<ChadWinters`> <Id> A ship would be nice, but I fear that if one would leave here that it may cause the Ancients to do something.

<Jackieness> <Lana> "No, not at all." *looks up* "And its not like we don't have the expertise to build a ship. We just need to get the resources... that's the tricky part."

<ChadWinters`> <Id> It's not the resources so much as also needing the machinery to fabricate the pieces we need. On top of that, the time alone to build one just ourselves would take years. Our best bet would be to try and gather enough good will with the Ancients to get one of there's.

<Seraphna> Talia> Or submit ourselves to their training, they apparently let us travel if we do!

<Jackieness> <Lana> "I doubt they would be willing to share, based upon their attitude toward technology so far."

<DeathStar> <Gwen> We could wait for Celes' next visit and try to get her to help; assuming she hasn't become one of them
<ChadWinters`> <Id> It's possible that she could be the key to getting us a ship of some sort.
<DeathStar> <Gwen> Assuming she has any power left in a few months

<Seraphna> Alita> I'm still a bit unclear as to what side we are on exactly.
<Alicia> <Ceilidh> "That's why I was worried about... what do you mean, side?"

<Seraphna> Alita> Well we keep treating the Ancients as a "them".
<Alicia> <Ceilidh> "Are you an Ancient?"
<Seraphna> Alita> No but everyone on this planet appears to be under them as it is.
<Seraphna> Alita> Is our enemy local, or are they keeping enemies at bay?
<DeathStar> <Gwen> Well, the Hapians claim to be related to the Ancients
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Well, the Ancicents certainly seem to keep the people they elevate at arm's length save for their direct disciples. That baing said... would you trust a caveman with a hyperlaser?"

<ChadWinters`> <Id> Or is this some sort of battle royal if you will. A giant game to see who can do the most with their chosen planet.
<ChadWinters`> <Id> Regardless, more information is required.
<Alicia> <Ceilidh> "We're not planning to fight anyone... are we? This is an investigation."
<Seraphna> Alita> Mmm... it just seems like all we are doing at this point is looking for the parts we need to return home, our goals otherwise appear to be aimlessly waiting on others.

<Jackieness> <Lana> "Without a way back to our time, we could be swept up in whatever conflict wiped the Ancients out."
<Seraphna> Talia> Gwen for President!
<ChadWinters`> <Id> False, Ceilidh. I think it's fair to say we engage in this war rather directly.

<Alicia> <Ceilidh> "I see your point, but I think... what? We do?"
<DeathStar> <Gwen> Well, *he rocks in his seat* The way I see it is this, and Id can correct me

