<DeathStar> 6* The Aquarius has been flying for many many hours and systems are beginning to overheat and the engines are shaking and making a weird sound. Also Mireille isn't responding as often as she should anymore. They are getting closer to the maker on the systems but they are nearing the red on the stress levels on many things and Taiga has left to help the engineers and others

<Seraphna> Cookie> We must have a pretty massive lead on them by now right?
<Sara> <Erica> I don't think we have to keep pushing it.
<Stretch`cell> *Jelly monitors some of the systems but doesn't tweak anything, letting Airym and Gor do stuff like that while he focuses on ways to mask their signature once they exit hyperspace*
<Seraphna> **Si stretches** Ah, getting nice and warm though.
<DeathStar> <Yuki> We could probably back off. We have to have a pretty decent lead. ... I hope. Assuming the person does not have a fast ship

<Sara> <Erica> "Assuming they don't have a fast ship". A lead is a lead, Yu. They'd need to be able to go as fast as we were, for as long, or even faster.

<Sara> * Erica moves over to manually override, frowning uncomfortably
<Stretch`cell> Jelly> Well I have a couple tricks I can put in place to hide us if you want...

<Seraphna> **Cookie checks on Mirelle. <We need to slow down now. You okay sweetie?>
<ChadWinters> <Cel> In theory yes, Erica. But that's if they didn't message ahead to prepare for us.

<DeathStar> *Mireille's vitals are a little wonky, a bit like the ship's. As Erica manually over rides, the ship jerks and begins to do a series of jerks and heads for the hyperspace walls as it slows down and goes back to "normal" hyperspace speed. Yuki leaps for the joystick as the circular tube rises up with Mireille coming out, still nudeish instead of regaining her clothes like normal*
<Stretch`cell> *Jelly glances to Erica* So activate my tricks before we leave hyperspace?

<Sara> * Erica takes Mireille into her arms and tries to get her to a chair

<DeathStar> *Mireille looks a little feverish and seems to be unconscious for now, resting*

<Stretch`cell> *Jelly mutters and moves to change their shield modulation again, this time to effectively absorb any type of sensor frequencies they encounter, allowing them to be effectively invisible to traditional sensor systems*

<DeathStar> *Yuki checks the time table* We are almst there in the next ten minutes

<DeathStar> *Taiga returns, wiping her hands* Even with Airym or Jelly or Gor, I'd predict with Mireille gone and tying so many systems to her, we're down 75% power at a guess

<DeathStar> <Yuki> I wonder if we should try to hide or proceed.
<DeathStar> *she leans forward* I think I see some satalites too.
<Stretch`cell> *Jelly checks the status of the systems he had rerouted before*
<Seraphna> *Cookie muses* If we proceed they will follow our trajectory and find us without a question if we hide there's a chance they pass us by assuming they are still tagging us.
<Jackieness> <Airym> "We could attempt to hide the Aquarius within the mass shadow of one of the moons."
<Sara> <Erica> I suppose we can try to hide on the dark side of one of the moons and see if our pursuer passes by, provided we idle as much of our systems as we can
<DeathStar> *Sabrina is on deck. The shields are attempting to work but are barely functioning and it seems all their systems are sharing power. Shields, scanners, engines are all sharing a reserve energy supply*
<ChadWinters> 6Cel eyes the view port. 1"For being their potential homeworld. There doesn't seem to be signs of it."
<Stretch`cell> Jelly> We're already on minimal systems...
<DeathStar> <Taiga> We need to learn more while we can. Airym, you should be scanning the system.
<Sara> <Erica> Yes, but I'm proposing we get somewhere that physically camoflagues us and idle our engines
<ChadWinters> <Cel> You assume they won't have coverage on those moons.
<DeathStar> *Yuki peers up as Pepper returns*

