<DeathStar> *Taiga walks up to the guards and talks to them, gesturing and they nod, buzzing them in* We've been asked to help deal with a small problem.
<Jackieness> <Moira> "What problem?"
<Ariel> <Nicolette> "This isn't some sort of black op, right?"
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Oh heck no. I refuse to do that sort of thing. We deal with small problems
<ChadWinters> If it was, Marcus would be leading it.
<DeathStar> *as they step in, they see Reploids doing various exercises and a blue haired female Reploid training them, standing next to a Coleish Reploid. Running up to them, Ren tackles Taiga and Kaori*
<Xanatos> 6* Cole is the Coleish reploid, he tilts his head at the group curiously, talking to the blue haired reploid and motioning.
<DeathStar> <Blue> *nods thoughtfully*
<DeathStar> <Ren> Hm. We're drawing eyes. From Blue and Cole. Come this way
<DeathStar> *Ren leads them into a building*
<DeathStar> *Dragging Taiga and Kaori*
<DeathStar> <Sabrina> ... *Tilts her head*
* ChadWinters eyes Cole for a moment then Taiga then moves after the group
<Sara> * Kaori jerks at being dragged
<Xanatos> <Valen> Heh, the blue haired person's name is blue? Nice. 6* He gives the two a thumbs up and walks off after Ren.
<Sara> <Kaori> H-Hessie, I'm being dragged off to be Ren's wife caveman-style
<Jackieness> <Moira> "Have fun!"
<DeathStar> *Blue moves to spy. Sabrina and Adeline follow them into the building*

<DeathStar> *Ren leads the group into an office and takes a seat* I'm glad you came.
<Jackieness> <Moira> *looks around*
* ChadWinters glances around the office, taking it in before he moves to eye a painting.
<Xanatos> <Valen> What's uh. What's up?
<DeathStar> *if there is a painting, it would be a painting of Ren or Taiga*
<DeathStar> <Ren> So um. You know we make Reploids here, right?
<ChadWinters> Yes. 6He looks back towards Ren
<DeathStar> <Ren> And helping them get various jobs. Whatever they want.
<DeathStar> <Ren> Well the first generation finished and so the government had another group made and we're doing it again. But lately something weird has been going on.
<ChadWinters> Oh?
<Xanatos> <Valen> I bet it's ghosts.
<DeathStar> <Ren> There's a curfew but we're not super hardasses. *She leans in* And sometimes come morning a Reploid is found - eaten, or damaged a lot. <Sabrina> Ea-Eaten? <Ren> Like parts of it are chewed away. Nom, nom. We're trying to keep it quiet and really enforce the curfew now but Reploids are strong
<Xanatos> <Valen> ...a technoghost
<ChadWinters> Same pieces everytime?
<Sara> <Kaori> Does it taste good?
<Xanatos> <Valen> Seriously though that sounds awful.
<DeathStar> <Ren> Not everytime. And there's been sighting around the base of something big and creature like, but whenever we go investigate it with Cole or Blue, it's gone. And cameras haven't picked up anything
<DeathStar> <Ren> You guys handle this type of stuff, right?
<Jackieness> <Moira> "...you're seriously asking if it tastes good?"
<DeathStar> <Taiga> ... *grabs her head* No ghosts, no ghosts
<DeathStar> *Taiga goes into the corner*
<DeathStar> <Ren> ... is mom broken?
<Sara> <Kaori> Well if it tastes good, that's what's causing it, you know!
<Jackieness> <Moira> "Bad ghost experience."
<Ariel> <Nicolette> "I... don't even know where to start with this. Are other machines being eaten? Are reploids made with bacon? Do vampires need more iron in their diets?"
<ChadWinters> Always at night?
<Xanatos> <Valen> Even if we as a group won't do this, I'll personally help investigate. Getting eaten is not great.
<DeathStar> <Ren> Well there has been a case of the creature sighting in day light once or twice, but the eating is at night. ... Maybe because that's when the reploids are most likely to be alone?
<ChadWinters> Reploids are generally known for their enhanced strength. So taking one down by itself would take some planning or strength
<Xanatos> <Valen> Got anyone that would let us use them as bait? That's a sure fire way to catch something bad.
<DeathStar> <Sabrina> Do ghosts normally have great strength?
<DeathStar> <Ren> We could use Cole
<Jackieness> <Moira> "Its probably not a ghost!"
* ChadWinters nods to Ren. 1"That's who I'd suggest.
<DeathStar> <Taiga> ... not...a ghost?
<DeathStar> *Taiga turns around slowly*
<Xanatos> <Valen> Cool. And when the technoghost sucks his energy and then starts chomping on his butt we'll jump out and nab it.
<DeathStar> *Taiga sways at Valen saying techno ghost*
<DeathStar> <Taiga> ... they're evolving...
<Ariel> <Nicolette> "Wait... why are you... his butt..." *confused*
<Jackieness> <Moira> *reaches over and baps Valen on the back of the head*
<Xanatos> <Valen> Gah! It's a good plan though!