<Alicia> <Ceilidh> "You can trust Id to do that."
<Seraphna> Alita> That appears to be his primary function.
<DeathStar> <Gwen> 1) We know the Ancients, or the Croza, control a ton of worlds and there will be a war of ideaologies between the two sides at some point in time, if it hasn't already begun, between them
<Alicia> * Ceilidh nods.
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Hmmmm... we need to identify the idealogies then.."
<Seraphna> Alita> Such things often occur over time as debate moves sides apart.
<Alicia> <Ceilidh> "I can only assume some sort of crisis occurs."
<DeathStar> <Gwen> 2) From what I watched Celes and Erevis investigate, one side takes a darker path and the other side moves to stop them. The darker path sides uses Geyze Spirits, so I assume they use all the worlds' spirits, since Celes informed them there's spirits on all the worlds - even though we never met them, against the other side
<DeathStar> <Gwen> Basically, turning them into corrupted spirits
<Seraphna> Alita> Yes... which is why we know some of those in this time are doomed.
<DeathStar> <Gwen> 3) The lighter side made devices that trapped and took the corrupted spirits out of play and sealed them in the devices without killing them.
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Assuming that we have the two factions correctly identified..."
<DeathStar> <Gwen> Until they were recently released
<Seraphna> Alita> Huh... wait... that would require a certain degree of knowledge on spirit tech, would it not?
<DeathStar> <Gwen> And then 4) Something happened and both sides just were wiped out off the map and the spirits suddenly have begin holes in their memories
<Jackieness> <Lana> "The Ancients invented spirit tech. Modern spirit tech is built on studies of Ancient artifacts."
<ChadWinters`> <Id> I feel you have summed it up correctly.
<Seraphna> Alita> Well, most of the spirits do.
<Seraphna> Alita> I've long suspected that Void does actually know what happened.
<ChadWinters`> <Id> It may be fair to assume their memory loss was self inflicted.
<DeathStar> <Gwen> Maybe. So as to what everyone is asking, what can we do
<Jackieness> <Lana> "...what if the Spirits turned on the Ancients and wiped them out?"
<ChadWinters`> <Id> I believe the safest route would be to continue as we have been and wait for the war to occur here and react accordingly.
<Seraphna> Alita> We do know that Kumen's spirits were completely taken out...
<DeathStar> <Gwen> We either can investigate the human cities that have begun to thrive under the Ancients, since we don't have access to the Ancients or these other worlds, and learn what we can of this world, or get in touch with the spirits of this time before they get corrupted and get closer to them, or 3) We need to get closer to the Ancients and try to get into the heart of the enemy and see where the break between them occurs. Or 4) Run to Chronos like babies
<Jackieness> <Lana> "We've been using light and dark to describe the two factions as though it were some clliche battle between good and evil. Its probbly more complicated than that... and this is the Goth girl here saying this."
<DeathStar> *Gwen looks for more food. Neekito mumbles about Ellie*
<Seraphna> Alita> I was about to suggest the third option in a way. We should position ourselves in a way to learn the most we can about the Ancients.
<DeathStar> <Gwen> Fine, I will call the two sides Lame and Lamer
<Seraphna> Talia> I was gonna call them the FIghting Wombats and the Mean Puppies.
<Alicia> <Ceilidh> "... 1 is a good idea, definitely. 2 we can at least try. The third option has risk, but may be our best bet."
<ChadWinters`> <Id> I believe it would not hurt to hit this at two seperate points. We should send more to work with Celes for the Ancients part and then send the others to start exploring this planet's cities more.
<ChadWinters`> <Id> Unfortunately, this requires time which those made of flesh do not have an infinite amount of.
<Seraphna> Talia> I stay with President Captain Gwen.
<Jackieness> <Lana> "The first option we could easily disguise our real intent as trade or rich-nobles-on-holiday."
<Alicia> <Ceilidh> "We could split the group."
<DeathStar> *Gwen lets out a breath* Well, I guess with Liana being out of it with Celes being gone I guess I could temporary try the leader thing
<Jackieness> <Lana> "And then impress your suster when we get home by your newfound confidence?"

<Seraphna> Talia> Make fish happen!
<Seraphna> Alita> Well she's always honest.
<DeathStar> <Gwen> There's still a lot to this city and there's two other major human cities. So there's plenty to this world left. We got Spirits around for spirit/human relations. As for reaching out and trying to get to the Ancients, the only way I see to do that is how Celes did it
<DeathStar> *Gwen stands by Lana, rubbing her head as he muses*
<ChadWinters`> <Id> From what we've gathered, that is correct. I imagine it's set up as a gating system.
<ChadWinters`> <Id> To prevent someone from gaining to much of their knowledge and spiritual power and becoming an instant threat.
<DeathStar> <Gwen> Probably
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Trying to get more of us in with the Anceints would be tricky..."
<Seraphna> Alita> Not really tricky, we go to the keep, show our power, get accepted.
<Alicia> <Ceilidh> "So, concentrate on the first two options, which we can do both."
<ChadWinters`> <Id> It maybe possible that with the Spirits becoming more active in Geyze's every day affairs, a Spirit itself could help by-pass that system.
<Seraphna> Alita> Even the least skilled of us is above and beyond most of what this world has to offer. Though... my species doesn't exist yet so that is a complication.
<Seraphna> Talia> And no Familiars yet either!
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Getting in is not the tricky part! Its not gettign warped that's the issue!"
<DeathStar> <Gwen> Maybe. *he grabs his coat* I do know from Liana's research the Mal'oy family has a ton of family members and some servants that went up there
<Seraphna> Talia> ...Wait! This means I'm the oldest Familiar now!
<DeathStar> <Gwen> Of course, he sees us as enemies
<ChadWinters`> <Id> But remember, I believe it was Chronos that made it known that those who form pacts will be used for the upcoming War.
<Seraphna> **Talia makes a Delghi face** I am the wisest of the Familiars. Rawr.
<Seraphna> Alita> Oh my.
<DeathStar> <Gwen> Yes, which means everyone who did pacts here is now part of the Ancient War
<Jackieness> <Lana> "As you said, Alita, your species would complicate things. I have power too, but my magic works differently than any other example on this planet... no clue how they would react."
<Alicia> <Ceilidh> "So... does that mean we're forced into participating?"
<Seraphna> Alita> In a way, we are like soldiers for a kingdom. We must fight or break the pacts.
<DeathStar> *Gwen just shrugs* Lets step out. I want to examine the city and then maybe split the group like you all keep saying
<Jackieness> <Lana> "And yeah... pacting ith the locals was a totally sus move."

