<DeathStar> <Athena> I have designed the concert hall to channel singing to a weapon I call Song Magic. I been watching the Spirits lately and they gather the emotions of the people who worship them. If we can turn the people who are into idols, basically who worship you, into the same thing, we might can use you in such a way. I totally did not watch ancient anime or anything
<DeathStar> <Athena> I might need Kaori's reality powers though to make it happen
<DeathStar> *Athena lifts her up*

<DeathStar> <Athena> The Spirits' powers completely seem to be based on the power of the people - since they get weaker if people do not believe in them. So why can't we do something similiar

<DeathStar> *Lemon watches the PAX shuttle land*

<Xanatos> 6* Kane peers at his datapad, doing scans to try and pick up any sort of direction the VI went.
<DeathStar> *so far there has been no sign since it went underground*
<ChadWinters`> So did it retreat or did it head straight for Cran's base.
<DeathStar> <Lemon> We were just debating heading for Cran's base or keeping checking this town area out
<DeathStar> *Andrea floats in place, arms crossed*
* ChadWinters` scratches his chin as he eye's Crans base. 1"I don't think it's coincidence it decided to upgrade itself so close.

<Alicia> <Charlotte> "..."
<DeathStar> <Vesta> Look, I'll scout the area out. *she flies up and around*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Catch us up. Define 'dude'"
<Xanatos> <Kane> I'm not certain what happened to it. It went underground and vanished. Andrea or Noire. Can you sense any dark one under us?
<DeathStar> <Lemon> She means we wonder if Cran has any connection to the enemy we faced - Venerator
<ChadWinters`> Hoping that the base would cover for it's dealings?
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "... and of course Venerator starts stealing dark energy..." *quietly fumes*
<DeathStar> *Andrea closes her eyes and feels out* Hm. There is definitely Dark One energy in the area. One has left I think, and one has gone to underground.
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Well, that won't do, mother."
<DeathStar> *As they are talking, jeeps begin to approach*
<ChadWinters`> If that's the case then it would head there to recover.

<Xanatos> <Kane> Hm. How do we root out an underground threat. Perhaps we could borrow a sattelite laser to drill a hole...
<ChadWinters`> That or if it's not it could still try making an attack on the base. Either way, odds are better if we head to Cran's base. But we risk being wrong one way or another
<DeathStar> *the group is soon surrounded by the jeeps*

* ChadWinters` holsters his gun, eyeing the jeep's arrive. 1"Seem's we won't be given too much of a choice."

<DeathStar> *Blue steps out of one of the jeeps, her blue hair in a ponytail and wearing a military outfit. She looks over at them*

<DeathStar> <Blue> *she looks around the area, hands behind her back* So, what can I do for you?

<ChadWinters`> You've got a Venerator problem that's been complicated more than we thought possible.
<Seraphna> Angela> There was just a Dark One Veneratior in the area it seems. Burrowed away.
<Alicia> * Charlotte fumes at the words 'Dark One Venerator'
<DeathStar> *Blue studies Charlotte, then right eye glows as she scans Charlotte* Huh
<Jackieness> <Noire> "...how annoying."
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "...what was that?"
<Seraphna> Angela> Blue is a Reploid. Built in scanner.
<DeathStar> <Blue> Standard scan for weapons. *she peers at the others* Anyway, do you all want us to take you back to the base or help you deal with the area here?
<ChadWinters`> Well, we're not entirely sure if it's hiding out in the area underground or if it made a mad dash for your base.
<Xanatos> <Kane> Alexander may have trouble heading his way, there was another dark one that fled before we engaged with this venerator intelligence. Some of us should deal with that, while the others prepare to defend Cran.
<Seraphna> Angela> We should definitely be ready at both points. I can’t see him not going for the base.
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Sounds like you should go back and secure the gates while we go hunting."
<DeathStar> *Blue nods and moves over to a certain Reploid, who nods and steps out, who's hand turns into drills*
<DeathStar> <Blue> Alright, the rest of you come with me
<ChadWinters`> Anyone that's good at sensing Dark One's should follow that one. 6He motions at the reploid with drill hands.
<Seraphna> **Angela hops over so she can sit with Blue** Totally!
<DeathStar> *The Drill Reploid begins to drill, the area shaking and cracking, with mini quakes. Andrea blinks while Lemon loses her balances*
<DeathStar> <Lemon> Whoaaa. *She falls into Kane's arms*
<DeathStar> *Blue hops into her car and leans back*
<ChadWinters`> How excessive. 6He moves to a jeep.
<Jackieness> <Noire> "That is us Charlotte... mother." *prepares to follow the drill reploid*
<Xanatos> 6* Kane blinks and then looks slightly amused, helping Lemon back to her feet.
<Seraphna> **Angela sits with her to make small talk, seems she’s here often**
<DeathStar> <Blue> I get the job done. *she leaves a spot for Christina and lets the others get in as well. Andrea hops and sits on the back, to get a view of the area while the area is broken up*
<Seraphna> **Reese grumbles abs stumbles, right into a jeep seat**
<DeathStar> <Blue> So, how have you been, An-ge-la? *she draws out the name on purpose*
* ChadWinters` leans back, closing his eyes
<Xanatos> <Kane> I will assist our drilling dark one hunters. Tell Alexander I said hello. 6* He nods and turns to follow.

