<@DeathStar> *following the battle the day before, clean up around the capital has begun with the battle as a meeting has been called now that the armies of the Monster Lords seem to have withdrawn, the meeting place being chosen - the castle. Outside the castle clean up is occurring while Sasha's generals go over the reports of what the last few days cost them. Floating outside the balcony is the Draíocht*
<@DeathStar> *Lumi leans back in her seat, eyeing all the reports her Peacemakers have gathered as well*
<Jackieness> <Sasha> *sits at the head of the table, wearing her royal armor as she did during the battle, though its been cleaned up by now*
<@DeathStar> *while Qui seems to be on the quiet side, Shinobu is leaned back, golden eyes observing everyone. Leafy seems to be well - the monsters having not had time to reach her thanks to the barrier slowing them down and the focus being mainly on the magi and summoni*
<@Seraphna> **Alita sits tiredly, having done all she could to heal and bring back fallen Amazons**
<@DeathStar> *Rain seems somewhat distracted, sitting beside Sasha*
<@DeathStar> <Lumi> I'm still trying to draw in what reports that I can
<@DeathStar> <Lumi> But I think I have an idea of what happened
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Then speak."
<@DeathStar> <Lumi> As you may have noticed, the Naturalist Leader River is not present in the meeting
<@DeathStar> <Qui> Let me guess, he betrayed us or something? *She says somewhat snarky*
<@DeathStar> *Melodie and Aimee sit at the table, slowly moving army pieces about the map like toys*
<Jackieness> <Sasha> *holds up a hand* "Do you have any intelligence as to why the Naturalists are withdrawn?"
<@DeathStar> <Lumi> Not exactly. The Magic Emperor attacked them single handedly while all his forces were fighting us
<@DeathStar> <Lumi> His goal was to take the creation piece that was protecting them. It was what was keeping the monsters out of the kingdom.
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "They probably have not engaged with the alliance because they are keepign all of their assets for their home defense."
<Alicia> <Sparkling> "I do understand it."
<@DeathStar> <Lumi> Well, either way, what Peacemakers I had stationed there report that the Naturalist capital was last seem aflame. They will get back to me if there were any survivors
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "If we cna spare any assistance, then we will do so, though we have been pressed. Perhaps that might convince them to return to the fold."
<@Seraphna> Alita> The Magic Emperor must not have a lot of internal knowledge if they thought we needed to be distracted. We haven’t had any communication with the Naturalists and he likely could have taken it without this effort.
<@DeathStar> <Qui> Well we have been regularly checking ourselves.
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Once he claimed his prize, he called off his multi-prong assault."
<@DeathStar> <Qui> Unless he has some other way to activate his magic switch with people, it might not be able to spy as easily
<@Seraphna> Alita> Just in time for some of us. I may have overestimated my abilities taking on Tiamat alone.
<@DeathStar> <Kito> It seems odd not to just finish wiping us out, isn't it?
<@Seraphna> Nell> Did we figure out who put a switch on my wife?
<@DeathStar> <Kito> Then no one would be in the way of doing his evil plans
<Alicia> <Sparkling> "Maybe they're just keeping us busy?"
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "That tells me he has another agenda than just destruction."
<@DeathStar> *Lumi glances at Kito, eyeing her over*
<@Seraphna> Amber> There’s a cost behind controlling his monsters. Might not be willing to pay enough to wipe us out.
<@DeathStar> <Lumi> Well, we glanced both people you named when everyone got back to the castle that night
<@DeathStar> <Lumi> We found nothing on them
<@DeathStar> *glanced over
<@Seraphna> Nell> So we still have a mole on the loose.
<@DeathStar> <Lumi> You really think someone would start working for the magic emperor and be putting those things on them?
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Maybe, maybe not. We do not know how they initially plant these things on their targets."
<@Seraphna> Nell> It had to get there somehow.
<@DeathStar> <Melodie> Maybe.... I have a theory
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Let's hear it."
<@DeathStar> <Melodie> Who were the two people who were suspected again? Kito and the Headmistress?
<@Seraphna> Nell> Yeah, they both had physical contact with her before the launch.
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "The problem is that the circuit could have been planted on her far earlier than that."
<@DeathStar> <Melodie> I believe we could all agree neither seems like they would be bad guys, so either could had had something on them. A new type that might have made them suspectible to doing something odd. But the question is where was it when they were searched by Lumi that night
<@DeathStar> <Melodie> Either we believe they're baddies, or more like they had something on them
<@Seraphna> Nell> Could those switch devices transfer to others like… spider bots or something?
<@DeathStar> <Qui> Spider-bots? Ugh.
<@DeathStar> <Lumi> I think I have some we got off people.
<@DeathStar> <Lumi> We'll see if we can't study them
<@Seraphna> Nell> Finding a way to disable or counter them could be useful.
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Bring in Academy support. Magi suppport. Anyone you have available."
<@DeathStar> <Kito> And if they're all gone because they spider-botted away?
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Just being able to detect them would be a boon."
<@DeathStar> <Lumi> Speaking of the magi
