<DeathStar> *Adeline goes with Lemon toward the dining hall, where people are already gathering. Entertainment has been provided, where they are singing and playing instruments in the corner and staff is making sure to pour sake for the mostly male clientel here, but there are females here that have come to relax. Adeline and Lemon take up seats, scanning the room*

<Xanatos> 6* Kane sits with them.
<DeathStar> *The serving staff come over to see what they wish to eat and drink*
<Seraphna> **Sephie sits with them and Libbie wanders a bit**
<Seraphna> **Thena orders a pile of food**
<Xanatos> 6* Kane just orders some miso soup and couple pieces of tuna.
<DeathStar> *Lemon gets some sake and as well as some traditional dishes; Adeline passes on food for now*
<Seraphna> **Sephie orders Adeline’s favorites, totally for herself and not to cheer her mom up**
<DeathStar> *As they finished ordering and the server rises, suddenly across from them is Spade and Wade, sitting there as if they had been there the entire time8

<Seraphna> Sephie> …Okay that was classy. Hi Uncle Wade!
<Alicia> * Red Fox either doesn't seem to notice, or has known from the beginning. Or she's just unphased.
<Dias`> *Cel comes in a bit late and sits down, eyeing the slight tension*
<Xanatos> 6* Kane looks at Wade, tilting his head very slightly to evaluate him see if he can pick up on anything...off.
<Alicia> * Kyouki walks in, having been called for this occasion. Or at least, to check up on Wade.
<Jackieness> <Josephine> "Maybe we should just invite them over."
<Seraphna> **Libbie offers Wade a Japanese snack**

<DeathStar> <Wade> *He seems to consider his words carefully, glancing at Kyouki briefly, then back* How do I say that I feel jealous of my sister's power while I have none for myself? *at first it wold appear he's talking, but the group would realize he's psionically talking in their heads, his lips never actually moving*

<DeathStar> <Wade> I've had to practice for years to do this much. While with sister, she could do all this when we were kids
<DeathStar> *Adeline seems to be biting her tongue, trying to feel any of Spade's influences*
<Xanatos> <Kane> I have no power. Others have had no power and achieved great things. Abilities are tools but will not in themselves make you great. To make a deal with the devil for something more...

<Seraphna> **The girls shift protectively closer to their mother**
<DeathStar> *Adeline eyes him, chopsticks trembling and rising in to the air like she might launch it at him*
<Seraphna> **They each grab an arm**
<DeathStar> <Spade> And here I thought you had more self-control
<Alicia> * Kyouki pauses, considering...
<DeathStar> <Spade> So how does this play? Am I allowed to walk out?
<Seraphna> Thena> Assume that is all you can do.
<Alicia> <Red Fox> "Please, don't taunt them, they're angry enough."
<Dias`> *Cel reaches up, tapping her neck again* Oh he knows exactly what he's doing.
<DeathStar> <Spade> I could hurt the boy's feelings and tell him I won't bring him along. If you prefer.
<Jackieness> <Josephine> "...the room is full of civilians."
<Seraphna> Thena> We suggest assurance of his well being if you do take him.

<Alicia> <Red Fox> "This sort of thing is why I've been keeping quiet on the subject."
<Xanatos> <Kane> You would leave him here with the assumption he will seek you out any way, correct? Then let's play that part of your game. Tell him to remain, we will appeal to him as best we can and eventually he will seek you out. You still get what you wanted but we at least get to make our attempts.

<Xanatos> <Kane> At least then we know we've tried and your manipulations were far too great.
<Seraphna> Thena 4> As far as we can tell he wants you to attack so he can justify walking back to Wade in your body. We were just trying to prevent it.

<DeathStar> <Spade> I will counter something. If this means so much that I do not tutelage the boy, I will convince him to seek another psionic to bring out his power.

<Seraphna> **Sephie looks between them a bit worriedly**
<DeathStar> <Spade> Yes. I'd like you to use your government access to go there and retrieve something in there. A lockbox and bring it to me.
<DeathStar> <Spade> Once I get it, I'll leave.
<Xanatos> 6* Kane considers and looks to Adeline
<Dias`> <Cel> But that gives us no guarantee that this game of your's with Wade will end.
<Seraphna> Libbie> What’s in it?
<Alicia> <Red Fox> "That's really the question, isn't it?"
<Xanatos> <Kane> It won't, but this gives us time, which we currently do not have. Wade is worth the risk I think. Adeline?
<DeathStar> <Spade> I can be convincing. Wade will seek out another. Our paths should not cross again. *Adeline thinks and nods* <Adeline> Fine. Lets do it.
<Seraphna> Sephie> He could have trained with us. **she pouts**
<Dias`> *Cel glances at the Kane/Adeline*
<Seraphna> Libbie> I’m guessing it’s not pictures of Angela.

<DeathStar> *Spade nods his head, then walks along the hallways - like a normal person. Adeline follows behind them where Lemon and Warren are arguing in the hallway*
<Seraphna> **Thena sighs a bit and grows a little more, indicating she had more splits**

<Seraphna> **Sephie and Libbie follow**
<DeathStar> *Wade angerily signs, not thinking to telepath right now*
<Seraphna> Thena> Grandpa. Behave for now.
<Xanatos> <Kane> Lemon, Wade. Spade has something to say and then he is leaving.

