<DeathStar> 6* The new school year has started a few days ago and life is resuming, and with the cold weather still continuing the monster population has seemed to be slowed, likely due to it, unless it is the cold monsters, which are still on the rise. Celes for her part is at the Academy, going through documents from the castle at their manor, and the students are moving about the school to classes through the snow

<DeathStar> *the daemons move around, doing their purchases in the market area and the streets they seem to be glancing around; not everyone though. Maybe just seem oblivious and doing their every day lives*
<Seraphna> **Alita tilts her head** Maybe, or just something has caused a stir. This city can be both chaotic and ordered at the same time.
<Seraphna> **Alita begins making her way to the palace.**

<DeathStar> <Celes> .... Hm. *she glances around; a few daemons try various ways to get money out of them. One offers Xan a strange eyeball, saying it will give him better sight. The eyeball looks like some sort of Gorgon eyeball*
<Xanatos> 6* Xan glances around as they move, curious to see what sort of place his daughter has been visiting.
<Xanatos> <Xan> Oh no thanks, I'm full up on eyeballs today.
<DeathStar> <Selena> *she eyes the purplish sky, then around; they also pass a place where servants can be purchased, a strange daemon looking at them, perhaps being half Daemon, half monsters*
<Seraphna> **Jaime walks rather comforterably here now, waving away a salesperson**

<DeathStar> *they soon arrive at the huge tower in the center*

<DeathStar> *The guards peer at Ceilia and Alita and bow a little - not full bows, but a little and call down the elevator*

<Seraphna> **Alita shrugs** It's been common in our lands for ages. Many sell themselves into servitude to escape debt, get into a better life, or simply find work.

<DeathStar> <Selena> They have some weird contracts. Where if you buy them, you have to follow rules; like if you hurt them or beat them, they can take a lot of your money and lands. And when you buy them, they are put on your family roster

<Seraphna> **Alita nods** That's often how it works.

<Seraphna> Alita> She does have excellent taste in Daemon forms though. **grins**

<DeathStar> <Guard> There are no known secret passages in the tower. And the basement is just where we keep storage
<Seraphna> Jaime> At the base I can probably feel out for gaps in the stonework.
<Sara> <Liana> If they were known, they wouldn't be much of a secret.
<Seraphna> Alita> Are there maps of the tower, perhaps in the library?
<DeathStar> *The guards take them to the library*

<DeathStar> *by night fall, they have maps of the tower, books and other stuff sprawled out in the library. Selena is in the corner, practicing forms; the tower seems to be very old, built pretty much all at once, and shows the tower - it seems to have no hidden rooms or cracks or crannies unlike the Hapian Palace*
<DeathStar> <Erevis> If the weapon or diaries are in the tower, clearly it is in one or the rooms on this map, which means one would think it would be found by now
<Xanatos> <Xan> Maybe there's some magic stuff hiding it in plain sight?
<DeathStar> <Celes> It seems the tower was built long ago during the many wars and has became over time the de-facto royal tower. Though the Royal family did have a get away vesta in the country side
<DeathStar> <Celes> *she peers at Ceilia and Alita*
<DeathStar> <Celes> Is it likely?
<Seraphna> **Alita nods** This simply is likely not where the ancestor set up their original place of rulership.
<Seraphna> Alita> Which is why Shinobu probably gave us access to the family villa.

<DeathStar> <Celes> Well it will depend on if Alita and Ceilia can do it. I am not sure Ellie can do it

<Xanatos> 6* Bix shakes his arms furiously, and moves over to try and pat the fire out.

<DeathStar> *she uses the wind a little and tweaks it, making it so Jaime's voice is blown back to her, leaving her suspended and invisible*

<DeathStar> <Celes> Well. *she studies the map* The top floor is the Royal Family quarters, then the next few floors is where they hold sessions, meetings, conference rooms, map rooms. After that is guest rooms for important people, some treasurery stuff, and other other stuff*

<Seraphna> Jaime> Makes sense.
<Xanatos> 6* Simon nods and moves for the elevator while Xan puts his hands in his pockets and lazes after them.
<DeathStar> *Selena peers out the tower window out at the city below; the air below feels a little heavy - wrong*
<DeathStar> <Selena> Hm
<DeathStar> *she hurries after them*
<DeathStar> *as they reach the upper levels, they would find Shinobu in her office still near the Royal Quarters. The search magik seems to pick up many objects on this floor that hold dark energy*
<Xanatos> 6* Simon checks the strength of the light weapon that Selena now has and compares it to what they're finding around.
<Seraphna> **Alita works on narrowing down spirit based dark energy.**
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Hello again, Empress Shinobu."
<DeathStar> *Selena peers at her weapon, then at Simon' basing it on that, Simon would find it down the hallway near the royal confernce room*
<DeathStar> <Shinobu> *peers up* Sasha. ... I did not expect to see you on this night. Are you here to see Rain tonight. *she eyes them all*

<DeathStar> <Erevis> Well I cannot bring out the full power but let us see
<DeathStar> *Erevis focus and the ring begins to form a weapon of Erevis' thought, a dark spirit sword*

<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Did the placard that it was mounted on say anything about the ring's history?"

<DeathStar> *Erevis puts the ring in her pocket to give to Shinobu later*

<DeathStar> 6* They arrive in the noble district part of town, which is different then the busy center of the capital; the manors here are very fancy, very gothic, an older part of the city. It is still connected via the webby strange walk-ways and the people here who walk are all well dressed*
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Ah, here we are."
<DeathStar> 6* Maids and servants walk about - quickly and looking around nervously - to their manors to get inside, eyeing the team suspiciously. They are all dressed in cute maid outits like something out of a novel*
<DeathStar> <Sylph> ... I think people are scared of us
<DeathStar> <Selena> It must be Xanatos. *she jokes*
<Xanatos> <Xan> I haven't had a person look at me like that in days.
<Xanatos> <Simon> There is somethign odd going on here. Do you all not sense it?

<DeathStar> *she leads them into a grand hall that has huge chandliers and looks like something a vampire might own. There are serveral maids moving about and cleaning the place and setting up things. Selena looks around in awe*

<Xanatos> 6* Simon turns to wait outside, mostly to keep an eye on the city since it's so suspicious. Xan walks on in.
