<DeathStar> *she walks in into the office, this being more of a meeting office then the Senator's main office. A long desk is there with the Senator present. Bookcases line the walls, some terminals and other stuff*

The President believes they might have been Weapons perhaps. Due to their signature. We would have missed it if him. *he brings up some screens*
<ChadWinters> Cobalt rescue mission? 6He crosses his arms, looking over at the screens
<DeathStar> *it is hard to make out anything but it looks like beams of light coming entering a truck where Lev is being recorded, grabbing him, then beaming out in real time*
<Gabby> Tabetha> "These came off as Weapon energy signatures?"
<ChadWinters> Anything that's been registered before?
<Xanatos> <Marcus> Hmmm. Beams of light. 6* He mumbles to himself, glancing to Lemon to see if she's thinking what he is.
<Xanatos> <Marcus> Was there any trace energy readings other that what President Dias discovered?
<DeathStar> *Denham looks at the report* No Weapon signature that we have on file on EarthGov. And there was some sort of scrambler employed to befuddled our sensors.
<DeathStar> <Denham> It would have looked like a normal teleport and grab on camera otherwise
<ChadWinters> Could be whats left of Cobalt throwing up a smoke screen.
<Xanatos> <Marcus> Any way you can send those readings to our techies?
<Gabby> Angela> Sounds like a smoke screen to me too.
<DeathStar> <Denham> The President said though it was similiar to a Weapon signature though that he recognized. *he hands over the data* Of course. We want you to find Lev - again
<Sathen> Rea> Question is, are there any records of Weapons that were created but are currently un-accounted for that might fit the bill for this?

<Xanatos> 6* Marcus reaches out to take the data and begins to send it back to the base techs to evaluate.
<DeathStar> *Denham rises* Good luck and try to keep this on the down low. It would look bad to let people know we captured a terrorist just to lose him again

<DeathStar> *Denham shakes his hand. Zephyr muses as she and Lemon step out. Lemon checks for where the other Senator's office is at*

* ChadWinters rubs the side of his face, in a slight deep thought. 1"Cobalt would have the highest probability, but if it's Weapon based...unless someone found a way to duplicate the signature."
<DeathStar> *Lemon stops at an area where the Senators are kept, closer to the Presidental Building. Heading in, Lemon looks for Hamilton's office, the offices here much smaller*
<Gabby> * Angela sighs. "Sometimes I miss the deeply misproportioned system I happily retired from years ago."
<Xanatos> <Marcus> Maybe we should have one of our new magical girls take a look at that data. 6* He whispers to Lemon, glancing around at how much smaller it is in here.
<DeathStar> <Lemon> You could but I am not sure they would know what to do with data. *she admits.* I am sure Adeline and Kane are looking over it
<Gabby> Angela> "Need help later Zeph?"
<DeathStar> *As they step in, they find Hamilton, along with Hale and Peter in the office*

<Sathen> *Rea waits in the hallway so as to not crowd them*
<DeathStar> <Senator Hamilton> It will take some time. Apparently some people were retiring and spots opened up, and we are only three people. <Lemon> What commmitee are you on?

<Gabby> * Peter rubs the back of his head.

<DeathStar> *it shows the plans for the super prison that President Dias is building, to go offical in 4 months time for the biggest of the baddest super villains* So far this is being kept secret until it gets approval by the Senators. There's rumors that two people have escaped and you will be asked to bring in one of them.

<DeathStar> <Senator Hamilton> That we don't have the clearance for
<Xanatos> 6* Marcus hands the paper to Lemon.
<Gabby> Angela> Well, we were just tasked to bring in someone.
<ChadWinters> I see what you mean about the political land mine.
<Xanatos> 6* Marcus slowly turns his head to peer at Angela.
<DeathStar> *Lemon looks at it* <Senator Hamilton> Well, if you fail to find that person, it might go poorly for you. But if you can find the person, you might be freed from your constant watchdog state by Denham.

<Gabby> * Angela sighs, since what she said literally meant nothing until people stared at her like she gave a grail away. To people who already knew exactly that information.

<Gabby> * Angela steps out to go, looking just a bit ticked off.

<DeathStar> 6* Lemon sits down to work on Stacey more, while Zephyr leans back in her seat. Darien leans against a desk while he listens to what all they learned. Adeline has snuck back in, working on the files sent to her

<Gabby> * Tabetha rubs her temple gently and goes over the data.
* ChadWinters sits in his seat, glancing over the data that was sent on his datapad. He points at Adeline. 1"Burn."

<DeathStar> <Adeline> Normally you are much more upbeat and talkative, picking people up. So what has angered you

<DeathStar> *Adeline sends Marcus her findings*
<Xanatos> <Marcus> OH that was me. If it's a serious issue we can talk about it later. Right? 6* He says, glancing to Angela.

