<DeathStar> <Taiga> Rumors about a sharp shooter taking out bad people and leaving evidence of their crimes. They don't kill them - 9 out of 10 cases.

<DeathStar> <Taiga> A crime fighter that shoots people?

<Seraphna> Si> Well they seem to be trying not to kill them. Misguided I guess.

<DeathStar> <Taiga> They deal with corrupt politicians, *brings up images of the scenes of the people being shot and the evidence of their crimes - usually of them being shot in the act* Criminals who are doing things to hurt people in the area like drugs. *brings up the images*. Corrupt business men. *brings up an image of someone using their position to make deadly productions*

<DeathStar> *Taiga grabs her folder* Lets have a few of us talk to Zayne. Maybe we can get a lead there. Then we can visit one of the latest scenes. If we got nothing there to follow up on I'll have us go to the haunted resort.

<MobileAri> * Nicolette gives a thumbs up, and texts Zayne about a meet up to talk

<DeathStar> <Zayne> ... *peers down at Charlotte, then sets little Sunny down; who looks around a year and a half, holding her hand and using magic to help her stand up right.*

<Sara> * Kaori shudders just a touch hearing Zayne's voice, as if it's a dark omen
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "Is something wrong?"

<DeathStar> *Zayne kneels by Sunny, her voice mostly empty of emotion, but when she talks to Sunny, she shows emotion - either faking it for her daughter, or truly having a lot of emotions for the little one*

<MobileAri> <Zayne> "Ah, yeah... wow, didn't expect such immediate action." She clears her throat, "There have been attacks on criminals with energy attacks recently, and we were wondering if you knew anything about it?"

<Sara> * Kaori isn't falling for it
<Jackieness> <Noire> *waves down Shion*
<DeathStar> <Zayne> Hm. The only criminals I deal in are those who prey on a certain calibur. *she says softly, taking Taiga's datapad*
<DeathStar> <Zayne> These do not fall under my parimeters. But I have seen heard of a sniper. Dark haired.
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Male or female?"
<DeathStar> <Zayne> Female I heard.
<DeathStar> *Shion feeds Noire, huffing at Kaori*
<DeathStar> <Zayne> So. *she leans in toward Charlotte and Nicolette* Do you want my help in finding and punishing this person?
<Seraphna> **Angela muses**
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmm..." *noms then looks up* "...go ahead and answer the woman."

<Seraphna> Angela> We should be fine. It's just a misguided vigilante by the looks of it.
<Sara> * Sunny Jr. keeps trying to fall over, despite magic keeping her up

<DeathStar> *Zayne sets Sunny down gently*

<DeathStar> <Taiga> So should we wait on Zayne or go focus on the resort in the mean time?

<DeathStar> *Ren yawns on Charlotte's head and goes to play with Sunny in fox form*
<Sara> * Sunny Jr. eyes all the fluffy tails and other fluffy things and reaches for them whenever they are near
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmm... someone will need to watch her child."
<DeathStar> *Taiga smiles as Sunny grabs on and lets her play with the tail and Ren lets herself be grabbed*
<Seraphna> **Jaime muses on something too** I suppose the resort, though I'm a bit worried we just sent a violent vigilante after another violent vigilante, that that might backfire on us badly.
<DeathStar> <Taiga> *pauses at Jaime saying that* I---
<DeathStar> *Taiga peers at the others*
<DeathStar> <Taiga> You just had to get me worried.
<Seraphna> Jaime> Well, it was a worrying move.

