<@DeathStar> *inspecting their boat, the group has found parts of their boat has been stripped off, likely for value, parts inside have been taken, and more. While they have gotten the boat out of the warehouse, it doesn't do them too much good - they can't get much further than Trade City itself due to it's design.*
<@DeathStar> *so Selena has parked it among the other ships, hoping to blend in right now. Azif though seems to be looking at something and seems to be concerned* <Azif> We have another issue

<@DeathStar> <Azif> They stripped the part of the ship that the Creation Piece was stuck to
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Whaaaaaaaat?!"
<@DeathStar> <Azif> I believe it is still not visible to the naked eye
<@DeathStar> <Azif> But it would be bad if they stumbled upon it by sheer stupid luck
<Jackieness> <Lana> "...we need to get our parts back... also mod the ship a little to not raise suspicion...but, most of all, we need to get that piece back before it falls into the hands of the bandit King or Magic Emperor."

<@DeathStar> *Selena muses* I do wonder how they managed that. Both of them are some of the more powerful spirits
<@DeathStar> <Selena> I don't see them rolling over.

<Jackieness> <Lana> "...they may have sent their enslaved spirit to deal with them. That would explain why she didn't hit the Wall after we took it."
<@Seraphna> Talia> If she is the spirit I think she is, then they could have been beaten by her.

<@DeathStar> *Trade City, despite it being late at night/early morning is still full of people doing various things. The streets are full of people offering deals on the side, having set up their own little booths*

<@DeathStar> *as the group walks along, they would see them offering things like "elixirs of life, protection amulets against evil, tonics to make you beautiful, hair growth potions, beauty potions, etc, etc*
<@DeathStar> *one booth is a weapon booth, with a shady dealer in a cloak, offering living weapons, calling out to the group as they go by* <Dealer> You all look like warriors. I am selling weapons that can protect you from anything. These are the most unique weapons in the realm
<@DeathStar> *Lavenza tilts her head, holding onto Nicolette's hand as she walks along behind her, out from the hat for once oddly - like she's seeking something*

It will allow you to transfer ownership. *he takes his money and goods, packing up the other Gladius and moves off. The blonde Gladius and Wyrd watching them go. It's clear Wyrd would drive her weapon into his back if she could*I

<@DeathStar> <Wyrd> Being that I can travel around as a shadow, I been moving around seeing what I can learn - ahead of you all. And I came across a rumor that disturbed me
<@DeathStar> *the blonde gladius seems to mostly be quiet during all this, staring at the group and not speaking much, but has positioned herself next to Alt, which seems to be annoying Azif to no end*
<@DeathStar> <Wyrd> There is a Gladius market in this kingdom - exploitation and everything. They use them until they wear down and break. So I been investigating it this entire time
<@Seraphna> Alt> We’ll help you beat them
<Jackieness> <Lana> "....and that is where we found you..."
<@Seraphna> Alt> Or turn them into fish and eat them.
<@DeathStar> <Wyrd> It looks like almost every high level enemy is equipped with a Gladius. And whatever is allowing them to make and bring them under control, I got hit by the spell. I have no idea how they did it. It came at me from behind
<Jackieness> <Lana> "...what is wrong with this place?"
<@DeathStar> *Selena turns to eye all the people on the streets, making various haggling deals with each other*
<@DeathStar> <Lavenza> Lana want serious answer?
<@DeathStar> <Lavenza> Lavenza think this kingdom is a reflection of it's leader.
<Jackieness> <Lana> "...so...he's...an insecure man-child who needs to own people because he never grew up and never had boundaries set for him."