<@Seraphna> Nell> Then we need to try and grab new samples if it comes up again.
<@DeathStar> *She motions at Sparkling*
<@DeathStar> <Celine> We need to find a way to reverse what was done to the Magi and the Summoni. *she speaks up*
<@DeathStar> <Celine> So many of them are stone now, which leaves them vulnerable to being destroyed
<@Seraphna> Amber> Yeah we have a bit too many new lawn ornaments.
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "What happened to this stone creature?"
<@DeathStar> <Celine> It escaped. All the Monster Lords escaped except the one that Shinobu fought it seems
<Alicia> <Sparkling> "How did it happen?"
<@Seraphna> Amber> Vanished like the other Lords just before we could kill it.
<@DeathStar> *She eyes side eyes her. Shinobu merely leans back, playing with her wine glass*
<@Seraphna> Alita> I feel better that I trusted my wife to take care of herself.
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "I suspect that slaying it would free its victims."
<Alicia> <Sparkling> "I meant the turning to stone."
<@DeathStar> <Celine> We were facing a Beholder Lord, Sparkling
<@DeathStar> <Celine> It's gaze was quite powerful
<@Seraphna> Nell> If only we had Soft or Ambrosias.
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Celine, is there a way to safely move the victims to a safe location?"
<@DeathStar> <Celine> We can use magic to attempt to transport them to the Tower, but it should be done with the utmost care
<@DeathStar> *Qui leans forward* Sooner or later if we do want to recover Kalam and the others, we will have to travel underground to find the Lords and the Emperor. But that also means stepping into the monster's nest
<@Seraphna> Alita> Perhaps with study I can devise a way to cure it.
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "I recommend the underchambers of the Spire. They survived the Legion attack centuries ago, they should be safe for now."
<@Seraphna> Alita> This is a curse or magical enchantment I think, and anything can be cured with the right spell.
<@DeathStar> <Qui> If he has enough monsters to launch an attack against all the Kingdoms, going down there will be hel
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "And yes, we cannot sit back forever waiting for the next action by our enemy. We need to re-taker the initiative."
<@DeathStar> <Shinobu> I agree, but going into the underground without the right amount of preparations would be a disaster. I am not sure we have enough force to breach it
<@DeathStar> *Celine seems to be thinking of what all they need for the stoned people, and begins to write up what they might need in a notebook*
<@DeathStar> *passing notes to Alita*
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "You are correct. Its possible that the forces launched against the surface were merely a fraction of their full forces."
<@DeathStar> <Aimee> Why not make an expedition? And try to chart how far one can go? <Celine> There are likely rare stuff underground that could help as well. Lumi? Do you have any groups that could go?
<@DeathStar> <Lumi> The only team I'd send right now is busy with another important assignment
<@Seraphna> Alita> Should we perhaps ask for outside assistance?
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "I presume you mean the group dispatched to the new lands."
<@DeathStar> <Lumi> Right. Plus I imagine an expedition underground, while exploring would be involved, would also involve a lot more fighting
<@DeathStar> <Shinobu> I think we should not rush into things. This attack just occurred. *she leans forward* The enemy is not likely to act right away. After all, they spent years gathering their forces.
<@DeathStar> <Shinobu> We should spend our time recovering and planning our next step too
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "We may not have any choice but to wait."
<@Seraphna> Alita> Many of our factions are currently crippled too. Those of us with might need to help the others recover.
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "We have been hurt... our enemy knows we are hurt...yet does not press the attack while we are still vulnerable."
<@DeathStar> *Qui's head tilts downward, like she's tuned out*
<@Seraphna> Alita> Their endgame likely does not require wiping us out. They seek to change everything.
<@DeathStar> <Lumi> I admit that is the one thing I cannot understand. If they want to change everything, removing us would make that easier
<@Seraphna> Alita> This Creation Magic has a cost associated.
<@Seraphna> Alita> The enemy is likely careful not to overreach until they are ready to act.
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Perhaps they intend to change us to fit their vision. What is a new empire without subjects to rule."
<@DeathStar> <Lumi> Perhaps. I'll see what more I can learn. We know that a piece is likely in the hands of Kumen's leadership. I haven't seen a price being enacted up there yet.
<@Seraphna> Alita> There is that, the Conquerer Paradox. You can’t rule a barren wasteland.
<@Seraphna> Amber> We don’t think the people using the magic there are the ones paying.
<@Seraphna> Amber> Kumen’s leadership has been… disappearing people.
<@Seraphna> Nell> Yeah they’re taking people off the streets, people go to work and never come home, that sort of thing.
<Alicia> <Sparkling> "So, we have to deal with Kumen too?"
<@DeathStar> <Lumi> Hopefully Asarar can handle it
<@DeathStar> <Lumi> It's always been her thing, and I do not want to step on her toes.
<@Seraphna> Nell> We’ve got Momma Ymir back at least.
<@DeathStar> <Seniga> The problem is if this magic leaning, she might be over her head. We'll see
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "From what I have heard, it is difficult to get on or off Kumen now."

