<@DeathStar> *the group has been traveling through the slightly colder region, the carriage moving through areas that seem to an almost unnatural chill to them as they pass through very little in the way of villages so far. Selena studies the map provided to them by Jean, clicking her tongue while letting Lana drive the carriage*
<@DeathStar> <Selena> We should be approaching a settlement soon, hopefully. It'll be the first we've seen in awhile
<@Jackieness> <Lana> "How far?"
<@DeathStar> *Lavenza is wrapped up in the blankets provided to them by Jean in the supplies*
<@DeathStar> <Selena> If I had to guess, we should be upon it soon. The name simply lists it as Settlement 8. It looks like the Knight of this area is not very creative - or does not care.
<@DeathStar> *Gwen lays in the back of the carriage under blankets*
<@Jackieness> <Lana> "...I wonder if the locals have a name for it."
<@Ariel> <Nicolette> "Likely the later, though... there is a bit of practicality to it."
<@DeathStar> *Selena traces her finger along the map* From Settlement 8, we should be able go straight along a path toward Wymark's city, though, which isn't too much further than that. It's named after him. Wymark must be the family name. And it looks like it is a rather large stronghold of a a city, as it stands before the Bandit King's own city. Glancing at t the map, Wymark's city has around 12 of these smaller Settlement type "cities" all around his region

<@DeathStar> *as they crest a hill, up ahead is a small city - not overly large, situated at what appears to be at the foot of a lake with some mild medium to large hills/mountains, with snow covering the top of them. Smoke can be seen rising up from the rooftops*

<@DeathStar> <Selena> Are we prepared for this?
<@Jackieness> <Lana> "Do you have a way to prepare?"
<@Ariel> <Nicolette> "Prepared? No. Ready? Sure."
<@DeathStar> <Selena> Not ready. We shouldn't run into too much trouble here - hopefully.

<@DeathStar> <Selena> But it will give us an idea of what is to come as we get closer to the main capital of ths region
<@DeathStar> *Azif tilts her head at Alt*
<@DeathStar> *as they approach the settlement, several things become clear - the sounds of metal can be heard being pounded as they come closer, and in the distance one can see mining occurring, as the hills have mines in operation and the lake looks very dirty as they seem to be using the lake as well for their operations. There also appears to be some fishing operations going on in other parts of the lake. Another thing they would notice a lot of the beast men - the horse beast men - are the ones doing the mining, though there are humans out there doing it, and they all look under fed. So do many of the other civilians as they ride through town*

<@DeathStar> *the ones who look to be in better shape are armorers, who seem to be making armors and metal goods, and those running shops - there do seem to be shops here and there, but it appears most of the mining goods are being stocked up to be sent elsewhere by laborers. Ther also does seem to be an inn as they ride by. Oh and there faces are on wanted posters in the town square*

<@DeathStar> *Shin and Zayne eye each other, and decide to try to appear less incognito, pulling the blankets up on themselves*

<@Ariel> * Nicolette ties her hear back, and puts on a pair of glasses. Always good to have props.
<@DeathStar> *of course, with Terra in the back and having the charisma of a radiating sun, the party is doomed despite all these actions*
<@DeathStar> *so far the others have not been noticed, but Terra is certainly drawing eyes*

<@DeathStar> *Shin blinks at the order, then reaches for a supply bag and stuffs Terra inside it*

<@DeathStar> *the group slowly makes their way along - as they do, they would notice a huge area devoted to what appears to be soldier barracks, surprisingly, and one large man is yelling at a group of beast men who are cowering*

<@DeathStar> <Man> You lazy, good for nothing - you will go back in there and mine! I do not care what happens to you!
<@DeathStar> *He points at the mines and the beast men writhe in pain, as if the orders are causing them pain despite their fears not to go and they struggle, compelled to go to the mines. By his clothing, he looks to be in charge of the town*

<@DeathStar> <Selena> ... *motions at a side road, that seems to go out of town* That path should take us out and toward the city of Wymark

<@DeathStar> <Shin> It would explain the feeling of this town becoming exhausted

<@DeathStar> *up ahead is a massive fortress of a city - it sprawls out much like The Wall did, but unlike the wall, this an actual city build on top of a snowy mountainous city, blocking the way forward, and the mountains providing natural barriers. Only one way forward as well, the road going directly toward massive gates, with statues of what looks to be ancient ancestors of Wymark on either side of the road, looking down on the people*
<@DeathStar> *Selena is dressed up like a business woman for the group, her short hair already beginning to grow back*
<@Jackieness> <Lana> *continues to drive the carriage forward with her 'troupe' in the back*
<@DeathStar> *Yoiyami seems to be MIA, having snuck off sometime*
<@DeathStar> *a small gathering is at the gates, surprisingly, as they arrive. It seems to be mostly foreigners, and the team would recognize the one Rogue Knight and his party there in line, though barely - they seem to be wrapped up in robes due to the cold*
<@DeathStar> *there are also what appears to be Greborlg officals in line up ahead, passing through showing their IDs to get inside. Gwen currently, thankfully, has his armor off, and is dressed like a monster tamer. Lavenza leans forward and hands everyone the IDs that Jane gave them*
<@Seraphna> **Alt sticks with Azif while Talia is the ferocious cat monster**
<@DeathStar> *the Greborlg officals pass through and enter the city, then the Rogue Knight steps up. Seeing he is a Knight, the guards pass him and his party through. And the team's carriage is waved forward*

