<DeathStar> 6* Valen and Rachael have been given permission to attend classes at the Academy on Geyze, provided they take the major classes of math, science, etc. in the college on the PAX to do whatever electives on Geyze. Rachael is down on the Academy and looking to see what she wants to take for summer classes at the Academy. The Academy for it's part has been rather laid back - it is summer after all, and the Alliance team has been spending the past few months doing various missions - some going to the Island to investigate, the others dealing with the monsters that have been becoming a problem. The Dark Spirits, for their part, seem to have completely vanished

<Sara> <Chelsea> Sometimes I think absolutely everything comes from the same fundamental building blocks. *she notes*

<MobileAri> <Nicolette> "I can definitely feel the differences between them, but... they really feel a lot less powerful than I was expecting. With the spirits, they're absolutely gushing energy... are the runes more... controlled?"

<Sara> * The Mew seems to be able to mostly move on autopilot as one would expect, and an infrared view can be seen on one display, along with the spotlights lighting the way
<DeathStar> <Erevis> Fire, Wind, Water, Earth, Lightning, and Ice are the main elements of this universe with Dark and Holy (Light) the secondary elements
<DeathStar> <Erevis> People are born with one element at birth. Typically their soul is infused at birth with an element that fits their nature.
<DeathStar> <Erevis> On a rare occassion they might have two but it is something that almost never happens
<Sara> <Chelsea> And those couple of cases where it changes, right? *she notes simply*
<DeathStar> <Erevis> Yes, it can happen. If something happens to shock or change the person's nature to a fundamental degree, it can change
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Ohhhh! How do they get two? What does it mean? Can it cause problems? Can they be contradicting elements?"
<DeathStar> <Erevis> Since it is so rare, I cannot tell you how. But I would say if they are contradicting elements - that person would likely have their soul torn apart inside

<Seraphna> **Jaime smiles sheepishly** I'm Dark Element despite how close I've become to Earth.
<MobileAri> * Nicolette counts the elements. "That's really similar to spirits... but... hmm. Are they really the fundamental building blocks? I mean, have they ALWAYS been?"

<DeathStar> <Erevis> For the most part. You are wondering if there is another element out there and maybe there is another primal element.

<DeathStar> <Erevis> So far the runes and Spirits do seem to match the same elements.

<Xanatos> <Simon> Variants do exist. Chronos controls time after all, and that is a very distinct power.

<Sara> * With her katana in hand, Chelsea follows the rest out

<MobileAri> * Nicolette watches Sylph curiously, not having the common sense to actually stop her. She's curious, after all.
<DeathStar> *the wind does not blow a lot, and the fog sits heavily. As the group walks out, Sylph sitting on the ramp with her wind Rune, Erevis walks out and looks around*
<ChadWinters> <SPoC> It is hard to see any distance.
<Jackieness> <Lana> "The fog may be part of the island's defenses."
<ChadWinters> <SPoC> That would like you believe the island is alive.

<DeathStar> *The two ship spirits look weak going far from the ship and they stumble back to the ship's protective field*
<Sara> <Chelsea> The whole planet is alive, you know.
<DeathStar> <Gwen> Looks like spirits can't go far
<Sara> <Chelsea> Repelling spirits, huh?
<Sara> <Chelsea> Ominous.
<ChadWinters> <SPoC> Every planet is techincally alive. But in this case, I am referring to the island actively reacting to something that steps on it as if it has an intelligence.
<DeathStar> *as they talk, the group would hear footsteps*
<DeathStar> *and shadows appear in the fog*
<Seraphna> **Jaime peers around**
<MobileAri> <Nicolette> "...I don't think we're alone out here."
<ChadWinters> <SPoC> The scans did reveal life forms.
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Just like the field in the other island..."
<Xanatos> <Simon> Hello? We come in peace. 6* He calls out.
<Xanatos> 6* Xan has his pistol ready, but is aiming at the ground for safety.
<ChadWinters> 6SPoC shifts her stance, readying up her gun but also keeping it aimed downwards
<DeathStar> *Erevis squints ahead and suddenly tribal looking people step out of the fog, wearing barely anything; their clothing, even for the women, only covers their lower halves, making Gwen flail and cover his eyes. Tattoos are all over their bodies in designs like some ritual and they are holding what looks like spears*
<DeathStar> *the people begin to surround the group, their spears doing a beat on the ground as they make noise*
<Sara> <Chelsea> Oh! Tribals!
<ChadWinters> <SPoC> Should we fire a warning shot?
<DeathStar> <Gwen> I'm not looking, I'm not looking
<MobileAri> <Nicolette> "I think... maybe you need a different island."
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Last thing you want to do is frighten them."

<Xanatos> 6* Simon holds his own spear up towards the sky and extends his arm out wide.

<DeathStar> *they all peer at each other, and slowly they begin to reach for Simon, perhaps ominiously*

<DeathStar> *the group finds themselves in a cave, at a rock table, the tribals on one side, the group at another, rock cups filled with tea, and the tribals sipping their's all sophisticated*

<DeathStar> <Tribal> What bring you. *Xanatos' datapad translates*
<Xanatos> 6* Xan glances down at it, then to Simon.

<Xanatos> <Simon> We are explorers. 6* He thinks then offers out some of his lunch, which is a mixture of fruits and vegetables, along with some jerky.
<ChadWinters> 6SPoC peers around the cave for any markings or paintings
<DeathStar> *The cave seems to be rather posh - at least by Tribal standards. And the Tribals here seem to be having debates in their languages and musing on thigns. The paintings, what little there are, are all fancy looking*

<DeathStar> *The Tribal leader nods, sipping his tea* Explorers. How quaint. *they try some of the fruit* How can we help you?
<DeathStar> *Erevis turns to Nicolette* So anymore questions on elements?
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Considering things? I wish eveyrone we met was this cultured and civilized."
<Sara> * Chelsea deadpans at being called quaint by tribals, but allows the others to handle this
<Xanatos> <Simon> We simply seek knowledge. We come from the continents 6* He gestures in the direction.
<ChadWinters> <SPoC> Yes. For some of these painting, the techniques are...advanced and require the right tools.
<Xanatos> <Simon> Our allies, the spirits become ill in this area and we are curious why.

<DeathStar> *The Tribal nods and muses* We are told there is an island some ways away. Has an old god deep underground. Very powerful magik.

<DeathStar> *Spoc would find a tribal kid showing their tools are rocks, small berries, and rock tools*
<Xanatos> 6* Simon pauses and glances at Lana, then begins to gets his bearings enough to point in the direction of the island they discovered.

<DeathStar> <Tribal> *they whisper amongst themselves* We believe so
<Jackieness> <Lana> "See? Now ask what they know about it."
<Seraphna> Talia> Where are all the good fish?
<Xanatos> 6* Xan's translator repeats Lana's question and he gives her a thumbs up.
<ChadWinters> 6SPoC tilts her head slightly at that and she moves back to the group.
<Xanatos> 6* Simon grows quiet as he thinks about the best course of questioning.
<DeathStar> *Erevis leans over to Nicolette* I can tell this will be a while. It turns out this island knows practically nothing a bout the other island, but they are treated well and led to a great area for fishing.

<DeathStar> <Taiga> It's still a little faster but not super fast like it once did

<ChadWinters> <Durt> Well it's less supplies and credits in designing and I imagine more making sure the ship being designed will work together. And it appears it's just Taiga and Airym working on it.

<Xanatos> <Kellin> Just a thought, then we could get going with this while the real ship is being built.
