<DeathStar> <Taiga> Each of the ten houses will hold a tournament a few days apart, and it will wrap up in the final tournament in the 10th house
<Seraphna> Si> So we find a house, dominate and win the tourney?
<DeathStar> <Taiga> I guess the lower houses compete for prestige against the other houses by winning, since they gather fighters to compete in the tournaments. So they throw money at fighters to join their houses and after the 10 tournaments, the fighters in the winning house are given land, businesses, an fame
<Xanatos`> <Pepper> Or split up and take a couple houses to increase our chances.
<Sathen> Jelly> Question is, what are the rules for the fights themselves?
<Xanatos`> <Pepper. That's the royal 'we', I'm not equipped for one on one fights.
<Seraphna> Si> Technically if we all fight in one house we have a greater chance of winning that house, thus getting us in the final round, but either way, I'm up for it! *she punches her palm, some flames sparking*
<DeathStar> <Taiga> However, you can go independent but few do since going with a house gives you better options

<DeathStar> <Taiga> As for the tournament, there's no real fighting. The collars simulate damage. So that allows all sorts of warriors of all kinds to compete. The collars estimate the damage taken and then that body part can no longer operate
<Sara> <Chris> Well, either way it's clear that you can sign up as homeless.
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Say the blow broke your arm, the collar restricts your arm from moving
<Sara> * Kaori hugs on Hess for a moment, glad that she seems to be feeling better
<Jackieness> <Moira> "So are these melee fights or what?"

<DeathStar> <Taiga> It will allow any type of warrior to fight, so you might could end up fighting someone like Sabrina against a sword user
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Apparently it does not matter. The collars give a base amount of life and durability
<Sathen> Orihime> Likely we could just go and present ourselves to a house and inquire about representing them in the tournament/
<DeathStar> <Taiga> If you keep going up each round, you get more life and durability

<DeathStar> <Taiga> Oh, by rounds I mean each tournament you get more durability and health. 4 rounds per tournament to beat your opponent

<Jackieness> <Moira> "Depends on your speed. If you can close fast enough, then a range fighter is at a disadvantage."

<DeathStar> <Taiga> If you can't do it by then judges decide. You get a little health back between each of the 4 rounds
<DeathStar> <Taiga> So basically 4 rounds per touranment, each round health is restored. Then next tournament you get more health and durability
<Sathen> Orihime> Sounds like it could be a little bit fun.
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Lets see... as for houses...

<DeathStar> *and each of the other 9 Houses have been given their own areas on his land while this is going on. Taiga eyes her datapad trying to see if she can pick up shapeshifter signals*

<Seraphna> Si> For one, the enemy never sees it coming, and underestimates your power in the first few rounds.
<Seraphna> Si> For another, it helps show that even the weakest can become mighty! *superhero stance*
<DeathStar> *there is an area nearby for betting and people are already eyeing fighters being logged. Valen and the others appeared under Shiva's house and Shiva's house is being bet on*

<ChadWinters> 6Cel sits down with the others now that it's started. 1"Nothing seemed odd. Some houses appear to have gone all in in trying to recruit their fighters
<DeathStar> *the battle begins and the gun user opens up by firing blast shots at the magic user, their health steadily dropping on the bar and one shot even does damage to the chest, making it difficult to breathe, but they manage to finish their spell. By now the 10 house leaders are out, up top and watching, though various ones are bored watching. Asmodeus leans in, since the magi is his fighting and the gun user is one of the other houses. The fire spell bursts and the gun user is engulfed - their HP dropping rapidly to 0 and burn damage pops up*

<Seraphna> Cookie> Considering who all is among Lore's kids, they probably knew. Shiva prides herself on her intelligence network, if I recall.
<DeathStar> *the collar glows and is likely calculating if the shield can stand up to the hammer - three seconds pass and it begins to crack. And will shatter in 2 seconds*

<Xanatos`> 6* Valen shifts around onto his knee, slashing out with his sword
<DeathStar> *the giant roars and 10 HP is chipped off. He turns and swings at Valen*

<Xanatos`> 6* Valen jumps back as far as he can, leaning back almost in a limbo, falling onto his ass.
<DeathStar> *The dashes and swings, golfballing Valen out of the ring and doing 30 HP damage. The countdown to get back in begins*