<Seraphna> Angela> Oh alright. My plans for the new line are coming across nicely.
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "Do all the reploids have built in scanners?"

<DeathStar> *Blue adjusts her hat, sirking at Charlotte* Worried?

<DeathStar> *they soon arrive at the base gates; the base a massive complex, with a large tower in the center overlooking the complex. Blue waves them past needing to be scanned* One here really hates the idea of being scanned
<DeathStar> *she says mockingly*
<DeathStar> *the base seems to be made up of normal EarthGov military personnel, and the reploids off to the side doing their own thing*
<ChadWinters`> She's worried her 'secrets' will matter to anyone here.
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "Hey, stop that! I just appreciate my privacy!"
<Seraphna> Angela> Mmm.
<Alicia> * Jikuu pauses, looking over at Chad
<DeathStar> *the jeeps are parked on the reploid side and Blue moves to take them to the center tower* This way, this way
<DeathStar> *Andrea walks along, humming and looking about, eyes narrowed for suspicious things - this is Cran after all*
<Seraphna> **Angela walks along** I’m guessing my sister decided to guard dog Alexander after the alert went out.
* ChadWinters` glances around a bit as he walks, mostly just taking in the layout
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "How safe is this place, anyway?"
<ChadWinters`> One of the more secure places on Earth.
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "So we should be safe from this Venerator, at least until we have a plan..."
<Xanatos> 6* Cole steps out of a side door looking at a datapad. He pauses and glances up at the group, then Blue.
<DeathStar> *as they reach the tower, they find guards and cameras inside, everything looks normal, but it's clear there's heightenes security since they sent in the call to warn Cran. Blue leads them to the elevator*
* ChadWinters` shrugs
<Xanatos> <Cole> This what that alert was about?
<Xanatos> (*Are they)
<ChadWinters`> No. Venerator upgraded himself with Dark One tech.
<DeathStar> <Blue> *to Cole* They're always what the alerts are about
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "Because of course he did..."
<ChadWinters`> Right under your noses too.
<Xanatos> <Cole> Well I'll escort. 6* He slides the datapad into a side pouch, giving Blue a knowing nod about her comment.
<DeathStar> *Andrea eyes the size of the elevator as they all begin to try to fit in* I'll wait out here. *Blue gives her a look* I won't do evil things. Scout's honor
<DeathStar> *Andrea crosses her fingers*
<Seraphna> **Angela gets in, as does Tabetha,,but Reese waits**
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "I'll take the elevator down afterwards."
<Alicia> * Jikuu slips in, however
<DeathStar> *Blue waits with those not going up yet, nodding to Cole to take them*
<Xanatos> 6* Cole gives a half salute and hits the elevator button.
* ChadWinters` waits on the elevator
<DeathStar> *they are soon taken to an office, with lots of equipment to monitor the base and overlooking it. Cran is sitting there monitoring the situation with maps of the area up and a guard or two in the corner. He has an earpiece on and he's talking to people, getting a handle on the situation*
* ChadWinters` studies Cran and the others positioning, listening a bit. 1"Guess that answers whether you picked it up to begin with."
<Seraphna> **Anne stands nearby, shades and duster on, glancing over the group**
<DeathStar> <Cran> Well, I knew where to look thanks to all of you
<DeathStar> *He has the other team on his monitor. It looks like they are still in position*
<Xanatos> 6* Cole steps to the side after he shows them in, glancing at the monitor.
<ChadWinters`> We're under the assumption he's gunning for your base. 6He moves over to eye the monitors over
<Xanatos> <Cole> It would be pretty dumb to attack here.
<ChadWinters`> Why else pick an area so close to a base that's housing who knows what experimental tech?
<Seraphna> Angela> I doubt it wants to take the base, just something it can use.
<DeathStar> <Cran> Like I have experimental tech. Unless you mean Cole there
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "Venerator is an it?"
<DeathStar> *Alexander Cran leans back* It's definitely hardly a man anymore
<DeathStar> <Cran> More machine than man.
<ChadWinters`> You're a Cran. You can save the lies that you're not constantly dabbling in something.

