<DeathStar> *Lemon's team stands outside the ruins of Darien's and Ariel's house many many miles north of Mega City, a ruined, charred building that has burnt out hours ago from the explosion that was called in by concerned neighbors. Vesta runs around worriedly.
<DeathStar> *Adeline is on comms, back at the manor where she arrived the day before with Sunny Jr, Zayne's kid after she was attacked by what they believed by V.I*
<XanTop> 6* Kane stands there, peering around curiously while a few of his drones zoom around scanning.
<DeathStar> <Adeline on comms> I'm checking the data being sent
<DeathStar> *Vesta kneels by the rubble, checking for signs of life*
<Seraphna> **Jaime sticks by Adeline quietly, a look of deep concern on her face**
<DeathStar> <Lemon> Someone really used a lot of explosives to take this place out
<DeathStar> *Kane's scans pick up something in the main room*
<DeathStar> *or what is left of it*
<XanTop> <Kane> I'm getting something. *He moves in that direction, glancing between his datapad and his feet*
<DeathStar> <Adeline on comms> I'm bringing it up now and constructing it for you, Dad. *the reconstruction happens before them - the main room rubble looks different as if someone used their power to shield the people in it from the explosion*
<DeathStar> *leading to the rubble being displaced differnently.*
<DeathStar> <Vesta> Does that mean grandpa and grandma are alive?
<XanTop> <Kane> Do either of them have an ability that could do this?
<Seraphna> Jaime> Ariel probably has something, if Angela's sword abilities are anything to go by. I doubt Lisa was there though.
<DeathStar> *Cheryl walks over, adjusting her trench coat from the cold*
<DeathStar> <Cheryl> Ariel has more abilities than you can shake a stick at, but if she has the Rune Sword.
<Seraphna> **Angela peers over the place with a frown**
<XanTop> *Kane kneels to observe some of the rubble, a drone moving close to it to see if there's any trace energy readings.
<XanTop> <Kane> Would Starr have an underground bunker or anything of that nature that they could have retreated too after the initial defense?
<DeathStar> *there is faint signs that the Rune Sword was indeed used. But where the two went afterward is hard to tell* <Lemon> Hm. <Vesta> Grandpa? He probably has something. He's not as paranoid as Warren though
<Seraphna> Angela> I'd be shocked if he didn't.
<DeathStar> *Cheryl muses, eyeing the woods on the property, her right hand slipping into her coat* I feel like we're being watched. We're a bit out in the open here. A kill box of sorts
<XanTop> <Kane> I'm more confident they defending the initial blast. The Rune Sword was used.
<Seraphna> Angela> **forms her armor and sword** Yeah... this is a perfect ambush point.
<DeathStar> *Vesta shifts her gaze out to the woods*
<XanTop> * Kane taps a button and the drones begins to circle around them, sensors faced out towards the woods.
<DeathStar> *At that moment, a sniper shot fires out and Vesta goes down and one strikes Angela right before the drones finish*
<DeathStar> *Kane's sensors slowly begin to gather information*
<DeathStar> <Adeline on comms> One moment
<XanTop> <Kane> Down. Can anyone see Vesta? Is she okay?
<DeathStar> *more shots begin to come in as Cheryl ducks by the rubble*
<Seraphna> **Angela grunts and falls backward, the rolls, her armor sparking as she moves to cover**
<DeathStar> *The drones now in protection mode*
<Seraphna> Angela> How bloody on queue.
<DeathStar> *Lemon hisses, hiding behind a drone as she scans - the enemy's positions appearing in the woods*
<DeathStar> *There is oddly only 4 of them - snipers*
<Seraphna> **Angela leans back and focuses her healing on her shoulder, grabbing a small device and hitting the button on it**
<XanTop> * Kane shifts around, peeking out of his cover slightly then leans back, sliding the pieces of his rifle out he begins to assemble them quickly.
<DeathStar> *more shots begin to slam into the drones and others into the rubble*
<XanTop> <Kane> 4 Targets.
<DeathStar> <Cheryl> You okay there Angela? *She peeks out*
<DeathStar> *Vesta rolls over, grunting and Lemon pulls her the rest of the way in*
<Seraphna> **Angela takes a breath, nodding** I'll be fine. Get me a coordinate.
<DeathStar> *Cheryl eyes the drone information then rushes out, using her lock on ability and rushes forward, trying to lock onto the enemy for everyone*
<DeathStar> *Even as the shots begin to target her*
<DeathStar> <Lemon> That idiot. Kane?
<Seraphna> **Angela focuses and there's a terrifying bang from above as Dakota falls into the first sniper's location at max velocity**
<DeathStar> *The woods shake*
<DeathStar> *Chii begins to bring the shuttle forward, flying it towards the woods to help out*
<XanTop> * Kane shifts around now that Cheryl is rushing and takes aim, keeping his breathing steady he pulls his free hand out and hits a few buttons to send what few drones remain in after Cheryl to do a classic take the bullet for her sort of thing.
<Seraphna> **It then roars as it stands and starts mowing through trees towards the next closest**
<XanTop> * Kane attempts to spot the sniper furthest away, going for a takedown shot if he can get it. Not a kill if possible.
<DeathStar> *Kane manages to save Cheryl it seems as she was already taking a few hits, the remaining not hitting the drone. Cheryl arrives at the woods and begins to lock onto more of the enemies with her glowing eye as Kane drops another sniper. Chii crashes the shuttle into another, smoke rising from it*
<Seraphna> **Another Beta lands by Cheryl gracefully and starts helping in the shielding**
<DeathStar> <Lemon> *hefts Vesta up* Is that all of them? *At that moment the comms with Adeline begins to act up*
<Seraphna> **Anegla seeingg they're down to one then rushes to Vesta to help heal her up**
<XanTop> * Kane shifts, scanning manually to try to find the other sniper, assuming the chaos would get them running.
<DeathStar> *Kane is indeed correct, the final sniper has taken to crawling away*
<Seraphna> **Montana likelyt barreling right through where it was**
<DeathStar> *Lemon eyes her datapad with Adeline, when it begins to act strange; a ghostly figure reaches up and grabs at Lemon before corrupting the datapad*
<DeathStar> <Lemon> What in the....?
<XanTop> * Kane releases the shot to take the crawling one out fully.  *
<Seraphna> **Angela blinks and swings her sword towards the figure since she's close now**
<XanTop> <Kane> *c* Cheryl, the furthest one back should be down, we can interrogate.
<XanTop> * Kane pauses and glances over at Lemon *
<XanTop> <Kane> What's wrong?
<DeathStar> *Cheryl acknowledges and goes to retrieve the bodies*
<DeathStar> *Angela swings through it, the figure already vanishing slowly after corrupting the datapad*
<DeathStar> <Lemon> Ah... I don't know...
<Seraphna> Angela> What the hell was that?
<DeathStar> <Lemon> ... *she holds out her dead datapad* Whatever it was it killed my datapad connection with Adeline
<Seraphna> **Angela frowns** They could be going after the mansion.
<XanTop> * Kane looks at it curiously, reaching out for the datapad. *
<XanTop> <Kane> Vesta's status?
<DeathStar> *Lemon hands it over, peering at Angela*
<DeathStar> <Vesta> I'm fine now
<DeathStar> *Chii flies the shuttle back, smoking a bit, with the prisoners*
<DeathStar> <Lemon> Can you reach Adeline, Kane?
<XanTop> * Kane taps his comm * "Adeline, do you copy?"

