<DeathStar> *the fight is set up and Celeste gets into the ring with a buff looking strange fighter that dual wields. They appear to be an alien unknown to all of them. Sadly, they have learned it is to the death. The counter begins ticking down in the small cicular ring with spikes all around it; one way to win is to knock the other into the spikes, or to kill with your own weapon*
<DeathStar> *As the timer hits 0, the fighter comes in toward Celeste, glowing with a red aura*
<Alicia> * Celeste readies her blade, preparing to counter the moment the fighter moves to attack.
<ChadWinters`> 6Durt leans back from where they are watching. 1"Think she can commit to killing them?"
<DeathStar> *The fighter swings a few feet away, the red aura flashing and Celeste is flashed as if they slashed her at close range; they follow up with a combo from long range, the attacks hitting her*
<DeathStar> <Lorelei> ... Part of hates that powers are allowed again due to stuff like that
<DeathStar> *flashed - slashed
<Alicia> * Celeste swings to block the aura strikes, and deflect them back at the fighter... or just away, if that doesn't work.
<DeathStar> *she manages to deflect the attacks as if they were real sword strikes - somehow, but they aren't deflected. It seems to work just like real attacks*
<DeathStar> *The fighter keeps his distance, occasionally doing his flash/slash attack, keeping her at a distance and making her parry*
<Alicia> * Celeste moves in closer, blocking strikes as she approaches, despite the difficulty, seeming to be considering something
<ChadWinters`> <Durt> Hmmm. 6He leans forward, taking a more analytical positionn. 1"Seem's he's using that red aura to extend his range. Might mean he doesn't have much endurance and can't take a lot of punches.
<DeathStar> <Lorelei> Yes. *she watches* Celeste is good at true swordplay, I think he is realizing that.
<ChadWinters`> <Durt> If she can either close in or make him burn out that aura, she should be able to swim. As long as it's not a feint.
<DeathStar> *The fighter has paused and switches to a blue aura, firing balls at Celeste since she has no dex. and will have more true blocking it; but it also means he's more open to being bumrushed*

<Seraphna> Kaelan> I am choosing NOT to trap Valen in a mobius foxhole to prove him wrong.
<DeathStar> *the ball manages to wing Celeste due to low dex, but even due to her Templar training she rushes forward despite that slashes at the fighter, who lifts his sword, forced into a kneeling positiion*
<DeathStar> *he pulls out a knife with a free hand, looking to stab her in the gut*
<DeathStar> <Lenny> Grrr. Celeste!
<DeathStar> <Lenny> Show him who is boss. Do not let this fiend win

<Alicia> * Celeste strikes, pulling her blow at the last moment, blade to the enemy's neck, hesitating... but the blade is still there.

<Seraphna> Kaelan> I've like literally killed multiple gods and personally survived possession. Huff.

<DeathStar> *they arrive at the elevator pads and are taken upward to the fourth floor; where the arena looks even bigger. The death trap around it has acid this time. The are shown to their rooms this time. A massive main room, with women for each of them, food, and personal rooms inside the room*

<DeathStar> *each room having a bath and everything* <Vesper> I feel like I am out of a job. *Zegretta shrugs, standing with Sia and Lia*

<DeathStar> <Alien> They are unsure if she should be alive or dead due to how her fight with this fighter you are about to witness. It was an epic battle, but she fellinto the acid, but somehow managed to survive - but only after the fight was called for the other
<DeathStar> <Alien> It is being debated if she should be killed on the spot or allowed a rematch
<DeathStar> <Lenny> I cnanot imagine she looks well if she fell into acid
<Xanatos> <Valen> Could we absorb her into our group?
<DeathStar> <Lorelei> I tried once when we were on different levels and she wanted to keep going aloen
<Xanatos> <Valen> That still counts as a loss but it prolongs her death until we fail.

<DeathStar> *they arrive at the ring where the hooded figure who was spying on them*

<DeathStar> *they seem to be facing a strange puppet wielding creature, giving off strange energy*

<DeathStar> *the puppet wielding user sends the puppets for the hooded one and the puppets seem to fire off energy blasts and other tools, trying to bind the hooded figure, who slashes with a scythe and dash away from the puppet master*

<ChadWinters`> <Durt> And considering everything you've ever come across, how is that weird?

<Xanatos> <Valen> Which one shoved her in acid?
<DeathStar> *The scythe wielder twirls and seems to be tangoing with the puppers, as more appear from the pupper master, now baby looking ones.* <Alien> It was not so much shoved, I hear; their blows knocked her into it. But the hooded one. The scythe and the sword clashing knocked your friend back
<Alicia> <Celeste> "Oh, so not the doll master."
<DeathStar> *the scythe wielder demonstrates just that by slamming her scythe down to send the puppets back, crushing them to bits, then slams the doll master with her scythe, sending them flying*
<DeathStar> *before throwing her weapon and impaling them in the air and boomering them back to them*

<DeathStar> *the hooded figure, at 6 of 7, steps out of the arena and shakes their weapon clean of blood*

<Seraphna> Kaelan> Oh she’s not happy with how our souls have basically been tossed around by destiny.

<ChadWinters`> <Durt> Well I see it two ways. We can either approach her and see what her intent is, or we give her space and hope we don't cross paths with her.

<Seraphna> Kaelan> Our big advantage is we can rotate fighters and always be at our best.
<ChadWinters`> <Durt> But we can always guess wrong on our opponent and then be screwed.
<DeathStar> <Rachael> And we have 7 fights on this floor and 10 on the next before we can face Amazo.
<Seraphna> Kaelan> Solos can get worn down and if they take a permanent injury they're basically done.
<DeathStar> <RAchael> It would be great if we could have Mercy or Moira join us
<Seraphna> Kaelan> I guess I'm talking to Moira.
<DeathStar> <Rachael> Those two are pure demons
<DeathStar> <Lorelei> Mercy clearly does not want us to take out Amazo for some reason or has plans for Amazo
<Seraphna> **Kaelan frowns at that again, trying not to dwell on Mercy**
<DeathStar> <Lorelei> So that might make her our enemy even if we do not fight her
<ChadWinters`> <Durt> On the other hand, having Mercy weaken other opponents is an advantage for us.
<Seraphna> Kaelan> She's... worked for a God before.
<Xanatos> <Valen> Honestly I'm not sure I can hold my own in a solo fight at these levels. I have defense on my side but if we run into anyone who can outdamage me...?