<DeathStar> *Taiga picks up Sunny*
<DeathStar> *Ren hops for Charlotte to pick her up*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Honestly, I doubt we would have stopped her oncewe engaged her anyway."
<Seraphna> Jaime> Depends on who she attacks. We know a lot of heroes.
<Alicia> * Charlotte picks up Ren and follows Taiga
<Seraphna> **Angela looks a bit relieved as she gets up to follow, Jaime comes too**
<Jackieness> <Noire> *pays Shion and then goes with the grup*

<DeathStar> *they are soon on the Taiga Shuttle, flying across Mega City*
<DeathStar> *Taiga working on flying on the lowered seat designed just for her, showing off her skills are as bad as her driving skills as she bobs about; her tails holding onto Sunny*

<DeathStar> *a big radar seems to be trying to find magical signatures*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "...and I just ate..."
<DeathStar> <Adeline> Maybe it's a scam to sell food in the club
<DeathStar> *Adeline turns to Kaori* I have a question
<DeathStar> *Taiga soon flies and lands them roughly on a building after getting a signature; they appear to be in an area of complexes owned by powerful business men it looks like*
<DeathStar> *there complexes seem to be producing stuff via automatic production, warehouses to store it, and a main building; it all looks legit*
<Alicia> <Asha> "You have magic machines?"
<Jackieness> <Noire> "So... why here?"
<Seraphna> Jaime> We just call them... machines.
<Alicia> <Asha> "Even when they're magic?"
<Seraphna> Jaime> Probably not but we don't have much outside Spirit powers on Earth.
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "I don't think the machines are making the magic. Am I wrong?"
<DeathStar> <Taiga> These machines are run my electricity

<DeathStar> *Adeline holds Kaori back while the others move ahead*
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "Yeah. They're not causing the signature."
<DeathStar> <Taiga> No, the signature is up ahead according to my little Taiga. *she climbs down the roof and walks over to the warehouse*
<Jackieness> <Noire> *moves on along to the warehouse*
<Alicia> <Asha> "Oh." *looks embarrassed*
<DeathStar> *Ren rises on Charlotte's head; as they near the building part of the wall explodes with magical energy*
<DeathStar> *Taiga landing on ehr ass*
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Ow.
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Taiga... I think you found it."
<DeathStar> *protecting little Sunny, Taiga deadpans* Go forth, Noire, follow the Makai
<Seraphna> **Angela forms her armor and sword, frowning**
<Seraphna> **Jaime tries to look dignified as she picks herself back up**
<DeathStar> *Taiga stands and shakes herself off*
<Alicia> * Asha rushes forward, Charlotte hanging back for now
<Jackieness> <Noire> "I suppose... since you put it so charmingly..." *heads in through the exploded wall*
<DeathStar> *the team enters and sees Zayne stalking a figure, who seems to be chasing another figure who is running for a doorway. The entire assembly has little machines that look to be building parts for stuff; it looks like the parts are meant to be put into all sorts of things like ships and the like. As the man runs he flips a switch and the parts begin to twitch and flies, forming into something as they combine*
<DeathStar> <Zayne> ... *pauses, eyeing this*
<Alicia> * Asha tries to grab one of the parts
<Jackieness> <Noire> "..he had a switch to turn all this into like a killer mecha or something? Really?"
<DeathStar> *Asha grabs it and is pulled along; but she can probably stop it being combined with extra strength*
<Seraphna> Angela> Killer Mecha? **Montana lands on the roof behind her** Got that covered.
<DeathStar> <Taiga> I hate to see what would have happened once they were in ships.
<Seraphna> **Montana charges in at the something, roaring**
<DeathStar> *the sniper continues after the target, leaving them to deal with the fight*
<Alicia> * Asha draws on all her strength, hoping that's enough
<Jackieness> <Noire> *lashes out with tentacles to try to keep it from finishign assembly of whatever*
<Seraphna> *Montana moves into the fight, but Angela seems to go after the running figures**
<DeathStar> *Asha breaks the piece from combining, leaving a weakpoint. The strange looking robot turns and punches Montana*
<Seraphna> **Montana roars unhappily and bashes at it**
<Seraphna> **Jaime stomps the ground and makes a spike of concrete launch up into the bot**
<DeathStar> <Zayne> ... *goes and takes Sunny, as if just going to leave*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmm... so much for that. Fine then." *whips a tendril into her dark edge weapon*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Nicolette, don't forget to thank Zayne befor she leaves!"
<Alicia> * Asha strikes at the robot along with the others
<DeathStar> *Montana bashing slows and distracts it a bit as the others hit the robot, bouncing it about, the metal frame denting from the attacks*
<DeathStar> <Adeline> I calculate that the hole that Asha made could destroy it faster
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Well then..." *points her weapon at the robot and then charges*
<DeathStar> *The robot grapples with Montana and lifts it over it's head to Bane break it over it's knee*
<MobileAri> <Nicolette> "I'll treat her later, this is a bit dangerous for a little one."
<Seraphna> **Montana opens it's shoulder to fire a gun down into it**
<DeathStar> *Zayne has retreated with Sunny, probably due to that*
<Seraphna> **Jaime sends a stone spike sailing at the hole**
<DeathStar> *Ren cheers Charlotte on from the side lines*
<DeathStar> *Jaime damages the weak point and it sparks as Montana damages the arm and it drops it*
<Jackieness> <Noire> *dashes forward and then leaps, slashing at the weakpoitn with the dark edge*
<DeathStar> *the robot makes a sad robot sound as Noire hits the spot, causing it to fall apart back into pieces*
<DeathStar> <Taiga> .... Right. Did anyone see where the sniper went?
<Jackieness> <Noire> "After the victim, of course."
<Seraphna> Jaime> Seems Angela went after it.
<DeathStar> <Adeline> Victim, right
<DeathStar> *Taiga follows along through the door*
<Jackieness> <Noire> *moves after through the door*
<DeathStar> *Adeline walks along*
<Alicia> * Charlotte follows, as does Asha
<DeathStar> *the business man has been shot in the leg with evidence pinned to him*
<Seraphna> **Angela is leaning over him, healing the leg**
<DeathStar> <Taiga> .... *studies Angela* And?
<Seraphna> Angela> One bad thing about my powers, I'm not ranged.
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Uh huh
<Seraphna> Angela> It was secure this guy or probably lose the sniper. And he damaged my Montana.
<Seraphna> **Angela motions to the evidence**
<MobileAri> <Nicolette> "This... was definitely more dangerous."
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Well, so much for the sniper..."
<DeathStar> <Taiga> You been acting weird this entire time. *she murmurs* We can only hope that either Zayne saw the face or there a face cam of them nearby
<DeathStar> *Adeline leans on Kaori, done having her chart with the Kitsune*