<DeathStar> *The giant man snarls, losing 20 HP damage and stumbles, down losing 30 HP over all too. Both fighters are at 20 HP left. The giant, tilted forward, using his hand against the floor of the tournament to steady himself*
<ChadWinters> 6Cel peers over at all the House members that are sitting in their areas, studying each one
<DeathStar> *The shadowdy figure that must be Loki is leaning forward watching, Asmodeus is bored, and the others are eyeing Valen with bored interest - likely thinking he will lose*
<Xanatos`> 6* Valen reaches out to snatch his shield out of the air as he slides by and it recoils off the man. His breathing is heavy but his smirks.
<DeathStar> *the giant man turns and his hammer begins to glow with fire*
<DeathStar> <Giant Man> .... *he rears back and mimics Valen's move and throws the hammer*
<Xanatos`> 6* Valen uses an ability refresh on his shield fancy and slams his shield down, it grows large and wide. Then he turns and dashes around to the right to flank around the throw, tyring to get in for another slash.
<DeathStar> *The giant makes an outraged cry getting more damaged as the throwed attack hits the shield, his boomerang attack failing nad hitting the ground. He pauses and has to run to get it*

<DeathStar> *well more stop kind a fast*
<Xanatos`> 6* Valen does something risky and throws his sword after him, for his back as his runs for his hammer.
<DeathStar> *down. Valen wins*
<DeathStar> *a few of the houses take notice*
<Xanatos`> 6* Valen lets out a huff and moves to get his stuff, before pausing to check on the other figher.
<DeathStar> *Valen's HP is restored and the timer on the clock has 30 seconds left on this round, so Valen and the giant never even went into round 2 on this fight. The giant pushes up, snarling at Valen, but he simply nods at him, acceptint defeat and moves off*

<Xanatos`> 6* Valen looks awkward and then thumbs up to the crowd before running off.

<DeathStar> *Sabrina eyes her and tries to see if it is Zayne. The battle begins and the magic gun forms and she on shots the sword user and drops their HP to 0, walking off*

<DeathStar> *then he throws the xvash into the air oddly and moves into hand to hand combat, his leg sweep lightning fast, trying to unbalance her
<Jackieness> <Moira> *moves her feet, backing off and to the side as she slashes her blade down at the kicking leg*

<DeathStar> *HP drops by 10. The Tsivrixsh moves to the side and forward, kicking, angling her*
<Jackieness> <Moira> *keeps moving back and to the side, drawing her defense in an expanding circular motion*
<DeathStar> *he then back flips and grabs his weapon, holding it, stance again*
<DeathStar> <Taiga> I never seen such a cautious battle
<Jackieness> <Moira> *steps back into her ready stance* "I admire your offense." *then steps forward suddenly, blade aimed at his wrists as she attacks*
<ChadWinters> <Cel> Tsiv are strong opponents. It's expected
<DeathStar> *he steps forward to meet her stepping, taking a hit another 10 HP not quite at the wrist but takes it, and slices her slightly for 5 HP damage with the xvash, stepping back*
<Jackieness> <Moira> *steps forward to press her attack, spinng to the side and then going low to try to slash at his ankles*
<DeathStar> <Lorelei> *covers eyes*
<DeathStar> *Moira's status is listed as poison and her HP begin to drop rapidly*
<DeathStar> *The Tsivrixsh leaps to barely avoid and roll, back to her though*
<Jackieness> <Moira> *shifts stance, activating Kenjutsu and moves in with a strong attack to try to end this quickly*
<DeathStar> *while the bleed damage fails on the roll, she hits with 14, which in these rules is more like 24. So hold on real quick. He's taken 20 so far I think)
<DeathStar> *The Tsivrixsh stumbles and his arm is no longer working due the collar*
<DeathStar> <Tsivrixsh> You are strong. *his HP has dropped to 6 left*
<DeathStar> <Tsivrixsh> Some warriors would avoid you until your HP runs out. But I will stop you myself
<DeathStar> *Tsivrixsh lifts it with his other hand and moves in*
<Jackieness> <Moira> "Then you are a true warrior." *moves back into her ready stance and then darts forward to meet him, slashing out with her blade*
<DeathStar> *he attempts to block her with his xvash, but the dice rolls says he fails and Moira stops him, her HP at 40. He drops and she is declared the winner*
<DeathStar> *after that, all the others win their first round*
<DeathStar> *And the Asmodeus tournament will continue later in the day in the next session as a brief break is declared*
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Well, I guess this will give us time to poke around and spy
<DeathStar> <Lorelei> And hopefully the kids can do the same thing
