<DeathStar> *The shuttle they're in flies along, near the Erusian/Tsivrixsh border. The worlds here having slowly been recovering since the Dark War many years ago*
<DeathStar> <Lorelei> This is the smuggler region, so we should becareful. The Tsivrixsh provide protection for their borders and the Suisen territory, but the Dark War's scars are still felt even after all this time.
<Dias`> <Durt> It'll take time for these areas to return back to the way they were, if they ever do.
<DeathStar> <Ako> Probably the Cartel prefer it
<Seraphna> Michelle> We're prolly lucky Kaelan ain't with us this time then.
<Xanatos> <Valen> Easy to manipulate and take advantage of that stuff.
<Jackieness> <Moira> "Why's that?"
<Seraphna> MIchelle> Which one?
<DeathStar> *Lorelei eyes the coordinates provided, spying what looks to be a system with several worlds. Bringing up the information, it shows a rather desert like world with mining and factories plumming the materials, which is their target, and a rather advanced world on par with Earth or more and the third world seems to be reserved for those with a lot of money, turned into rather rich environment type world, something akin to Jarivan but for those who live on it*
<DeathStar> <Lorelei> An interesting set of worlds
<Dias`> <Durt> Two of which could house targets they'd go after.
<Jackieness> <Moira> "Sunny hit the last one with a specific goal, to save the children."
<Dias`> <Durt> If thats the theme she's sticking with the mining and factory planet would most likely match up.
<Alicia> <Asha> "Lets assume they're doing the same. That'd mean the factories. I mean, they're not going to save children from their rich parents."
<DeathStar> <Lorelei> Right now we're being directed to the mining world Therade.
<DeathStar> *she heads down; as they enter the atmosphere, the sandstorms immediately assault the shuttle and shake it about. The computer of the shuttle warning them that the plant's breathable air is not that great, but is passable*
<Jackieness> <Moira> "...this planet already sucks."
<Dias`> *Durt eyes the computer warning* Probably why it's been turned into a resource planet.
<Seraphna> Michelle> Score one for not needing to breathe.
<DeathStar> *they manage to land in a spaceport, where the dome closes behind them, oxygen being pumped at least.* <Lenny> I am displeased
<Alicia> <Celeste> "At least we're not being stolen from."

<Dias`> <Shiva> Lorelei. *She nods slightly as she eyes the group she's with, a slight annoyed look on her face*
<Dias`> <Shiva> It seems that since trouble seems to follow your group and your associates, I've been tasked with baby sitting over you all.

<DeathStar> <Lorelei> Technically Shiva is right. The sins are technically something that the Universal groups should be handling if they weren't being over worked by the aftermath of the broken Yggdrasil crisis. All the various galactic ships right now are maintaining the aftermath of that, and trying to seek 7 people are beneath them

<Dias`> <Shiva> It's fine. I understand how this tends to work. It's the collateral damage and unintended consequences that tend to cause the most problems.

<Dias`> <Shiva> And hopefully with my being here, I can help you all avoid having to make questionable decisions that lie in the grey area.

<Dias`> *Shiva crosses her arms* Well, it would make sense. A lot of the corporations that we sanction and or lease land to on these outer planets tend to like to break the rules.
<Seraphna> Michelle> THe villain is usually a hero in their own mind
<Alicia> <Celeste> "I feel like we're not going to be able to avoid having to make questionable decisions..."
<DeathStar> <Lorelei> Lets take a look at these corporations and these factories
<Dias`> <Shiva> If that's your attitude going in, than I see that I'm going to have a headache. And I tend to get very bitter when I have a headache.