<ChadWinters`> <Id> While it worked, I do believe we have put Shade in a dangerous position.
<ChadWinters`> <Id> I would not worry about a Paradox for something like that. Time has shown to be flexible to a degree.
<Jackieness> <Lana> "The only good enws is we know that Shad will be one of the survivors... unless we just triggered muliverse theory."
<Xanatos> <Simon> Leader Gwen. 6* He muses.
<Alicia> <Ceilidh> "So Shade is comparatively safe..."
<ChadWinters`> <Id> Maybe. It's possible that the other Dark Spirit could take her place.

<Seraphna> Alita> It's a long known part of our lore that Shade is responsible for the Daemon Realm coming to be.
<Alicia> <Ceilidh> "That sounds like a bad thing, but it's not."
<Seraphna> Alita> I never imagined I had a hand in it, but in terms of timeline speaking... it was going to happen, or had happened.

<DeathStar> <Gwen> I think that's Mal'oy's mansion. It looks like the Wind Spirit is chummy with them

<Seraphna> **Alita side glances at Neekito and Ellie curiously, but keeps going**
<DeathStar> <Neekito> *pulls her close* You okay? We can rest in the mansion. It's cold out here
<ChadWinters`> <Id> We could use Gale's attachement to Liana to our advantage
<Sara> <ellie> i haven't really been doing enough, i need to keep active
<DeathStar> <Neekito> Okay. But if it becomes too much, let me know. *takes her hand*
<Xanatos> <Simon> So our goal is to get inside Mal'oy's mansion? Or Gale in particular?
<DeathStar> <Gwen> I admit I wish we were more friendly with him. Liana learned that his family has a ton of people that came back as agents of the Ancients
<Seraphna> Alita> It might not hurt to try and mend fences with Mal'oy.
<Xanatos> 6* BIX doots as they walk along, waving at people he's befriended in the village as he passes them.
<DeathStar> <Gwen> He'd be useful, but I doubt that'll happen.
<Seraphna> Alita> Especially since it's likely he's related to a family that will long survive all of this.
<Xanatos> <Simon> We could attempt a deal, but it would have to be a very lucrative deal on his end and even then I'm not so sure he would play fair.
<DeathStar> <Gwen> I just am curious why the Wind of Spirit is hanging out near his mansion. *studies Bix*
<Jackieness> <Lana> "He wanted to turn the Ancients on us and give them Id."

<Xanatos> 6* BIx tilts his head and gives Gwen a thumbs up.

<Seraphna> Alita> Curiosity, I'm also hoping to find a way to make up to Sir Mal'oy for the losses he suffered against the monsters. I... failed to heal them in time.

<Xanatos> <Simon> We are also feeling a big aimless with the head of our house away training and have been trying to decide how we can best help everyone, geyze, spirits, ancients.
<DeathStar> *Sophia relaxes* Ah. Yes. It is a shame he lost family that day. The Master does not have the talent, but he has many others in the family that does.
<Seraphna> Alita> I am sure he makes up for it with skilled management. We are glad his house was not too deminished though.
