<DeathStar> *Fate observes the battle with the PAX and the Universal Fleet against the Serpent, taking note of everything going on; it looks like the massive hammering against the large Serpent might do enough damage against it, but once again the large Serpent seems to revitalize and pulls out a massive attack that wipes out most of the fleet and damages the PAX to the point it's forced to crash, before it moves onward to do what it normally does. After observing the doomed future once more, Fate quietly vanishes*

I know that thing has been making moves in the other reality lately, but after hearing about Yggdrasil possiibly being able to be controlled like a system - Taiga knows more about reality systems than most outside Adeline.

<Dias`> <Chad> She's had access to the PAX's systems for years now. She most likely wrote in a code like I did years ago to erase her from the ship's sensors.
<Alicia> <Victoire> "The Charlotte of my timeline once mentioned hiding off grid with Adeline at more than one point. She never said where though."

<Seraphna> Jaime> Signs show her possession was more of a glancing blow. Did anyone else have a bump after the tree?
<Dias`> <Chad> Well, everyone went through the same protocol of being examined
<Seraphna> Jaime> And…?
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "Likely, the hunter is still on the tree."
<Dias`> <Chad> That or it hitched a ride on someone without taking control.
<Seraphna> Jaime> I think the Hunter wasn’t on the tree to begin with actually. I think it was on the Aquarius.
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "It was not on the person who sent the signal?"
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Or the dead villager we found?"
<Dias`> <Chad> At this point, how it got to where it is isn't that high of a priority. What is, is finding where it went to.
<DeathStar> <Cheryl> What makes you think it was on the Aquarius to begin with?
<Seraphna> Jaime> They could be one and the same. The Hunter merely had to ride a telepath.
<DeathStar> <Cheryl> Out of curiousity
<Seraphna> Jaime> The signal. You need time to program that many people.

<Seraphna> Jaime> Pursuing her own ideas since no one seems to want to trust her with current plans.
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "That was never the issue."
<DeathStar> *Taiga cleans her glasses*
<Seraphna> Jaime> We’re doing what we can and keeping an eye on each other so we don’t hurt the rest of you.
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "All I have been asking is that you keep her safe from Serpent influence... which would be mostly Hunters."
<Seraphna> Jaime> That’s my main thing at the moment.
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "Then you are doing everything I could possibly ask."
<Seraphna> Jaime> And she’s watching for when I start speaking cthonic and blowing people up.
<Seraphna> Si> I feel like that would be hard to miss?
<DeathStar> <Lenneth> So it seems you and Adeline wish to remain apart for now. Is that wise?
<Seraphna> Jaime> I don’t know. I don’t know if it would be wise for us to be close to things either. I’m not showing it because I need to maintain the barrier but I’m pretty freaked out.
<Dias`> <Chad> Someone you both trust should remain by her then. Either Lemon or Kane I imagine would be the best options.
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmm...then what would you suggest?"
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Well, if people don't want Adeline working on things, I guess I'll take a look at the tree stuff. I'll submit some people to take over Asteroid C.
<Seraphna> Jaime> Lemon might be best. We have another too.
<DeathStar> *She sounds annoyed*
<Dias`> <Chad> That's up to others to decide. If she's cleared of any Hunter influence, it shouldn't be a problem to have her working on things.
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "I will admit, I would rather you both keep away from Yggdrasil, just to avoid any kind of Serpent influence."
<Seraphna> Jaime> If you want her back on this I can ask her. We were both a bit… put off by how things happened.
<DeathStar> <Lenneth> Do you want her to look at the tree stuff even though that's data the Hunter had practically steal?

<Dias`> <Chad> There's other things she can work on I'm sure of. *He glances at Jaime* Her actions had immediate affect on Kaori. It's only natural for people to question those actions.
<Seraphna> Jaime> About that. Just remember we have a loaded gun the hunter failed to take. There is likely a reason it wanted it. Even if it was to jerk control from us.
<Dias`> <Chad> If she can't handle that or move on from that, then that's on her I guess.
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "I am aware of this. I am also aware that loaded guns need to be handled with care."
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Rather than continuing this paranois, we should work on countering the Hunter takeover ability."
<Seraphna> Jaime> It was more how in the middle of a hunt for a body possessor the first assumption was not… you know, that she was possessed.
<Dias`> <Chad> And based on how you're speaking, we were justified in those concerns.
<Alicia> <Victoire> "You know that *was* my first assumption?"
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "Also that this was a thing we were scared of from the beginning?"
<Dias`> <Chad> Regardless, there's no point in having a pissing contest on hurt feelings. The Serpents not going to wait around.
<DeathStar> *Lenneth motions at Taiga to prepare for her assignment* We'll find something for you and Adeline to do
<Seraphna> **Jaime frowns, looking at people quietly**
<DeathStar> *Fate meanwhile seems to have been sitting there, observing the group; right next to Kaori*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmmm? Well... we have a guest... and she has not been seeing our best face."
<Alicia> <Victoire> "Fate, why is Jaime so convinced I think Adeline is bad?"
<Dias`> <Chad> I'm sure she's already seen our bad sides numerous times.
<DeathStar> <Lenneth> Adeline knows the Asteroid C systems and the PAX systems, either of these two assignments would greatly benefit from her. And she can even remain in the walls

<Seraphna> Jaime> I’m sure Fate has seen every face we can pull.

