<DeathStar> *the map shows the Dark Ones are oddly leaving the Cartel front alone, outside their territory that borders the Erusian areas, and is instead focusing on the Erusians, Earth, and the Susien*

<Jackieness> <Noire> "And what, praytell, have the Cartel been up to that our cousins are willing to show their backs to them?"
<Seraphna> Jaime> I thought we wiped the Cartel Hunters out... that or they don't think the Cartel will make any agressive actions towards them.
<DeathStar> <Lenneth> Well, it means we're spreading out forces out more since we can't why this shift in landscape, so that's never a good thing. *to Xanatos*
<Seraphna> Angela> Not completely without merit, the Cartel has to see profit in pushing forward, they're the least likely of the factions to go on the offensive.
<Jackieness> <Noire> "So as long as our cousins don't directly threaten them, the Cartel will sit back and wait to die later."
<ChadWinters`> It's most likely they don't want to stretch themselves out to thin. They've been helping where requested and have been sending resources where needed.
<Xanatos> <Xan> They got hit pretty hard initially, didn't they? Maybe the cartel is liking their wounds.
<DeathStar> <Andrea> Hm. I would hate to think the Dark Ones made a deal with them
<DeathStar> <Andrea> We should see if "Dark One tech" makes their way into Cartel military later
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "Well... if that happened, we'll just have to deal with them."

<ChadWinters`> I doubt they'd accept one. They were pretty front and center on advocating for a war in the first place.
<ChadWinters`> If anything, the Dark Ones pulling back is most likely designed to sow doubt amongs everyone.
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Then maybe we shoulds top speculating and investigate."
<DeathStar> <Cheryl> *pours a drink* So the Cartel has time to take a break, and the Dark Ones is coming after the other races harder now
<ChadWinters`> It's a dangerous move considering it means the Cartel can replenish their forces.
<Seraphna> Jaime> Hmm... unless they're after something the Cartel can't provide much of.
<DeathStar> <Empress> Yes. Well, if you look at the Galactic Map, I know the Erusians have their forces spread out all across the Tsivrixsh border. But I have an idea that might could strike a blow against the Dark Ones
<ChadWinters`> But you can always ask them, Shiva has spent most of her time on the PAX.
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "Or unless they've already done what they intended by attacking the Cartel."
<DeathStar> <Empress> I just wonder if you all think the Cartel would be willing to do it
<DeathStar> *she speaks up finally*
<Seraphna> Tabetha> Having seen first hand they'll collect anything to use later... yes. What's this idea to prod Tsivrixsh butt though?
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "Make a deal, or back out of the war the moment it doesn't concern them any more?"
<DeathStar> <Empress> No. *she brings up the map and points at the part of the Cartel borders the Erusian border*
<DeathStar> <Empress> As Lenneth stated, the Dark Ones left some of their forces behind to continue to harass the Erusians to help crumble them - probably to let the Tsivrixsh join the fight sooner.
<ChadWinters`> That's the going theory.
<DeathStar> <Empress> What little forces we have left there could join the Cartel and help defend what Erusian forces are there - and I imagine there is not a lot since most of them are at the Tsivrixsh border. It could result in a lot of losses for all of us. But if we win, it'd be a big blow to the Dark Ones. And allow the rest of us to go after the main force coming into our lands.
<ChadWinters`> I guess that'll will come down to how everyone feels about the loss of life.
<DeathStar> *holds out alcohol to anyone who wants it*
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "It's not like we can avoid it completely."
<DeathStar> <Erevis> I would certainly not send Xanatos or Kyouki into that battle

* ChadWinters` looks over at the Empress, studying her for a moment. 1"If I may ask, why the sudden shift in strategy?
<Xanatos> <Xan> Do we have any other areas we could focus on? Just so we know our options?
<DeathStar> <Empress> The Dark Ones are most likely preparing to begin to seed worlds closer in-land. *she brings up the map* So imagine worlds like Gitari, the Dragoon Homeworld, and others as they approach Earth. The PAX can move around, so we are not in danger here, but as they near Earth and Geyze/Kumen, we'll have more forces aligned against us. Also I imagine they will try to make another well, and I am not certain we have cleaned up all the after effects from the last one
<DeathStar> <Selena> ... <Lenneth> And if we leave the problem of the Erusians falling behind us, the Tsivrixsh will flood in and stab us in the back much sooner. Don't get me wrong, the Erusians will fail to hold them sooner or later. But it'll be sooner if the Dark Ones are nipping them in the back
<ChadWinters`> The hardest is going to be convincing that the potential loss of life is going to be worth it. Having war hero's on the front line will help.
<DeathStar> <Lenneth> But as for options, we can face the Dark Ones coming at us now.
<Xanatos> <Xan> So if we go fight on the Erusian and Cartel border, they'll move furthur into our own space?

