<DeathStar> *The Empress has sent Jikuu, wearing a device so she can monitor; Jikuu is also dressed designating Jikuu as her aide*
<DeathStar> *Lenneth is there since she set this up, arms crossed*

<Seraphna> **Angela muses, having decided to go since she represents a non-supernatural force**

<Jackieness> <Noire> "Our ride from our last big battle was disabled by Dark One vessels utilizing weapons that reminded be of the weapons used by the Templar ships at the battle of yggdrasil."
<Seraphna> Jaime> Think they might be Dark Ones posing as Templars then?
<DeathStar> *Iceheart makes concerned clicks on her console up top where she sits, then taps a button asking for Freyja and the younger Elwyn*
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "You don't think the Dark Ones are after Yggdrasil itself, do you?"
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Or the Templars lost and now serve my degenerate cousins."
<Seraphna> Thena> I don't think they particularly care about Yggdrassil, unless somehow they've become aligned to Mr. Snakehead.

<Seraphna> Jaime> It does... but... you can't get to that way without going through the tree.

<DeathStar> <Iceheart> We're not quite at the meeting point and somehow the Dark Ones must have learned about it. Because a great number of them are approaching to stop us. This ship is pretty strong and evasive, but against that many? No way
<Jackieness> <Noire> "any sign of any Templars?"
<Seraphna> Angela> Can we jump through?
<Alicia> <Michiru> "It'd be strange if there were."
<DeathStar> <Iceheart> Not yet since we're not near the meeting point
<DeathStar> <Elwyn> No we can't jump through
<Seraphna> Thena> "Hmm... something I haven't tried yet..."
<DeathStar> *Iceheart swivels in her chair, putting the chair in red alert, without the alarms*
<DeathStar> *on the screen are 7 spidery ships and one bigger vessel with tendrils*
<Seraphna> Thena> Have emergency beacon or shuttle with comms?
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "Something you have planned, Thena?"
<DeathStar> <Iceheart> We're not a ship with shuttles. But beacons yes.
<Seraphna> Thena> Can you rig one to blast a high alert call? I can send it into Hyperspace. Should look like a shuttle or small ship trying to cut and run.
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "...ah, I get the plan now."
<DeathStar> *Freyja moves off* I will do so and add some of my illusions to help the odds
<DeathStar> <Lenneth> Assuming illusions work on them
<DeathStar> <Iceheart> Whatever the plan, one minute until they are in range
<Seraphna> Thena> Assuming. I will also tag a small amount of what I know they do see, energy.
<DeathStar> *Freyja in a mini screen can be seen moving to the hanger*
<Seraphna> **Thena starts to set upo the illusion on the beacon with Freyja**
<DeathStar> <Lenneth> *chews on her thumb in thought* Surely illusions won't work on them
<Seraphna> **Jaime muses** Any asteroids or space rocks on the scans?
<DeathStar> *Freyja begins to chant, once the best in the team that used illusions to mess with the team and was a villain*
<DeathStar> <Freyja> The beacon is ready
<DeathStar> *the beacon now looks like a shuttle*
<Seraphna> **Thena nods** Launch it, I have the tag attached.
<Alicia> <Michiru> "What if someone heads to the hangar, then teleports back? That wouldn't be an illusion."
<DeathStar> <Iceheart> *due to pure luck, Jaime gets asteroids willed into the area* Yes there are some asteroids nearby, but not a lot. At that time, the "shuttle" flies out*
<DeathStar> <Iceheart> Wait, we really do have a shuttle?
<DeathStar> *she eyes it on screen*
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "Very convincing!"
<Seraphna> Jaime> **moves one in front of them to block scans**
<Seraphna> **Thena launches the probe into hyperspace via her tag, then falls over from the expentirue that takes**
<Alicia> * Jikuu moves to catch Thena
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Less a hangar and more a glorified launch tube."
<Seraphna> Thena> Thena need nap... and Rio massage.
<DeathStar> *Jaime would find the asteroid is very taxing to move, like moving a massive building miles and miles, making her brain scream even with her high psionic ability. As it moves, blood falls down; meanwhile Jikuu leaps into the hanger and catches Thena while Freyja is working*
<DeathStar> <Locket> I feel kind of useless
<Alicia> <Michiru> "Don't. You do fine. It's just that we have a lot of superpowered people here."
<Seraphna> Jaime> Moving... freaking skyscraper sized rocks... hard even without gravity... fuck...
<Alicia> * Jikuu brings Thena back to the... cockpit... bridge... whichever.
<Jackieness> <Noire> "If it helps, I have powers, but I'm doing absolutely nothing to contribute save the occassional snide remark."

