<DeathStar> Location: Port City
<DeathStar> It has been a month since the group has arrived at the Side by the Sea (roughly translated) and while most of them have not really explored much due to lack of minis, they have learned a few things during the past month. This is the Croza Era and the year is 19,965. It looks like Ancients, from what little they can learn, have been arriving and shaping Geyze for a long time and probably have been doing it to other worlds (at least the natives believe so) for a long time, but they do not know how long, but believe so based on how big the year is since it sounds really big. The books that are there to read though is very vague and doesn't talk much about the Ancients, leaving them almost a complete mystery. (cont)
<DeathStar> There seems to be some people that can use Magic, but there are no such thing as Magi yet in this era. Those who have the "talent" for Magic are brought to the palace to be brought before the Ancients to be trained further and those who have talent in other areas like being compatible with Spirits as well.. So it looks like there might be the makings of things as one sees in the current days beginning here - maybe. (cont)
<DeathStar> Bix so far over the past month has been their money maker and Simon with his high int (which will be done soon in his bio) has gotten a job at the book store due to his knowledge on books, allowing a little cash flow, but otherwise, the team is broke outside making just a few coins on those jobs.
<DeathStar> *Celes sits at their camp site, eyeing her long hair and eyeing it looking worse for wear due to not treating it well for the past month, even though she has brought some hair products, moving to the river to wash it with what remaining hair products she has left*

<DeathStar> <Celes> I might need to cut it and see if it'll remain cut
<Seraphna> **Talia rolls around and mewls for fish**
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Mmmmm? I could try inventing some hair product for you."
<ChadWinters`> <Id> You should not need to invent anything, I think if you simply procure the base ingredients you will be able to make it yourself.
<DeathStar> <Celes> That would be kind but living outside and whatnot has been a little rough on it
<DeathStar> *Celes slowly washes it and takes her time, then proceeds to carefully dry it carefully; due to the length it takes her time before she puts it into a strange hairstyle to keep it off the ground*
<Xanatos> 6* BIX walks back up to the camp, dusting himself off a bit, he waves happily to the group with a big smile, moving to take a seat.

<ChadWinters`> <Id> With my free time, I've been coming up with various possibilities on the nature of the Spirits and the Ancients ones relationship. I find it odd of sorts with what we've learned so far.

<ChadWinters`> <Id> And from what we've gathered, we don't know if they're heard from again.
<DeathStar> *Celes flips through a book while hair hair dries* It seems that the past hundred to two hundred years noble families and magic has been on the rise - but only in a few select few. Though with magic in their family - such as a son might become a noble family - that or they make a lot of money

<Seraphna> Anyata> If they're not heard from again... how do we know they're trained in magic?
<Jackieness> <Lana> "That's what the books say."

<Seraphna> Anyata> Mmm, if we all used our magic, we'd sure get answers right away. Wreckless as that apparently is. But it seems that Gale did not rat us out to the Ancients.
<ChadWinters`> <Id> What if the Ancients are culling those that show a talent in magic to keep magic from proliferating and out of their control? Perhaps they're using them as warriors somewhere outside of here.

<Seraphna> Alita> I find it extremely unlikely that the Nobility is being taken away to never be seen again if they have magic. How would they remain nobility?

<ChadWinters`> <Id> Nobility are not easy to come across here. 6Id turns to Simon. 1"I would hope not. I could try to send them a warning."

<ChadWinters`> <Id> I would like to believe that keeping Autumn safe for now would benefit all of us while we are here.
<Jackieness> <Lana> "I've read that most domestic servants have traditionally been hired across family lineages... I don't see why that would not be the case here."
<DeathStar> <Celes> *slowly finishes her hair and dresses behind bushes, wearing a plain outfit that would not stand out too much*

<ChadWinters`> 6Id sends a message to Autumn about a ship heading their way from this city.

<Xanatos> <Simon> At present I would like a permanent structure over our heads. If that means everyone getting a job of some kind, or getting into the pockets of a noble...I'm open to either suggestion.

<Seraphna> Alita> It also bothers me that I must withold my talent when people might need it.
<ChadWinters`> <Id> I can undestand the frustration but now maybe a good time to learn new ways to help people.

<DeathStar> <Celes> I can present myself to the palace and use magic; this will allow Liana to form a noble house in my name as we are married. Assuming this place is not against our marriage. *she sighs* Or we can approach a noble house and demonstrate our abilities and ask to be let in, perhaps. And become their retainers. But the problem with that is we do not know much about the nobles and they could be rotten to the core
<ChadWinters`> <Id> Perhaps some of the nobles of this time have names that still carry weight in modern times. If we find one that you remember and are good, that maybe a good place to start

<Xanatos> <Simon> I honestly expected to find out more at that book store. I'm sorry, I let you all down.

<Alicia> <Ceilidh> "Perhaps they're from heroes in the Ancient War?"