<@DeathStar> *A few of the people of the city seem to be in a circle around her, and they are looking a little overly close, talking to her about something*

<@DeathStar> *it would appear the people are mostly men - there do not appeat to be any authority figures, but Alt would spot one or two of them holding something suspect in their hands which they hide when Alt shows up. Zayne turns her head to look at Alt*
<@Seraphna> Alt> Oh what a lovely gathering!
<@DeathStar> <Man A> I advise you leave. *they begin to disperse, giving Alt a side eye look as they return to either their nearby homes, shops, or back to peddling on the streets*

<@DeathStar> <Zayne> I was seeking information on what happened here - I figured one person would seem less suspect than an entire group
<Jackieness> <Lana> "And we managed to get less harassaed than you did...soooo..."
<@Seraphna> Alt> I’m taking us to our stuff.
<@DeathStar> <Zayne> Well, I did learn what happened. It is probably why I came under threat
<@DeathStar> *she joins them in their walk*

<@Seraphna> Alt> They part of the thugs?
<@DeathStar> *the group begins to approach what looks like a scrap yard of sorts. Large gates surround the yard, with the gates being closed currently. It looks like the sign on the gates notes that it belongs to Grady Brothers Scrapyard.* <Zayne> The night the boat arrived, it appears an incident occurred. No one is really sure what started it all, but someone on the boat irked the town and so trouble broke out. Shin and Verdant protected the crew, which meant using their powers, which in turn alerted the spirit.
<@DeathStar> <Zayne> From what I can tell, a deal was struck I think. They went with the spirit north of here in order for the crew to not be harmed.
<@DeathStar> <Zayne> The crew is currently in a "hotel" in the city. I was trying to learn where when they were getting rowdy with me
<Jackieness> <Lana> "...what exactly happened? How did trouble break out?"
<@Ariel> <Nicolette> "We're not looking for any trouble here. It'd be a shame if they started some."
<@DeathStar> <Zayne> If I had to guess from some of the conversation, the city probably wanted to take some of Lana's equipment as tax or someting along those lines. The crew got up in arms
<@DeathStar> <Zayne> I can't see them getting into trouble otherwise
<Jackieness> <Lana> "...probably shouldn't have brought the ship into this hellhole....ugh."
<@Seraphna> Alt> Looks like the price got put in the scraps. We can just buy them for repairs.

<Jackieness> <Lana> "...ahhh...right...let's dfocus on what we can do."
<@DeathStar> *she studies the gate - and notices there's a buzzer. It looks like people come here to find stuff they want*
<@DeathStar> <Selena> So how do we want to play this?
<@Seraphna> **Alt taps it repeatedly like a Lizard with a button**
<@DeathStar> *a moment later, a gruff voice answers* Stop that. Its annoying. Who are you and what do you want?
<@Seraphna> Alt> Need stuff to fix our ship!
<@DeathStar> *The Masked Man scratches his butt while the gate to the scrapyard slooooowly opens all dramatic like and two large Gladius step in. They seem to tower over Wyrd, who has to crane her head up. Who knows what type of weapon they must be to be so large*
<@DeathStar> *they appear to be twin Gladius, both of them looking the same, as they sneer down at the group, especially at Wyrd and Heyu, and then behind them a tiny little fellow with goggles comes in - barely meeting Alt at her chest height wise*
<@Seraphna> Alt> Are you the yard keeper?
<@DeathStar> <Grady> I'm the eldest Grady Brother and I run the place with my younger brother. Follow me. *He walks into the scrapyard, his two large Gladius following him - inside mountains of objects are piled all over the place*
<@DeathStar> *Zayne looks around the mountains of stuff, then mimes pushing Grady into the junk and leaving him buried forever*
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Wow...look at all of this stuff."
<@DeathStar> <Grady> Yes, this is my treasure trove. If I don't have it, you won't find it!
<@Seraphna> Alt> We just need parts for our ship… I think some of what I spot would fit almost like it was made for it! **says it innocently enough that she comes off as a ditz rather than sarcastic**
<@DeathStar> *Grady eyes her* <Grady> Well, yer not the only one in here tonight.
<@DeathStar> <Grad> My brother is keeping an eye on the other guest

