<DeathStar> *The entire castle feels filled with people and Asarar sits in a guest room designated for the group, sipping tea while servants run around trying to get things in place and there are banners up all over the place. It looks like this is going to be the biggest event of the year - despite it being practically the first month of the year*
<DeathStar> *Neekito and Nicolette are not present, being with Selena, wherever she is located right now. But with so many leaders going to be present, there's always a chance something bad might happen, especially with the strangeness going on with the Legion*
<DeathStar> *Bonnie tugs on her dress, having a birthday/coronation present on the table*

<DeathStar> *meanwhile, Selena paces in her bedroom with her Aunt, Neekito, and Nicolette, eyeing the gown she was given to wear for the ceremony, her long hair done up*

<Jackieness> <Sasha> "These dresses were made for ceremony, Selena, not moving around in. That's why they changed clothign so many times back in the day."

<Seraphna> Jaime> Mmm, could always give you a Suisen Empress dress but that might be embarrassing.

<Seraphna> Jaime> Mmm, I’m observing the decorum of a friend right now. **she peers Selena over and tuts a bit** Not sure I could maintain a mud dress for the full ceremony unfortunately.

<Jackieness> <Sasha> *steps back to examine and then moves over to adjust the dress on the shoulders and moves some strands of hair into proper place*

<DeathStar> *Selena motions at a chest* I have a present for you. If you do not want it, I understand, but please... *she indicates she can take if she does want what is inside*
<Ariel> <Nicolette> *laughs a little* "This day is supposed to be about you, y'know." *she gives a flourished bow, and goes to check out the chest anyways*
<DeathStar> *Neekito leaves Asarar's group to the massive throne hall and to front row sears. Asarar takes a seat and guides Bella to a seat as well*

<Seraphna> **Jaime holds out a small bracelet made of bright flowers to Selena**

<DeathStar> *inside is a magician's outfit, made to look exactly what Nicolette normally wears, only it's made with Hapian fabrics so it's stronger and has Hapian colors* <Selena> I did promise that once you graduate from the Academy you can be the Hapian court mage. But even if you do not want do it, these are for you. To help protect you on whatever journey you take

<Alicia> * Sparkling tilts her head as she watches
<Ariel> <Nicolette> "Ah heh... you make it sound like I was considering giving up Geyze." She takes the outfit into her arms, "What I had said, is I have a duty to protect more than one country, right now. That just involves travel."
<DeathStar> *at that moment Eve appears, wearing something that probably Celes should be wearing, along with a few noble men. Selena goes to open her mouth to Sasha, turning to look at Eve. Eve eyes Sasha*

<Ariel> * Nicolette darts off into a side room to change as quick as she can.
<DeathStar> <Eve> Cousin. *she nods, turning to Selena* I will be waiting in the throne room to turn over power to you. Sasha here will guide you to the throne room. Just trust in her. *she leaves with the men and Selena lets out a breath*
<DeathStar> <Neekito> Whenever that one appears, it is like a dark cloud hangs over the room

<Jackieness> <Sasha> *holds up a hand* "No more gossip. Still be on your guard."
<Seraphna> Jaime> Hmm. And I thought my family had drama.
<DeathStar> *Mykel and Ceilia take seats near the back and Shinobu takes a seat somewhere up front. Sabrina looks around quietly, frowning*
<DeathStar> <Bonnie> *adjusts her dress, showing off things to Cherie and Cloe*
<Jackieness> <Sasha> *turns to Selena* "The ceemony will wait for you, despite Eve's boredom. The question is whether you are ready."
<DeathStar> <Selena> *nods to Sasha* Yes. The fact is, as Luna said, something is stirring on Geyze - either it be within Hapian itself, or outside it, and I need to take a direct hand. I need to be queen and help shape the Hapian in envision and work with you and the Academy more closely, which Aunt Eve is not doing. Maybe it's nothing, but we need to d osomething now ,especially with this "Dark" War going on

Let your defenders protect you as is their duty. Remember, that dress is meant for ceremony, not combat or escape."
<DeathStar> <Selena> True. Mother used to discuss when she was younger about her times in the castle under the previous Empress. *she smile winces at some of Celes' lessons* That sometimes the only way to fight in these lessons was distractions and feints