<Seraphna> **Jaime frowns, not liking the idea of opening up the worlds in their Empire to the Dark Ones**
<DeathStar> <Empress> Yes. We could, I suppose, divide our forces further. Send some of you all to the border with more of our ship to "negate" the loss of life
<DeathStar> <Empress> But that would mean the main force would be harder to slow
<ChadWinters`> That will depend on how hard of a push we make, Xan. If we go all out and hit quick and hard, it'll reduce the time they can start expanding.
<Seraphna> Thena> If only we could distract them somehow...
<Xanatos> <Xan> Stuck between a pickle and a soft spot.
<Xanatos> <Xan> ...or however that goes.
<DeathStar> <Andrea> The Dark Ones will likely be the type to dig into worlds and make you dig them out. They did it before. That will allow them to multiply
<Jackieness> <Noire> "And whatever happened to those Templar fanatics anyway?"
<DeathStar> <Andrea> And we still don't know if the ones back out in that other quadrant are being held up by the Templars. *she eyes Thomas*
<DeathStar> <Thomas> I could leave and find out if you want
<ChadWinters`> Based on how they've been moving, it's try something, shift to a new strategy, try it, shift. All while essentially slowly rebuilding their forces.
<Seraphna> Jaime> You'd think with the tree in near constant peril and the Dark Ones all over here now that they'd have some interest.
<ChadWinters`> It's only a matter of time before they finally find a strategy that hits us hard.
<ChadWinters`> If they're being tied up at a stalemate, then they can't afford to come this way, Jaime. So I wouldn't count on them. Not unless we can send someone to help them and we're tied here.
<DeathStar> <Empress> Well, there might be one strategy that could stop them. But Erevis and Lenneth think it's a bad idea
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "It can't hurt to at least know it."
<ChadWinters`> I doubt you'll like it. 6He leans back a bit.
<DeathStar> <Empress> Overload the PAX. It would send a massive charge of hyperspace for many many many light light years in all areas and continue for quite a while. But this technology, while it can be mimiced in ships like the Iron Paw, this is the only one left of it's kind. So if you wish to overload it, you should do it only if you have all the Dark Ones in one spot
<DeathStar> <Empress> Oh, and I would have our Dark Ones be nowhere in sight
<Xanatos> <Xan> .... that's pretty rough.
<ChadWinters`> So a Hyperpace EMP essentially.
<Seraphna> Jaime> Well the latter isn't a problem, we have a place positively out of range. The former however... would the PAX survive?
<DeathStar> <Empress> Survive? No. Not a piece of it

<Seraphna> **Jaime frowns** We can't do that then... we need this place in a decade.
<DeathStar> <Empress> I would suggest being as far away as possible.

<Seraphna> Jaime> The distance isn't an issue, we can possibly tuck them outside reality temporarily. But... the loss of the PAX would be a problem later down the time. It might throw off everything.

<Seraphna> Jaime> Not a lot I can say. Just that we need it.

<Xanatos> <Xan> Honestly we just got back here so I'm not all that fond of the idea. But let's entertain the idea. HOW much would it hurt the dark ones?
<DeathStar> <Empress> Lets say you had everyone of them present? The well, that huge ship, al their elite forces?
* ChadWinters` leans back. 1"Jaime's time shenanigans ignored. I don't think it's a good move. It'ld be to hard to get them all in one area. They wouldn't fall for it, on top of that, we still have the ones in the Templar area.
<Seraphna> Angela> That does have the added issue of having to get them all together when right now the Dark Ones are spread out.
<DeathStar> <Empress> It probably would wipe out all their forces, destroy the well ship, and probably damage the well
<Seraphna> Angela> I say put that in our back pocket in case things get desperate.