<@Seraphna> Alt> Oh? Well we will try not to get in their way. Whoever dat is.
<@DeathStar> *As they round a large pile of junk, they would see a Knight. A familiar Knight - one of two Greborlg's Knights. They seem to be talking to a large man that resembles Grady, but is much bigger and bulkier, like the Gradius*
<@DeathStar> *they seem to be discussing something very intently*
<@Seraphna> **Alt zeroes in on their ship parts.**
<Jackieness> <Lana> *whispers* "...they must have been attracted to the machien fragment..."
<@DeathStar> *the ship parts seem to be in the general area of where the Knight is at - but further behind the Knight on some piles in the background*
<@DeathStar> <Azif> *whispers* I am shocked they are able to track it so well. They must know it is in the general area, but cannot see it
<Jackieness> <Lana> "...the seal may have been partially compromised."
<@Seraphna> Alt> I see it. We can just go around and claim ours first.
<@Seraphna> Alt> Momma Lana, no playing with Eldritch magic. Is not good for your bounciness.
<@DeathStar> *The Knight seems to turn and look their way, especially at --- Nicolette*
<@DeathStar> *Then begins to move over to them*
<@Ariel> * Nicolette waves, "Didn't expect to see a familiar face."

<@DeathStar> <Grady> So, you see something you like? *he eyes all his stuff* Quality stuff here
<@DeathStar> <Knight Nina> I am surprised as well. You are far from Greborlg. *she looks over them, then reaches and removes her helmet, revealing a brown haired woman underneath* Harper sends her regards, by the way.
<@Seraphna> **Alt nods** See the right parts. Mind if I go get?
<Jackieness> <Lana> "We continued our exploring, and ended up here, where we had some problems with our ship..."
<@DeathStar> *Grady leads Alt to where she wants, providing a cart, snapping his fingers at his brother to help load up what Alt wants*
<@DeathStar> <Nina> Is that so? Is there anything I can help you with?
<@Ariel> <Nicolette> "Let's just say, customs are brutal here."
<@Seraphna> **Alt inspects the parts, making sure the seal is set before having them load it and other parts up**
<@DeathStar> *Azif hovers around Alt as they make sure to have the piece and the ship parts. Zayne mainly keeps her eyes open for trouble as the scrapyard manager tallies it up and gives Alt a higher price than is reasonable for everything*
<@DeathStar> <Nina> *nods* Xohan is not a friendly Kingdom, I will say that. Greborlg and Xohan has always had an uneasy relationship. *she looks around* The only reason I am here is that I am still tracking that fugitive
<@Seraphna> Alt> **starts to haggle with, pulling out some rare looking fish that were definitely not guards at one point**
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Ahhhh...is he around here?"
<@DeathStar> <Nina> He was reported to have been seen in the city, it seems, then headed northward. I thought maybe the information was incorrect since I felt something here. But, seeing as he is the most likely one to have stolen it .... I am probably just imagining the feeling... *she murmurs, turning back to them* If you find yourselves in trouble, reach out to me. I will be sure to lend you a hand if I can.

<@DeathStar> <Nina> I suppose the biggest thing I can offer in advise is to believe in yourself. This kingdom can play at your heart in bad ways. I've seen some of my men give up due to stuff only they see.

<@DeathStar> <Nina> But the bad thing is -- whatever they're seeing is still real enough to hurt them

<@DeathStar> *The Masked Man, seemingly popping up out of nowhere again, having vanished during the scrap yard, picks up one of the fish*

<@DeathStar> <Crew Member 3> She got us out of there all quietly and when we were on our way back, she suddenly fell over and began to grasp herself, then she began to act like she was dying. Then she suddenly began to act like she was being flung back from invisible attacks and mumbling someone's name. It sounded like Rain

<@DeathStar> *As they reach the alley, Zayne is holding the side of the building, bleeding from her side from what appears to be a knife wound. Infact, she seems to have a few slashes from what looks to be cuts - her face, hand wounds likely from defending herself, etc. She lurches away, mumbling to something that the others are not seeing*
<@DeathStar> *Wyrd forms from the shadows while Selena and Qui hop off, scanning the alley* <Selena> ... I'm seeing nothing
<@DeathStar> <Wyrd> No, there is something in the alley. Some sort of magic.
<@DeathStar> *As she says that, Zayne's side gains yet another wound and she stumbles away. For whatever reason, she does not seem to be attacking back*