<ChadWinters`> <Id> Explored, spent time among the people, hit up taverns and market places.
<DeathStar> <Gwen> It's possible. We know one of them is Celes' family line, one is Shinobu's family line, though we have yet to see a Daemon
<DeathStar> <Gwen> One is Qui's family line. After that the other heroes are all muddy
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Again, the daemons are likely not extant yet."
<Alicia> <Ceilidh> "Hmm, are they perhaps part monster?"
<Xanatos> <Simon> Qui's line is your line Gwen, that may be worth investigating more.
<Seraphna> **Alita sighs** Well, we won't get anywhere without actually asking questions.

<Sara> <Liana> I'm not against seeing what happens if we try to be viewed as nobility given it would give us a lot of room to move around, but...
<Jackieness> <Lana> "And in all these adventure stories, the best place to start askign questions is at a tavern or pub."

<DeathStar> *As the group enters the family, Celes turns and nods to Bix. Give me a moment. Bix, would you guard the alley?

<ChadWinters`> <Id> Hopping to Kumen would put us face to face with the Ancients. That is if they allow us to get close to their planet
<DeathStar> *the group soon arrives at the large palace walls; what's on the other side who knows. Being in the noble district, at least the roads are now better and the air better. A guard in his armor eyes Celes and just stares, leering at her figure*
<Xanatos> <Simon> Whatever happens we will make it work.
<Xanatos> 6* BIX steps in front of Celes and gives the guard the stink eye.
<Sara> * Liana makes a face at Talia
<Seraphna> **Talia paws**
<DeathStar> *The guard pauses, eyeing Bix and hmphs* What do you want, m'lady?
<DeathStar> *Celes curtseys* We are told that those who have talent are to present themselves. <Guard> Talent? ... Ah. Oh. You mean. *Translation off* Please, my lady, follow me. Are these your retainers. <Celes> ... Some of them. *She cups Liana's arm with her own, perhaps testing to see his reaction and the guard does jerk a little, but nods slowly. He opens the gate and calls and soon more guards appear to escort them*

<Seraphna> **Talia sticks close to Gwen, still getting used to walking all over the place, while Alita walks with them trying not to call too much attention to herself**