<DeathStar> *the Dark Ones split up, some moving around the asteroid to get to the ship, some going for the shuttle*
<Seraphna> Jaime> Just help me rest it in place... **she puts a sleeve to her ear to stop t going all over**

<Alicia> <Michiru> "And McCormick martial arts are pretty much a superpower all on their own."
<Seraphna> Angela> Still some coming, but enough gone we can evade and run if needed, Ice?
<DeathStar> <Iceheart> We got 4 after us and 3 after the decoy. I'm going to try to get out of the range of what is stopping me from jumping. Everyone be sure to be buckled in
<Seraphna> **Jaime sits back lightheaded and pops a pill, strapping in, Thena mewls for someone to buckle her in**
<DeathStar> *Freyja trots in, meditating to focus on her illusion, looking troubled, while Elwyn takes the pilot controls as well*
<Alicia> * Michiru buckles in, looking to Locket. Jikuu secures the likely-sleeping Thena, then buckles in too.
<Seraphna> **Angela buckles in and sighs** This has me all nostalgic.
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "How so?"
<DeathStar> *Locket buckles in then Lenneth does. Iceheart boosts under the asteroid while the Dark Ones, like spiders, begin to fly from all sides. One manages to come after them just right as Iceheart boosts by*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "The tendril'd ship is likely the source of the interference."
<DeathStar> *Iceheart brings up the bigger ship with tendrils* Yeah, it's hanging back
<Seraphna> Angela> I remember hiding in terror while Dark One fleets hunted us back when Warren wasn't ancient.
<DeathStar> <Iceheart> It might be a problem still
<Seraphna> Thena> Hehe... they must be frustrated figuring out how something exited their weave like that.
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "That was a long time ago..."
<DeathStar> *the one ship that was closest begins to follow them, a tendril sniping them and the rolls are bad, it snipes them and crushes a section of the shields, alarms wailing a moment* <Iceheart> 40% shield lost but we're pulling ahead
<Jackieness> <Noire> "I wodner if I could disguise this ship as a Dark One vessel... I mean, too late for it now, but maybe for next time."
<DeathStar> *another bad roll and it strikes the same area* 20% shields
<Seraphna> **Angela frowns and begins to help with engineering**
<Seraphna> Jaime> Not... sure I can hurl a rock at them till I rest.
<DeathStar> *Angela would find Iceheart's engineering being near the hanger places, damaged areas screaming back there; Elwyn brings up weapons*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Also rolls the ship over s they cna't hit the same spot so easily, darling."
<DeathStar> *on the bridge and weapons appear and fire back*
<Alicia> <Michiru> "Mom told me of back then. Those were crazy times."
<DeathStar> <Elwyn> I got a slight hit. We're pulling ahead
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "Will we be fine at least until we reach Templar space?"
<Seraphna> **Angela muses, then closes her eyes a moment, soemthing in the hangar stirs and then leaps out the back and into the dark ship, roaring into nothingness** Fuck... that's 1 down out of three and I liked that model.
<DeathStar> <IcehearT> I'm not rolling it just yet. *she nods at the ship ahead which is getting in their way*
<DeathStar> <Iceheart> I want to see what it does
<Seraphna> *MOntana Mk 35 would try to hulk on the ship chasing them as it crashes itself into it, in it's attack mecha form**
<DeathStar> <Iceheart> So any of you think you know what might be causing the jamming? *The ship looks for the most part normalish, but it much larger than the normal spider ships. But it has tendrils all over it, like a tendrily ship*
<DeathStar> *the two objects smash into each other behind them and the spider ship gets even further behind*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Again, that its a Templar ship under that mass."
<Seraphna> Thena> Likely a tendril... or the tendrils act as antennas to the core of the ship.
<DeathStar> <Lenneth> Really? I'm not seeing it
<DeathStar> <Locket> I never saw a Templar ship to know
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Just my theory. I havne't ruled out that were lured into a trap."
<DeathStar> *Iceheart motions* Shoot as many tendrils as you can while we fly by and try to get ahead
<DeathStar> *Elwyn takes one set of gun controls and fires*
<Alicia> <Michiru> "It'd explain the ambush, but it's not the only explanation."
<Seraphna> Angela> Well I only have Stella and Iridia left. And no Cheryl or Mi'Na to mech with.
<DeathStar> *Elwyn damages one but doesn't destroy it but does take out antoher and misses another. The ship shudders but as it nears, it opens a hanger to try to suck them in*
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "You can 'mech' with more than one person?"
<Alicia> <Michiru> "That feels like cheating."
<Seraphna> Angela> Something we gained from Geyze Dragons.
<DeathStar> <Locket> We don't talk about how Angela and her ability to shack up with multiple women
<Jackieness> <Noire> "...we've been extended an invitiation to a party that we don't want to iattend."
<Seraphna> Angela> Who there missy, do I need to go into the list of people who taught me to be awesome?

