Rachael lazes about in the cafe with Cloé while they try to finish their forums*

<Alicia> * Akatsuki goes over all the mentor options, having no answer at the moment
<Jackieness> <Moira> "Whose idea was this, again?"
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "Who would even be a good option for me or Akatsuki? We are both a little specialised in abilities..."
<Jackieness> <Moira> "...what do you do, again?"
<Alicia> <Akatsuki> "Reikana would be the best option for me, but... I can hardly expect her to take time from her idol work to train me."
<Seraphna> **Nox muses, looking at her form** I already worked with my Moms, so not sure who else to really look for.
<DeathStar> <Rachael> It's all about picking from who works in the Universal groups and who - outside your own parents - compliments you best. And pretty much everyone you know is part of it

<DeathStar> <Yuki> So you want a mentor that focuses on Dark Ones and Dark Spirits. I know a candidate that can do both. *She brings up a face*

<Alicia> <Akatsuki> "I want someone who can help me train up my song magic, dark one abilities, and work better with Jikuu... being a kitsune or dragoon is a bonus."
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "Given the last part and the overlap with some of our goals, having the same mentor is probably helpful for me too."
<DeathStar> <Yuki> I see. *She jotes some notes, then studies the Idol group* Unfortunately, you both will need to have different mentors still, but you'll be in the same area if that matters.
<Alicia> <Akatsuki> "I'll deal with that."
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "I am okay with that as well."
<DeathStar> <Yuki> Out of the idols, the only ones with Dark One abilities is really Reikana. We have kitsune Idols, but they lack Dark One abilities
<Seraphna> **Thena looks over Yuki's shoulder and nods**
<DeathStar> <Yuki> And Jikuu, what are you looking for?
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "And for me... finding a psychic progenitor with experience dealing with dark ones is too much to ask, so I have had to decide what to focus on."
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "...really, all the progenitors are already family anyway."
<DeathStar> <Yuki> So do you want a sister... or... something else then?
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "Dark Spirit training is good, psychic training is good, anything that helps me work better with those close to me is good..."
<DeathStar> <Yuki> Ah, okay. *she motions at Thena to pick someone for Jikuu and turns to Cloe*
<Alicia> * Jikuu nods, trusting Thena to not go too crazy there
<DeathStar> <Cloé> I want to, um, work on plugging a weakness if that's okay. Is there any people who can um, teach me strategy. I already have enough training in my familiar stuff and strength
<DeathStar> *Yuki jots notes and picks someone for Cloé* I'll see if I can hook you up with someone.
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "Good call. Your strengths are very strong."

<DeathStar> <Yuki> You have any ideas on what you'd like to focus on if you don't have a name?
<Seraphna> **Thena muses** Maybe Jikuu should train under Jaime. Could work with me or Heaven though.
<Jackieness> <Bella> "Ummm... well..." *looks around* "...I'm trained in stealth... and martial arts and using tech tools. Don't have any special powers. Can anyone make me uber?"

<Seraphna> Cookie> **looks up from her ramen** Could try Ben, though Jennifer might be a better fit in understanding what it's like to not have powers. Or their Dad yeah.
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "Warren and John are really the top choices for becoming uber with no special powers. John is not the stealth sort though."

<Seraphna> **Cookie nods** ANd Jennifer trained under Warren and John so they're both good choices too.

<DeathStar> <Yuki> Ben is an unusual type. Same with Warren. It depends on what you feel you want to strengthen or feel is weak

<Jackieness> <Bella> "Well... we don't have to stick with only ine metnor, right? We do kind of... circulate to round us out?"

<DeathStar> *The team has been transported to a training world with various biodomes that has a jungle, dessert, a massive city, etc to show the various landscapes. Standing next to each other is Nell - Yuki, Nox - Kyouki, Akatsuki - Reikana, Jikuu - Jaime, Cloé - Chad, Bella - Ben
<DeathStar> *Yuki stands there in her armor and gear, in the center of the city dome*
<DeathStar> <Yuki> Alright, you'll be with your mentor for 2 days. After which we'll meet back up here at this point
<DeathStar> <Yuki> Keep in mind, whatever your mentor says, you do while you're here.
<Alicia> <Akatsuki> "Of course, of course!"
<DeathStar> *Ben is fiddling with his bag of supplies*
<DeathStar> *Cloé is all suited up and hiding Chad*

<Seraphna> **Jennifer has a special tactical suit on and her gear, looking over her sister**

<Dias`> *Chad shifts his back pack a bit over his shoulder as he glances back behind himself at Cloe* You sure you still wanna do this?

