<DeathStar> <Gwen> It seems the guy is under the impression some ancestor of Qui's agreed to help them overthrow the false leadership and Qui is asking questions and stalling, learning more. After all, we're all under the same Alliance.

<ChadWinters> <SPoC> That could lead to chaos and instability.
<Seraphna> Alita> Not to mention that false leadership has probably been cycled out for hundreds if not thousands of years now.

<Seraphna> Alita> So to put it on the current Legion is a tad irrational.

<Xanatos> <Xan> Really if they want to stake claim on the Legion they should do so, but by rallying followers within the Legion itself.

<Seraphna> Alita> I swear sometimes more troubles occur because everyone wants to play secret keeper than they would if everyone were just open and up front. Our unit has failed twice due to that bad habit.
<DeathStar> <Celes> I believe Qui and I have both made it clear we cannot help them in taking back the kingdom but that also might means we will lose sight of the descendants and the bloodlines. *she frowns* I just hope they are not important because if they get themselves killed...

<ChadWinters> <SPoC> I think history has taught us that they would do it easily if they cannot be used successfully as pawns
<Seraphna> Alita> Rather than suspect every person we come across of holding a knife in the dark. If the bloodline established itself as a house and ran on a campaign of thier heritage they might have a very sporting chance.

<Seraphna> Alita> Well it's not exactly and easy thing I propose, but it's a damn sight easier than a small village trying to combat the Legion army.
<Seraphna> Alita> It will just take time and patience... if they've waited this long, that should be easy.
<ChadWinters> <SPoC> Ultimately it would depend on how the people feel about history and bloodlines. If they do not care, then they wont' be able to win them over.

<Seraphna> Alita> And if they do not, we should probably not be worrying so much about assassins. But this is a lot of what ifs, instead of giving them a path to persue that won't get them killed.
<ChadWinters> <SPoC> I imagine the only path currently would be to not go after reclaiming the legion.
<Seraphna> Alita> And they'll accept that?

<DeathStar> <Celes> I think they have waited a long time for this. At least the father is tired of waiting and his people will follow him
<DeathStar> <Celes> But it will take time for them to do anything, I think
<Seraphna> Alita> So we let them go to the slaughter due to impatience.
<ChadWinters> <SPoC> Then would it be possible to convince the Alliance or the other Nations to back them as rightful rulers?
<Seraphna> Alita> Not without causing the Legion to withdraw I think.
<Jackieness> <Lana> "I mean... like... one tiny village... versus the whole Legion? Do, like, the math."
<Seraphna> Alita> Which would have incredible reprecussions seeing as they've embraced the Empress the hardest.
<ChadWinters> <SPoC> If they go through the other nations or the Alliance it'll increase their odds of not being killed.
<DeathStar> <Celes> *muses* Alita is right. This is how typically succession goes in the Legion - and I can be ocorrected
<DeathStar> <Celes> The previous Kaiser chooses one of his sons.
<DeathStar> <Celes> Or, if the father is too ill or not mentally fit, one of the sons can challenge him. Or if both sons bid, then it becomes a war of some sorts to see who is more fit. The Senate can vote on which son
<Seraphna> * Alita's eyes go wide for a moment as if considering and seeing a brand new angle.
<DeathStar> <Celes> I believe that is how it is done in the past.
<Seraphna> Alita> There's a third option. But... we need to talk to the villagers, especially the father.
<Seraphna> Alita> Ultimately... yes... it could be the single most peaceful option possible.
<Seraphna> * Alita starts to grin wide.
<DeathStar> *Celes bows her head and rises and motions at where the villages are staying * They are that way
<Seraphna> * Alita rises and nods, beginning to make her way there.

<Seraphna> **Alita makes her way over, smiling and waving to Salamander, Jaime moving that way too.
<Seraphna> Alita> I think I have a solution which could work to the advantage of all.

<Seraphna> * Alita smiles and curtsies, then looks at them both. "A war of succession is bloody, and an attempt to unseat the current Kaiser would take time, and I'll admit, I am somewhat biased in this area."
<Seraphna> * Alita looks to the 20 something woman, "May I ask dear, are you married?"

<Seraphna> Alita> She is? Or you? *she tilts her head at him answering for her*

<Seraphna> Alita> I'm a healer, and my first thought is always to the method of healing old wounds, not reopening them.
<Seraphna> Alita> Your bloodline chose to leave rather than engage in a war of succession. Starting one now won't bring back the fallen, only create more.
<DeathStar> <Agni> Ardea... They are ignorant of our ways. *he turns to the others* We would not marry one of them even to save ourselves. After they killed our ancestor and learned his wife was with child, they tried to hunt her down and bash her brains in to be thorough.

<ChadWinters> <SPoC> May I ask what you're plans are moving forward? 6She steps forward slightly
<DeathStar> <Agni> And they likely did not forget it either after all the wars that followed
<Seraphna> Alita> But why lean towards another war?

<DeathStar> *Agni muses* We will leave this area and head towards home. From there I will decide what to do.
<Xanatos> <Xan> If someone murdered your entire family, Alita, you would forgive so easily as you're suggesting?

<Seraphna> * Alita looks at Xan sadly. "I wouldn't seek more death in response. That's simply what I am."

<DeathStar> <Erevis> Hm. Good for you. But asking your children to marry one of murderer's family is a bridge for them

<Seraphna> Alita> "But... please, try and consider a bloodless path?"
<DeathStar> *Erevis muses* She is harder than me. This planet is not a concern for her other than the stability of the tree near it
<DeathStar> <Erevis> She might not care as long as things were wrapped up
<Seraphna> * Jaime sighs softly and frowns, biting her lower lip.

<ChadWinters> <SPoC> So it would be impossible to leverage her into making the Legion stand down if the Fire descendents claimed the throne. 6She muses slightly. 1"Then perhaps letting the Alliance know or spreading out the news of it will keep them alive.
<Seraphna> Alita> Perhaps I should... I need to at least fully apologize to them.

<Seraphna> Alita> Maybe I can at least convince my cousin to withhold hostilities with them.

<ChadWinters> <SPoC> I imagine the Kaiser would not want knowledge of the descendent getting out quickly and verified. It could be used as leverage against him if need be.

<DeathStar> 6* The snow makes the travel slower and it seems as if 4 different times it will crash. Soon the giant volcano appears and things warm up a little and the snow clears
<DeathStar> <Celes> With these conditions unless they use Salamander I doubt the villagers will travel fast and I can't see Salamander betraying the Legion - unless the Ancient blood means something

<Seraphna> * Jaime has fallen asleep and is leaned up against Xan's arm, snoozing.

<DeathStar> *the carriage lands in the capital and pulls up in the noble area, near the giant palace on top of the mountain*

<Seraphna> Jaime> It is a bit like walking around in San Francisco with the heat.

<DeathStar> *they soon reach an area that has less tech and a gardenish - well once, the snow up here can be seen, despite the heat of the volcano far away*
<DeathStar> *the snow is all over the grounds and palace, making it look nice and snowy and the maid passes the Legion guards, opening the doors for them into a beautiful marble area*