<DeathStar> *Lorelei brings up a map of the world; it looks this world is nothing but mining for rare minerals and using them to make parts for chips and parts, and if not that, sending those minerals off*
<DeathStar> <Lorelei> *she looks at Durt and Christina* I'm not seeing how any of these places could be a target for Sunny
<Sara> <Christina> You think there's slave labor involved?
<DeathStar> *Lorelei muses* It .. must be. But which ? all?
<Sara> * Christina gives a small shrug, glancing over at Durt
<Dias`> *Durt rubs his face as he looks at them* It's possible. Which ones of these are ahead of their quotas?
<Sara> * Sunny Jr floats over, looking at the map
<Alicia> <Celeste> "Time to investigate. Maybe we can put a stop to the slave labour before anything gets destroyed, too."
<Dias`> *Shiva glances between them and pulls out a datapad and types on it. A second later information on all of them appears on the map.
<Jackieness> <Moira> "Its alot of ground to cover, though."
<Dias`> <Shiva> If there is slave labor, then they would be breaking Cartel laws.
<Alicia> <Celeste> "Good, then the decision won't be questionable."
<Dias`> *Shiva eyes Celeste now, probably making a mental note that she's going to cause all the problems*
<DeathStar> *According to the data provided by Shiva, one corporation in particular, who provides rare minerals and chip production, is ahead of all the others. But the damning thing - they send their goods to the Reds, to EarthGov, and a bit to the Suisen*
<DeathStar> <Lorelei> ... *points* That one
<DeathStar> <Lorelei> They are ahead of the pack
<Jackieness> <Moira> "Who owns it?"
<Dias`> <Durt> A little to efficient don't you think?

<DeathStar> *The Corporation's name is some lame name CHIP Productions. CHIP would no doubt be insulted*
<DeathStar> <Lorelei> It doesn't seem to be the case
<Dias`> *Durt eyes the information coming up*
<Jackieness> <Moira> "So no pattern there... assuming this is the right target."
<DeathStar> <Lorelei> Well, we need proof that they are doing wrong. Before Sunny blows it up. Then we'll want to be there and try to catch her
<DeathStar> <Lorelei> If they are doing wrong, I guess we'll leave the punishment to you, we just want Sunn
<Dias`> <Shiva> I can grant us access to it under a surprise Cartel Inspection if you would like.
<DeathStar> *Lorelei nods* <Rachael> I know ths might sound dumb
<DeathStar> <Rachael> But what if there are multiple bad corporations?
<DeathStar> <Rachael> And she blows up another one?
<DeathStar> <Lorelei> *glances at Christina*
<Jackieness> <Moira> "What Rachel said. These guys could just have an unusually motivated work force, or be AI-driven."
<Alicia> <Celeste> "Then we failed."
<Dias`> *Shiva looks at Rachael* Innocent people die potentialy and the Cartel deal with the fall out of it all.
<Alicia> <Celeste> "... yeah, but... I don't want that."
<Seraphna> Michelle> Strikes me that Sunny is gonna move whether we go for her or not. So I say we go for her.
<DeathStar> *Lenny touches her shoulder* Unless you can see the future, lets at least investigate this place first
<Seraphna> Michelle> Ain't no moral qualm here.

<Sara> <Christina> Seems all we can really do is try and hope for the best, right? You rather sit back and let it happen, rather than at least choosing one and seeing if we get it right?

<DeathStar> *The group has become part of an inspection tour group, where they are being shown all the machines and upper levels where the employees work. Clearly being shown a perfect script*
<DeathStar> *keeping the group in the upper levels where there's oxygen and where the chip production is done*
<DeathStar> *here they see highly qualified employees working on the chips and high tech machinary, all above board*
<Alicia> <Asha> "...well, I can't say we should look in the other areas right now..."
<DeathStar> *Lorelei wears glasses, nodding as she listens to everything*
<DeathStar> *Ako seems to sleep walk along the tour*
<Dias`> *Shiva walks along, her arms crossed as she talks to one of their tour guides*
<Dias`> *Durt glances around a bit as they walk* Pretty amazing how you're able to keep this plan running so far ahead of schedule.
<Alicia> <Celeste> "We absolutely need to make sure that everything's above board in the other areas, though... somehow."
<Xanatos> 6* Valen glances around, looking for anything out of the ordinary.
<DeathStar> <Guide> Well, we have good supply of materials to work with, and we have good employees here that can turn them into what you see here
<DeathStar> <Guide> We have lots of various projects going at any one time.
<Alicia> * Asha looks for anything out of the ordinary, but can only really tell for the people
<DeathStar> *Everything inside the complex itself looks above board*
<DeathStar> *Lorelei frowns, wondering what they're missing*
<Dias`> <Durt> And how many employees do you have on file?
<DeathStar> *Guide pauses* Ah, well. *He seems to pause at that*