<DeathStar> *Spade takes Wade's arm* We need to speak, son. *he pulls him off to the side, where the two speak in low tones. It's clear by Wade's expression he's not pleased*

<DeathStar> <Adeline> Yes? *she seems to be psionically reading the two's auras*
<Xanatos> 6* Kane watches very carefully.
<Seraphna> Libbie> If you and Wade came from Tabetha, is it possible he got her block?

<Seraphna> Libbie> Her records show she wasn’t able to use her power for a while till Katrina taught her how to get around it.
<DeathStar> *Wade hauls off and punches Spade, who takes it; while Spade rubs his jaw, Wade storms toward a room and slams the door* <Spade> *sticks a piece of paper under the door* There

<Dias`> *Cel finally steps out of the room they were in and joins the others*

<DeathStar> *Spade studies them, then nods his head, moving away from them, apparently his room somewhere else*

<DeathStar> *Lemon sticks by Wade's door, waiting for him to come out*
<Dias`> <Cel> So do we have any idea what he wants us to retrieve for him?
<DeathStar> <Warren> He wants us to what?
<Xanatos> <Kane> Thena, get a double around to Wade's window, let's give him space but he can't leave yet.
<Seraphna> Libbie> Likely a Cran or Venerator project.
<Xanatos> <Kane> Retrieve and item at these coordinates. 6*He shows Warren.

<Alicia> <Red Fox> "Oh, they agreed to retrieve a lockbox for Spade in exchange for him not training Wade."
<Alicia> <Red Fox> "Hopefully it wasn't anything too important, but I'm not aware of the contents myself."
<DeathStar> *Warren eyes it* Hm. Lets see, one of our EarthGov bases
<Seraphna> Libbie> **runs the coordinates to see which location it is**
<Xanatos> <Kane> In the meantime, Adeline we must sort out a way to block Spade from taking over.
<Jackieness> <Josephine> "And how do you know that the item won't be some godlike psionic enhancer?"
<Xanatos> <Kane> We're unable to act until we do.
<Dias`> *Cel crosses her arms* This is all just odd.
<Seraphna> Sephie> Yeah Mom what was up with your hand? Does he not need touch anymore or something?
<Jackieness> <Josephine> "Alternatively, it could be a personal effect."
<Alicia> <Red Fox> "Lets hope so."
<DeathStar> <Warren> Speaking of enhancer
<DeathStar> *Warren holds out information from Cheryl's team*
<Dias`> <Cel> Why wouldn't he just go for this item himself. If he's as powerful as he used to be, he should just be able to make it happen. So why need us to grab it? And why give up Wade so easily.
<DeathStar> <Warren> Cran has been making power grabs. Including a psionic enhancer.
<Seraphna> Sephie> Maybe Wade was never his goal. Not like Spade can walk up to an EarthGov base with ease.
<DeathStar> <Warren> A Beta controller that has taken over the Betas. And more.
<Xanatos> <Kane> Wade ensured his safety more than anything, but unless he's experiencing degredation already doesn't need another body so yes, an end to a means.
<Dias`> <Cel> Why not? He could easily use his powers to make influence someone in to grabbing it for him
<DeathStar> <Adeline> It does feel like Spade hasn't been making power grabs compared to Cran
<Seraphna> Sephie> The body control isn’t that cut and dry….
<Alicia> <Red Fox> "I just hope this wasn't a mistake."
<Xanatos> <Kane> His movements were always more subtle than Cran's. It's why he did the dirty work for him for years.
<Seraphna> Libbie> If we review his actions so far he does not seem to be after power.
<Xanatos> <Kane> Retrieving this item could implicate us or cause some other secondary effect that would be a bonus in addition to getting the item.
<DeathStar> *Adeline muses* I do not think Spade is in trouble of dying
<DeathStar> <Adeline> I was watching him and he seemed relaxed.
<Jackieness> <Josephine> "From a certain point of view, isn't he a victim to? Wasn't he made into what he is by external forces?"
<Dias`> <Cel> For someone like Spade it would be easy on a weaker mind.
<Seraphna> Libbie> He let Angela go after capturing her. He let Wade go. He wants something specific.

<Dias`> <Cel> That was by choice under Cran, wasn't it? *She muses* What if his ultimate goal right now, is to find a way to break free from their control.
<DeathStar> <Warren> And he went off the reservation quite often for Angela. But she's not longer what she was - meaning he has no one to align with now

<Seraphna> Libbie> I think we need to know what’s in the lockbox.

<Alicia> <Kyouki> "I'm more surprised you agreed without knowing. For all we know, we'd be handing him to keys to EarthGov."
<Dias`> <Cel> Well, ultimately we do what Kane, Lemon and Adeline want. I'm just suggesting that this seems way to off.

<Alicia> <Red Fox> "Kane... thank you for that. They turned out good kids, I'd have hated to lose them."
<Xanatos> <Kane> I meant for Adeline to apologize to you.
<Xanatos> 6* Kane seems amused that Warren apologized though.
<Seraphna> Libbie> This is turning into a very weird family dynamic.

<Seraphna> **Libbie blinks and eyes the laptop, no doubt reviewing code**
<Seraphna> Sephie> I’ll go get us breakfast.
<DeathStar> *it looks like Spade somehow vanished from the building and yet Kane's drones showed no sign of him leaving*