<Xanatos> <Cole> Isn't there like 5 Crans in this room, including Mr Weapon prototype?
<ChadWinters`> I think it's fair to say, nobody cares anymore. 6He nods to Cole
<DeathStar> *Andrea rides up* I am the true Cran. *Blue rolls her eyes*

* ChadWinters` studies him for a moment. 1"Then that leaves you as it's target. Might as well hang your out in the court yard as bait."
<DeathStar> *Cran studies Chad, then rises* Cole, Blue, Anne, I leave you in charge
<DeathStar> *he puts a gun in it's holester and moves for the elevator*
<Seraphna> Anne> 10-4 Chief.

* ChadWinters` rests his hands behind his back as he walks after Cran
<DeathStar> *Cran soon puts a chair down and sits in the middle of the courtyard, opening up a book*

<DeathStar> <Andrea> That or he's willing to hide anything he has on the base
<Seraphna> **Angela rolls her eyes but summons her Armor**
<DeathStar> *Andrea floats and acrosses her arms*
<Xanatos> <Cole> ...well okay then. 6* He shrugs at Blue
<DeathStar> <Blue> Old people, I tell you
* ChadWinters` leans against a wall, a bit off from Cran. 1"Seem's odd Venerator would still hold a grudge against you, don't you think?"
<DeathStar> <Cran> I agree. *he nods, turning a page* This seems illogical to me to come here, but we shall see
<DeathStar> -SCENE SHIFT-
<DeathStar> *Kane and Lemon soon see the area has been totally drilled up and soon come across a tunnel made by the V.I*
<Jackieness> <Noire> *tries feeling out for Dark One energy as she moves along*
<DeathStar> *she feels it for a moment, but it feels like the V.I shut it off and the energy vanishes in the tunnel*
<Xanatos> 6* Kane scans the tunneling patterns to get the right direction.
<DeathStar> *it seems to be indeed headed for Cran's base*
<Xanatos> <Kane> I guess winters was right, it is heading towards Cran.
<Jackieness> <Noire> "ITs not using Dark energy right now."
<Xanatos> 6* Kane taps his comm to see if he gets signal down here.
<DeathStar> *Kane would find something jamming it*
<DeathStar> *The Reploid takes a break, resting near the tunnel, when mechnical tendril shoots through the tunnel and grabs it, dragging it into the darkness ala Aliens*
<DeathStar> <Lemon> !!
<Xanatos> <Kane> Hm. Can't get through on the comm....6* He puases at the Reploid being dragged and pulls up his pistol and flashlight, running towards the direction.
<Jackieness> <Noire> *forms her Dark Edge and pursues*
<DeathStar> *Kane would see reploid oil through the tunnels, as it seems to stretch on for many yards, sometimes catching sight of the reploid and V.I before it goes down another tunnel and another*
<DeathStar> *Noire even feels out another Dark One in the tunnel briefly*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "...I feel another Dark One down here... but its trying to hide itself."
<Xanatos> <Kane> Tch, it's quick.
<Xanatos> <Kane> Noire, do you have any traversal abilities/
<DeathStar> *Kane would see V.I, minus the Reploid, moving through the tunnel ahead of them, moving like some sort of creature, allowing it to move all creatureish, so it can move quicker. It'll be out of range in a few seconds*

<Jackieness> <Noire> "I cna try shadow portals..." *tries*
<Xanatos> 6* Kane fires for it.
<DeathStar> *Kane nails the V.I and makes a noise and tumbles down the tunnels and out of sight*
<Xanatos> 6* Kane sends some drones out to scan the area around them to see if they can find and help the reploid. He continues after the VI.
<DeathStar> *The reploid seems to be gone. Maybe the Dark One grabbed it*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "...no...can't make it work. We'll need to do this in analog." *keeps on foot*
<DeathStar> *eitehr way the Venerator ran for it*
<DeathStar> *Lemon finally catches up to them*
<Jackieness> <Noire> *tries to feel out the Dark One*
<DeathStar> *it looks like the Dark One got out of there, mybe with the reploid*
<DeathStar> *who knows why*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "...get us to the surface..."
<DeathStar> <Lemon> Shouldn't we follow this tunnel all the way?
<Xanatos> <Kane> ...I'm unable to do that. I'll keep tracking the Venerator if you need to leave.

<Jackieness> <Noire> "Fine, let's go. We need to tell the base what they grabbed though."