<@Seraphna> Nell> The only way in or out is the academy teleporter.
<@DeathStar> <Aimee> But we won't fit on a teleporter. *She motions at the ship*
<@Seraphna> Nell> When we get stuff solved you can get back to Kumen in a blaze of glory.
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "We should not press our luck by overusing the one working teleporter that is available to us."
<@DeathStar> *Shinobu suddenly stands up* I apologize for cutting my part in this meeting short, but I have had a long night and requite rest. *to Melodie* Do you mind giving me a ride? *She strokes Melodie's head slowly*

<@DeathStar> <Shinobu> Certainly. *She hooks her arm around Alita's, walking with her onto the Draíocht*

<Jackieness> <Sasha> *rises* "Then consider this war council adjourned."
<@Seraphna> Amber> Same. I gotta help Celine with the transport.

<@DeathStar> <Aimee> I know I'd appreciate it. <Melodie> Um, well, if you want. *She pokes her fingers together, getting up to get the ship powered up* I wouldn't mind it

<Jackieness> <Sasha> *glances over and then at Rain* "Attend me." *leaves the council chamber*
<@DeathStar> *Rain bows and follows after Sasha*
<@DeathStar> *Shinobu glances at Alita* I thought the Queen was dead; is she with Lana's team?
<Alicia> <Sparkling> "Maybe she didn't die, or got revived?"
<Jackieness> <Sasha> *after they are out of earshot* "Did that not seem odd to you?"
<@Seraphna> Alita> Seems she makes her death to keep assassins away.

<@DeathStar> <Rain> ... *looks up, having been acting odd herself* Yes. I agree. I just can't put my fingers completely on it. During the meeting I was trying to feel out her energy - it was changed and stronger than normal.
<@DeathStar> *Shinobu shrugs* Let us go back. Did you want to come with us, Sparkling?

<@Seraphna> Alita> My dear, did you devour your opponent? **she seems to be inspecting her aura**

<@Seraphna> Alita> It was an elder vampire lord. Would explain the lovely leap in her aura.
<@Seraphna> Alita> I’m going to eat well tonight~
<@DeathStar> <Rain> I practically raised that girl. I should know if there is a difference in her. The fact her eyes are full gold instead of having a hint of red in them is also disturbing - it is like she is burning full vampric energy.
<@DeathStar> <Shinobu> Well. I did what I had do, after all.
<Alicia> <Sparking> "What did you do?"
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Will this be a problem?"
<@Seraphna> Alita> Not sure why you would hide it. The Daemon Lands will be impressed with your new status.
<@DeathStar> <Shinobu> Consume her power as Alita states. She was just overwhelming strong.
<@DeathStar> *Melodie and Aimee get the ship started and begin to fly southward*
<@Seraphna> Alita> In terms of status among our people, if any had issues with Shinobu not being Asmodean, they’ll have far less issue with her as a Vampire Queen.
<@DeathStar> <Rain> .... It depends. Let me say I would be afraid of losing myself if I tried to consume an ancient vampire. Their ego could very well overwhelm mine
<@DeathStar> <Rain> But what is done is done, the die has been cast
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Quite. Hopefully this doesn't turn into a double edges sword."
<@Seraphna> Alita> That being said my own feeding is affected by the power of my partner. We’ll have to be careful I don’t become a glutton~
<@DeathStar> <Rain> Only Alita can report if in the upcoming weeks if Shinobu's ego is destroyed and replaced
<@DeathStar> <Rain> As for Qui. *she sets down the relevant information on her*

