<DeathStar> <Thomas> Ah, when we returned, the religion aspects of the Templars along with the Monks who protected them seemed to know the outcome of the battle. They knew they could not resist the might of the Templar fleet, so they took what they could of the tomes here, and other weapons and left. The Monks are not to be underestimated. They trained people like your friend Tanan.

<Dias`> <Id> I believe she already knows that.
<Sara> <Erica> Essentially we are trying to learn as much as we can about the region here and provide aid -- but we have heard there are some sort of mysterious 'dangers' in the area that we should beware of and that could become issues now that things are in the state they currently are
<Dias`> <Id> So essentially we have not seen the end of them. Hmmm. Did they not control something that could allow them to do almost anything through prayer and belief alone?
<DeathStar> <Thomas> Mysterious dangers. *he makes a dry chuckles* I will answer both of those. Yes, the monks and priests had such a power. Thankfully, they do not have powerful ships, but that prayer and belief might allow them to do more than you can belief. Like conjure up false ships made of belief. Even warp them across the galaxy through belief
<DeathStar> <Thomas> And with their monks, they have an army
<Alicia> <Celeste> "Willing ships into existance is nothing to sneeze at."
<Dias`> <Id> I assume that will take time and I imagine it must come with a hefty cost.
<Jackieness> <Airym> "While the full strength of the templars has been diminished by recent events."
<Seraphna> Cookie> That sounds mysteriously like the Dark Ones rituals.
<DeathStar> <Thomas> And I'm still trying to learn what they stole tome wise. It is one reason we've not really done much to take back lands. Another is I've not cared to try to re-establish our rule

<Alicia> <Celeste> "The pirate issue feels like mop-up... I'm more worried about the Dark Ones."

<Xanatos> <Pepper> We planted the seeds for privateering, it may be difficult to manage but flipping the pirates to work for and not against could be a nice step in the right direction for this region.

It almost looks like a Dark One, but the next drawing, clearly meant to be the same being shows horrific images of a hellish realm*
<Alicia> <Celeste> "Anyone else offering to take it and translate it would be way too suspicious."
<Jackieness> <Airym> "The only individuals who could likely translate it are likely other Dark Ones."
<DeathStar> <Thomas> One moment. *He reads over it* It says here the Dark Ones encountered something that looks liked them. The Dark Ones approached the being, who seemed to be studying them, and one of them fell over, after it vanishes.

<DeathStar> <Thomas> After the Dark One recovered, it spoke of seeing images that made even the Dark One fearful, describing images of "Hell"

<DeathStar> <Thomas> A realm beneath their own. And this being looking to find a way to bring that realm to their's. After that they would hear voices of that being and see something. *he turns the page, but it is missing*\

<Sara> <Erica> Well, we're willing to give it a shot, if nothing else. I do agree with being conservative given the situation you're in -- you shouldn't be risking life and limb right now. But we're... we kinda specialize at facing unknown threats.
