navigates through the dark being a wolfbeast, her eyes glowing. Ymir also seems to comfortably navigate thanks to her fauna nature*

<@DeathStar> *Asarar navigates them across the way to their pyramid and opens everything up - all their stuff still located when they were using it a few years ago. Ymir eyeing her at that* <Asarar> So, Celine, what all are we going to be needing exactly. *She fiddles with an object quietly*
<@DeathStar> <Celine> Well, it depends on how many people we want to bring in on this - if we go to the Magi Tower it should be easier to do this do the number of Magi available. But, the more skilled Magi I have on hand, the quicker and easier I can excise her from whatever spell was cast on Kumen that has entangled Ymir as part of it

<@DeathStar> *underneath the Macross HQ, Bella's team would find a giant cavern area that spans a few miles. It seems it was meant to be closed off around Macross' territory so no one could enter, but the team finds signs that a large tunnel has been made*

<Jackieness> <Bella> "Keep your eyes open. Someone has drilled down here."
<@DeathStar> *Cloe seems to be thoughtful down in the cavern* It feels strange down here
<@DeathStar> *she is currently piloting her mech suit*
<Jackieness> <Bella> "Like 'mana' strange?"
<@DeathStar> <Cloe> Maybe once - it feels like there might have had mana in here once. But it feels like it is gone. Or mostly gone maybe? *she touches the ground with her suit's hand, running along the ground toward the tunnel*

<@DeathStar> <Cloe> Ylva must have gone down this tunnel though
<Jackieness> <Bella> "That just feeds into the mana problenms planet-wide."
<@DeathStar> *Cloe begins to walk down the tunnel, looking mostly dejected - her armor shining a light ahead for everyone*
<Jackieness> <Bella> "what's wrong?"
<@DeathStar> <Cloe> Worried about momma. Which makes me worried about Cherie. Don't see her much these days either.
<Jackieness> <Bella> "Yeah...not even sure how your mom got tagged."

<@Seraphna> Minty> We’ll set it right.
<@DeathStar> *as they walk along the tunnel, it suddenly breaks off - continuing ahead but another path jerks off another direction. As Cloe shines the light both ways, as if trying to decide what to do, Officer Jiasco comes from the new branch off path*

<@DeathStar> *Jisaco shines his light straight ahead* Keep going the way you were. That's heading toward Space Corps.
<@DeathStar> <Jisaco> If you see any more tunnel breaks off other than straight ahead, they'll be leading to another quadrant.
<Jackieness> <Bella> *nods* "If we find anything of interest, we'll ping you later."

<@DeathStar> *Jiasco nods; he seems to be headed off to get something, heading back toward Macross*
<@DeathStar> *Cloe charges ahead, bouncing forward*

<@DeathStar> *sure enough, as they head forward, tunnels break off to the right occassionally*
<@Seraphna> **Minty follows along, flying behind them a bit off the floor**
<@DeathStar> *but as they keep going forward, they arrive before what looks like a special vault door. Ylva seems to be in front of it, examining the door*
<@Seraphna> Minty> Luci says come home.
<@DeathStar> <Ylva> Huh? *she looks up, having been trying to get readings*
<@Seraphna> Minty> Ymir has been recovered
<@DeathStar> <Ylva> Seriously? That's great. *she eyes the door* I been trying to open this thing. You know what this thing is?
<@Seraphna> Minty> I would say a door. Possibly to where all the remaining Mana is being kept.
<Jackieness> <Bella> "A vault door under Space Corps."
<@DeathStar> <Ylva> Both are correct. This door is designed to maintain mana.
<@DeathStar> *Ylva motions at the tunnels* What do you think these tunnels are
<@Seraphna> Minty> Dried up leylines?

<@DeathStar> <Ylva> Well, I suppose you could consider them man made now

<@DeathStar> *Ylva shoves the scanner into her pocket and hops over them* My theory is that these tunnels are where the mana is being transferred. But that is crazy even as I say it. It would literally mean Kumen has so much mana down here that it's in raw energy form sloshing about and it's running through these tunnels and someone has made a system to open doors and shut them. I'm betting if we went to each of these tunnel ends we'd find a door

<@DeathStar> *Cloe presses against the door quietly*

<@DeathStar> <Cloe> If it is in there, Cloe can't feel it. It is sealed away
<@DeathStar> <Ylva> I would hope Ymir would resist building something like that

<@DeathStar> *Ylva clicks tongue* Well as much as I'd like to keep exploring these tunnels for where the mana source is at now, being in these tunnels is highly dangerous for all of us except for Cloe

<@Seraphna> Minty> Yes let’s. We should be there as back up in case the corps try something stupid.
<@DeathStar> *As they go to turn back, a noise back down the way they came can be heard - Cloe squints in the darkness and shines her armor light down the tunnel*

<@DeathStar> <Ylva> Unless it's Jiasco, I have encountered nothing living in these tunnels. As well as no sounds
<@Seraphna> **Minty muses and nods, forming a pair of blasters** Keep a look out then.

