<DeathStar> *Warren opens one eye, peering at Chad, then recloses it, motioning to Thena to mark him as highly suspicious*

<ChadWinters`> I have a rough assumption as to why you wanted to meet, but please paint me a better picture.

<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "I'm a dark horse, came out of no where. More importantly, I am a credible one. The powers that wish to use Stacy Cartwright for their own purposes are going to be unhppy that she now has a challenger."
<DeathStar> *Warren shifts to glance out the window, seeing an unnatural gathering of birds, whispering something to Thena*
<ChadWinters`> There has been word amongst the more staunch Cartwright people about you.
<DeathStar> *motioning her outside*
<Seraphna> **Thena nods, looking fascinated, and mysteriously having put on one of those joke glasses with the fake nose and mustachio before facing the window**
<Seraphna> **Another Thena pops outside the window grabbing a bird like a cat, several more do the same thing and pop back**
<DeathStar> *The birds look aghast and try to fly off*
<Seraphna> **Thena traps them in crystal cages**
<DeathStar> *Warren nods and recloses eyes*
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "Then I'll get to the point. I need someone who can navigate the covert world and is not afraid to get their hands dirty. They also need to share a desire to not see Venerator or Cran gain any advantage in the future."

* ChadWinters` nods to her
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *pours Chad a cup* "I am a retired general in the Earth military, but unlike Cran and cartwright, I was not carving my own secret kingdom on of the taxpayer's credit."
<ChadWinters`> You were smart. 6He note as he takes it, taking a sip. "First problem to clear is going to keep Marcus from deciding to toss that out. If it comes out, while it'll hurt a lot of politicians, it'll potentially hurt you because you hired me."
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "What reason would he have to toss it out?"
<ChadWinters`> Well for starters he hates me. Understandably so. 6He sets the cup down. "But if he has it, someone else could get it. 6He shrugs, not seemingly phased about it. "The second problem I see is Venerator's already 'threatened' to come after me if I get on his bad side. Which means he could find other things to dig up on me.
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "If I win this election, it would be a disaster for him."
<ChadWinters`> It would. Which means he'll probably try to imbed himself with as many people he can to keep you from cutting him out if you win.
<DeathStar> <Warren> He'll probably shoot you and throw you out a window
<DeathStar> *he speaks up*
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "So was it him, Warren, or one of his proxies?"
<DeathStar> <Warren> I admit my memories are fussy. But I do not recall him directly
<Seraphna> Thena> Bet it was Derrick. He's a buttface.
<DeathStar> <Warren> I was looking into Stacey and came across... something. And someone took umbrage with it and saw me out
<DeathStar> *Warren whispers to Thena, motioning at the bird*
<Seraphna> **Thena nods and pokes a datapad at it and runs some Suisen programs over it**
<ChadWinters`> So Cassanda, knowing that my past could be used against you at some point. Are you willing to risk that?
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *gestures toward Warren* "Chad Winters, how long have we known each other?"
* ChadWinters` gives the exact years.
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "You're still invovled in alot of things. With Cheryl's team, with the Suisen government. You've even been on exxcursions that included one or more of my granddaughters."
<ChadWinters`> Sometimes the bad outweights the good no matter how much we try to tip the scale.
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "What I am saying is that there is plenty of association already. As for Marcus, we'll invite him in for tea."
<ChadWinters`> But if you're willing to take that risk. I'll accept your offer for help. 6He takes another sip of his tea. "My Weapons and I will be at your disposal. 6He sets the empty cup down. 1"Plus, it's not like I wouldn't have involved myself anyways."
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "I know. But this way we can at least not step upon one another's feet."
<DeathStar> <Warren> I can see if the chip in his head still works
<ChadWinters`> I'm a much better dance partner than you give me credit for, Cass. 6He glances at Warren. "That's not a thing anymore."
<DeathStar> <Warren> I miss pushing that button. But in all seriousness, Marcus has a moral fiber now
<DeathStar> <Warren> I would count on him to do the right thing
<Seraphna> Thena> Does Dias' chip still work?
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "In truth, he has managed to bite the bullet and work with you more than once."
<ChadWinters`> I'm not really worried about the consequences for me on it, only a fool would keep a digital record of his deeds. It's more if Venerator decides to get his hands on it.
<ChadWinters`> I'll let my Weapons know that we're changing our priorities a bit. Just let me know when you need them.
<ChadWinters`> And I'll have whichever one fits the situation best join you
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "Thank you, Mr. Winters."
* ChadWinters` nods to her as he stands up.
<ChadWinters`> I would come up with a plan to cut me free if I become a liability.