<@DeathStar> *it appears that Qui is using her nymph body for the Lana group - somehow maintaining a conscious link to it even from here.*

<@DeathStar> <Rain> I cannot say if it's healthy or not for her to be dividing her consciousness or soul between two bodies, but this is what she is doing

<@DeathStar> <Seniga> Can you grab one of those magic gear armor things that go with this ship
<@Seraphna> **Nell nods and goes to get it, literally carrying it back**
<@DeathStar> *the piece looks to have transformed itself into somthing the size of a gauntlet, almost as if transforming itself into the image people have been picturing it. It has a high magic energy feel coming from it* <Seniga> It's suppose to counter the armor the Magic Emperor has by giving you a Magic Gear around yourself.
<@DeathStar> <Seniga> It draws power from the ship
<@DeathStar> <Seniga> You should check it out sometime. *by now the ship has arrived at Shinobu's place and Shinobu takes Alita's hand, moving from the ship onto the tower*
<@Seraphna> **Alita walks with her**
<@DeathStar> <Shinobu> Do you have anywhere else you have to be? *she asks Alita*
<@Seraphna> Alita> Many places but I need time to rest first and would rather be with you.
<@DeathStar> *Shinobu nods* I will have a preparations for a private dinner made up for tonight then. Should I invite Amber or anyone else over?
<@DeathStar> *Seniga glances at Nell and the two spirits* Any other places we should go? We haven't been given any ordres
<@DeathStar> <Seniga> No, you're right. We should go to the second star on the right. *She nods - despite being during the day time*

<@DeathStar> *Lumi is using the meeting hall to finish up a few things with Kito post meeting as they put up a drawing of the Knight that arrived to help them* That had to be Brandr, right?
<@DeathStar> *Lumi looks up as the castle alarm sounds*
<Jackieness> <Sasha> *looks up from her desk in the royal study*
<@DeathStar> *Rain steps into the study, along with some guards - clearly making sure she is safe*
<@DeathStar> *as soon as they secure the room, the alarm seems to die down*
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Report."
<@DeathStar> *Rain eyes the guard a moment, making a face* The chamber where your sister Celes was located is empty. We are investigating what happened to her and the guards that were assigned to watch over her in her frozen state right now, as both seem to be missing
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "If there are still any magi in the city, have them check for magical effects. We can't rule out a kidnapping by the Magic Emperor."
<@DeathStar> <Rain> Of course. I will see if Celine and Amber are still in the castle
<@DeathStar> *she steps out*
<Jackieness> <Sasha> *stands and moves back to the council chamber*
<@DeathStar> *Lumi seems to be writing questions about Brandr and Knights and how they tie to the Magic Emperor*
<@DeathStar> *next to her on the table is a few of the magic emperor's devices retrieved from people*