<Jackieness> <Bella> *hauls if up* "Alright, we'll bunk down wherever they put us."

<Dias`> *Chad glances over at Ben* And where's our end goal?
<DeathStar> <Ben> *Eyes the manual* Surviving and teaching the kids over 2 days then meeting back here. In a few hours this place will become more hostile

<Dias`> *Chad looks over at Cloe* So how do you want to go forward with this? On our own or with the others? *He pulls out his datapad as he looks over some information*

<Jackieness> <Bella> "Sure. We could even use this opportunity to crosstrain."

<Dias`> <Chad> So, Cloe. What exactly do you want to get out of me? *He studies her, glancing befrienly at Bella*
<DeathStar> *He points out things in the windows* You need to notice things ahead of time. Kill points that may pop up later. Right now we're out in the open and can be shot at from all these vantage points
<DeathStar> <Cloé> Right. I'm fairly strong, even though I run out of power quickly; I also don't have good tactics. I asked for someone to teach me good tactics and to observe better. I usually end up getting caught due to that
<Jackieness> <Bella> "To be fair, we usually all end up getting caught when we come to rescue her."
<Dias`> <Chad> I think I can help with that. You learn better by watching or doing?
<DeathStar> <Cloé> Doing. Momma had me learn what I have so far by doing that
<Jackieness> <Bella> "The same. Mom-1 believed in throwing you into the deep end." *looks at Ben* "Mom-2 is one of the best NetRunners on Kumen, so I need to brush up on using those types of tools."
<DeathStar> *Ben seems to be doing a hand drawn map of the area as they walk; they pass what looks like a basement, with the doors sealed shut*
<Dias`> <Chad> Ben's correct on his assessment of our surroundings. When you first walk in to an area, assess what's infront of you. If you're slow at that then slow down. Watch before entering and stick to areas that provide cover.
<Jackieness> <Bella> "That's weird..."
<DeathStar> *Ben muses* We'll see if we can't raise your awareness. For example this kind of stands out
<DeathStar> <Ben> Especially with all the high rise buildings
<Jackieness> <Bella> "Yeah. Tots weird."
<DeathStar> <Cloé> Should we sneak in?
<Dias`> *Chad glances at the door* How would you approach it?
<DeathStar> *Cloé thinks, studying the building itself* With it being locked, I suppose forcing it open would cause a reaction.
<DeathStar> <Cloé> Maybe I'd maybe go into the building itself and see if there was a way into the basement?
<Dias`> <Chad> If it's locked, odds are it's locked for a reason. So, usually that would mean it's being watched. If you have an ability to by pass like a fox hole, or a ripple or a shadow port. There could be something set up to block that. Or alert. Things to keep in mind when making a decision.
<DeathStar> <Cloé> Sadly, I cannot teleport. Maybe Bella can!
<Dias`> <Chad> From our location, can you see what kind of lock is holding it?
<Jackieness> <Bella> "Not without a tool that could teleport me..." *looks up along the building* "...if we could get into the building, we might be to access the basement internally."
<DeathStar> *Ben tenses as a noise echos through the city and lights begin to appear in the windows; Cloé squints* It looks like ...a strange Earth like lock. *She decribes what appears to be a padlock*
<DeathStar> *weapons begin to appear in the windows. Ben moves Bella to the doorway of one of the buildings*
<Dias`> *Chad glances around, his hand shifting to his holster as he looks around at the lights turning on in the windows* Time is also something to be aware of. If all else fails, and you're pressed for time, brute force is always an option. *he glances at the earth like lock* before shifting in after Ben, motioning Cloe to follow*
<Jackieness> <Bella> "...honestly... I thought we would have a workshop or lab or something while I test out gadgets...." *moves to cover with Ben*
<DeathStar> *Ben flips through the map*
<Dias`> <Chad> It's possible that what's behind that door will shut down this area's security.
<DeathStar> <Ben> And there are safe zones where support teams can build stuff
<DeathStar> <Ben> The starting spot was one