<Seraphna> Angela> This was only four guys, they had to know they had were up against multiple Dragoons.
<DeathStar> <Lemon> .... Alright, lets go back. We can investigate what happened to Darien back at the manor. I'm worried
<XanTop> <Kane> ...I am as well.
<DeathStar> *she hops onto the shuttle and Vesta climbs on. Cheryl is already waiting*

<DeathStar> *Lumi moves over to the bar that Luci runs, where Asarar is visiting briefly*

<DeathStar> *Celes is at the bar, sipping a drink, petting Bonnie in cat form*

<Seraphna> Luci> Should use one of those Earth Reactors. They apparently hold nuclear stuff.

<Seraphna> Threna> Hmm. **she frowns and contacts the PAX to let them know**

<DeathStar> <Lumi> *she holds up the tech and activates it. Suddenly ghost creatures emerge*

<DeathStar> *Celes jerks as undead knights rise up from the ground*
<XanTop> * Simon walks up with a satchel of materials, planning to do some final spells to scan the spirit. He halts as he sees the chaos beginning to happen. *
<Seraphna> **Luci forms her shard blades** It isn't even my birthday!
<DeathStar> <Selena> I think we need to turn that thing off.
<Alicia> <Ceilidh> "I have a really bad feeling about this."
<Seraphna> **Thena muses, then blasts one with hyperspace**

<Seraphna> Thena> **fixes her glasses, then blinks out, and back in holding Chelsea like a cat**

<DeathStar> *Cypher casually gives Chelsea an antidote like she took for drinking too much, letting it get in her system*
<DeathStar> *Ceilidh tinkrs with it and somehow lessens that output of ghosts*
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Alright. Fine." *raises her arms, summons her ethereal console and then casts a necromantic spell to try to get the ghosts under control*
<DeathStar> *which have begun to attack the people; students are heard screaming*

<Seraphna> Luci> If you reverse it will Not-Ghost appear? **she slices through a skeleton**

<Seraphna> **Luci looks up with a dork dragon face and spits out some dirt**

<DeathStar> <Lumi> .... *has a dark expression* ... how do we find the stolen spirit. It has to be on Geyze - I saw it just a few hours ago

<Seraphna> Thena> I advise the PAX they search teleportin travellers for Spirit capture devices.
<XanTop> <Simon> The spirit is missing? Ah, that is...not ideal.
<Seraphna> Luci> What do they even want her for?
<DeathStar> *lumi rubs her face* Right. Look, I might need a team to help me find the spirit. So please stand by for now. Uh, go relax at the bar and don't go far. <Celes> Her power.
<Ari`> <Nicolette> "Teleports seem likely. But... why the ghostbox? Also, HOW?"
<DeathStar> <Selena> How indeed....
<Jackieness> <Lana> "It holds a grudge."

<DeathStar> *The shuttle finally reaches the manor after taking forever due to it's damage
<DeathStar> *the manor ... looks fine*
<DeathStar> *Lemon hops out and opens the door, only to find a ton of ghosts roaming about and Jaime laying face down on the ground with a ghost sucking her soul*
<DeathStar> <Cheryl> What the hell?
<XanTop> <Kane> ... what in the world is happening here?
<Seraphna> **Angela grumbles and blasts it off her with a holy bolt**
<DeathStar> *Chii moves inside and begins to try to eat spirits - like she always threatens*
<Seraphna> Angela> Another VI attack I bet.
<DeathStar> *Lemon looks for Adeline*
<XanTop> <Kane> This doesn't seem like tech... * He moves after Lemon, checking Adeline's last known location*
<Seraphna> **Angela spreads a holy barrier and moves over to check on Jaime**
<DeathStar> *Vesta walks in, holding her side. As they move in, a voice speaks* <Voice> You shouldn't rush in - you just activate traps, you know.
<DeathStar> *Cheryl turning around and holding her whip out at the voice*