<DeathStar> *Warren vanishes in a back door, peering through a crack with Thena as he glances at the data*

<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "Mr. Winters, it seems I have a visitor from the Cartel. You can make yourself comfortable in one of the back rooms if you so desire."
* ChadWinters` nods and moves to the back room

<ChadWinters`> <Shiva> Mrs Arakawa. 6She bows slightly to her

<ChadWinters`> 6Shiva moves to come in, shifting her hands to her front now, a datapad in one hand. 1"It appears you have decided to have lifty goals as of late."

<ChadWinters`> <Shiva> I'll make it short. The Cartel has sent me to get a feel for you and your intents/plans if you win.

<ChadWinters`> <Shiva> I'm good thanks. 6She takes a seat. "So what are your intents for Earthgov if you win? Status quote or are you going to be shaking things up?
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "That could vary based upon what I find." *pours herself more tea* "Its easy to make pronouncements about business as usual or shaking things up, but really...I'm still outside the presidential office."
<ChadWinters`> <Shiva> True, but you still must have a plan.
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "Audits."
<ChadWinters`> <Shiva> I see. 6She wrties something down in her datapad.
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "Of course, any obligations we have to our partners will be honored as long as they are not found to violate EarthGov law."
<ChadWinters`> <Shiva> I think you misunderstand.
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "Please continue."
<ChadWinters`> <Shiva> The Cartel, like many of the other major races, like to know what change is going to come. And the Cartel itself is concerned with the change coming for Earthgov. While it goes unstated, your current President was more or less kept in check by Stacey. But with him bowing out, we have two unknown factors coming
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "I suppose I am one of those unknowns." *sips from her cup*
<ChadWinters`> <Shiva> Yes. Hence why I was sent here to see if things will more or less remain the status quo or if you'll change Earthgov's trajectory in a way that doesn't help the greater good.
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "And the other unknown?"
<ChadWinters`> <Shiva> Obviously, Stacey winning.
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "As you noted before, she's been running the day-to-day while Dias is focused on...his own projects."
<ChadWinters`> <Shiva> She know doubts has loftier goals herself if she wins. And while we don't mind the competition at the PAX level of politics, we also don't want to see Earthgov decide to pull itself away a bit.
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "I na assure you that I have no plans to pursue an isolationist agenda."

<ChadWinters`> 6Shiva jots something down. 1"And Military wise? Do you plan on expanding what you have?
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "Modernizing our forces, but prefering mulitlateral over unilateral operations."
<ChadWinters`> <Shiva> Ultimately, the Cartel would appreciate if you would pass on your "planned" agenda. So we can prepare properly.
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "Nothing is set in stone. I won't leave you and yours in the dark though."
<ChadWinters`> <Shiva> Of course not. You're obviously restrained by the politicians below you and public opinion.
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "An unfortunate reality."
<ChadWinters`> <Shiva> Well, while it's the Cartel's position to not interfere in other race's politics, we can more or less, if we like what we see, "lightly" endorse you
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "While I do appreciate the implied confidence, in Earth politics, external endorsements can harm more than they help. Optics, you understand."
<ChadWinters`> <Shiva> Of course.
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "Any other concerns?"
<ChadWinters`> <Shiva> Not as of now. But if any come up while we watch your race, we'll be sure to get in touch.
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "Don't be stranger. Its been too long sine we've seen each other."
<ChadWinters`> <Shiva> I'll keep that in mind. 6She moves to get up, bowing slightly to her then turns to leave.

<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "Well, gentlemen, are you just going to stay there in the back?"
* ChadWinters` steps back out. 1"It was quiet."