<Xanatos> 6* Marcus looks back to the screen, pulling upt he data.
<ChadWinters> So how do you plan on insulating us against Denham, Marcus?
<Gabby> Angela> *she nods* I'll get over it.
<Gabby> Angela> "Just been a weary few days for me on the emotion scale."
<Xanatos> <Marcus> We should talk about that later.
<Xanatos> <Marcus> Seriously. 6* He glances back to Angela again, a slight look of concern before he looks back to the data.
* ChadWinters glances up at the screen, to look at the data

<Xanatos> 6* Marcus pull up some old data, looking for a specific case file.
<ChadWinters> Zephyr, you mentioned some things you wanted to ask about.
<DeathStar> *the old data shows files when Darien led the team briefly before he was shot, it lists around 13 of them*
<Xanatos> <Marcus> You know, I was thinking it might've been a maka that grabbed him. But oh well.
<Xanatos> <Marcus> Say Darien, how much do you remember before... 6* He makes a gun with his hand and holds it up to his head then mimes blood splurting out the other side.
<DeathStar> <Zephyr> The people I want to question aren't here
<DeathStar> <Zephyr> I'll send a communication to them later

<Gabby> Angela> "Anything I can help with sis?"

<ChadWinters> Fair enough. 6He nods to her. 1"If he's evil enough, it could fit. Thinking maybe Smiles new friend rescued him?
<Gabby> * Tabetha muses. "Flashes of light did make me consider Maka. Also Progenitor but there aren't very many of them left to seriously consider. Some personalized teleporters flash brightly as well."

<Xanatos> 6* Marcus motions him to come over to himself, pulling up the case file Adeline sent him.

<Xanatos> <Marcus> Something similar from 3 years ago, that X, Kitty, and Lorelei faced. Led by you, Darien.
<DeathStar> *Darien eyes the screen*

<DeathStar> <Darien> The missions I led during that brief time are a blur really, it was just a few missions here and there before I was shot

<Xanatos> <Marcus> I'll send the info to X to see if she remembers anything. SHe's lead here so she should have access to all this data. 6* He begins typing up the message.

<ChadWinters> Do we press him with the knowledge of what we learned from the two senators?
<Xanatos> <Marcus> No, of course not. That would tip them that we know things that we shouldn't.
<ChadWinters> Just want to make sure we're all on the same page.

<DeathStar> *Darien heads along this time, while Zephyr decides to stay, lest she talk about what a sweet boy he was*

<DeathStar> 6* As they arrive, Stacey greets them. She smiles, checking Marcus over and shakes her head

<Xanatos> <Marcus> What? Really? 6* He spins as he tries to look at his whole self.
* ChadWinters lets out an audible groan at the two
<Gabby> * Angela rubs the bridge of her nose.
<Xanatos> <Marcus> ...I really haven't been lifting as much as I used too. Anyway, it's good to see you. How's the ole Prez?
<DeathStar> <Stacey> A little worried about something
<DeathStar> <Stacey> But he's hiding it well
<ChadWinters> Well, he is the President, it wouldn't be beyond reason for him to be worried
<Xanatos> <Marcus> Worried about something? His monster arena sales not adding up?
<Gabby> Angela> Did he get caught at a club again?

<Gabby> * Angela walks along after Marcus. She generally seems cheery again, though nothing has been resolved.
<DeathStar> *as they enter, they would find Dias' office area very neat and organized, except one corner that is extremely messy with training equipment, strange odds and ends, like a wolf toy, a poster of Marcus that looks like it has things done to it; on his desk is a plushie that has been wrangled; it might have been a wolf plushie once with Marcus' head. Likely used to crush and mangled when frustrated, like one of this squeeze balls. There's a tape with battles playing called GREATEST HITS showing Dias battling stuff on it*

<DeathStar> *Dias is at his desk, in a suit, doing work, all proper like otherwise*
<Xanatos> 6* Marcus slowly eyes the poster of himself.
<Xanatos> 6* Marcus then slowly eyes the other damaged things related to him.
<Gabby> Angela> "No wonder you don't seem to return the girl's interests. You two are practically married at this point." *she teases*
* ChadWinters looks at Marcus, then the wolf related things, then Marcus. He leans towards him. 1"You might wanna sleep with a light on."
<DeathStar> <Dias> Marcus!! *he leaps up and bro hugs him, lifting him up*

<Xanatos> <Marcus> You pissed at me, buddy? That's a lot of stuff of me that's damaged.

<DeathStar> <Dias> *lets him go, then sticks his hand out* Picture an epic battle with us. Then. *he kicks the poster and punches it, the poster balled up even more, as if in pain* But Stacey says I need to focus until the next tournament. *he sits back down*
<Sathen> *Rea looks around the office before moving to sit quietly*
<Xanatos> <Marcus> How's everything been going? Seems like you've been working hard.
<ChadWinters> Based on the news, Marcus is right.
<DeathStar> <Dias> *scrunches his face up* It is a tough battle, Marcus, but one I will win. *he flexes*
<DeathStar> *Lemon looks dizzy and just watches for now. Darien meanwhile pokes around the office for bodies*

* ChadWinters glances at Darien. 1"I'd becareful what you touch."
<DeathStar> *Dias pauses, then nods slowly, grabbing a huge stack of paperwork and drops it in Marcus' lap* Sign these in my signature. *of course Dias' signature is weird and hard to mimic*
<DeathStar> *Dias then sits and resumes signing other papers*
* ChadWinters slowly looks over at Marcus. 1"You asked for it." 6He laughs a bit
<Gabby> Angela> Why not make a stamp with your signature on it?
<DeathStar> *Dias pauses slowly, as if Angela's words are rattling around in his head slowly*
<Xanatos> 6* Marcus eyes the papers and then nods.
<Xanatos> <Marcus> Angela's right, then you would just have to stamp these pages instead of signing them.
<DeathStar> <Dias> That is cheating. *he holds up his fists* These are the only weapons you use to do battle.