<Dias`> <Chad> Do either of you see a safe way to get their?
<DeathStar> *Cloé transforms back* A key in the building we are standing by. *she eyes her tail and has a bit of paint on it* It was taped to the wall
<Jackieness> <Bella> "...who does that?"
<Dias`> <Chad> They want to make things...beatable. Odds are that key is for that locked door. Another key thing is knowing your teammates abilities so you can best use them to complete your goal.
<DeathStar> <Ben> I imagine the city biodome is probably the easiest area to train
<Jackieness> <Bella> "Unless its a trick."
<DeathStar> <Ben> As well.
<DeathStar> <Cloé> So should I not use the key?
<Jackieness> <Bella> "We could... but we need to be smart about it."
<DeathStar> *The paint guns have stopped firing for now*
<DeathStar> *As if waiting*
<Dias`> <Chad> Bella, you fast enough to distract them to allow us to get to the door?
<Jackieness> <Bella> *sets down the bags* "...oh yeah."
<DeathStar> <Cloé> *readies herself with the key*
<Jackieness> <Bella> *gets into a sprinter ready position*
<Dias`> <Chad> Find a safe spot to go to then wait. We'll signal you whens its clear
<Jackieness> <Bella> "Where is the nearest safe spot?"
<DeathStar> *Ben checks*
<DeathStar> <Ben> It's here
<DeathStar> *He points at a garage*
<Jackieness> <Bella> *checks and then gets ready to run for it* "Got it. Tell me when."
<DeathStar> <Ben> Alright. Cloé - in position? 3...

<DeathStar> <Ben> Go. *He readies his weapon as well*
* Dias` takes in a deep breath as he get's ready

<Jackieness> <Bella> *takes off running, zigzagging toward the garag*
<DeathStar> *Cloé runs for the basement to use the key while the paint guns fire at Bella. Ben provides cover, firing and taking a few out*
<Dias`> *Chad dashes after Cloe*
<Jackieness> <Bella> *sprints and tumbles about like a gymnast tweaked on speed*
<DeathStar> *Cloé opens it up and throws it open, bouncing as she does*
<DeathStar> *As Bella gets out of range of Ben's cover, more shots come raining down; up ahead the garage can be seen*
<Dias`> *Chad slides to a stop by the door and turns, firing shots to cover Ben
<Jackieness> <Bella> *runs a beeline for it, trying to use cover when she gets clsoe to the garage*
<DeathStar> *Ben grabs Cloé and gets inside; once in there is various equipment plugged into what looks like a server and a paint gatling gun laying on a table*
<DeathStar> *Bella makes it into a safe zone with an even better working station for stuff than the stating area, better equipment to make tools, better food and repair items, and a timer begins*
<Dias`> <Chad> So how well do you know how to access computer systems?
<DeathStar> <Cloé> None what so ever.
<DeathStar> *Ben studies the server, musing on what it means*
<Jackieness> <Bella> *peeks outside*
<DeathStar> *the paint guns seem to be active, looking for the others but not her*
<Dias`> <Chad> Then after this, I can show you some basic stuff. And set you up with a hacking program to learn on.

<Jackieness> <Bella> "I get it...when you go into the safe zone, you are not targeted until the timer goes off."
<Dias`> <Chad> You may not excel at it, but even just a little might be enough to get your out of a pinch. *He pulls out his Idlet and it floats over to the server, moving to access it* That gun on the table, tell me about it.
<Dias`> <Chad> Also, always keep an secure line open to your team when you seperate. So contact Bella and see what's going on with her
<DeathStar> *it appears to be a paint gun that fires rapid shots like a real gauntlet gun, allowing the user to take out targets in the blink of an eye* <Ben> I'll bring this along
<Dias`> <Chad> Id's working on the server. I can leave this Idlet here and have it rejoin us when it's done.
<DeathStar> *Ben comms Bella* Update? *the server meanwhile seems to indeed be the paintguns in this area of the city; not all of them. And it seems to count on a high hacker skills to bring them offline, probably another test for those with hacker abilities*
<DeathStar> *so they can shortcut and save themselves a hassel who brought a mentor along or had the skill already*
<Jackieness> <Bella> "I'm in the safe house. Guns have stopped targeting me. I think you're marked as safe when you reach the safe house."
<DeathStar> <Ben> That's good to know
<Jackieness> <Bella> "There's a countdown though. I'm guess that will end when I'm no longer safe."
<DeathStar> <Ben> We'll try to catch up
<Jackieness> <Bella> "I'll sit tight. There's food and workstations in here that we cna use."
<Dias`> <Chad> I can shut them off in this area for now and potentially other areas. Or I could mess with the other areas too. *He has Id turn off their area for now*
<DeathStar> <Ben> It looks like the safe areas have count downs but more importantly work stations
<Dias`> <Chad> Let's catch up to Bella. We should be safe, but keep your wits about you
<DeathStar> *Cloé hurries to the garage*
<Dias`> *Chad jogs after Cloe*