<DeathStar> *A moment later, the entire conference room vanishes.*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmmm?"
<DeathStar> *Adeline uses a camera to peer into the conference room after they're gone*

<DeathStar> Location: ???
<DeathStar> *The group appears on what looks to be an asteroid controlled by Fate, viewing what seems to be Yggdrasil and a massive fleet*
<DeathStar> *Cheryl takes a look around while Fate set up a spot to sit, kneeling*
<DeathStar> *As if she does this often*
<Dias`> *Chad glances around, quickly taking in their surroundings before locking on to the massive fleet*
<Alicia> * Victoire seems to be trying to memorise as many details as possible
<DeathStar> <Fate> The future changes often based on your decisions. Sometimes there's a PAX, sometimes there is not. Sometimes you rally a fleet with allies from other worlds, sometimes those allies do not make it in time. *there does not appear to be reality allies right now*
<Seraphna> **Si muses, thinking**
<DeathStar> *the tree begins to split open as a massive looking serpent begins to emerge; the tree seems to be trying to glow and hold it in, almost like a realiy barrier is doing something, but the it easily breaks through it* <Fate> That is a new one. *Taiga's ears twitch, as the serpent begins to gourge a hole through the mid section of the tree. When it's clear enough it's safe to fire at it, the fleet fires into the massive serpent, trying to blow it away even as the tree looks ill now*
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "Mmm, I think I understand where the barrier came from."
<DeathStar> *Even though the fleet clearly is blowing chunks of it off and doing a good amount of damage, the serpent begins to tear through the fleet, ripping through the weaker ships, while the stronger ships like the Aquarius, Nyao Nyao, and the PAX rip off more and more of the outer parts. One would think this massive serpent would just DIE, but it keeps going and going until it finally fires a beam that destroys everything and then continues onward, taking out the planets near it and then on toward Earth, consuming them to restore it's destroyed flesh. Earth, oddly, has no protective field in this future, and it consumes the plant whole*
<DeathStar> *After restoring itself, it heads back to the tree to finish what it startd*
<DeathStar> <Fate> We should probably leave soon
<Dias`> <Chad> Hmmm
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "No barrier around Earth?"
<DeathStar> <Cheryl> Would it even slow that thing down?
<Seraphna> Jaime> Something must have happened to Andrea.
<Dias`> <Chad> Hard to say.
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "Probably not, but it is still a concern."
<Alicia> <Victoire> "Is this related to what happened to the dark ones?"
<Dias`> <Chad> Ultimately, we need to remove the remaining Hunters.
<Seraphna> Jaime> Each part is trying to stop an impossible force from the outside…
<DeathStar> *The group returns to the present* <Fate> The Serpent sometimes loses more than 60% of it's mass, sometimes hardly any of it
<DeathStar> <Fate> But it is a beast and consumes to restore itself
<Seraphna> Jaime> Have we ever tried to kill it from within?
<Dias`> <Chad> ...That's still a pretty massive swing. *He taps his finger on the table, thinking*
<Alicia> <Victoire> "So, how do we starve it?"
<Jackieness> <Noire> "No... my loss of power would not affect mother..."
<DeathStar> <Fate> You could attmept, I suppose to enter the serpet when it becomes solid, but the window will be narrow
<Jackieness> <Noire> "And its streangth clearly comes from the destruction it inflicts."
<Dias`> <Chad> This all seems to hinge that we decide to stop it when it's fully grown, or failed to stop it from fully emerging while it's smaller
<Seraphna> Jaime> If we could calculate where it would be safe to be inside while it isn’t solid…
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmm... but such a safe island could be useful to inflict a killing blow."
<DeathStar> <Cheryl> Everything feels like a narrow window. We know the serpent has two halves, one in each universe
<DeathStar> <Cheryl> I'm guessing it comes together on that day
<Dias`> <Chad> And we had talked about potentially splitting up in to two ground forces. One going to the other side and the other trying here.
<Jackieness> <Noire> "...the only place safe to fight it would be a void where it has nothign to consume as it is worn down."
<DeathStar> <Cheryl> If we could do enough damage it might not be big enough. Fate, have you calculated our victory with that? <Fate> Sadly, I can only calculate victories on current paths most of the time. Either that plan fails or you never enact that plan or you do not have enough moving parts yet to help in addition to that plan
<Dias`> <Chad> Than let's focus on getting more pieces on the chess board.

<Dias`> <Chad> Until we can devise a fool-proof way to scan and find them, knowledge is our only way to slow them down.
<Seraphna> Jaime> It comes out on this side because the Mirrorverse is a hostile void right?

<Seraphna> Jaime> I was wondering what could happen if we somehow shunted it out the other way.
<Seraphna> Jaime> At the very least it would have nothing to feed on.
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "I assume it would not enjoy it, at the very least."
<Dias`> <Chad> Unless it can feed on things over their and just doesn't until it's done here.

<DeathStar> <Fate> Long ago, I came here to monitor you. Becareful. The serpent is just a tool. A beast. But there is real intelligence behind it. It will adapt given time and being part of Yggdrasil, either it will adapt, or "it" might goad it into adapting

<Dias`> <Chad> If it's part of the tree...then it's possible we could use the Centerpoints controls to affect it. *He glance sat Victoire* There's not much that can't defend against reality powers. The amount needed scales up with the end goal