<@DeathStar> <Shion> I'm not fully in the loop, but from what I understand
<@DeathStar> <Shion> You know how in the past a Demon King or Queen would essentially rise up and rule all the Demons. But now all the Demons are following the Magic Emperor. Well, 4 Demon Kings and Queens have risen up and are acting as Generals. The and they're spreading the armor out to attack certain parts of the kingdoms. One is Hapian, the other is the Demon Realm, and the other is, and one is going for the Legion and the Amazons

<@DeathStar> *as they step forward, they come face to face with what appears to be a masked Cypher again. Standing there in the tunnels and holding a strange gun like weapon*
<Jackieness> <Bella> *moves into a ready stance*
<@DeathStar> *Cloe makes a low growl like sound as Cypher reaches behind her and pulls out what looks to be a flying device - the device zooms toward them and begins unleash an zap from a distance, meant to immobilze people and devices. The zap hitting Cloe's armor device and powering it off*
<@Seraphna> **Misty muses, then attempts to wrench the weapon from her hand with TK**
<@DeathStar> *Cypher holds onto it, but comes flying along with it toward Misty. She calmly reaches into her coat as she does and throws black orbs that begin to bounce around the tunnel toward her and Bella*
<Jackieness> <Bella> *turns, flinging a throwing blade at the flying device*
<@DeathStar> *The device falls over, sparking*
<@DeathStar> *Cloe begins pulling herself out of her armor*
<Jackieness> <Bella> *turns in place and darts forward, trying to evade the orbs with gymnnast-type moves*
<@DeathStar> *Cypher lets go of the gun finally and lands in front of Bella; the orbs begin to spew acid all over the place*
<@Seraphna> **Minty doubles around and takes several shot with her rifle**
<Jackieness> <Bella> *moves immediately into a quick set of jabs to try to off-balance Cypher*
<@DeathStar> *Cypher holds up her arms as the shots collide and she dashes in at Bella and blades emerge and she counters by leaning back and then slashing in return*
<Jackieness> <Bella> *tries dodging the slashign blades and then tries to coutner with a mix of punches and kicks*
<@Seraphna> **Minty meanwhile tries to freeze up Cypher’s body with a TK hold**
<@DeathStar> *Cypher uses her arms to parry the attacks, then another blade emerges from her and stabs right at Bella's chest when she's frozen from completing the stab. Cypher pushes against it, then seems to do someting - her body glowing as she slowly begins to break the TK*
<@DeathStar> *Cloe meanwhile has not moved a lot since the bouncing acid balls, having been hunched over since freeing herself for most of this. She finally begins to stir, pieces of her mana suit smokng and more*
<Jackieness> <Bella> *tries to deflect the blade from going through her with a plam strike to the side of the blade*
<@DeathStar> *Cypher is smacked to the side and she uses it to roll on the ground, gaining control of her body*
<@Seraphna> **Minty pile drives herself into Cyoher as she comes out of the roll as if expecting her to be exactly there**
<@DeathStar> *Cypher grunts*
<@DeathStar> *Cypher reaches back to grab at Minty's hair and yanks*I
<Jackieness> <Bella> *moves in, trying to disable one of cypher's legs with a targetted kick to the knee*
<@DeathStar> *Cloe slides up toward Minty, hunched as she manifests a massve crystal spike to drive into her hand*
<@Seraphna> **Minty flares her personal shield and twists her form so Cypher is instead holding her arm, her other coming in to slam into it, a break attempt**
<@DeathStar> *Effectively smashing it to bits*
<@DeathStar> <Cypher> .... *is taken down by the knee and falls, then rolls, away from them all*
<@DeathStar> *she seems to be weighing her options with her good hand*
<@Seraphna> **Minty tries TK slamming her head downwards**
<Jackieness> <Bella> *immediately tries to follow up, flash-stepping toward Cypher to try to take out the other leg*
<@DeathStar> *Cypher slams into the ground as they combo her. As she lays there, Cypher shifts her good hand into her coat*
<Jackieness> <Bella> *twists and tries slamming her foot down on Cypher's remainign arm*
<@Seraphna> **Minty tries yanking it away and back**
<@Seraphna> Minty> None of that surprise nonsense.
<@DeathStar> *Cypher drops what looks like a device - but for some reason, she doesn't seem surprised by their tactics*
<@Seraphna> **Minty frowns and tk slams her up for the ceiling while backing away**
<@DeathStar> *Cypher grunts*
<Jackieness> <Bella> *looks down at the device*
<@DeathStar> *Cloe studies them all, squinting with her good eye, as it looks like some of her face got hit by the acid like her suit; she leans in to look as well. The device looks like it's already been counting down without Cypher even hitting a button. The timer looks to be at 15 seconds and going down fast*
<@DeathStar> *it appears to be some sort of stop watch ttype thing*
<@DeathStar> *with a signal on it to be sent somewhere*
<@Seraphna> **Minty frowns** Got a way to stop that?
<@DeathStar> <Cloe> do we want to hit it?