<Jackieness> <Sasha> "My sister and her guards have disappeared."
<@DeathStar> <Lumi> It must have been during the confusion of the battle or during the night afterward then. *she thinks* But why take her now?
<@DeathStar> *in the background, the Draíocht approaches the castle balcony, as if to crash into it*
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "...I don't." *looks* "What?"
<@DeathStar> *the ship slows and bumps ino the balcony, cracking it a bit*
<Jackieness> <Sasha> *plans her hands on her hips*
<@DeathStar> *Melodie and Aimee bounce out* <Melodie> We heard you needed magic stuff!
<@DeathStar> <Aimee> We hurried right over
<@DeathStar> *The two spirits beam while Lumi fixes her board*
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "You scuffed your hull."
<@DeathStar> *The two spirits jerk and hurry back to the ship*
<Jackieness> <Sasha> *lets out a breath*
<@Seraphna> Nell> That’ll add to the debt.
<Alicia> <Sparkling> "Is the damage bad?"
<@DeathStar> *Melodie seems to be buffering it out* It'll be okay. We'll be okay
<@DeathStar> *Seniga hands the spirit some turtle wax*
<@DeathStar> *Aimee clears her throat*
<@DeathStar> <Aimee> You needed magic scans?
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Yes. My sister and ehr retinue have gone missing."
<@DeathStar> *while Melodie tapes the balcony up, Aimee turns to the ship, and places something on Sparkling*
<Alicia> * Sparkling checks what it is
<@DeathStar> *it looks a little bit like a collar, with Aimee holding a leash. She hums as Sparkling's magic increases more than triple*
<Alicia> <Sparkling> "...what?"
<@DeathStar> <Aimee> Someone told me to design it this way
<@DeathStar> <Aimee> Should I redesign it?
<Alicia> <Sparkling> "Probably."
<@DeathStar> <Melodie> Aw. We'll make something like a headset then
<@Seraphna> Nell> Collars are useful for when you turn into a tiger.
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "...ahem...my sister is still missing."
<Alicia> <Sparkling> "I can't do that though."
<@DeathStar> *Aimee, holding the leash, suddenly scans the area with her ability, tapping into Sparkling's magic*
<@Seraphna> Nell> Dragon? Fox? Cat? Bat?
<@DeathStar> *The entire castle looks like it was scanned, and everyone begins to see information pop up*
<@DeathStar> *the castle wall has information pop up on it, Lumi has information pop up on her, Sasha has information pop up on her*
<Alicia> <Sparkling> "No."
<@DeathStar> *even Aimee, Sparkling, and Melodie are scanned and have information pop up. Seniga eyes herself as she and Nell are scanned*
<@DeathStar> *Rain makes a face at the scan*
<@DeathStar> <Melodie> Sparkling turns into something better. A magical girl
<@DeathStar> *Aimee's eyes glow as she seems to be reading the data she is getting as the scan runs out*
<@DeathStar> <Aimee> I got something
<@Seraphna> Nell> Do magical girls have tails?
<@DeathStar> *she removes the stuff off Sparkling and replaces it with a headset - it seems they already had ordinary equipment ready to go*
<@DeathStar> <Aimee> There is a room in your castle that shows it was breached with high level of magic.
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Where?"
<@DeathStar> *she points at the map - the room where Celes was located* <Aimee> The level of magic used is higher than Sparkling had even in her height as a magical girl. It might be stronger than our ship currently. If I had to compare it, it would be like a foxhole, but this magic simply ripped a hole and it could do it past any magical defense you put up
<@DeathStar> <Aimee> I would becareful
<Jackieness> <Sasha> *goes to ring a bell*
<@DeathStar> *Sasha's forces arrive and kneel before her. Rain and Kito also move to get ready*
<@DeathStar> *Melodie thinks and turns to Nell* We must make our ship stronger.
<@DeathStar> <Melodie> You need to feed us more stuff
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "A high magic breach has been detected in Celes' room. At this point, we can only assume that my sister has been taken by the Magic Emperor."
<@DeathStar> *There is a murmur of outrage among the people of the castle*
<Jackieness> <Sasha> *raises a hand to silence them* "We do not know to where my sister or her retinue have been taken. Our priority is still to help my people recover."
<@DeathStar> *They bow*
<@DeathStar> *Lumi turns to Nell, studying her in thought*
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "For now, see to your duties as best you cna given the current circumstances."
<@DeathStar> *They move to do so, as Lumi turns toward Sasha after she finishes*
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Rain, Kito, stay." *then turns to Lumi*
<@DeathStar> *Rain and Kito bow and remain behind*
<@Seraphna> Nell> Mmm? **looks to Lumi**
<@DeathStar> <Lumi> Do you think Liana and Luna are possible targets? Last I heard they were part of a dragon force with Brandr.
<@Seraphna> Nell> Considering Brandr helped recently… maybe?
<@DeathStar> <Kito> Are we sure it was him? I mean, it could be another huge dude who likes wrestling the dragons
<@DeathStar> <Kito> I always thought he liked doing it nude anyway
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Try to get a message out to them."
<@Seraphna> Nell> Nudity can increase power, or so some Progenitors say.
<@DeathStar> <Lumi> We could send Nell and Seniga out to see if they're okay. *she thumbs at the ship*
<@DeathStar> <Seniga> For the record - I am never getting naked even if it meant saving the day
<@DeathStar> *she hmphs, her fox ears twitching*

<@DeathStar> <Rain> I find it odd - the Emperor puts her in a frozen statsis spell for years then attacks Selena to kill her. Perhaps he intended to do the same to her but the attack ended up throwing her off the cliff. Then he returns and takes her?
