<DeathStar> *the group has spent the past week learning the ins and outs of the city, simply called the Port City, some call it the Port City of the Ancients, ot the Ancient City, due to the fact they help maintain it. (cont)
<DeathStar> *the people of the this time period, from what little they have learned so far, seem to be the natives of Geyze, who the Ancients have helped educate and protected, hence their language being a mix of Geyze and Ancient. And the city being as big as it is due to their help, however there is no sign of any Ancient in sight in the city. It appears they only show up occasionally in the main "palace" area that their temples land. Otherwise it seems to be a rather simple city with low level technology, hardly any spirit technology, and no Ancient technology*

<Seraphna> Talia> I have not yet attempted to summon the hordes of Meowicles but there is plenty of tasty mana around.

<ChadWinters`> <Id> Something that has bothered me, is considering us coming here and some of us using tech that does not exist, is that the Ancients haven't come searching yet. So either they aren't looking for anomalies or they don't possess the technology to look for it.

<Xanatos> <Simon> My theory is they simple do not have the means to discover such anomalies. Truthfully we at Geyze had to rely on the spirits until we connected with the PAX.

<Xanatos> <Simon> Integrating with this society should be relatively easy, everyone should prepare for labor intensive work.

<ChadWinters`> <Id> What would be easier but would take more time is to learn how the Ancients interact with Geyze and then working our way up until we are able to make contact.

<Xanatos> <Simon> I will at least need a cloak, my overuse of saboteur glyphs and sigils have lead to this. 6* He motions to the frost that gathers on his body around his collar and wrist, which likely means most of his body is dealing with some sort of ice effect.

Interact with and understand the ancients, as well as discover more about their city on the not-yet Kumen. 2. Build the portal to ensure the 'loop' of time persists. 3. Discover more why the ancients are no more.

<DeathStar> *as they finish their matters and step out, the stench of a populated city street hits you, nothing like the current day Geyze with the spirits helping out; it's clear the past Geyze, the spirits had a more hands off approach and who knows when they began to change that attitude. The people walk by and some spit on the ground or relieve themselves. It's positively horrendous*
<Xanatos> 6* BIx fishes his face out, and then begins to take the extra cloaks and hands them out to anyone that needs one, lest they stand out too much.He seems to pull them off so Talia can remain at the top of the mountain until the mountain is gone.

<Jackieness> <Lana> *whispers* "We should totally invent indoor plumbing."

<DeathStar> *Celes takes them up the streets from their inn near the ports and as they move along the buildings and the trip takes a while, the strench does get better as time goes on. Neekito wears something over her head to hide her ears and the buildings improve as they near the palace like structure and the people in this area of street wear better clothing, with some stuff on their houses that might could be spirit-tech but doesn't look quite right. The streets are also cobble stoned instead of dirt and some strange animal carriages go by*

<Xanatos> 6* Simon tries to subtley detect if there's any mana to the strange devices on the houses or if they're purely decorational.
<DeathStar> *the palace itself has a massive wall protecting it and the gates into it are closed guards; the devices seem like they use some mana, but they also run on other properties*

<Jackieness> <Lana> "...I want to examine their technology."
<ChadWinters`> <Id> I would be careful, Lana. Considering this tech is not everywhere, they may keep it well watched.

<DeathStar> *a man who looks out of sorts to be in this area, wearing dirty clothes that match the rich people of this area, even though the rich "nobles" wear. The fabrics are far below anything Celes has worn on Geyze and she loves frilly dresses*
<DeathStar> *he looks around and motions them to a spot off to the side, slithering his way over there. Celes deadpans*
<Sara> <Liana> *whispering to Celes* I think I've figured it out... they wash their clothes in piss. I'd heard of such things...

<DeathStar> *the man reaches into his outfit and Celes for some reason makes a gag sound in the background, then pulls out a device like the one on the houses* I got one of dem there things you were looking at. For 200 coin. *most of their remaining coins*

<DeathStar> <Man> Year, year. I do. *He reaches into his vest and Celes gags again for some reason, leaning on Liana and pulls out various items. Tools for farming, masks, guard outfits, strange chip, a worker card, a food ration, etc*

<Xanatos> <Simon> Lana. The chip and the card are of interest. 6* He says from his spot back with Celes and Liana. Though he's not convinced that they can't aquire their own worker cards later.
<ChadWinters`> 6Id does it's best to scan the device, and the strange chip, going through different scan parameters and finishing up on ancient tech/power
<Alicia> <Ceilidh> "Interesting that the card is worth so much. What is it for?"

<DeathStar> *the device seems to have nothing in it to scan; either because it's not turned on, or it's a fake. Probably the latter based on the materials used in it like wood. The strange chip however reflects the scan and a beep sound is heard.* <Man> What what? *he looks around panically, then bolts*

<Sara> <Ellie> Could it be a bomb?

<Jackieness> <Lana> "He's running..."
<Alicia> <Ceilidh> "Well, the chip is legit."
<Alicia> <Ceilidh> "I'm assuming he thinks we're ancients."
<Xanatos> 6* Simon pauses to glance around and see if anyone else is noticing this situation.
<Sara> <Liana> We absolutely are. Just... in reverse.

<DeathStar> *Talia pounces the man right as something lands on the ground in front of the man. A few people turn to stare as person/thing stands there; it looks like a being with wings, but the outfit looks mechancial grabs the man and Talia with him and begins to lift off into the sky.*
<Alicia> * Ceilidh nods, and looks for a place to hide, in case the plan is *not* to chase the guy.

<Alicia> <Ceilidh> "Well, we found our Ancients, I guess."
