There is only three walls, and of those three walls there are holes all throughout it, making for a miserible experience*
<@DeathStar> *the entire way down the road the group has run into very little people since the spirit encounter and Peeps has noted that the outer regions of Xohan is very barren, having lots of dessert terrain*

<@DeathStar> <Peeps> Well, I suppose I can start with the leader of this land. The Bandit King - Damjan - is like like many kings. His family took over after the fall. And has held control ever since with a grip of fear and power.
<@DeathStar> <Peeps> They also wield unusul magic abilities compared to the other Kingdoms - they are not as strong as the other lands, but where they are lacking, Xohan's magics are notoriously powerful when it comes to the mind
<@Jackieness> <Lana> "Ahhhh...how so?"
<@DeathStar> <Peeps> The magiks of this land are able to seep into your heart and mind - and find your weaknesses. This is how they are able to defeat you without needing to fight you with strong magiks like fire and ice. They make you defeat yourself, then take you as a slave.

<@DeathStar> <Peeps> And their slave crest magiks are applied, it is very difficult to remove

<@DeathStar> *Peeps looks at Lana, shakes head as if she does not know* It is a magik that binds a link between master and servant. It makes the servant stronger, but it also means the servant cannot lay a hand against the master. Ever. And the master can kill the servant if they so choose. It is why the Bandit King has a powerful army
<@DeathStar> <Peeps> If you can defeat an owner of such a crest, those unde them are transferred to you however

<@Jackieness> <Lana> "...yes. While the others sealed their spirits away, fearing them, the Bandit King chose to free and explit their spirit."

<@DeathStar> <Peeps> The Bandit King lives in the biggest city far to the north, but traveling there will take much time. And the roads are dangerous, as his forces travel it looking for weak people to add to his army. His city is quite large and majestic, compared to this area where it is barren and full of small struggling farming villages. These parts of the lands are called the Bad Lands, due to how neglected they are and due to the slavers and ... others that travel the roads. You won't find many free villagers that will be willing to stand up and fight. They will simply be keeping their heads low
<@Jackieness> <Lana> "Ahhhh...it may be safer to avoid the open roads then."
<@DeathStar> <Peeps> There are two other large cities along the way - each run by a Knight. Xohan has two Knights. Knight Wymark and Lady Knight Jane. Wymark is said to be just as bad as the Bandit Knight and his city is first and not a pleasant city. But if you cannot get past his forces and the city, you will not make it much further. Lady Knight Jane's city is more orderly, at least.

<@DeathStar> <Peeps> Along the way to each of those major cities are smaller towns, but as I said, most people who are free will reject you - they will be afraid to rise up.

<@DeathStar> *The crest looks extremely complicated, and it appears removing it is also extremely complicated - most likely one will need certain magical tools to do it*

<@Seraphna> Alt> She said if we beat the masters we take control of their crests! We can free them then.
<@Jackieness> <Lana> "And how do we beat them without them using their enslaved to just overwhelm us?"

<@DeathStar> *the barren land is mostly flat and open space, sadly, with lots of sand and the heat beating down on them after the rain. Infact, giant birds seem to be flying over head, eyeballing them*

<@DeathStar> *Nicolette slows to a stop behind them, tending to Peeps*

<@DeathStar> *as Zayne and Selena take the lead and approach the buildings, they all look to be abandoned recently - plants can be seen out on window frames and clothes out on the line. *

<@DeathStar> *the doors to many of the buildings are open - many kicked in even*

<@Alicia> <Yoiyami> "I want to say we can use this, but it's a bit of a risk."

<@DeathStar> *Azif's attention seems to be directed toward a building to the east*
<@Jackieness> <Lana> "We'll shelter inside one of the buildings. When it starts to darken,g ather up any remainign supplies from the village and then we cna set out....ahhhh?" *looks at azif*

<@DeathStar> *she points at the darkness of the building*
<@Alicia> <Yoiyami> "Well, if we're already spotted..."
<@DeathStar> *Qui has sprawled out inside the shade*

<@Jackieness> <Lana> "...the raiders had vehicles. No vehicles here...so...ahhh...let's move in and see what it is."

<@DeathStar> *as Yoiyami nears the building, movement can be heard inside, as something flees further in*
<@DeathStar> *a table being hit*

<@DeathStar> *inside the room, a knocked over couch an be seen, a table is knocked ajar next to the kitchen cabinet which is shut, and the bed room doors are shut*

<@DeathStar> *Selena following, while Azif floats with Alt at the entrance*

<@DeathStar> *As Lana opens it, something leaps out and knocks her over. A tiny figure with horse ears rushes for the entrance*

<@DeathStar> *Alt catches a tiny six year old werebeast girl, who seems to be struggling with all her might until she falls over, exhausted*

