<DeathStar> *Alita, somehow with the dice rolls, manages to identify it is a very old plague that should not exist and does not really have a cure/prevention method that is known. If the water is bad, Gwen might be fucked. It is from many many thousands of years ago, a strange disease that seemed to come and go*

<Seraphna> Alita> This is an ancient plague that should not exist.... there is no known treatment as far as I can tell and... avoid the water.

<DeathStar> *it seems to go by many names - the Unnatural Death, due to how fast it goes, the Twisted Death, the Black Death, a few others, due to how the body looks*

<DeathStar> *SpoC's datapad catalogues it but it comes up with somethings in it, recording them for this world into the datapad - definitely no Earth viruses or germs in it. There are stuff in it, could be bad, could be good. With this world, who knows*

But that does not mean that there are not things in nature that could not get me. Like a monster's effects. *she holds up fingers* Certain drugs have been known to effect me, if they are strong enough

<Xanatos> 6* Drasek muses and then sighs, moving towards the entrance, he glances at the wall to see if he could leap over it in energy form just in case opening it releases a puff of contaminated air or something.

<DeathStar> *Aska studies Drasek, then moves to the others* What is going on? *she asks, brisk as ever, peering at Liana and Celes, then Selena*

<DeathStar> *Aska pauses* Old plague? Many are old to me. *she peers at Alita, since she is the smart one*

<DeathStar> *Aska muses - Drasek would also notice a large gate he could likely force/break open too*
<DeathStar> <Aska> It sounds like a devastating plague that popped up off and on many many thousands of years ago. It hit many races other than Daemons. So the Daemons were often blamed for creating it/spreading it
<Xanatos> 6* Drasek's skin and clothes melt away as he focuses on reverting to his energy form, he attempts to use his hyperspace speed to run up and over the wall like the flash would, though to most of their eyes it would just look like he teleported.
<Xanatos> <Xan> You all know the Queen of the Daemons don't you, should we reach out and ask her to look for more information?
<DeathStar> <Aska> It can be spread by water, bodily fluids, bite - I believe, and coughing. What made it confounding to the people of the world was that it adapted at times being magical, other times being spread through simple means like a cold might, other times by monsters
<DeathStar> <Aska> It was theorized it would keep evolving to hit every species, even the Daemons, and from there even Spirits eventually
<DeathStar> <Aska> But then it just vanished
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Ahhh?" *looks back at the others* "That sounds more like a bioweapon thany anything natural."
<Seraphna> Alita> Well it appears to be back.
<Sara> <Liana> Nothing ever truly 'just vanishes' forever after all.
<Xanatos> <Xan> Lana's right, we've dealt with things like this in the past but they were man made. Developed to adapt and destroy. I wonder if this plague is a natural form of that... 6* He muses on that.
<DeathStar> <Aska> Perhaps - it is possible it could have been made in the war long ago. But if so the only purpose would have been to annihilate all of us I believe. And the Ancients had the most technology back then. This plague I believe appeared many. many years later. It could have been a magik or a creation in a lab that went awry
<Xanatos> <Xan> Freezing them often slows or suspends down any sort of bioweapon like this, it's why they're usually kept in cold storage, if we could get a sample we could try to render it inert with temprature.
<ChadWinters> 6SPoC looks over at Durran and Erevis. 1"Perhaps nano-tech based?

<DeathStar> *Celes tilts her head at nano-tech* That sounds like Kumen talk
<Xanatos> <Xan> Small robots designed to do certain things. I have them flowing through my blood.

<Xanatos> <Xan> Like a bunch of BIX's traveling around healing me and making me...not die.
<DeathStar> *Celes keeps eyeing it, as if trying to see them*

<DeathStar> <Aska> The virus is always hard to tell when it is incubating, which makes it hard to pin down
<DeathStar> *Selena and Erevis, along with Celes putting a hand on Liana's butt get close to Aska. Sylph moves close with Ellie and Fae*

<Xanatos> 6* Xan places his head on Erevis' shoulder and smiles.

<DeathStar> *they warp and soon appear in the freezing cold on a mountain top, snow blowing by*

<Xanatos> <Xan> Ooooh whoa, cold cold cold. 6* He pulls his coat tight, zipping it up.
<DeathStar> <Aska> Well, this area did not always used to be so cold. It has gotten colder and colder
<DeathStar> *Aska motions at the remains of a village. Not too far away from the main Magi Village*
<ChadWinters> <SPoC> Naturally? She taps her suit, it warming up as she squints a bit
<Sara> <Liana> Well, it certainly is cold now. *she hands her daughter an extra cloak*
<DeathStar> <Aska> I do not know. There were no spirits here really at first to maintain the area.
<Seraphna> * Jaime shivers and Alita pulls a cloak about herself
<Jackieness> <Lana> "L... let's look at the ruins..."
<ChadWinters> <SPoC> I only ask, in case someone did something here to prevent the spread of it.
<Xanatos> 6* Xan moves towards the remains of the village, squinting with the wind.
<DeathStar> <Aska> Those that did survive here left and spread out, either to the Magi village or to the Spiritialist, or even to warmer areas. *they move to the ruins, which barely anything remains. The building are in disarray here and there is in the remains of a large building here, not as big as the Magi Tower but somewhat impressive, with many walls missing and snow and ice inside now*

<Sara> * Ellie is keeping Fae warm as they move along
<DeathStar> *Selena moves inside the large building for shelter as Aska puts up barriers to keep them warm*

<DeathStar> <Celes> Even if it is cold in the main land this place.... ... this place in winter is crazy

<Xanatos> 6* Xan moves around, using his eye to scan for any traces, but also using his datapad since it's likely more accurate.

