<DeathStar> <Andrea> Apparently on one of that Erica girl's mission she encountered a shapeshifter that stole a bunch of Cartel weapons. While out there in deep space, we came across evidence the shapeshifter was still alive and was using some of the stuff - testing it. And he was probably heading toward EarthGov/Suisen territory
<Seraphna> **Thena mewls** Oh no...
<ChadWinters`> <Durt> If I recall, they grabbed a lot of stuff.
<Seraphna> Thena> A lot of weapons of mass destruction and bioweapons.
<DeathStar> *Andrea reaches into the air and pulls out some of the evidence, covered in dark sludge. It looks like data disks, broken vials, and corpses. Rachael jerks at her dumping corpses in the room*

<Xanatos> <Drasek> You, wolf bloke, and angry X are making mischief out there?
<DeathStar> <Andrea> Yeah we're trying to destroy seeds as they hit the worlds. We found this one close to Suisen/EarthGov territory
<Seraphna> **Thena sighs at her doing that and has a request sent to teleport it all to the quarantine in medical**
<DeathStar> *Lorelei stands up and moves over, quiet*
<ChadWinters`> They're getting bold then. 6He moves over to kneels down by it, eyeing what she's all gathered
<Xanatos> <Drasek> Hm. Wonder if the Empress' sorted that out yet. Call a git when you need a big hitter. 6* He motions to himself and holds up new beer with a nod.
<Seraphna> **Thena encloses it all in crystal till it gets moved**
<DeathStar> *the vials look like they once had somethign in them, but it's lost - maybe there's particles left in it. The data disks might still have information on it, despite the corruptive sludge. And the bodies look Guardian like. Ariel will not be happy*

<ChadWinters`> Well, so much for seeing what's all on the data disks right away.

<Xanatos> <Drasek> Prog ship and there was Dark One contamination. Protocols kick in for decon. Medical or incernerator.

<Seraphna> Thena> **is in her adult voice as she messages Athena and Jennifer about it** We'll have to make sure that Dragoons and Guardians are kept away for now.

<Seraphna> Thena> This was a gift from Andrea, Marcus and X. Come to think of it, I hope X is okay, she's half guardian now.

<Seraphna> Thena> Those corpses and the vials make me think the Hunter was working with the Dragoon Virus archives we found to be taken.
<ChadWinters`> I imagine it's designed to go after as many as possible. If they found a way to combine several things.
<Seraphna> Jennifer> SHe reached the same assumption I did pretty quick. Good girl Thena.

<Seraphna> **Jaime nods a bit, while Jennifer goes over the scans looking for viral microbes and other dangers over everything in quarantine**

<DeathStar> *after a bit, Jennifer would sense there's no viral stuff in the air, but the bodies and vials definitely have something and handling them might be a little risky. But what? Cuddles works and scrapes the vials and gets samples. Jennifer can get samples from the body tissue, etc. etc*

<Seraphna> **Jennifer uses the containment probe to get samples to work with, musing** The vials have something, the corpses we can surmize do as well. **she closes her eyes a second and sighs** Told Sammael to take precautions.
<DeathStar> *it looks like the shapeshifter took the body of a prominent scientist and used the body/mind to "become" them, working on a new virus, using the original stuff virus from Viral Exodus days as a baseline. There is a reason he didn't use the fancier one due to it being more simple and began to work on changing what it's properties*
<ChadWinters`> Hmmm.
<DeathStar> *to do something else when it targetted the Dragoons. That information seems to be hidden behind a high level password, but they do see a log of him headed to Earth/PAX*
<DeathStar> <Adeline> What was done is probably on this but it'll be harder to hack. If you can figure it out would be better
<Seraphna> Jaime> I think we should let both Athena and Empress know about this one. So they can scan and lock down people coming in just in case they haven't already gotten here. Though... with our luck...
<ChadWinters`> I imagine one of two things. To effectively nullify they're dragoon abilities or to corrupt them into a Dark One
<DeathStar> <CHIP> A lock down has been initiated; no new people are being allowed

<DeathStar> <Adeline> *works on the password and unlocks* Wow, you must have the foresight too. Instead of killing them like the original virus, this just makes them very sick and takes their power away. Leaving them powerless and taking out the dragoon power base - anyone with the Dragoon DNA

<Seraphna> **Jennifer keeps up her work** Well better to get a cure going as soon as possible then.