<@Ariel> * Nicolette has changed up her look. Her hair is meticulously curled, and with the eye shadow and lipstick, she hardly looks like the same person. She wears a purple dress with a lower cut than normal, sitting on the edge of their wagon, with a sly smile painted on her lips.
<@DeathStar> *Shin seems to be looking nervous - good thing she doesn't sweat. She tries to look normal as she wears her chosen outfit, the guard looking over each of them*
<@DeathStar> <Guard> What are you suppose to be?
<@Jackieness> <Lana> "I am Madam Zara...and this is my performing troupe."
<@Jackieness> <Lana> *is affecting a generic Slavic accent*
<@DeathStar> *the guard blinks, likely never having heard such an accent in his life, trying to place what kigndom Lana is from*
<@DeathStar> *taking their IDs, he eyes them again* And performing troupe? I can't say we ever had one of them here before. .... So you all entertain?
<@Jackieness> <Lana> "We are traveling performers, here to distract and amaze with our feats."

<@DeathStar> *The guard returns them, then nods* Fine, you may go inside. *he opens the barrier and waves them inside* Try not to cause any trouble.

<@Jackieness> <Lana> *starts the carriage rolling forward again*
<@Ariel> * Nicolette gives the guard a small wink, and then goes back to pretending he doesn't exist.
<@DeathStar> *as the carriage moves forward, the first thing of note is how very, very clean and orderly the city is as it opens up into what appears to be the center of the city, which likely gives the best impressions to people. Everything looks very beautiful, made of ancient stone and the buildings well crafted. The people here are well dressed and seem to be nobles, and not slaves, and there are many businesses here. It seems that the question of all the mining and all the ore being mined earlier is that it is likely coming here, or at least first stops, as it seems that there are shipments here. One can see that large ships of raw materials, as well as weapons and armors that are produced are being sold and one can see buyers such as Greborlg and others are down by what looks to be airships, loading them onto them. Though the mystery buyers are wrapped up in cloaks to hide their identity*
<@DeathStar> *The nobles who are not part of all this though are mainl shopping for clothing - silks and goods, which are likely coming in from other parts of the Bandit King's kingdom, or being produced here in the city. They seem to be all jolly and pleased. From the town center, one can go to the port, to the castle region, or to the, a-hem, slave/working part of the city, which seems to take the majority of the city*

<@DeathStar> <Selena> So, where should we aim to begin?
<@Jackieness> <Lana> "...god question...we need a spot to set up shop to make it look good."

<@Seraphna> Talia> Travelling troupes tend to so tavern wil provide food and make money in turn.
<@DeathStar> *Selena glances at the nearby inn in the noble district - it looks very expensive*
<@DeathStar> *the Rogue Knight though seems to ignore it and is heading for the working class/slave area*
<@Jackieness> <Lana> "Not the rich people inn."
<@DeathStar> <Selena> Then I guess we should follow our old friend from the Wall then
<@Jackieness> <Lana> *nods and starts going to the working class area as well*
<@Ariel> <Nicolette> "Hm... I never really did the troupe thing. Normally I'd see them set up at the edge of town, but that doesn't work for a city."
<@Ariel> <Nicolette> "Well, not a walled one like this."
<@Jackieness> <Lana> "The rich don't go to see perofrmance troupes in inns or in the marketplace.s This is entertainment for the masses."
<@DeathStar> *as they all follow the other party, the city slowly changes - it still is very clean, but the buildings are no longer in great shape; they become smaller, cramped, less maintained. The population becomes more mixed with beastman and the atmosphere is dreary as they it looks crowded here. The people here seem to be doing various labor jobs and it seems to be a multitude of things. Many are running around working in the barracks off to the side, working for the soldiers in various ways and it does not look pleasant. Some are working on the city, keeping it clean while others are working on laborers and keeping the city from falling apart. Others seem to be forming parties to go out and do something - it looks like monster raid parties or something. As they go about, the Rogue Knight and company seem to eventually stop at a building and move inside it - it appears to be a tavern of sorts judging by the noise level inside*