<DeathStar> *Erevis and Celes look over at the remains, and peers upstairs. There are no real traces left. Lana looks at a frozen hatch on the ground, needing heat to open it*
<DeathStar> <Celes> I-If I had to guess, either a version of the Magi Tower, or a proto-type...

<DeathStar> *the hatch begins to melt - which is a good thing since Jaime seems to be put on hold if that is possible. Probably Salamander thinks Jaime wants her to be a taxi again. That's the bad thing about using Spirits that much*
<Sara> <Ellie> I think that sounds more like praise of the coat than praise of me...

<DeathStar> *The hatch finally is freed and needs to be lifted*

<DeathStar> *it begins to lift slowly - it seems to weigh a ton.. Gwen moves to help, too*
<Xanatos> 6* Xan grunts and pulls it open with SPoC and now Gwen's help.
<DeathStar> <Gwen> ..... Hah.... I can do it. *they throw it open and it shakes the ground with a massive thud. Down below are stairs winding down*

<ChadWinters> 6SPoC winces a bit when it drops. 1"That was far heavier then I expected.
<Xanatos> 6* Xan pulls out a flashlight and moves down the steps.
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Maybe they used magic to move it."
<Jackieness> <Lana> *starts down the steps*
<Sara> <Liana> Or they were all as strong as grandpa... *she jokes*

<ChadWinters> 6SPoC grabs her flashlight and flicks it on, putting it in her mouth before heading down
<Seraphna> * Jaime heads down with her fire lady and Alita with her flaming staff
<DeathStar> *as they go down, they soon reach what looks like an underground lab - an ancient one that looks like it has very old equipment, with magik barriers weakening and strange substances floating inside it, strange creatures inside, and other stuff. The equipment looks old and broken, frozen and other stuff. There even looks like some of Familiarish creature in a magic barrier floating - like the magi here were trying to create their own type of Familiars, their hair color not blue.*
<DeathStar> *Aska muses* I sense trace amounts down here, so becareful
<DeathStar> <Aska> *she tells them how to detect it with their equipment
<Xanatos> 6* Xan blinks as he adjusts his scanner to detect it and slowly begins to scan the room.
<Sara> <Ellie> Ugh, I feel sorry for these creatures
<ChadWinters> <SPoC> This looks more like a laboratory. 6She flashers her light around at the fluids
<Jackieness> <Lana> "...alright... so try to narrow it down. if the concentrations are strongest in the equipment, then it may have been made here."
<DeathStar> *it seems to be very faint in the air and all over, some in the barriers, barely held back, other in the broken equipment*
<ChadWinters> <SPoC> I'm wondering that Lana. It's possible something they created here, created it as a by-product
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Also possible!"
<DeathStar> *Sylph peers at one creature* Hm, you know that one looks a little familiar. *to Ellie*
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Don't try releasing them. We don't know what was going on here."
<Sara> * Ellie looks at Sylph, blinks, then looks at the one Sylph is looking at
<Seraphna> * Alita peers around carefully. Talia paws towards things.
<ChadWinters> 6SPoC continues looking for, for either notes or books.

<DeathStar> *it's the familiarish creature with purpleish hair, though it looks a bit strange, like it has a strange forehead and not quite right* Though the one I saw looked like a normal familiar, it had purple hair. It was with... Athena's sister who was here briefly
<Xanatos> <Xan> I know my half brother is one, but scientists cause us trouble more than any other type of person.
<DeathStar> *Gwen looks creeped out* <Selena> I have two dumb questions to the scientists
<DeathStar> *Celes looks grim, walking around*

<Sara> * Ellie frowns, also having a grim look on her face

<ChadWinters> <SPoC> I unfortunately was never trained in scientific areas. Murder and survival was more my forte.
<Seraphna> Jaime> She meant Athena’s daughter.
<DeathStar> <Sylph> I just saw her briefly since Ellie teaches at the school. I think Bonnie was stalking them. Chelsea might be the one to ask if we were still at the Academy. Maybe once we are back and Ellie is teaching again

<DeathStar> <Selena> Aska said the virus mutates, right? This is an old virus, so will this really help us with the current one. And second, these barriers look really weak. What happens when they break. Will these creatures, if they are alive, wake up and escape?

<Jackieness> <Lana> "I'd say this plague is actually spread by spores... kind of like anthrax. That's why it sticks to everything and survives dormant so long."

<DeathStar> <Selena> Hmm, Project 1 was to create a better familiar - competetion. Their familiar would have been more of a physical fighter that drew magik from their magi not the other way.

Names of the family as they change every now and again, paperwork, etc. On the bottom is a strange weapon that fits on the hands - like gloves that can fit on the claws of a weretiger. They have the same symbols. And on the bottom are ancient diaries and information*