<@Seraphna> **Alt gently puts her down and sets out some of her jerky**
<@DeathStar> *the girl eyes the jerky, then takes it and begins to eat it*
<@DeathStar> <Zayne> So. *she eyes the girl, then looks around the village* I guess Yoiyami is right - she must have hidden from them
<@Alicia> * Yoiyami checks her for injuries, chips or slave marks, for different reasons for each
<@DeathStar> <Azif> ..... *looks up from the girl* Alt. You should leave more jerky with her and then we should all leave her here as if she were a stray

<@DeathStar> <Azif> Bringing her would compromise the mission, would it not?
<@DeathStar> *the girl seems to have no injuries, or chips or marks, thankfully. She eyes Yoiyami warily, but seems to accept her touching her due to the fact she likely believes Yoiyami is a werebeast too*
<@DeathStar> *she keeps giving Lana, Selena, Zayne, Azif, etc wary looks*
<@DeathStar> *and refusing to go near them*
<@Jackieness> <Lana> "I don't know... can she even survive out here alone?"

<@DeathStar> *when night comes, the group would awaken to the sound of vehicles in the distance, driving along the badlands - their lights visible miles out. Qui, who seems recovered now, is staring out at them while Peeps and Nicolette are finishing gathering what they found in the city into a bag*
<@Jackieness> <Lana> "...keep an eye on them...once they have faded into the distance, we'll set out by cover of darkness."
<@DeathStar> <Qui> I been observing them. They been slowly getting closer in our direction
<@Seraphna> Alt> We beat them up?
<@DeathStar> <Zayne> They might pass by in the night - this is a lot of territory
<@Jackieness> <Lana> "We only attack if there is an immediate threat of discovery."
<@DeathStar> <Qui> Or they might come for the child.
<@DeathStar> <Qui> One of the parents might have told them
<@Alicia> <Yoiyami> "Set an ambush, maybe, and if they don't fall into it, we don't have to do anything?"

<@DeathStar> <Zayne> It would not be a bad spot for an ambush
<@DeathStar> *Peeps moves to take the girl and find somewhere safe for her*
<@DeathStar> *Nicolette hands rope she located inside one of the buildings*
<@Seraphna> Terra> If close will try to disable vehicles. Ground treads are weak to bumpy!

<@Jackieness> <Lana> "Rememebr, don't attack unless they come into the vilage perimeter."
<@DeathStar> *Selena climbs up onto the roof of one building while Nicolette sets up the rope trap*
<@DeathStar> *as they talk, three sets of vehicles seem to be headed down their way - the noisy vehicles growing closer*
<@Seraphna> **Terra starts to set earth traps around the perimeter that will collapse like sink holes**
<@DeathStar> *Zayne steps into one of the doorways, while Qui pulls Lana inside with her*
<@DeathStar> *Azif remains by the firepit, oblivious*
<@Jackieness> <Lana> *moves into a hiding place*
<@Alicia> * Yoiyami hides in the shadows
<@Jackieness> <Lana> "...get Azif into cover."
<@Seraphna> **Alt tales her into the the shadows**
<@DeathStar> *three bikes approach with cages on the side approach. As they near the sink holes, one goes down and the other two stop, clearly checking on the one bike*
<@Seraphna> **Terra has the sink hole expand as she shifts to anew location.**
<@DeathStar> *the remaining bikers decide to abandon the one, and the other two get in their bikes. A momenr or two later, the city begins to shake, blast coming in*
<@DeathStar> *whole buildings exploding*
<@Seraphna> **Terra shields those close with an earth wall then sends a shockwave out to the bikes**
<@DeathStar> *the bikes, which are hovering now, wobble back and the bikers seem to be talking among themselves*
<@Jackieness> <Lana> "Ahhhh....ahhh...use the cofnusion on the blast to take down the two remainign scouts."
<@DeathStar> *as the settlement only has afew buildings left, they seem to be narrowing down where the team is*
<@Seraphna> **Alt aims and fires a mana blast at one**
<@DeathStar> *Fae uses wind to mak the bikes wobble more*
<@Seraphna> **Terra teleports far to a flanking position and sends hyperspace their way**
<@DeathStar> *the bikers eyes their bikes taking damage and begin to fire blasts, first knocking Fae out of the air, then they charge their bikes toward Alt, firing*
<@DeathStar> *smoke coming out of them*
<@Jackieness> <Lana> *raises her hands and starts to weave, trying to raise mana spikes right in the bikers' paths*
<@Seraphna> **Terra warps to catch Fae**
<@DeathStar> *The bikes run over them and flip*
<@Seraphna> **Alt sends a mana blade spinning one of the riders as he lands**
<@Seraphna> **Talia goes streaking in with her blade at the other one**
<@DeathStar> *The two bikers are taken down as they are thrown from the bikes; the bikes landing near a settement smoking*
<@DeathStar> *Zayne warps toward the third person who was with his bike*
<@DeathStar> *they seem to be preparing something*
<@Jackieness> <Lana> "Make sure the last one goes down too!"
<@DeathStar> *the response seems to be a mild explosion in the distance*
<@DeathStar> *Selena looks over the chaos*
<@DeathStar> <Selena> And we didn't get a chance to ask any questions
<@Jackieness> <Lana> "Ahhh..we didn't expect them to call in an artillery strike."
<@DeathStar> *Selena kneels by the destroyed bike*
<@DeathStar> <Selena> This can't be used sadly
<@Jackieness> <Lana> "How much is left of all the bikes?"
<@DeathStar> *Zayne dusts her hands as she joins* Nothing of the third
<@DeathStar> <Selena> These two are whole, but look to be extremely damaged. *she motions at the sparking coming from them*
<@DeathStar> *Peeps steps over, since Yoiyami has switched off with her*
<@Jackieness> <Lana> *examines them to see if she could repair one with parts from the other*
<@DeathStar> <Peeps> That is .... *she looks for the words* The type of vehicle given to the most basic of foot soldiers in this land.
<@DeathStar> *it appears if she just wants to get the ride function going, she could get that going*
<@Jackieness> <Lana> *gets to work with the repairs*
<@DeathStar> *The little girl watches all of them as Lana works. Selena and Zayne pace about the settlement, keeping an eye out for more trouble, while Fae lays in Terra's arms, playing up the damsel in distress*
<@DeathStar> *Azif watches Lana, leaning over her shoulder, staring.* O_O
<@Jackieness> <Lana> *pauses and looks back at azif*
<@DeathStar> <Azif> You are into bikes?
<@Jackieness> <Lana> "Ahhhhh...I can take them apart and put them back together."