<Gabby> Angela> "You can use your fists to hold the stamp though?"

<Xanatos> <Marcus> Well it would be cheating if I signed them too, then. 6* He places the papers on the desk.
<Sathen> Rea> Yet in a fight to the death there are no holds barred; paperwork has been the death of many politicians...or so I've heard.

<ChadWinters> I imagine Kaleb and X visit him enough to keep him occupied.
<Xanatos> 6* Marcus does a dramatic wink and pockets the card.
<DeathStar> <Dias> Tell X she owes me a battle in the parking lot still. And Kaleb.
<DeathStar> *he speaks up*

<Gabby> * Angela peers around again, then sets a tray from her subspace on Stacey's desk. Brownies.
<DeathStar> *Stacey blinks, then smiles*

<Gabby> Angela> More than that. I remember once we dealt with someone under heavy mental conditioning slowly breaking down unable to keep it going.

* ChadWinters looks over at Marcus. 1"You're his BFF." 6He muses a bit. 1"It's not uncommon for stress to build in certain ways. He may see you as someone he can release that stress out on, knowing you can take it."

<Xanatos> 6* Marcus snaps his fingers at Darien and pulls out the card to read it.
<Gabby> Angela> I tweaked him with common sense suggestions to some issues. He visibly paused in a way that came off as someone trying to think what the person they were pretending to be would say or do. Like... time delay.

<Xanatos> 6* Marcus flips the card over to show Darien.

<Xanatos> <Marcus> I mean, fighting ninjas would be fun.
<Gabby> Angela> Anyway, those are my observations, not conclusions. He wasn't just off, he was unstable. We already know something is wrong, but he just screams it. *she sighs and takes a seat*

<DeathStar> <Darien> Been a while since we asked for a counselor. But which Kat should we ask. Katrina or Katherine?
<Gabby> Angela> "I was under the impression Katrina was retired..."
<Xanatos> <Marcus> I KNOW Dias. The reason I've been avoiding him is he's felt off for a long time now.
<Xanatos> <Marcus> ...can we not bring my ex-wife into this? I'm only just now sorta getting over losing her.
<DeathStar> <Darien> Well, Katrina has more years experience. I am not sure Katherine is even a counselor
<ChadWinters> You gonna let a hang up like that keep you from insight on your BFF?
<Gabby> Angela> "That too, Marcus' harem-anime life gets any more complicated we're going to need a flow chart."

<Gabby> Angela> He's been able to summon a dark side of himself, we called Darkheart. The "President" recently showed something LIKE it that WASN'T Darkheart and I thought he was showng use of that old power.

* ChadWinters glances at Angela now.
<Gabby> Angela> But what we know now, it could just as likely be Dark One presence.
<Xanatos> <Marcus> Wait, when was this?

<ChadWinters> I think you're mixing memories up.
<Gabby> Angela> "No... I know I saw it... it was the last time I saw him fight..."
<Gabby> Angela> "Was that at the tree?"

<ChadWinters> If anyone would now Dias' Weapon ability the most, it would be Kaleb honestly. He spent 30 plus years training with him.
<Sathen> Rea> I can test our friend in the mask then.
<Gabby> Angela> "All of this started just AFTER Yggdrassil. Didn't it? We were constantly seperated and put back together back then."
<DeathStar> <Darien> A few reasons. One, Dias didn't start acting odd you all said until during this year and a half time period. It's why we looked over the footage
<ChadWinters> I only have some records of if it, based on data I gathered when I found him and have recorded over the years. The bigger kicker is, this isn't technically our Dias. It's the one that came out of Pandora's Box so it's hard to say how similiar his abilities truely are
<Gabby> * ANgela nods. "Fine... but I'm keeping it mind for now. He even told me it "wasn't quite" Darkheart. Offhandledly when I asked him."
<Xanatos> <Marcus> Fuck this is a headache. I'm going to take a walk. 6* He turns and walks off.
* ChadWinters glances to Angela. 1"If you recall, him and Marcus were freed of those 'curses'
<Gabby> Angela> "Yeah... so... if they were, how was he still using that?"
<Xanatos> <Marcus> That's why it wasn't the same. It was latent energy just like how I had some access to wolf stuff without going hairy. 6* He yells out, then rounds a corner.
<ChadWinters> I have theories, but Kaleb would have to confirm it.
<Gabby> * Angela nods. "Okay... fine..." *she rubs her head* "Let me know if you think of anything solid... maybe I'm just stressed." *she moves to walk out too*