<DeathStar> Location: Aquarius
<DeathStar> 6* The Aquarius nears the Earth, for some reason, due to re-routing issues. The Dark Maka (or are they a Makai now?) rests in medical with Adeline studying them, glancing at her notes*
<DeathStar> <Adeline> Hm.
<DeathStar> <Sabrina> I hope this will be okay
<ChadWinters`> <Id> Have you found anything interesting? 6Id floats beside Adeline
<Alicia> <Sparkling> "Me too."
<DeathStar> *Yuki sits on the bridge, with Ben behind the Captain's seat, looking through readings*
<MobileAri> * Nicolette spends her time on the ship in medical, going through all of the notes she could get on dark one... ickiness
<DeathStar> <Adeline> It will come down to if she managed to become a true Makai. IF that's the case, I think there's no saving her. She will be beyond saving. But I don't know what a "Dark Maka" means. It might be just as bad, or worse.
<Jackieness> <Airym> *is at her station*
<DeathStar> <Adeline> From what I can understand, she has corruptive dark energy in her, but I think her mind set is what matters to Makas
<Xanatos> 6* Pepper is leaned back, legs up on her console as she eats from a bowl of grapes.
<ChadWinters`> <Id> Well the corruption can be removed to a point. How it will affect her as a Maka is the real question.
<Alicia> <Sparkling> "Well, I believe in her."
<MobileAri> <Nicolette> "That's... that's my hope. That she only fell in mind, and not in heart."
<ChadWinters`> <Id> Hmmm. But if they are able to corrupt a Maka, which was always feasible. What would happen if they also went after a Spirit.
<DeathStar> <Sabrina> We can hope. *She ponders* I sometimes wonder if maybe we could take Makai and take their memories away. All the pain and suffering that made them fall and start with a blank slate. *she gets a hard look* And see if that would fix them. *Adeline eyes Sabrina, wondering if that isn't a little .. off*
<DeathStar> <Adeline> Good question
<ChadWinters`> <Id> Ethics aside, that could be a option, yes.

<Xanatos> <Pepper> We made pretty good time. 6* She sets her grape bowl aside and sits up, checking her console over once before looking back at Yuki.

<DeathStar> *The Aquarius exits hyperspace and Yuki sends the codes to the spacedock adn other stuff in space, entering the atmosphere, approaching the area where Cran's base is located*

<DeathStar> <Yuki> Looks like a bunch of people are sitting out in the middle of the base

<Xanatos> <Pepper> Honestly these people we work with just keep getting weirder.
<DeathStar> <Yuki> Well, they asked us to scan the area. *she hits a button to the medical area* Nicolette. While we're here, the leader of our Dark Ones are here if you want to go down there and talk to her

<Alicia> <Sparkling> "I'll watch over the Maka."
<Xanatos> 6* Pepper begins doing the scans.
<Jackieness> <Airym> *sweeps sensors*
<DeathStar> *Pepper would pick up something underneath the base, somthing Dark Oneish and something mechanical. Adeline has already teleported to the ground*
<DeathStar> *since Kane's team is there*
<Xanatos> <Pepper> Picking up something under them. Sending the data down to them.
<Jackieness> <Airym> "Maintaining sensor lock on the targets."

<Xanatos> 6* Kane finishes assembling the sniper rifle and then presses a button on the case and 3 drones fly up out of it and begin to circle the venerator. He begins to charge up a sniper shot while the drones begin to send laser blasts out to distract.

* ChadWinters` coughs a bit as smoke rises off him, a mask having formed that looks heavily damaged now.
<DeathStar> *Venerator pauses and grabs the ground it's trapped on and begins to rip it up when the drones hit and begin to make it angry it. Ripping the ground up, a dragoon blast hits it in the back of the shoulder, managing to chip armor up*

<DeathStar> *however a bad roll manages to get her hit by a blast of Dark nergy and she drops*

* ChadWinters` pushes himself up and fires a charged shot at Venerator, curving it in behind Kane's shot then around the back twoards the chipped armor spot

* ChadWinters` activates his grey eyes and locks on to Venerator. He raises his gun waiting for a second then fire's a short, curving it around for the chinked armor spot again.
<DeathStar> *the creature rises, sparking a bit from the head, turning toward Charlotte, it's one eye zooming in* .... Run.
<Alicia> * Jikuu watches, before concentrating, trying to lock VI in place with TK
<Xanatos> 6* Cole chuckles at that. Meanwhile Kane is charging another sniper shots, sending the 3 drones over to hover by Zephyr, 2 to defend her and one to heal her.
<Jackieness> <Noire> *burns some of her corruption energy and then tendrils shoot out from under her skirt, carrying her in an arcing trajectory toward the VI, preparing to slash vertically with the Darkness Glaive. She is clearly borderline ebrserk now.*
* ChadWinters` pulls out his second gun and begins peppering normal shots in at Venerator to act as a distraction

The more "dark corruption" we have the more overall power we have, but it is also means how overall wild we are, dark, basic desires, dark desires, stuff we have to keep a tighter desire. I consider there two types of corruption. Corruption you can see and touch that might harm you and the type that a Dark One channels, like Progenitors with hyperspace.