<DeathStar> *He moves over to the cabinet and gets a large book and sets it down before them, casually flipping pages* We have the employees in here as well as the miners we contract for the mines
<Dias`> <Durt> So you contract your own miners to supply most of the materials here?
<Seraphna> MIchelle> Would be great to see the minin' operations for a company runnin' this smooth.
<Jackieness> <Moira> "Do you sub-contract then?"
<Dias`> *Durt moves over to Lorelei, whispering in her ear*
<DeathStar> <Guide> *He eyes Durt, then Michille* The mines are quite dangerous. *He eyes the book, flipping pages* We od have some of our own miners working, yes.
<DeathStar> *Lorelei muses and motions Sia and Lia over*
<Xanatos> <Valen> Do mines hire at their own discretion or does everything go through here?

<Alicia> <Celeste> "I would like to look over the mines. I will take full responsibility for my own safety in doing so."

<DeathStar> <Guide> as for the contracting other miners.... Why are you all so interested in the mines?
<DeathStar> *He looks for a boss figure*
<Dias`> <Shiva> Because the Cartel want to make sure everything continues to run smoothly.
<Alicia> * Celeste nods to Shiva
<Alicia> <Celeste> "I wish to perform this inspection as fully as possible, to ensure everything is running smoothly."
<Seraphna> **The girls pull out a tome and open it to empty pages, pondering a moment, then Lia starts looking at the other book while the guide is occupied and casts something the book glowing faintly a moment as Sia drips ink on the pages of their book**
<DeathStar> <Guide> Let me go get my ... um, boss. *he flees from the meeting*
<DeathStar> <Lorelei> Did you get it?
<Seraphna> **Sia sets out their tome where the book's contents should be writing themselves in**
<Seraphna> Lia> Copy spell. We use it to sneak books from the Academy's restricted tomes.
<Dias`> *Shiva eyes the man leave in a rush* You've seemed to have razzled him
<Alicia> <Celeste> "Clever!"
<Alicia> <Asha> "That doesn't count as a questionable decision, right?"
<Seraphna> Sia> Also good for copying Momma's romance novels.
<Jackieness> <Moira> "We must have found something they want to hide."
<Seraphna> Michelle> It's most likely the kids, if they exist, would be employed in the Mines.
<Seraphna> Michelle> Smaller folk often able to get into those tight to reach spaces.
<DeathStar> *Rachael glances down as on the pages the employee numbers begin to appear. The pages for the employees inside seem to be on the up and up, around 100, but for the mines they seem to have on staff around 50 miners. After that, they seem to have contracted from some group on the rich planet Patade over 500 miners. However, each have *'s by them and some have crosses through their names*
<Sara> * Sunny Jr floats upside-down
<DeathStar> <Ako> What is this?
<Xanatos> <Valen> Are crosses like...deaths?
<Seraphna> Lia> Names are likely aliases for sold workers.
<Dias`> *Shiva moves over to the books and eyes them* I believe I should make a call.
<Seraphna> Sia> Cross would be fatality or lost.
<DeathStar> <Lorelei> I suppose we need to head to the mines
<Jackieness> <Moira> "The contracting company is the sus one. These guys here are guilty of looking the other way."
<DeathStar> <Rachael> Oh definitely
<DeathStar> <Rachael> If we fail to catch her here. She'll be heading up to that planet.
<Xanatos> <Valen> Well, are we waiting for that boss or we're leaving?
<Dias`> <Shiva> If they knew about it, then they're just as guilty. *She pulls out her comm and begins talking on it* You guys have the Cartels permission to head to the mine's.
<Alicia> <Celeste> "Thankyou Shiva."
<Dias`> <Shiva> Don't fuck anything up. *She eyes them dangerously*
<Alicia> <Celeste> "I'll do my best."
<Alicia> <Asha> "I want to say she'll do fine, but we all know how Sunny gets."
<DeathStar> *Lorelei heads out the door where the sand storms hit them. She points out a sand vehicles*
<Dias`> <Durt> You good up here? *She eyes Shiva who nods and he moves after Lorelei*
<Jackieness> <Moira> "Meaning don't try to shut the place down or do a citizens arrest on the supervisor."
<DeathStar> *Rachael moves to get on on the back of one*
<DeathStar> *Ako and Lenny get on one*
<DeathStar> *Lorelei puts on goggles and cranks one up* Everyone ready?
<Xanatos> 6* Valen makes a face at the storm and moves to the sand vehicle