<Seraphna> **Angela forms a large greatsword and aims it out the back, holy energy coalescing around the blade**

<Seraphna> **Angela fires a holy blast out the back and into the enemy hangar**
<DeathStar> *Angela's first blast misses, but now they are closer - try again*
<DeathStar> <Iceheart> We're going to overheat the ship's engines if I keep straining them to not be pulled in
<Seraphna> **Angela blows a stamina on it and fires again, this time the larger version, shotgunning it**
<Alicia> * Jikuu moves forward to assist if this doesn't work
<Seraphna> Angela> ANGELA STYLE DRAGOON BUSTAH!
<DeathStar> *the first shot misses again*
<DeathStar> *even with a 1 out of 2*
<Alicia> <Michiru> "Isn't that Zephyr's trademark?"
<DeathStar> <Locket> Yeah she's a thief.

<Seraphna> Angela> She's my sister! And grrr! **she locks and loads, firing again**

<Alicia> * Jikuu takes a deep breath, before summoning up a ball of hyperspace and launching it at the Dark One vessel.
<DeathStar> *Locket blinks at Jikuu doing that; Angela and Jikuu's shots hitting the ship and tearing through it*
<DeathStar> *Iceheart zooms away and hits the jump button, escaping*
<Alicia> * Michiru looks to Locket.
<DeathStar> <Iceheart> We're on our way to the meeting point
<DeathStar> <Locket> How many Progenitors do we have now?
<DeathStar> <Locket> I thought like a few
<Seraphna> Jaime>Oh, she counts as two.

<DeathStar> *Lenneth just flips a page on her book* She's the Empress' Seer. Don't ask questions

<Alicia> <Michiru> "No-one wants to anger a progenitor."
<DeathStar> <Locket> So. I have to ask the serious question now. Are we in trouble when we arrive?

<Seraphna> Angela> Doubt it, I think they respect people that can get through a Dark One fleet with one small cruise ship.
<Seraphna> Angela> Even if we have a divine group.

<Seraphna> Angela> The Dark Ones didn't want us to get to them. What does that tell us?

<DeathStar> <Freyja> Most likely Angela is right. *She folds her hands together in her Kimono* So, who would like to join me in my hotsprings. *She moves off*

<DeathStar> <Iceheart> I tried to make the ship as much like a temple grounds and Japan like for Freyja as I could
<Seraphna> Jaime> I have a mud bath and hot springs in my place on the PAX.