<ChadWinters`> <Durt> Do you know of any Dragoon's that aren't happy to be dragoons?
<ChadWinters`> That's foolish, Lorelei. 6He looks at her. 1"If anything, having it release on locked down ship is the best idea. No way to escape. That or they're heading to the Dragoon homeworld where we can't assist now.

<Seraphna> Jennifer> I made a genetic alteration that made them reject the virus.
* ChadWinters` taps his chin to try and remember.
<DeathStar> <Taiga> So this is just a mutation of the virus.

<DeathStar> <Taiga> I'm not a doctor
<ChadWinters`> Well if it's based on the original. It'll be mutated enough to avoid it. But I'd need to see a bit of the virus to know if something seem's off about it.
<Seraphna> Jennifer> Yeah, my cure wouldn't know to block a mutated version. Perhaps we could adjust the changes I made to actively attack viruses entirely.
<Seraphna> Jennifer> ...Which means I could probably use Angela's input, as she's one of the last Dragoon research scientists around.
<Seraphna> Jennifer> Well, her or Cran.
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Wait, Cran had a hand in the cure?
<ChadWinters`> <Durt> Well, the first thing to do would be to gather every Dragoon or Dragoon adjacent person and put them somewhere safe.
<Seraphna> Jennifer> I believe he was in one of his not very alive times back then. But we have one now.
<Xanatos> <Drasek> You lot always wanting to gather up people and put them somewhere.
<Seraphna> Jennifer> And seeing as this is heading to EarthGov he'll be involved anyway...
<DeathStar> *Taiga seems to be checking on something*
<ChadWinters`> <Durt> You rather keep them seperated so we can't keep tabs on if they get sick or not?
<DeathStar> <Taiga> The NGD are on Earth. Cheryl is currently on Earth seeing Lemon. Zephyr I have no idea
<Seraphna> Jennifer> It's actually safer if we isolate them wherever they are now, at homes.
<DeathStar> <CHIP> I have done a base scan of the PAX using the original virus as a search. There is no sign of the base virus on the PAX
<Seraphna> Jen> And if Cheryl is seeing Lemon, Angela will be there too. Goodie. She'll have to work remotely as they could already be infected.
<Seraphna> **Jennifer puts up a model of the new virus for CHIP as she gets it**
<Seraphna> Jennifer> It may be altered enough not to show, so check this.
<ChadWinters`> Well, if it's safe here. The rest of us should either head to Earth to see if she has any idea where Zephyr is or get a hold of Warren.

<Xanatos> 6* Valen jerks, slowly glancing over his shoulder. There's a bunch of writing and pictures scribbled on boards with string traced between some of them.

<Seraphna> Si> Well if I was gonna spread a virus I'd find a place where the most possible carriers who can be infected are.
<ChadWinters`> I'm waiting for Warren to get back to me so honestly, talking to Cheryl and Lemon first would be the best move. Unless you know where the most are currently grouped at?
<DeathStar> <Taiga> *nods* This is when we have gotten to rely on Spirits and Maka and Magi too much. *they teleport down to Mega City*
<Seraphna> Si> Well most of the NGDs are retired, a lot left for their own lives... but I suppose wherever the remaining active ones are based? Or maybe where the Dragoon Hunters are based.
<DeathStar> <Taiga> A few of the NGDs are still active
<ChadWinters`> It's not whether they are active or not, it'll be where they can do the most damage. Only taking out a small fraction won't amount to more than a lot of Dragoon's coming out of retirement for revenge.
<Seraphna> Si> I mean, the Guardian Homeworld is the single biggest concentration from what we learned about the virus...
<DeathStar> *Chad's datapad beeps as Taiga leads them toward a major Mega City military base, not far from Cheryl's manor*
<ChadWinters`> I imagine that atleast a 50% minimum would be enough to hamper them.
* ChadWinters` pulls out his datapad, checking it.
<ChadWinters`> <Durt> Desperation might be atleast 30% as successful. Or atleast the strongest ones.
<DeathStar> *the base looks a lot like the one where the team worked at for a while, though it's been made to be fancier lately with the latest tech. Hale is there, having not been elected a second time for never attending the Senate, and Sullivan is there, having lost to someone else*