<DeathStar> *inside is a massive open courtyard like the map suggests with guards training with swords and it looks like the city's forces are quite large. They are escorted past them all into the building. Inside it is like a typical castle, but much smaller and nothing compared to Celes', but it does have comforts at least. There is tapestry's on the wall and some have what could maybe be Proto-Hapian emblems. Maybe*
<Jackieness> <Lana> *whsipers* "...and they found no trace of this place back home?"
<Seraphna> Alita> These emblems seem familiar.
<Alicia> * Ceilidh keeps the hood of her cloak up, but it shifts slightly as she misuses her DNA device once more for minor gain.
<DeathStar> *the guards lead them past some maids cleaning things that look fancy, vases that look more like stuff you'd find out of the ground and up the stairs. Celes shakes her head as they soon arrive on the second floor and before what appears to be a King and Queen, neither having red eyes. They study the group, the King looking white haired and old and the queen much younger but it seems she lacks any real power, just there to be a fluff, making Celes sneer a bit* <King> And what is this? *The guard moves over and kneels*
<DeathStar> <Guard> These people have the ability to shape the world with a gesture.
<DeathStar> *Neekito sniffs behind Ellie*
<Alicia> * Ceilidh remains quiet, but happily becomes proud of her position as part of the "these people" who can shape the world with a gesture.
<DeathStar> *Celes steps forward and curtseys before the King, but Liana could tell it's just the bare minimum that decorum allows. For some reason, Celes is annoyed*
<Sara> * Ellie blinks, hearing Neekito sniffing
<Xanatos> 6* BIX waves, then pauses and bows when he sees the curtsey. Simon also bows.
<Alicia> * Ceilidh curtseys, as politely as she can, which is barely more politely than Celes, due to not knowing customs well
<Sara> * Liana also curtseys
<DeathStar> <King> Please, demonstrate what you can do
<Seraphna> **Alia bows, as does Talia**
<DeathStar> <Celes> One moment. *her closes her eyes, then re-opens them, perhaps getting ready as Celes has never been a fighter. Her eyes glow and Celes then speeds over to a guard using her Red Eyes and grabs the blade, taking it and cutting her hand, making the guard jerk in surprise, but it hits a magic shield*
<DeathStar> *she bows and returns the sword*
<DeathStar> *Celes then shakes her hand, glowing as she heals any damage that might have gotten through*
<DeathStar> <King> So your talent is battle type. Different. But can you not throw any fire or wind or anything out? <Celes> No.
<DeathStar> <Gwen> *to Simon* Think that was enough?
<Xanatos> <Simon> *frowns, trying to guage the King's interest*
<DeathStar> *The King pulls out a book that looks to be different than those in the book store - it looks to be almost like something from the PAX, the way it floats in the air and taps it, flipping as he looks for anything that matches Celes' ability*
<DeathStar> *it definitely doesn't match the feel of anything seen in the city yet*
<Seraphna> **Alita looks on with some interest, though it's hard to see**
<ChadWinters`> 6Id records it from his position from a pouch on Simon.
<Xanatos> 6* Simon blinks at that, then glances at Celes, trying to gauge if he should add his magic to try to boost their standing.
<DeathStar> <King> Well... *as Id records it, there's a yellow light on the wall, but the King doesn't see it as he's looking down* I'm not seeing anything but...
<Alicia> * Ceilidh looks to Id
<ChadWinters`> 6Id notices a change in color from it's view and stops.
<DeathStar> *it remains a moment or two later, then leaves* <King> Well, I am fascinated but I have to say --- <Female Voice> Let her continue
<Seraphna> **Talia looks around**
<DeathStar> *Gwen closes his eyes, not wanting to see who it is*
<DeathStar> *Standing in the room behind the group is Aska as the King turns*
<Xanatos> 6* Simon pauses, recognizing the voice.
<DeathStar> <Aska> *approaches and Celes winces, the one person they did not want to meet. Aska looks ice cold, almost emotionless and touches Celes face, jerking her chin left, then right, eyeing her eyes, then grabs Liana's face*
<Sara> * Liana's eyes widen at her face being grabbed, but she stays mostly still
<Alicia> * Ceilidh watches worriedly, unsure whether to even ask what's wrong.
<Xanatos> 6* BIX waves at Aska, smiling.
<Jackieness> <Lana> *just makes a squeak sound*
<Seraphna> **Talia meanwhile, waves**
<Alicia> <Ceilidh> "Is something wrong, Lady Aska?"
<DeathStar> <Aska> ...*lets her go and Liana can still feel an almost soothing touch on her face, despite the way Aska acts. She walks to stand by the King.* Have the dark haired one proceed and give them their money and fame they seek.
<DeathStar> *Aska pauses, peering back at Bix and Ceilidh's reactions to her* Wrong? You came here to become Nobles, did you not?
<Alicia> <Ceilidh> "That's true."
<DeathStar> *the King draws up the paperwork and moves over to hand it to Celes, who gives it to Liana*
<Sara> * Liana examines it
<DeathStar> *it seems to be a deed to some land to build their own property. It looks like they have some cash already - a lot - as well as a yearly allowance and can seek out retainers if they choose, but not enough to topple the King, so their is a limit*
<Seraphna> Alita> Well, this is a start.
<DeathStar> <Aska> I will come retrieve this one later. You can allow her to stay longer. <King> She is meant to go immediately... <Aska> I will get her later. It is no problem.
<DeathStar> *The King bows to Aska*
<Xanatos> 6* Simon watches the interaction curiously. Is 'this on' the Queen or someone else?
<DeathStar> *Celes lets out a breath she was holding and leap hugs Liana*
<Sara> * Liana hugs her comfortingly
<DeathStar> *Aska turns to the group then vanishes. The King meanwhile waves the guards and they begin to escort them back out*
<DeathStar> <Gwen> So are we going to buy a place or...build?
<Xanatos> <Simon> Does it say if it's open land or do we choose?
<DeathStar> *Liana would see that they can buy a place if they choose, but with how crowded the city it is it might be tricky*
<Sara> * Liana looks to Celes
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Well, traditional feudal grants include untamed land with which to expand civilization."
<DeathStar> *As they are leaving the property and back toward the gates, they would see a building next to the palace where there are people in robes moving about and doing something suspicious. One robed person turns to eye them as they are pushed back out ont othe street and the gates closed*
<Alicia> <Ceilidh> "Hmm... we should choose a good spot, whether it's related to the academy grounds or not..."
<DeathStar> <Celes> I'd like to buy the spot the future palace is built
<DeathStar> *she eyes this city*
<Alicia> <Ceilidh> "That might be good."

<DeathStar> *Back at their camp, Celes and Liana go over the contract. They can pick a large size of land if they want if it's not claimed, or buy it from someone if they want to spend their money doing so, but it'll cut into their building funds*
<DeathStar> *they can have up to 25 retainers as well right now*
<ChadWinters`> <Id> Is anyone else intrigued that Aska chose not to follow protocol with Celes?
<DeathStar> <Gwen> It was creepy. She was eyeing Liana like she was going to kiss her
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Oh, its obvious that the blood binding is in effect." *looks over*

<Xanatos> <Simon> It felt as if she knows something. Perhaps Chronos or Gale has spoken to her.

<Seraphna> Alita> If we did not effect this time at all logically our mission would have resulted in failure. Now we're learning how the Hapian's chose their land.
<DeathStar> *it's the noble who was bullying the farmers and owns land near the palace* <Celes> I Think this is the spot of Hapian Palace.
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Is it for sale? I mena... isn't Aska's shrine in the palace grounds?"

<Jackieness> <Lana> "I wonder where the shrine is now... assuming they even have shrines."
<DeathStar> <Celes> I imagine Aska is still in the spirit realm
