At the same time, the various races have slowly begun to recover from the wars*

<XanTop> <Valen> I think a lot of people are just going to like...struggle to figure out what sort of things should occupy their time now that they're not hunting down gods and fighting in wars.

<DeathStar> <Ren> But it's taking a lot of manpower and the Peacekeepers are helping navigate pathways for it

<Seraphna> Thena> Is important to know these for when Pirating. Best places to get loot.
<XanTop> <Valen> Sounds boring. I'm going to be a detective...because that totally has no fighting and is only the investigating parts.

The lobby of the fancy building looks rather updated tech wise, with people coming and going who have appointments, many there to get stuff done for their worlds - be it ships to protect them or whatnot. Or cargo ships or anything the Peacekeepers can provide.*

<DeathStar> <Cheryl> So - are we going to be allowed upstairs in the higher offices?
<Seraphna> Angela> Hrm... I mean we can try to get Aya to help.

<DeathStar> <Evette> Well, as we're part of the Galactic Council, all daily information gathered and reports are sent to them. *She leads them to an elevator* It allows full disclosure. It's why I find it hard to believe a murder could occur here. If major offical wanted even the camera logs in the building, we would send it. We're next to Yggdrasil after all

<Seraphna> Jennifer> No... not immortal, just tenacious. I've been to his funeral too many times to think he couldn't die.

<Seraphna> Jennifer> Dad's system is a bit unique, but thanks, I'll check there when I can.
<DeathStar> <Evette> We've been great outside being super busy. With the other galaxy open now, and many wanting to move out there, we sometimes step in to try to make sure no one is illegally taking planets. We also monitor Yggdrasil, and we do our normal jobs.
<Dias`> <Chad> I figured that was going to be an issue once that lane opened up proper.
<Seraphna> Reese> Not to mention people probably foolish enough to go after the old Dark One planets.
<DeathStar> *as they arrive at the upper floors, it seems to be done up so that each area has their own a main command staff going through the Hyperspace Lane, the Peackeeping in the main galaxy, the Yggdrasil itself, etc. Familiar faces can be seen here, like Rachael lounging nearby*

<XanTop> <Kane> I believe that would be a good start.
<Dias`> *Chad glances about quickly, taking the people in before he looks back at Evette* That's where I'd like to start.

<DeathStar> *cameras footage of the entire complex, from the ground floor, to up here pops up on all the screens - it is so massive, the screens are tiny*

<XanTop> <Kane> Focus on one screen, scrub through it slowly and then move to the next screen.
<Dias`> *Chad looks at them all, his arms crossing as he stares*

<DeathStar> *Apollo enlarges it to fill the entire screen*
<XanTop> <Kane> Let us find the moment, and then we can work on the other screens to fill out the entire scenario.
<Seraphna> **Jennifer steps in after them looking a little pale**
<DeathStar> *Apollo lets the time frame play. Cheryl waiting; then turns to eye Jennifer* What?
<Alicia> <Hotaru> "Shame we only have the one camera view... or are there more cameras I don't know of?"
<Dias`> <Chad> We have the supposed time of death. Start with that give or take an hour.
<Seraphna> Jennifer> Thena left a video message. Only it wasn’t of her.
<DeathStar> <Lemon> That sounds un-Thena like. *She murmurs, keeping an eye on the time. Right now it shows an empty office*
<DeathStar> *and it continues to do so all the way past the time of supposed death - and beyond*
<DeathStar> <John> Uh, there is no sign of anything. <Apollo> There's just the one camera. Showing Aya's desk

<Dias`> <Chad> Can you show us the first time there's motion in there?

<DeathStar> *Appollo rewinds all the way to a few hours back when Aya returning in the morning and heading for her desk*

<DeathStar> *Apollo fastforwards to her leaving for the day. A janitor enters and cleans the room, then leaves*

<XanTop> 6* Kane has been staring at tertiary things in the recording, looking for any abberations that would indicate modification.
<Dias`> *Chad glances at Jennifer* Than we should know how the alleged killer was. *He looks at Apollo* Can you compare the footage of when the janitor comes in to other times the janitor comes in and see if they're identical?
<Seraphna> Jennifer> Could have been eyewear or a contact.
<Seraphna> Jennifer> There were two people. Man and a woman I think. The man was blonde. **she points** Should be there even though we aren’t finding it.
<Alicia> <Hotaru> "So, the footage was altered."
<DeathStar> *Apollo checks* He does seem to come in later that night - but it's still not near your kill time. It's off by a supposed 4 hours. *the only odd things Kane would pick up at a glance without having the data to go through, is that oddity wise the suppsoed times are both 4 hours almost exactly apart, and there's a slight brightening on the camera*
<Dias`> <Chad> I'm wondering if they didn't reuse old footage and seemlessly slide it in to cover it.
<Dias`> <Chad> Or shift it back. We should talk to the janitor. Confirm when he cleaned that day.
<Seraphna> Tabetha> Look for static artifacts too. Clocks or displays in view, anything out the windows.
<DeathStar> <Evette> I would think there would be some sort of evidence. <Apollo> You'd need a really good person - like me - to do that kind of job.
<Alicia> <Hotaru> "Check if the timestamp is correct."
<Seraphna> Tabetha> In a good hack very little would be noticed… these have sound recordings too right?
<DeathStar> <Apollo> Sound recordings? Not in this office.
<Dias`> <Chad> You're not the only one out that there that is that good.
<Seraphna> Tabetha> Drat, that’s a lot harder to fake. Sound patterns that is.
<DeathStar> <Apollo> After all these get sent out to all the races, so you want some confidentality on stuff
<Dias`> <Chad> Is it possible to get a copy for Id to look over?
<DeathStar> <Apollo> I mean, well, if you got permission to come up here, sure
<Seraphna> Angela> What’s the lag on sending them out? A day or so?
<DeathStar> <Evette> IT depends on the work load. If it's time sensitive, yes. Less so, a week

<Seraphna> Angela> That’s our window for a hack time.
<Seraphna> Angela> Otherwise everyone would have the unedited footage.
<XanTop> <Kane> There is a very very slightly change in brightness of the camera. So I do believe it has been tampered with. We will need to study it carefully now to verify as proof.
<Dias`> <Chad> One of two things happened. Either this was staged elsewhere, which is less likely. Or someone altered the data. We would need to confirm if the Janitor was in there during that time frame.
<Alicia> <Hotaru> "Unless they did a real-time edit."
<DeathStar> *Evette steps out to look for the janitor on duty*
<Seraphna> Jennifer> I can show you all the eye cam footage too.

<XanTop> <Kane> Hypothetically if you are Warren and you want this to be covert, you could real-time edit this footage to cover your tracks.
<XanTop> <Kane> But that would also hide your demise in this instance.
<Dias`> <Chad> I imagine someone that can see the future and was also smart enough to hack on the fly.
