<Seraphna> Jaime> A lot of this is new. The forest usually doesn't need defenses this beefy... though I guess it started being more careful after those outlaws...

<Seraphna> Jaime> They must be from the Naturalists... which would explain the tensions.

<Seraphna> Jaime> Fire breathing creatures aren't exactly friendly to forests.

<Seraphna> Jaime> They were once divided, but Leaf and Cassava's union united the people of the Wood.

<DeathStar> *Erevis muses* The city does seem tense. Half of the city seems unhappy with the other, but it is not just Ents vs. Venus.

That the Peacekeepers aren't enough. That we need to have a small army after everything has happened. And she has changed in other ways

<Seraphna> **Jaime raises a brow** Other ways? I don't completely disagree with her on the first especially after the monster attacks... but what else is happening?
<Seraphna> **Jaime seems to be forming an idea in her head on how to deal with the desire for local militias as she talks**

<Seraphna> Jaime> See, the Daemons had some blood connection to some of the monsters, and they were able to be influenced by their Monster Lords. I just want to rule out the possibility.

<Seraphna> Jaime> Nah, but the idea that they should drop arms and be peaceful is what they built their friendship on.

<Seraphna> Jaime> They just need to come to an understanding that they're only protecting each other, and that it won't become agressive.

<DeathStar> *they all move to where Cassava is talking to a group of the citizens, showing them how to use weapons and use their abilities - the Venus are more skilled with various things but it seems Cassava more than takes the time to teach the Ents to make up and bring out their skills in their areas*

<Seraphna> Jaime> Well, the Summoni could probably handle making stronger defensive barriers than thickets and picket lines. And I can teach vine combat.

<DeathStar> <Cassava> The Monster Lord now controls monsters. The Great Forest is full of monsters. And there are more threats than ever. And the Peacekeeper force is not able to handle things here in time. I will have a small force here to handle our problems.

<Seraphna> Jaime> Also... I think you should emphasize the importance of this as defense for the people of the Wood. Especially with Leaf. She's concerned you've been acting different and I'd hate to see you two grow apart. We can get her to understand, I'm sure of it. You can be peaceful and still protect yourselves.
