<DeathStar> *while this is going on, Taiga begins her work on trying to buff up the Taiga engines on the Aquarius with what funds can be allocated and the PAX's crew continues to deal with the aftermath of the war with the Dark Ones*

<DeathStar> *next to her are stacks of paperwork, many of them complaints*
<Xanatos> 6* Pepper is actually helping work on the Aquarius and isn't completely blitzed out of her head.

<Xanatos> <Xan> So when do we start trying to smooth over some of the unrest? Maybe we could just be upfront with them that the war took a lot out on us and these increases are only temporary?

<Seraphna> Jaime> But the one thing a building tends to keep is a foundation.

<DeathStar> <Selena> So, how do we go about it today? Look for secret passages? Knock walls out? I mean we found a dead maid in a wall the other week

<DeathStar> *all the stonework on this floor seems to be passage free that they haven't explored*

<Seraphna> Jaime> I suppose if I could get lower I could tell you if something's deeper.
<DeathStar> <Selena> The basement was explored by mom I think a while back, so nothing to be found now

<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Between your mother and myself, we have torn most of this castle apart in our youths."

<DeathStar> <Selena> Yes, mom was quite the tomboy
<Seraphna> Jaime> What if it's not hidden in the CASTLE, but the Spirit Realm around the Castle?
<DeathStar> <Aska> I oversaw the construction of there.
<DeathStar> <Aska> For her to sneak that in would be rather bold

<DeathStar> <Selena> The spirit realm?
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "No... the item that started this treasure hunt. Perhaps it has a clue hidden about it."
<DeathStar> <Selena> Oh no, there was no item persay. *She thinks* Just we're hoping mother left something behind. Some clue, a message. With Chronos gone and the time gate gone...
<DeathStar> <Selena> The only thing we know for sure I saw that looked like them was the painting and she hid that

<DeathStar> <Selena> And this sword that looked like it was made for Mother Liana. *she hefts the ancient hero's weapon, that looks like it was forged with some strange metal*

<Seraphna> **Jaime muses, peering at the sword a bit confusedly for a moment, then tchs** The painting might have a further clue on it somewhere, so far I haven't felt below the castle itself or in the Spirit Realm.

<DeathStar> *Aska seems to believe they are wasting their time, but begins to float along*
<Seraphna> **Jaime walks with her**
<DeathStar> *she floats up to the second floor and begins to move along a random hallway when before them is wavering field*
<DeathStar> *Sylph hops inside*
<DeathStar> *Selena slips inside the field and on the other side - the hallway looks the same and feels like they're still in Hapian castle, but the atmosphere changes and feels more ... purerer, even with the area having a fog like feel*

<DeathStar> <Aska> I pardon the ... fog. The Spirit Realm contiues to become a little more unclear with every passing decade
<DeathStar> *Selena glances about* So, where did you want to look now? *she eyes the map* This is only a partial castle here.
<Ariel> * Nicolette closes her eyes a moment as she steps through. "As fun as secret passages are, if there's anything, it's probably a lot more subtle. If it's even left intentionally." She laughs, "I... wow. At least it's not smog. Fog I can take."
<DeathStar> *Selena muses and takes some stairs down to a ground level, though being in the spirit realm, this part of the ground level is only a partial one, like the castle was partially chopped in half; clearly Aska semi chopped it, placing parts at random into the spirit realm, to make invaders confused*
<DeathStar> *this area seems to be a back corner, facing part of a hedge maze*
<DeathStar> <Selena> Well here is the ground level. There are 16 sections of the castle that are in the Spirit Realm
<Seraphna> **Jaime muses, wiggling her toes and feeling out in the spirit earth**
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "There are even gardens on this side."
<DeathStar> <Aska> Yes. They are maintained eternally here
<DeathStar> <Sylph> ... *studies some stuff, looking ... zoned out*
<DeathStar> *the back corner just seems to have a few of the maze, a few tables, and a light fixture that looks very, very ancient. Infact, the tables look quite old - like no one hs bothered updating them in hundreds of years*
<DeathStar> *must not want to go into the spirit realm and change out stuff*
<Jackieness> <Sasha> *looks about the furnishings*
<Ariel> <Nicolette> "It's almost like a haunted house... without all the dark evilness at least."
<Seraphna> Jaime> Hmm... nothing buried, maybe something's hidden among the furnishings?
<DeathStar> <Selena> The tables don't look that old
<DeathStar> <Aska> As I said, sneaking something past me would be nearly impossible
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "The style is archaic, so likely time is not affecting them here."
<DeathStar> <Aska> Yes, since people rarely come in here "relax". I think the last time an Empress updating the decour was a few hundred years ago.
<Seraphna> Jaime> Mmm, and if they were simply putting furnishings in these places without mentioning anything hidden inside them? Do you check them Lady Aska?
<Ariel> <Nicolette> "Yeah... there's a good chance that they didn't try to hide anything from Aska..." Still, she turns to her deck, trying to scry if anything was simply... left here, to be found later.

<Jackieness> <Sasha> "Though it is hard to imagine anyone on the Geyze side coming here in any sort of regular basis."
<Seraphna> Jaime> If you wanted to keep something out of prying hands till the time was right.
<DeathStar> <Selena> I admit I only came in here once as a short cut into the spirit realm
<Ariel> <Nicolette> "Hm... I'm surprised. I didn't think this side would be updated so often, but there's nothing older than the light there."
<DeathStar> *Selena cranes her head up at the light fixture, turning the light on and finding it working*
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "No, I don't think this room hs anything that you are looking for, niece."

<Seraphna> Jaime> Time doesn't seem to really effect the Spirit Realm.
<DeathStar> <Aska> Most of the lighting in this side is the original light fixtures
<DeathStar> <Aska> See the spirit -tech?

<Jackieness> <Sasha> goes over to examine the lighting fixttures*
<DeathStar> *there's nothing hidden in the light fixture itself, but it's clear that whoever designed it was probably a first timer and that in the main castle improved upon the spirit-tech*
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "I would say this is first generation Hapian spirit-tech."
<DeathStar> <Selena> Hm, since it's the oldest thing should we check every area's spirit-tech?
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "It wouldn't hurt. It would, at the very lest, let us date the chambers and even see the evolution of the technology."
<DeathStar> *Aska nods and takes them to the next room, where there's a dining hall for guests, one of many, on the third floor, with a long,beautiful table about 5 centuries ago, but above it is a massive, ancient chandlier; Nicolette's cards would almost positively give off a feel*
<Seraphna> Jaime> Well we have a metric to work with at least.
<DeathStar> <Selena> That is one of the biggest spirit-tech designs I've seen
<DeathStar> *The spirit-tech on it is much larger that it almost looks too big*
<Jackieness> <Sasha> "We need to get up there to examine it... carefully."