<@Ariel> * Nicolette reaches out, trying to sense what sort of magic is at play here
<@Seraphna> **Talia moves around her and the inner Talia casts Cure Full on Wyrd**
<@DeathStar> *Zayne pauses, then turns her head, as if barely hearing Nicolette, but as she reaches out Nicolette would sense there is some sort of magical energy all about in the alley, swarming around*
<@DeathStar> *now that Nicolette is feeling around, at first it feels like nothing is going to happen*
<@DeathStar> *then suddenly Zayne's face slams down onto the gorund*
<@DeathStar> *it looks like whatever it is, is speeding up the attack*

<@Ariel> * Nicolette channels raw magic energy and, rather than focusing on a spell, she tries to push the existing energy outwards and away from Zayne

<@DeathStar> *Zayne lifts her head up, gasping as Nicolette pushes it away. Thankfully, her wounds are healed and she seems to be clearer of mind now*

<@DeathStar> *as Nicolette says that, there's movement in the alley. Selena shifts to help Zayne to her feet, when her head snaps to the alley and something begins to move toward them, this time all of them seeing the figure approach. A small petite figure of Rainshine approaching them, her eyes wide with insanity, looking much like Sunny back in the day, holding a knife in her hand* <Rainshine/Sunny Jr> Mooother. Are you really running away again?

<@DeathStar> *Zayne freezes in place, looking as if her mind is not comprehending what she is seeing. Those attune to magic would Zayne's mental stabilty is cracking a bit, dark energy surging inside her. The Rainshine is hit, more physical this time as it stumbles back, until Alt begins to drain it. It narrows it's eyes at the two* <Rainshine> Tch. This is why I do not like appearing in front of groups. *she flings the knife right at Alt's heart, then forms another knife and flings another at Nicolette's head*

<@DeathStar> *by now it's fully morning and people have begun to notice their boat*

<@DeathStar> *Qui leans over the boat to peer at the docks becoming busy; meanwhile the crew has the boat up to 100%*
<@DeathStar> *Lavenza has plopped herself on the deck and seems to be almost praying, sitting there with her eyes closed*
<@DeathStar> <Wyrd> *forms her scythe as it begins to look like a group of guards and whatnot are mobilizing, realizing their boat was the one taken from the warehouse*
<@Ariel> * Nicolette stands on guard, knowing they'll be vulnerable while Lana does her thing
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Keep them off of us... I'm almost ready!"
<@DeathStar> <Wyrd> Right.
<@DeathStar> *she shadow ports off the ship and moves to the docks themselves to keep them from approaching the ship*
<@DeathStar> *but even doing that, Nicolette would see a few approaching. They begin to approach the ship and attempt to board the ship*
<@DeathStar> *Speedy hurries over to Nicolette and throws water at the invaders while Qui swings her broom at them. Peeps observers from the safety of Lavenza as Zayne prepares her spells and taps a few to knock them off. But still a few hop onto the deck*

<@DeathStar> *Lana meanwhile has to do the most complicated OG weave in the universe*

<@DeathStar> *Selena aims right for the slide, the crew below giving the ship all she has as Zayne grips the boat. Peeps and Speedy try not to slide off as the boat goes up the slide ramp and over the other side, soaring through the air for a moment*
<@DeathStar> *then lands on the other side with a splash, detaching anyone that wasn't holding on with a thud and a splash as they keep sailing up the river*
<Jackieness> <Lana> *flops on deck* "Ahhhhhhhhh!"
<@DeathStar> *behind them, a boat tries to give chase up the slide as well but ends up crashing*
<@DeathStar> *comically causing destruction behind them*
<Jackieness> <Lana> *releases the weave, letting the slide dissolve into raw mana once again*
<@DeathStar> *Qui picks Lana up* Lets get you to bed so you can rest. We can handle the rest while we take the river for now

<@DeathStar> *up ahead, at least the landscape looks normal compared to the Badlands - on either side of them it appears to be grasslands almost. No forests and no farmlands right now. *