<DeathStar> <Lenneth> The Dark Ones can enter hyperspace to a degree. So I'm not sure that would work
<ChadWinters`> Weaponizing hyperdrives is a dangerous move regardless.
<Seraphna> **Jaime gets a distant look as she gets an idea, quietly sending a message to Taiga to meet her later**
<Xanatos> <Xan> I mean if it could end the war tomorrow I'm not opposed to the idea of using this place. But I know I didn't live here for 3 decades like some others.
<ChadWinters`> I think as of now, our current choice is to go all in on the borders with the Erusians or continue the status quo
<Xanatos> <Xan> THat said....I wonder if we could force them all together to use it. Instead of a last ditch, actually manipualte things to do so.
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "This place is pretty special to me too."
<DeathStar> *The Empress meanwhile works on showing the current front lines while they talk; it looks like right now the new front lines is the area of the Galactic Map of EarthGov territory and Suisen near the Cartel space, just above the Tsivrixsh border*

<Seraphna> Jaime> How certain are we that this is the only Progenitor ship left? I mean, beyond the basic reasoning that this is the only one we could find?
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "I don't want to use my home as a bomb, Xanatos."
<DeathStar> <Empress> It would bring down the galactic teleportation system
<DeathStar> <Empress> But you all lived without it for years
<ChadWinters`> On top of that, it would create a power vacuum.
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Not to mentions there aren't any backup facilities for the Suisen government."
<Xanatos> <Xan> HOME is where you make it. Trust me. But I'll drop it either way.
<ChadWinters`> The reason the Suisen Empire exists is because of the PAX and everything it can do.
<DeathStar> <Erevis> Yes, I suppose with the Progenitor power of the PAX gone, it would fall apart but if needbe, my children would find other things to do
<Seraphna> Angela> Well let's move onto more constructive topics. Since this is realistically a doomsday option.

<DeathStar> <Lenneth> Right, so here is where the main force is at now
<Seraphna> Angela> I might have something to help but I'll have to borrow Ben for a while.
<DeathStar> <Lenneth> We've been keeping them locked in, but they're still pushing out in various directions. *she shows lines, showing the Dark Ones slowly spreading out* We also think they might be constructing a second seed ship. Right now, this is the new front line.
<Jackieness> <Noire> "On what basis do we believe there is a second seed ship?"
<ChadWinters`> I would consider a second seed ship a certainty
<Xanatos> <Xan> Maybe Jaime and I coudl go off searching for other Progen ships.
<Seraphna> Jaime> I do have something of an idea, that I can discuss later once I have some brains behind it.
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "Do you even have any leads?"
<DeathStar> <Lenneth> Our spies. We've noticed they seem to be grabbing up minerals from planets they are seeding and ... *she puts down a blurry image of a ship construction planet*

<ChadWinters`> And I assume since there's been no change, Lorelei's team hasn't had any luck with the Tsiv.
<DeathStar> <Empress> So the point of the meeting is this. What should we focus on. Sabotage, going to see if the Templars might could help, if anyone wants to go to the front lines, or ... do you have any special projects, like finding other ships. *she nods to Xanatos*
<DeathStar> <Empress> If so, please speak up now what you all wish to do now
<Seraphna> Angela> And they decide to built the second battle station before we can blow up the first. Now we just need to get their emperor on board and toss him in a reactor. **she mumbles a bit**

<ChadWinters`> That would require us to Weaponize your Spirits and I don't think that's an acceptable request.
<Seraphna> Angela> I have a ship that might help but... well let's just say it'll be fun to get it.

<Seraphna> Angela> Well, a long time ago we learned in one possible timeline I used it to defend earth for about a decade. Since then I've decided it should only be brought to bear if things looked truly hopeless.

<Seraphna> Angela> I'm almost certain it does because in every reality one consistency is I'm always a mad scientist. Anyway... the major safeguard is that it needs an Omega to detect its cargo. And well... space is really, really big.

<Seraphna> Jaime> I've been thinking about how little we actually put our best resource to work, and Taiga's proven pretty handy at manipulating it with her Taiga Engine.

<DeathStar> <Lenneth> From what I read, the Dark Ones have chased the team into hyperspace tunnels before

<DeathStar> <Lenneth> The walls damage them but they are able to enter the tunnels

<ChadWinters`> Hyperspace is a fickle creature. If it was easily weaponized it would've been done by now by crazier people.
<Seraphna> Thena> To be fair, I'm the craziest of us and I do things other progenitors never seemed to consider!
<DeathStar> <Empress> Yes, it might be possible to create weapons out of it. But I would not advise it. *Referring to the travel*

<Seraphna> Jaime> Well I was thinking of a way to pull them directly into the walls, but essentially yes. Instead of trying to force Hyperpspace to do something, use what's already naturally there.
<Seraphna> Jaime> Why collapse something when the wall itself is sufficient.
<DeathStar> <Erevis> If you want to try to learn how to do things like that, you might want to speak to someone who loves to use hyperspace like trpas