<@DeathStar> *Azif nods, as if she has Lana's number, moving back to keep an eye on Alt*

<@DeathStar> *the little girl stare with cute little eyes at Sera - proving she is asleep*

<@DeathStar> *the sun has begun to rise a bit, and Qui makes a face at that when Lana gets the bike repaired. A screen comes to life on the bike and a map pops up on it*
<@Jackieness> <Lana> "Ahhhh! We have a map!"
<@DeathStar> *showing nearby settlements and to the north west a location beeps - indicating where the bike is meant to return to, the name under it not one of the 3 major cities, but it seems to be A city. One that will be in their way judging by the map*
<@DeathStar> *Selena and Zayne studies it* This will be useful - it has all sorts of terrain and villages on it
<@Jackieness> <Lana> "...what do you make of this?"

<@DeathStar> <Peeps> It is likely referring to the gang lord of this area.

<@DeathStar> *the walking/driving goes by more smoothly this time at least. The sky is overcast and as they walk along, they see various sights. They pass what appears to be a skeleton tied up to dead tree, a skeleton of a vulture in it's mouth*

<@DeathStar> *they seem to be nearing the next location - it looks to be a small settlement near the Gang Lord's place*

<@Jackieness> <Lana> *tries to see if the map has any information on the settlement*
<@DeathStar> *as Lana brings it up - it lists it as a "free settlement" and that the population looks to be just a few hundred people*

<@DeathStar> <Zayne> I think that is a code word for not being in danger of being made into these people's play things
<@Jackieness> <Lana> "We can try our luck...I suppose."
<@DeathStar> *After a bit more traveling, the land becomes more farm land, with lots of crops all over the place and various homes begin to crop up. The people eye the group warily, especially considering what they're driving, refusing to meet their gaze as they drive along by the crops into the settlement proper*
<@DeathStar> *the center of the settlement has what looks to be a town square and a town house for meetings, plus one or two other buildings that look like they're there for special stuff - one looks like it serves drinks*
<@DeathStar> *but as they pull in the people all seem to be slowly disappearing into their homes, outside some slow people who have yet to notice them*

<@DeathStar> *The little girl picks up what looks to be some sort of corn type crop and begins to try to eat it - making a face*

<@DeathStar> *while Nicolette and Peeps begin to remove their gear from it*

<@Seraphna> **Terra inspects the crops**
<@DeathStar> *it appears the map runs on the mana power being generated inside the bike's systems. Removing it from that system will cause the map to slowly run out of it*
<@DeathStar> *it also will no longer update the map once removed*
<@DeathStar> *The crops seem to be made of things like rice, corn, etc - stuff that is easy to plant and grow*
<@Jackieness> <Lana> "Its tied to the bike's power system. I can download the current state of the map though."
<@Jackieness> <Lana> *tries to do so*

<@DeathStar> *the horse girl stares at Terra curiously*

<@DeathStar> *as they exit the barn and begin to approach the town square, the people seem to have come back out, thinking the team had left. But as they begin to walk back, the town folk study them as if trying to decide what to make of the outsiders*

<@DeathStar> *they eye Peeps, the girl, Alt, Yoiyami, and Talia, whispering - it seems they are trying to determine the dynamic of the group as Zayne steps up to the make shift tavern, which is more of a local hang out where one can relax to music and drinks at night after work time is done. Right now everything is cleaned up and a woman is wiping everything down and cleaning what looks to be a tiny dance floor*