<ChadWinters`> Seem's the Cartel have concerns also. Interesting.
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "I don't recall the last time Shiva showd up personally on Earth with such concenrs."
<ChadWinters`> Well, from what I can tell. She hasn't been the same since she was brought back from the dead years ago. 6He crosses his arms. "And is pretty much laser focused on whatever the Cartel's leaders decide upon
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "Another thing to watch out for then."
<DeathStar> <Warren> If the Cartel is interested in what you're doing.
<DeathStar> <Warren> I'd definitely look out
<DeathStar> *he makes Thena keep an eye on the birds*
<ChadWinters`> I can tap some of my contacts in Cartel space and see what their intent is.
<Seraphna> **Thena has started naming them**
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "I'm just surprised they showed up this soon."
<Seraphna> Thena> I'm gonna call you Tsivvy. Because I'm gonna reroute your transmitter to a Tsivrixsh porn site.
<ChadWinters`> I imagine their being more pro-active. They seem to have taken that approach since the war ended
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "We'll have to keep an eye on it until we get their intent."
<ChadWinters`> If that's what you want to do.
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "What do you advise?"
<ChadWinters`> All we can do is sit and wait a bit while I look in to it. They didn't make any offers or want to make any deals. So I think it's safe to say they're going this way as legit as possible.
<DeathStar> <Warren> The Cartel usually have angle but I don't they plan to infere with an election
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "Then I'll let you work while I focus on the campaign."
* ChadWinters` nods. 1"Anything else you want me to look in to?"
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "At this point, we have no leads on immeidate threats."
<ChadWinters`> Alright. I'll start getting the Weapons up to date with what's going to happen.

<ChadWinters`> She normally wouldn't have if it was active. So if she chose to do something, she would've needed to have a clear reason.
<ChadWinters`> No point in potentially killing someone that's just being "born" and all that.

<DeathStar> *They follow; as they go along they see the old village is being "vanished" in terms and what is being built rather sturdy like compared to the village is a massive building of sorts, almost like a castle, rising up high with magics inside it already, connecting to the Tower - the Tower being the center piece as it grows taller itself. It seems to be being a slow progress even with the magic energies in this place. Linnet stands there with a familiar white haired familiar*

<DeathStar> *Linnet nods and steps into the nearest door of the castle, it looks like despite it being twisted strangely designed, one can see classrooms and other oddities. The castle practically brims with mana as they walk about the hallways and see stairways moving up higher and portraits show Delgi, the previous leader of the Magi Academy, and Linnet the current one - as well as other powerful Magi. As they near the center, they arrive at the original Tower* <Linnet> Right now we're still keeping the students down in the tunnels underground until we're done since the castle is barely complete
<Xanatos> <Simon> I imagine it has been a difficult time for you all. But your recovery efforts are very impressive.
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Did you ahve to clear alot of the tunnels? I recall them beign intentionally collapsed in the distant past."

<DeathStar> *She walks down the tower as usual, passing the familiar chamber* <Delgi> We're move some of this out of the Tower and make the Tower the Headmistress' Tower once we're odne. We're planning on doing what the Summoni are doing - offering to take the Magic Classes off of the Academy's hands - we even have a teleporter here. That way we Magi are not some seperate entity and can teach all sorts of magic for the Academy.
<DeathStar> <Linnet> So we want to get repairs done as soon as possible.
<DeathStar> <Linnet> But we realized we needed a larger building for that too
<Jackieness> <Lana> "Oh, this is an oppportunity. We could collaborate."
<DeathStar> *As they reach the bottom, everyone comes across in the walls, a large magic object in it, that has a spell cast on it by Linnet to boost it even further. It looks to be a horn of sorts, and it seems to be giving off massive amounts of mana to anyone above it*

<Jackieness> <Lana> "Ahhh..." *examines the object*
<Seraphna> Jaime> It's like a Spirit Relic, but for Mana.

<DeathStar> <Linnet> By putting it in the wall, it's making all magik users above it stronger. I'm very thankful for the person who found it