<Seraphna> **Jaime muses** We could really train anywhere, but would you benefit from training alongside Akatsuki?
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "We work well together, and are likely to support each other a lot, so I believe so."
<Jackieness> <Reikana> "So this place is a giant obstacle course? Not gonna lie. I havne't done fieldwork in a while."
<Seraphna> Jaime> **muses and inspects Jikuu's hands** How's your mastery over your body and hyperspace? Get damaged still?
<Alicia> <Akatsuki> "The obstacle course bit is going to be the hard part. I can turn song into magic, but that's not going to help me go places."
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "Last time I got hurt, I had been trying to use both hyperspace and dark spirit power at once, so... usually no, but it can be hard when I do not concentrate fully."
<Jackieness> <Reikana> "those powers are usually used to cancel defeat the other. They are normally opposed, right?"
<DeathStar> *all around them are high buildings with lots of open windows*
<DeathStar> *the streets extending in all directions if they choose to walk somewhere*
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "That is what makes it hard, and also why I try. You know the yin yang ball?"
<Seraphna> **Jaime muses a bit** I'm thinking we should work on that focus until it's second nature. It will lead to you being able to combine your powers more easily.
<Alicia> <Akatsuki> "Aww yes, that sounds amazing."
<Seraphna> Jaime> I think Thena recommended me because your Darkness is more rooted in Spirit and I regularly combine my Hyperspace with Spirit Energy.
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "...that is perfect."
<Jackieness> <Reikana> "I use my song to inspire my friends. You're not going to be singing walls into rubble."
<Seraphna> **Jaime nods and leads Jikuu aside to start teaching her techniques to avoid hyperspace damage that Empress taught her what feels forever ago now**
<Alicia> <Akatsuki> "Right, I'm better support than anything."
<Jackieness> <Reikana> "And that's ok. You could brush up on your physical skills to keep yourself out of danger while you support others."
<DeathStar> *a nois echoes through the city and lights begin to appear in the windows*
<Seraphna> **Jaime peers about and sighs, forming a stone room around herself and Jikuu** First we're going to go over projection.
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "Understood." *notes the stone room formation, wondering if she can do a similar trick in future*
<DeathStar> *weapons begin to appear in the windows*
<Jackieness> <Reikana> "...they seriously created a trapped training facility..then dropped support personnel without protection here?" *goes to grab a gun from a window* "This sort of thing is more my sister's area."
<Seraphna> Jaime> If you pacted with Gnome or Terra, then yes you could do something like this.

<Alicia> <Jikuu> "Can a spirit pact with a spirit? Or am I not enough of a spirit to... I am confused."

<Seraphna> **Jaime muses** Well as a Dark Spirit your powers are as such, those of Darkness. Perhaps you couild work out a way with those powers to move earth and rock to form a shelter, but it would be much easier with the powers of an Earth Spirit.
<Jackieness> <Reikana> "Ever use a firearm before?"
<Alicia> <Akatsuki> "It's not really my thing, but I guess I'm here to learn!"
<Jackieness> <Reikana> "...also... run!" *starts dashing* "We'll need to find some weapons!"
<Alicia> * Akatsuki does indeed run, using foxholes to make shortcuts
<DeathStar> *the guns fire away, trying to hit them with paint*
<Jackieness> <Reikana> "There you go! You cna use your foxholes to reorganize the battlefield!"