<DeathStar> *Neekito appears and informs Eve, who motions at someone; Selena begins to walk down the hallway to the throne. By now, all the leaders are present. Kalam, Leaf/Cassava, Helen, Mykel, Ceilia, Shinobu, Qui, and Ymir and Ylva from Kumen*
<DeathStar> *Ymir leans back, observing the group, her eyes scanning the Asarar team, studying Bonnie*
<Jackieness> <Sasha> *walks along immediately behind and slightly to the side of Selena*
<DeathStar> *As Selena, Sasha, Nicolette, and Sparkling (if she follows) enters the room, the man announces them* Announcing Princess Selena of Hapian. *he gives proper greeting to Sasha, too, out of respect. It seems there are some nobles who probably thought she should have been picked over Celes*
<DeathStar> *Aska and Soren appear in the throne room, Aska and Soren taking their places*
<Alicia> * Sparkling does indeed follow, having finished her deep thinking on the future
<DeathStar> *Selena takes her spot and Eve moves over to Selena, with Aska and Soren moving to them*
<Seraphna> **Jaime begins to take a focus slightly into the future while seeming to watch**
<DeathStar> *Sabrina seems to be a little ... concerned about something still*
<Jackieness> <Sasha> *stands to the side, keeping a look out to make sure everythign goes exactly right*
<Seraphna> **Luci frowns and keeps a look out, watching the crowd more than anything**
<DeathStar> <Aska> Princess Eve, you are here to become queen, to protect this kingdom and take the throne that your mother and her mother before her, accepting the dynasty of your family line and all that it means. Are you certain you are ready for this heavy burden?
<Alicia> * Sparkling blinks, not sure she heard correctly
<DeathStar> <Aska> *she touches her shoulder, showing her something and Selena closes her eyes, before nodding - a little* Aska nods and steps back as Eve moves to pick up the crown and moves over to Eve; it's clear that Eve is not happy giving up the power*
<DeathStar> *However, oddly, she places the crown on Selena's head and steps back. Selena slowly rises and Eve turns to face the crowd* Aska has acknowledged her. *she turns Selena to face everyone* She is now Queen Selena Hapian. *Eve wisely steps off to the side and Selena takes the throne, sitting down* <Selena> I thank everyone who attended today. *she smiles at her friends, especially Nicolette and Jaime and others* The first thing I wish to do is speak with the leaders who have come here today
<Seraphna> **Jaime is already smiling as she does, a little ahead of the moment**
<DeathStar> <Selena> For we are a united Geyze. But for now, let us eat and drink. *she waves her hand and lets the caterers open the doors to the dining halls*
<DeathStar> *Eve for her part moves off, taking a side hallway to leave and Asarar shrugs* <Asarar> I guess nothing wrong will happen.
<Ariel> * Nicolette can't help but smile, despite all her efforts to keep a straight formalness through the event.
<Alicia> * Sparkling looks thoughtful
<DeathStar> <Bonnie> *has already rushed to the dining hallway, where there is also an area for dancing, for the Hapians love their dancing*
<Jackieness> <Kira> "...pssst... don't jinx it, dear."
<Seraphna> **Luci mentally flicks her ear for saying something so vexing and continues her observations as people move about**
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Come, Selena. ITs time for the enxt dress change of the evening."
<DeathStar> *Aska leans down to whisper to Selena and Selena nods, indicating she will join Aska after the party. She rises to join Sasha* Of course. *to Nicolette* I will return shortly

<Seraphna> Jaime> I’m really hoping that Eve not putting on a scene was a good thing. Not too happy with how much she’s had Luna’s ear.

<Jackieness> <Sasha> "I do not like this. I recommend we return to the throne room and assemble an escort."

<Seraphna> **Jaime peers over for Luna, as Luci relays to her the guard situation**
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Back away slowly..."
<DeathStar> *Luna is eating food - as a Luna is want to do*

<Seraphna> Jaime> Something’s up around Selena’s room, but we should keep an eye on Luna too in case it’s a distraction.
<Sara> * Luna burps, then glances around as if making sure no one heard. Satisfied that surely no one did, she goes back to eating.

<DeathStar> *the guests begin to comment a bit that Selena is not back yet. Neekito jerks and moves to try to distract them*

<DeathStar> *As Sasha enters, the room seems untouched, but there's a feel of death inside it. A closet door is shut. The bathroom door is shut. Under the bed maybe? The balcony door - an enemy outside?*
<Seraphna> **Luci keeps an eye out around the hall, casually pulling out her datapad and putting it on her shoulder to record what happens**

<Seraphna> **Terra wiggles and starts blessing guests with various fruits**

<Ariel> * Nicolette attempts to scry if there is any serious danger in the room, before she takes inventory of what tricks she can do with the matters on hand.

<DeathStar> *Sasha opens the closet and a body falls out. - It's Eve, with a dagger in her chest*

<Seraphna> **Luci raises a brow, recording, Jaime peering around the main area for Eve after Luci relays the info**

<DeathStar> *with the blood pooling up, it looks like it happened soon after she left the party*

<DeathStar> *Rain steps into the room after the guards leave, glancing over the body*

<Seraphna> Luci> Still it’s a shit plot. No motive or reason.

<Seraphna> Luci> Selena is Queen. She wouldn’t need to do this if she wanted her dead.

<Ariel> <Nicolette> "While we wait for our new queen to join us," She watches the crowd, trying to watch for those otherwardly distracted, "Allow me to distract you with means most magnificently mystical."

<DeathStar> *Leaf and Cassava clap happily at that and Helen props her head up, boredly. Mykel and Shinobu lean back, boredly. As do most Hapian nobles, though some seem intrigued to give her a chance*
<DeathStar> <Rain> No, just I was running late to see Selena crowned. Shinobu has been keeping me busy lately
<Jackieness> <Sasha> *purses her lips and takes a deep breath, then tries to find a dress for Selena for the coronation reception that is untouched by blood*
<DeathStar> *Rain checks* Dead. I'm not sure I could revive her. *Rain does a magic technique on the dagger* And fingerprints on it
<Seraphna> Luci> **Runs her datapad around Selena first to show she has no blood on her either**
<Seraphna> Luci> Dead how long?

<DeathStar> <Rain> The person likely just stuffed them in here

<Seraphna> **Luci peers about, definite sure if one thing, the sudden kill could also mean a Dark One took a new form**
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Good, then I don't need to explain the situation. While Selena puts on a show, I need your eyes to investigate."
<Alicia> <Sparkling> "... that makes sense."
<Seraphna> **Jaime meanwhile watches the guests. Terra sits in Leaf’s lap**

<DeathStar> <Asarar> Right. I'm guessing that will be Selena's prints on the dagger, so the question is how did they replicate it.