<Sara> <Erica> Well, it's a theory. Airym will confirm.
<Stretch`cell> *Jelly adjusts the levels of power between the systems, to increase those they're actively using and reduce those that are not needed at the moment*
<Jackieness> <Airym> "Attempting to detect ambient power sources within the locla planetary system
<DeathStar> <Yuki> 4 minutes remaining
<Xanatos> <Pepper> Miri is resting now. We about to fight?
<Xanatos> 6* Pepper moves back to her console.
<ChadWinters> <Cel> If we do any active scans, they'll know we're here potentially. What's the plan?
<Stretch`cell> Jelly> If we're going to move we should do it sooner rather than later.
<Seraphna> Cookie> A lot of these questions are assumed that they are already here or even know we've stopped. The sooner we are under cover the better our chances they pass right by.
<Jackieness> <Airym> "I already gave my reommendation."
<DeathStar> *the scans bring up the system a little better, showing a planet with two moons, and several smaller sized satalites orbitting the planet and the two moons. The planet itself looks earth like with several ravaged/scarred places that have been overtaken by nature again. The main cities on it are few and far between, with there being about 10 major hubs. Smaller cities dot around it, but a best guess would be fraction of the population of Earth live on it.
<DeathStar> *to get more information would require deeper scans that might alert them*
<Sara> <Erica> Let's go to the dark side of the larger of the two moons and hope for the best.
<Seraphna> **Cookie begins moving the ship towards the spot Airym recommends** I guess make with us being invisible.
<Stretch`cell> *Jelly reduces life support to the bare minimum and shunts power to the engine's for now*

<Jackieness> <Airym> "The candidate Cartel homeworld appears to have been ravaged by a conflict and is lightly populated."
<Seraphna> **Cookie nods and stretches out her awareness as she flies carefully**
<Xanatos> <Pepper> Huh, weird looking place, I expected to be blinded by the lights of industry, even all the way up here.
<DeathStar> <Taiga> I am dubious the shield technique will be useful if they have techniques with combining spirit-tech and magic.
<DeathStar> <Yuki> I admit I expected something else too. Not this boring place
<ChadWinters> <Cel> I'm more worried that they'll visually see us if they have any outposts on the moon.
<Jackieness> <Airym> "I did not detect any significant evidence of a lunar presence."
<DeathStar> *as the Aquarius reaches the dark side of the moon a smaller Cartel vessel exits hyperspace*
<DeathStar> *and likely begins to send a transmission*
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Well they know we're here now
<Seraphna> Cookie> Do they...?
<Jackieness> <Airym> "It is also possible that we are seeing an illusion."
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Maybe not this spot
<DeathStar> <Taiga> But whoever chased us will have this area searched to be safe
<Seraphna> Cookie> So what next?
<Xanatos> <Pepper> Can we get eyes on the ship to see what sorta tech they have?
<ChadWinters> <Cel> Taiga's right to lean towards the side of cautious in this.
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Hm, to get eyes on it we'd have to scan it I believe which would be a red flag
<Seraphna> Cookie> Unless we could somehow get a visual another way.
<DeathStar> *Taiga muses* To learn more about the homeworld we'd need either to go down there or to do a deep scan, which might be red flags too. *she peers at Cookie* How so?
<Jackieness> <Airym> "The gravitational effects of massive objects could bend light enough that we could detect a visual from another location."
<Sara> <Erica> Either way, engines on idle. Basically no power to the engines, leave us dead in the water. That'll, at least, lower our footprint.
<Seraphna> Cookie> Any of us that could walk in Vacuum could try and spot from the moon surface... but that's probably a big waste of time, all things considered. I have a feeling you're going to suggest we hide on the planet.
<Sara> <Erica> We'll wait a little and see what happens.
<Seraphna> * Si seems excited.
<Xanatos> <Pepper> Ooh planet hiding, so romantic.
<DeathStar> *Yuki leans back and nods. Taiga works on stuff on Mireille's chamber*
<DeathStar> *as time passes, nothing seems to happen; even the new ship seems to idle there*
<Seraphna> Si> Every time we find a backwater world like this it's always filled with monsters or demons and dragons and fantasy heroes. Soon I will suplex a dragon.