<Seraphna> **Angela muses, making sure the guy is trussed up good** Well we'll let the police handle this one.
<Sara> * Kaori blinks

<DeathStar> *Taiga blinks and holds out the datapad to the others*

<Jackieness> <Noire> "mmmmm?"
<Alicia> * Charlotte looks over at the datapad
<DeathStar> *Taiga studies Angela as on the datapad, the sniper's outfit can be seen a block way, moving and on the camera a slight catching of Zephyr's face* So, what is up with Zephyr? Is this authorized missions?
<DeathStar> <Taiga> If so I'll let it go.
<Seraphna> Angela> I don't know for sure. I do know she's been working with Warren a lot lately. She's not fully telling me everything, but I'm trying to keep her from killing.
<Seraphna> Angela> Someone is handing her these missions though.
<DeathStar> *Taiga looks at the others to see if they think this cause for concern*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Really good to talk about it in front...mmmm... you know..." *looks over at the corrupt busienss exec*
<MobileAri> <Nicolette> "So has she gone rogue? Taking out criminals they can't deal with legally?" She frowns.
<DeathStar> *Taiga leans over and stuffs stuff in his ers*
<Alicia> * Charlotte looks uncomfortable with something.
<Seraphna> Angela> Not exactly motivated to give up my sister without her permission.
<DeathStar> <Taiga> I mean part of why I looked into it is because this has to be thrown out in court, right?
<Seraphna> Angela> Has it been?
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Even if she dumps evidence and leaves the criminal at the scene of the crime
<DeathStar> <Taiga> It takes time for things to get rolling. I'm not sure yet
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Right... burden of proof is on the state... and the evidence i literally planted."
<Seraphna> Angela> Mm, if certain people were in the ears of the proseuctors, our government hasn't been beyond the possibility of overlooking the method of arrest.