<Jackieness> <Reikana> "Probably, but whatever that was stole all the food. Get Jikuu and jaime out of their shell. We need to find a new camp."
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "Pretty good. There is nothing that can burn me there, so it is hard to tell if I am fully proficient though."
<DeathStar> *it looks like Cloe and Bella are in the lead with Nell second and their group last currently*

<Dias`> <Chad> Well, we can only carry so much with us. So figure out what's important we need to restock. And what we might want to bring with us.
<DeathStar> <Cloé> We have food. <Ben> If we want to take out the guns again we just need some equipmen from this place. What all do you need Bella?
<Dias`> <Chad> Don't focus on the points. You're goals are to learn different ways to approach things..
<Dias`> *Chad glances over and see's if he can build a small emp device*
<Jackieness> <Bella> "I can fight empty-handed if it comes to that. Range might be the problem. Any gadgets here that might be useful? Mom used to give me some spirit-tech devices when the job called for it."
<DeathStar> <Ben> Alright. *Chad would indeed find some equipment to build it while Ben shows Bella how to build such spirit-tech stuff*
<Dias`> <Chad> Simplest thing, is a small pistol. Easy to hide and carry.
<DeathStar> *mainly focusing on making a spirit-tech infused glove as well*
<DeathStar> <Ben> True but it depends on how good of a shot she is

<Dias`> <Chad> Practice. But also it can cause your opponent to be more cautious.
<DeathStar> *After they finish their equipment and the timer beeps 0, Ben glances up*

<DeathStar> *Ben begins to set out; as they re-enter the gun zone, Ben slows down and points out the gun patterns to Bella and Cloé, showing ways to avoid them*

<Jackieness> <Bella> "Right... maybe we cna take out the guns with that bug gun you found."

<Dias`> <Chad> An alternative, would be to take away their ability to track us. Any of you have any ability to dust up the area?

<DeathStar> *Cloé focuses and her hair goes white*
<DeathStar> *Cloé draws on her magical powers to pulls wind and dust from the area to cloud it up; as she reverts back to normal, she looks a bit drained in mana a bit but quickly begins to move for the skyrise*
<Dias`> *Chad moves watches to see if the guns lock on to her before taking off after her*

<Jackieness> <Bella> *moves along afetr Cloe, keepign an eye on the guns*
<DeathStar> *As they enter the resturant proper, the safety timer turns on; inside is a ton of food*
<DeathStar> *as well as a work station in the back and pipe bombs made of paint*
<Dias`> *Chad looks at Cloe* How much does that ability set you back?
<DeathStar> <Cloé> *sits to rest while Ben looks around, studying everything they have here*
<Jackieness> <Bella> "Check it out. Party favors." *hodls up some bombs*
<DeathStar> <Cloé> Not as much as my other form, just couple. Since I'm a single familiar, I have to use my own mana to change forms. So I have to take a little to restore it
<DeathStar> <Cloé> If I wasn't a half familiar this would be dangerous
<Dias`> <Chad> It still can be dangerous, I think. So use it sparingly and only when you have someone like Bella here to protect you and cover for you.
<Dias`> <Chad> But good work on getting us past so many.

<DeathStar> <Ben> Lets secure this spot and rest for now. I'll see if I Can find another gun disable location spot on the map with Chad's help. And we'll keep at this until we find a spot that gives enough time to let us sleep

<Seraphna> **Jaime huffs and launches into the air via a pillar of earth**
<DeathStar> *Cloé rises, her eyes narrowing with cat like vision; she speaks into the comm as Zephyr rises, her shoulder having paint on it as she reads it* She's been hit and strangely positioning her gun as if it were real
<Seraphna> **Nell looks about them slides for cover**
<Dias`> <Chad> She's probably going to be pissed at me but. That should help. *while laying on the ground, he fires a stun shot through the window with his gun,
<Dias`> *curving it towards Zephyr's location*
<DeathStar> *Erevis floats up as Zephyr jerks and falls over*
<Dias`> <Chad> Did we get her? *He looks back over at the others in his group*

<Jackieness> <Bella> "...think she went down...and I just spotted Erevis in the air."

<Alicia> <Jikuu> "I want to say I did well, but it is hard to judge since so much of my training was learning and improving, and not achieving the goals of the mission."