<@DeathStar> *a second later, the gun Cypher tossed away at the beginning of the fight shoots a flare down the tunnel*
<@DeathStar> *then shoots more*
<Jackieness> <Bella> "Bundle ehr up, and let's move. Backup may be inbound."
<@Seraphna> **Minty sighs and baps her along the ceiling as she starts moving, like a balloon**
<@DeathStar> *Cloe weakly starts moving along, dragging her armor along, Cypher doesn't seem to be awake as she is dragged along*
<@DeathStar> <Ylva> .... *is quiet as she follows, but then pauses - in the distance a sound like a roar can be heard coming down the tunnel*
<@Seraphna> Minty> Might have to come back for that Cloe.
<@DeathStar> <Cloe> Cloe refuse
<@Seraphna> **Minty floats her up too and starts running**
<Jackieness> <Bella> *moves to help Cloe with the armor* "Come on!"
<@DeathStar> *the team ebgins to run, but up ahead, back the way Macross is, they would see coming at them is a wall of mana in liquid form, coming right at them. Ylva jerks* <Ylva> but....But there was none back home. Where the hell did it come from
<Jackieness> <Bella> "they must have opened one of the gates!"
<@DeathStar> *Cypher opens her eyes and cligns to the ceiling, stabbing into it*
<@Seraphna> **Minty pulls them all to the ceiling and creates a psionic shield**
<@DeathStar> *under them a river of mana flows*
<Jackieness> <Bella> "Aunt Cypher, your new job really sucks."
<@DeathStar> *making the air feel heavier*
<@DeathStar> *Cypher turns, her mask barely functioning at this point so she tosses it off into the mana river*
<@DeathStar> <Ylva> We can't last much longer in here
<@Seraphna> Misty> Tell me they just programmed you and I don’t need to overcome a spell.

<@DeathStar> *Cypher, almost in response, begins to crawl toward them, using her good hand to shuffle toward them*
<@Seraphna> **Misty turns into a large lizard with sticky hands**
<@DeathStar> *Ylva studies the armor the team dragged up with them*
<@DeathStar> <Ylva> Give me just a moment and we'll see if we can't dig our way up

<@DeathStar> *Cloe hangs on as best she can* <Cloe> .... If we knock her off she'll die. <Ylva> Probably. *She works on wiring the armor*
<@DeathStar> *Cypher reaches into her coat to and pulls out a tiny little gun and aims it at Misty*
<Jackieness> <Bella> *reaches to grab a throwing knife and then flings it toward Cypher's hand*
<@DeathStar> *the knife sinks into the hand*
<@Seraphna> **Misty sighs** Seriously? Wake the fuck up.
<@DeathStar> <Ylva> Alright, we're going up
<@DeathStar> *The armor begins to dig upward*
<@DeathStar> *the group emerges out on the slums of Star Corps*
<Jackieness> <Bella> *moves to try to grapple Cypher as soon as they are out*
<@DeathStar> *Cypher it looks like has not yet followed them up onto the surface*
<@DeathStar> *probably knowing Bella or Misty would do just that*
<Jackieness> <Bella> "She's still down there."
<@Seraphna> **Misty tries using a relative pull with TK to drag her up**
<@DeathStar> <Ylva> If she stays down there too long the mana will be fatal
<@DeathStar> *Misty would not feel Cypher around - it seems as if the NetRunner has left them alone for real this time*
<@Seraphna> Misty> I think she net jumped.

<Jackieness> <Bella> *looks around* "...we're in Star Corps territory. We need to get off the street."

<@Seraphna> **Misty changes form into a random NPC and Carrie’s Cloe along**

<@DeathStar> <Ymir> Those gates are pretty powerful. Ylva's scans indicate they're magically enforced
<@DeathStar> <Ymir> If we want to destroy them we'll need something on a powerful magic scale

<@Seraphna> Luci> That might be the downside. They eat up potential mana for the spell. You can’t infinitely stretch mana as a resource.
<@DeathStar> <Ymir> That might be doable. It'll take a bit more work, but it might be doable. Depends on how big the gates are.

<@DeathStar> <Asarar> Well, I was going to ask you all if you wanted to continue pursing the Ancient Gears, or shift our focus to dealing with the Corporations and the mana here.

<@DeathStar> <Ymir> The Ancient Gears, while they can grow into monsterous sized, were also designed to be a bit like Cloe's personal sized armor. They were designed to be multi-functional magical armor. Based on my research, they were meant to be designed for a strike team to destroy the Creation Machine and as well as the Observer
<@DeathStar> <Ymir> There were seven of them as well as the Ship that helped power them.
<@DeathStar> <Ymir> And each of them had different magic properties. The armor was based on somethign called the Knights and were meant to go toe-toe with them

<@DeathStar> <Ymir> That's the thing, there's not a lot of information on it. It was something the notes said the Observer was always watching them and changing things.
<@DeathStar> <Ymir> It sounded like the researcher was going mad

<@DeathStar> <Ymir> Sadly, the Corporations have 4 of the Armors at this point. <Asarar> Amber has one of them. *she notes* That means 2 are missing.

<@DeathStar> *Ymir thinks* I don't know. Typically they mass produce that kind of thing
<@DeathStar> <Ymir> Often the number 7 is seen as lucky
<@DeathStar> <Ymir> A kind of magical number
<@DeathStar> <Ymir> But my research noted that there were 12 Knights, so I did find it odd they made less Armors.