<Jackieness> <Airym> "Perhaps you would have better luck using a shuttle to rach planetside."
<Xanatos> <Pepper> Gotta jump and spin a 360 to give them the full moon.

<DeathStar> <Taiga> So do we plan to wait it out until tomorrow? See if they just keep doing nothing?

<Sara> <Erica> I wouldn't mind -- Mireille could use the rest, assuming nothing happens
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Okay. I'll go talk to the Erusian leader in the meantime.
<ChadWinters> <Cel> Taiga, how big of a fleet would you say Earth has in it's system at any given time to defend it?
<Sara> <Erica> Sure thing.
<Seraphna> Cookie> It's probably the best. If we are going to wait I could possibly use my future sight. It's relatively safe if I can lay down and sleep right after.
<Seraphna> Cookie> With Pepper's permission, of course.
<DeathStar> *Taiga blinks and muses* At Earth? Or any system?
<Xanatos> <Pepper> Hm.
<ChadWinters> <Cel> Earth itself.
<Xanatos> <Pepper> If you get a rest after, then I'll allow it.
<Sara> <Erica> Just Earth? Not like, Sol as a whole?
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Well, Earth has the defense platform system around Earth itself
<Sara> * She confirms with Cel
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Then you have the Moon Base, with it's defenses
<ChadWinters> <Cel> Right. So if this is really their homeworld, don't you think it's odd that there isn't any of that?
<Seraphna> Si> EarthGov's held out against multiple allied fleets in the past when battling over Centerpoint.
<DeathStar> <Taiga> And there's Europa with it's defenses and Pluto I think has a base with outer defenses.
<Xanatos> <Pepper> Maybe they think removing themselves from the star chart was super clever.
<DeathStar> <Taiga> The asteroid field I believe has some mines
<Sara> <Erica> For one, we don't know for sure that there isn't. *she notes, holding up a finger. She then holds up a second finger* Two, it would make it more obvious there's something to protect in the first place.
<DeathStar> <Taiga> As for ships itself can vary depending on time of war.
<Xanatos> <Pepper> But really think about even Kumen now, there's ships going to and from it constantly, so I get what Cel is saying.
<Seraphna> Si> Doesn't Pegasus have that fancy defense grid ever since the Ridarium War?
<Jackieness> <Airym> "Just because it is their homeworld does not necessarily make it their captial world."
<Sara> <Erica> I know some of those words. *she notes as Si talks*

<DeathStar> <Taiga> I'm not sure if that's still up. I'd say there's probably 20-30 ships in the system at any given time.
<Sara> <Erica> Airym's not wrong either, I suppose.

<ChadWinters> <Cel> I'm just saying, it's odd that we've seen only what, satellites and this one ship?
<ChadWinters> <Cel> And Erica's right on both acounts.
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Probably the Cartel do not consider this to be their hub world anymore. I know when Erevis met with them it was not here. But there's secrets here
<Seraphna> * Si muses* A bit odd, unless they consider the secrecy a cloak. Then again if this place had heavy defenses, we'd be dust already.
<DeathStar> <Taiga> I bet you. If we find nothing we can check that hub world again
<Jackieness> <Airym> "Indeed, this system is not on any trade routes, nor does it hold and strategic significance. Its position relative to the whole of Cartel space would make it inefficient as a government center."
<DeathStar> <Taiga> But if it holds power and secrets, the shapeshifters might want it
<Seraphna> Si> Also if it IS important and meant to be secret, housing a fleet here would be a dead giveaway.
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Or it might be a meeting place for the Cartel leaders without being spied on

There's flowers all over and it seems like it's an excuse to go about and have fun. People walk around with drinks in hand and study the booths set up - many look to be set up from people off world and coming here to make some money*