<@DeathStar> *A few people seem to have taken note of the wagon*
<@DeathStar> *and whispering has begun, as kids especially are pointing. One boy walks up* <Kid> Who are you?
<@DeathStar> *A girl peers up at Shin, Nicolette, and Talia*
<@Jackieness> <Lana> *leaps from the carriage* "I am Madam Zara! And this is my Menagerie! Of Mystery!"
<@Seraphna> Talia> I am cat monster. Rawr.
<@DeathStar> *Gwen waves Talia around over the kids head*
<@DeathStar> *Selena begins to put up posters*
<@DeathStar> *more people begin to move over to see this Zara and the Menageria of Mystery*

<@Jackieness> <Lana> *poses as she gestures over her 'troupe'* "Come and see to find out for yourself!" *seems more relaxed playing another role than beign just herself, interestingly enough*
<@DeathStar> **the group moves to the carriage and sees Gwen holding Talia by a leash* <Gwen> This here is the fierces cat monster ever seen. *He tells them* I caught her in a wild land
<@Jackieness> <Lana> *twirls over and sweeps an arm* "Behold the beast Master!"
<@DeathStar> *the kids and others crowd around to see Talia and Gwen*
<@Seraphna> Talia> Roar Roar.
<@Ariel> * Nicolette practices some sleight of hand in the back as she lets "Zara" do the talking. With a flick of the wrist, there's a fan to add to the mystery. Another, and she's taking a sampling the fragrance of a freshly cut rose.
<@DeathStar> *a few girls look in awe as they try to follow Nicolette's motions*
<@DeathStar> <Girl> Amazing. <Girl 2> Pretty.
<@DeathStar> *a few seem to have noticed Shin's "booth" and are wandering in, where she gives them their "fortune". *
<@Ariel> * Nicolette gives them a genuine smile and tucks the fan under one arm. She pulls a second rose, and offers one to each of them.
<@DeathStar> *The two seem to be completely floored and give hugs to Nicolette* Thank you, Magic Rose Lady! *Nicolette has even begun to draw some fans from many of the boys with the trick, but by now, all this has drawn the attention of the Rogue Knight who is watching, as well as some of the guards in this area, who are watching all of this. Fae begins to do her trick with Terra*

<@DeathStar> *Selena monitors all of this with Zayne, who is acting as a fan in the crowd, clapping and helping get the crowd into it*
<@DeathStar> *Lavenza shows up dressed in a cape and acts like a mascot, but trips on it, which most think is an act*
<@DeathStar> *it appears due to their performance though, the guards studying them seem to be completely fooled and after staring at them for a bit, move off*
<@DeathStar> *the group is extremly popular and the crowd does not thin out for sometime, not until the sun begins to dip down, as it seems that the talk of them keeps up for quite sometime and people switch out so new people can come in and out. However aftr a while it seems someoen or something seems to finally break it up, likely a guard, and the group is given a break. Nicolette ending up at the end wih many hugs, and Talia many pets*

<@DeathStar> *Shin has come out of her booth and looks like she has run a marathon, holding notes*

<@DeathStar> <Shin> There is a little money in some, but most of them seem to be addresses...

<@DeathStar> *Rogue moves inside the busy tavern and gets a table for all of them; it looks to be run down, but everyone seems happy and the atmosphere light.*

<@DeathStar> *The tavern keeper's waitress is hurrying around seeing to orders as Selena, Shin, and Zayne take their seats. Lavenza and Fae poof into tiny forms and sit on respective heads*

<@Jackieness> <Lana> "Ahh...pleased to make your acquaintance."
<@DeathStar> *he removes his helmet, revealing a surprisingly young man, looking to be no older than 19 at best, with grayish hair and gray eyes.* <Alain> The honor is mine. *he sets the helmet down as he gets the waitress' attention* The food and drink is on me.

<@DeathStar> *Gwen plays it quietly, getting some ale as her pets Talia* <Alain> First you bring down the Wall, then you bring down Lord Miz's territory; rumor has it you have made an alliance with Lady Jane and now reports reach me that one of Lord Wymark's settlements has been attacked.
<@Ariel> <Nicolette> "Huh? There was an attack?"
<@Jackieness> <Lana> "We came straight here."
<@DeathStar> <Alain> Yes, it was either late last night or early this morning. Someone came in with quite the fury to rescue the slaves there. Wymark - I imagine he will not be happy and will be sending his forces to deal with whoever it is that is attacking his settlements
<@DeathStar> *Zayne begins to look a little too non-emotional, peering down at her plate*

<@DeathStar> <Alain> It is possibly Greborlg gear, their elite soldiers use magically enhanced magic armor and right now the Greborlg are running around the area searching for someone. And it could be the King's elite guard, to protect him from assassination attempts. But that would mean he's loaned them out to others like Wymark to well - burn the trees down and attack those who are transporting magic wood.

<@DeathStar> <Alain> The reason they could be similiar is that there is overlap as the resources here are used to make some of the armor and materials for armor and weapons - the King here makes a killing selling Greborlg material.