<Dias`> *Durt climbs on one and taps the base of his neck, causing a mask to form around his face
<Alicia> * Asha climbs in, putting on a pair of goggles.

<Alicia> * Celeste also climbs in. "I should've brought some too."
<DeathStar> *As they set out, the air remains hard to breathe as they move for the mines and the visibility terrible. Making it hard to tell if they are even going the right way. Rachael seemingly drives off in one direction into the sand*
<DeathStar> <Ako> And there she goes. *she hollers over the noise*
<DeathStar> *Lorelei tapes a datapad to her's, using it as a GPS type deal*
<DeathStar> <Lenny> Sunny! You have a power to tell where you're going?
<Seraphna> **SIa and Lia start using magic to help Rachael**
<Alicia> <Asha> "I imagine it's possible... I don't remember Nicolette or Sparkling ever doing that though."
<Sara> <Sunny Jr> Me? I can sort of detect energy signatures and magic to use them as beacons I guess... in theory... but so can most magic users
<Xanatos> 6* Valen tries to get a beacon or gps or something to help guide rachael.
<Alicia> <Celeste> "Without a beacon already in place, that won't help..."
<DeathStar> *Loreleia nd the others arrive at the mine entrance and soon Rachael shows up thanks to the help, but then slumps onto the ground*
<DeathStar> <Rachael> I hate sand
<Alicia> <Celeste> "It's rough and irritating?"
<Dias`> *Durt hops off his bike and looks at the mine entrance*
<DeathStar> *Sunny Jr suddenly gets vertigo and feels dizzy, like she is in two places*
<Xanatos> <Valen> Gets everywhere.
<Alicia> <Celeste> "Are you okay?!" * Asha pauses, looking thoughtful
<DeathStar> *the other place being further in the mine*
<Jackieness> <Moira> "She just did... soemthing."
<Dias`> <Durt> Wear better clothing. *He moves towards the entrance and inside as he looks around
<DeathStar> *Rachael sits up and looks around; it looks like the air inside the mine is not much better. The conditions being even worse as the ceiling is low and there's sand dripping from the beams*
<Alicia> <Asha> "The goggles don't do nothing."
<Dias`> <Durt> Seem's they're pushing the limits for safety standards here.

<DeathStar> *Ako and Lenny follow along where it opens up; in the back, the tunnel continues, but for this one room, you can see 10 of the 50 workers being surrounded by explosives for mines, and hung from the ceiling. The way they're being held, their weight is slowly descending them toward what looks to be a detonator that will blow the entire thing, which seems crazy if Sunny and the rest are further into the mines*

Miners line the wall with cuffs on their hands and explosives, while teens are being led out the exit by Zayne. Sunny is standing there with her large gun, facing what seems to be the foreman, who is wearing the same large shackles and explosives, kneeling before her while Zayne gets the kids out*

It's clear this even catches her off guard as she throws up a shield over Sunny Jr. and those by her as the explosives begin to cause a chain reaction in the mine*