<DeathStar> *as they arrive, they indeed find the Templar grounds has a protect field around the hotsprings to keep the water from leaking out into the ship. The entire grounds literally set up to be like a holy grounds area and the water blessed to restore energy and fratigue*
<DeathStar> *and it has fun objects to play with it in the water*
<Seraphna> **Thena slips inside naked faster than one could blink, and Angela works on taking off her clothes**
<Jackieness> <Noire> *goes off to change out of her clothes like a responsible sempai*

<DeathStar> *The Empress taps her fingers on her arm* Well we have come to the conclusion how they have grown their army, fleets, and other things to massively in the past month. *she eyes the territory now belonging to the Dark Ones, which has exploded*
<DeathStar> *on the board shows ship taken over by the Dark Ones - including Cartel, EarthGov especially, Suisen in some cases, and a few Erusians*
<DeathStar> *Andrea looks tired, sitting there, back from her well hunt, about to set out once more* It's getting harder to go out
<DeathStar> *for being a "teen" she looks ragged*
<DeathStar> *Ren sits there, looking pregnant these days* So, how are they doing it?
<Seraphna> Angela> Soul Engine.
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "Is this the work of the well?"
<DeathStar> <Empress> They are using the common dead now; it does not matter who. As long as the body is still useable enough. Imagine how many systems that is. And using them to overcome ships and commandeer them
<DeathStar> <Empress> And then fight against us with them.
<DeathStar> *Warren grunts* That is a new tactic
<Seraphna> Angela> In short until we remove the well, we have zero chance of turning this around.

<Seraphna> Angela> When you have swarms you don't need elegance in your attacks. Eventually the enemy just folds.
<DeathStar> <Empress> I agree. And we are losing valuable materials to the enemy
<DeathStar> <Empress> Even if we stop the well they will have them for a time
<Jackieness> <Noire> "More insidious... as thheir enemy folds, they turn on their former fellows."
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Their momentum accelerates as a result."
<DeathStar> <Andrea> Sorry..it's harder to find the well than I thought. And to the populace it's like a zombie attack and they are freaking out
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Because it *is* a zombie attack, mother."

<DeathStar> <Lenneth> I hate to picture what goods our allies might be losing to these "zombies".
<DeathStar> <Cheryl> The odd thing is the previous war, the Dark Ones only used the well for well placed attacks by killing an ally and then replacing them
<Seraphna> Angela> Perhaps because we know to look for it now, they've switched that method.
<DeathStar> <Cheryl> So that they could keep an eye on us and then having the "ally" cause trouble
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "I'd say they're getting desperate, but I think it's more that they're not underestimating us now."
<Seraphna> Jaime> I still say they're simply more primal than Andrea's lot.
<DeathStar> <Warren> In war, you do what it takes to win
<DeathStar> <Warren> If I have a weapon, I'm going to use it to it's fullest
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Also perhaps the intelligence behind them has changed..."
<DeathStar> <Warren> Not some underhanded tactics. The shapeshifters can fill in the role the well did before
<Seraphna> Angela> True enough, but the way they're rushing this fight? Cheryl's probably right about desperation.
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Are the Templars pressuring them... or somethign else?"
<Seraphna> Angela> If they were really secure in winning, the infiltration route would be the most effective and thorough.
<Seraphna> Angela> It is possible that the Templars have begun to win on their end.

<DeathStar> <Warren> Sooner or later the Templars are likely to wipe them out

<DeathStar> *Locket breaks the neck of her's then drops down quickly to avoid the attacks by Angela, the slashes taking out the rest of it's body*
<DeathStar> *Tabetha's steps forward with another and both grab her body, preparing to break her body, but the TK on the one slows it down, TK having trouble it seems. As Tabetha begins to black out, Adeline joins in TKig the other one*