<DeathStar> <Taiga> *rubs her face* Lets talk to her. See what is going through her brain
<Seraphna> Angela> I was president for 11 years... you get to know the reality of how the system runs. **she sighs** I'll talk to her again. See if I can't get more out of her. But I doubt we have to be overly concerned considering how many of our number do this sort of work.
<Seraphna> **Jaime nods and walks over to the man, peering through his mind to see if he connected enough of this**
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "Is that so."
<DeathStar> *the man is basically planning to talk to his lawyers as soon as he can to try to get him fre*
<DeathStar> *for he is a bad guy and that is what he must do*
<Seraphna> Jaime> Addy, darling, want to make us all anonymous for this? He's planning to spill the beans as soon as he gets to his lawyers.

<Seraphna> Jaime> I'm not as accurate as you are yet. **She smiles**

<DeathStar> 6* Back at the club, Taiga is putting in the stuff to go to the haunted resort, to make Noire happy, when Zephyr comes in, wearing normal clothes. Zayne comes in as well, strangely, the two staring at each other with some hostility as Zayne shows off Sunny to the club*
<DeathStar> <Zayne> You wanted to see me?
<DeathStar> <Zephyr> No they wanted to see me
<Seraphna> **Angela looks apologetic to her sister**
<DeathStar> *Zayne ignores Zephyr and continues to show off Zayne to Nicolette and Charlotte*
<MobileAri> * Nicolette gets Zayne a drink, and does little magic tricks for Sunny
<Sara> * Sunny Jr. claps
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "I realise, I'll have to work on being a good role model."
<DeathStar> <Taiga> We want to understand a bit more of why you're doing what you're doing, Zephyr. Going around shooting people and leaving evidence; there's a high chance the cases are just going to be thrown out
<DeathStar> *Zayne gives Charlotte an empty smile, but for her it might be approval - who knows*
<DeathStar> <Zephyr> It's what I was made to do. *She notes simply* To take down high profile targets. *her eyes shift to red* And show proof of their crimes. But since I no longer work for the likes of Cran or Venerator, I just choose my own targets that falls under the radar of EarthGov

<Seraphna> **Angela muses** I know you take them down and show the proof... but... is someone giving you the evidence? The rate you're accumulating it and the quality seems a bit too much for solo work sis.

<DeathStar> <Zephyr> I do my own work. I was "trained" to get in close, learn, study, and gather the evidence I need to use. Through any means.

<DeathStar> *Zephyr looks back at Taiga and Angela, her eyes looking yellowish, then grins and waves her hand* Don't worry about it. *she laughs* I can just gather evidence and give it to the police or Lemon

<Seraphna> Jaime> You could also talk to Aunt Leyaeh, see about doing missions for the PAX.
<DeathStar> *Zephyr stands up, smiling like a kid now and her attitude completely different* I'll do that. Can I go now?

<DeathStar> 6* The team arrives at a foggy resort. It's nothing compared to Jarivan, but it's a mix of a beach resort with a carnival next to it, the rides looking extensive

<DeathStar> *the resort has been opened to them for their investigation, meaning they can use the facilities*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "I bet its the owner of the haunted amusement park."

The rollar coaster, the mirror maze, the submarine docks to dive underwater (it looks pretty fake), and a ride that lifts you up high into the air*

<DeathStar> <Adeline> Zephyr when she was made had her age locked to 14 to help her get close to her target to assassinate them.
<DeathStar> <Adeline> Make it harder to suspect her; when Ariel got away from Cran's thumb she was assigned to her to be rehabiliated.

<DeathStar> <Adeline> Zephyr doesn't have split personalities so much, they all share one personality, but to help her blend in to get close to her target, she was assigned "personas"
<DeathStar> <Adelines> This allowed her to fit with the situation and adapt with the environment. If she is smoozing with rich people for example, she will adapt and have the persona that will allow her to mingle with them better. I suppose a more snooty persona
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "It can be hard to tell which is which at times."