<Xanatos> 6* Valen pulls a piece of hard candy out of his pocket and slowly unwraps it as he walks.
<DeathStar> *Ren leads them back outside, past Blue and Cole*

<DeathStar> *Ren takes them to the side of the complex; a tall giant building over looks the place, with a glass window where Alexander Cran stares down and watches them*
<Jackieness> <Moira> "What's that, Valen?"
<Chaintan> 6*Kitty shivers
* ChadWinters follows along, glancing up towards the area Alexander Cran usually resides for a moment before looking back down
<Xanatos> <Cole> Should we be offended? 6* He asks Blue as he leans against the wall of the building.
<Xanatos> <Valen> Huh wha? ...I brought some candy.
<DeathStar> *They soon come to a scene with red all over - it looks like blood but if you study you can tell it's machine oil/fluid*
<Chaintan> 6*Hess grimaces
<ChadWinters> Hmmm. 6He walks over to it, eyeing the blood then glances around.
<Chaintan> <Hess> please tell me that isnt...
<ChadWinters> *well reploid blood*
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Machine fluid...
<Sara> <Kaori> ... I'm sorry for joking about this *she notes softly at the sight, shuddering*
<DeathStar> <Taiga> *Speaks finally*
<Jackieness> <Moira> "...I suddenyl don't want candy."
<ChadWinters> A Reploids fluids.
<DeathStar> <Taiga> *wobbles to her feet*
<Chaintan> <Kitty> fluids are never good
<DeathStar> <Ren> It was a messy sight . Thankfully the core was slavageable. The Reploid should be saved in a month or two
<DeathStar> <Ren> Maybe a little memory loss but it should be fine
<ChadWinters> Hmmm. Is there any way to access the core's memories?
<DeathStar> <Ren> We tried
<Ariel> <Nicolette> "A little memory loss might be a good thing..." *Shudders*
<Xanatos> 6* Valen slowly puts his candy back into his pockets, making a face.
<DeathStar> *Sabrina frowns as she circles the area*
<Sara> * Kaori looks around, looking for any sort of other clue; pixel-hunting
* ChadWinters glances back at Valen then Kitty and Moira for a moment. "It's like no ones seen the remains of something dead before."
* ChadWinters stands up look at the ground around the reploid blood.
<DeathStar> *Kaori would find something - off to the side. In the shadows in this side*
<Sara> * Kaori kneels and takes a close look
<DeathStar> *It seems to a grate*
<Sara> <Kaori> There's a grate over here
<Sara> * Kaori tries to open it
<DeathStar> *Ren moves over and checks the map of the area*
<DeathStar> *The grate is extremely heavy. It would take a lot of strength to lift it*
<Chaintan> <Kitty> no Ive seen plenty, and seldom have fluids ever been good tidings
<Sara> <Kaori> Nnnghuh... I can't...
<Sara> * She steps back
<DeathStar> *6 or higher*
<Jackieness> <Moira> "Uh-huh... only a sociopath would get too comfortable with it."
<Chaintan> 6*Hess taps Kaori's shoulder
<ChadWinters> You're not far off. 6He notes to Moira before glancing at Kaori.

<Chaintan> 6*Hess shifts and tries to pull up the grate.
<DeathStar> *Hess's strength is 4, but she has 3 spending points, so the GM puts the necessary spending points into Strength. The grate lifts up*
<Xanatos> <Valen> Look at them muscles.
<DeathStar> *Ren looks down into the darkness*
* ChadWinters eyes the size of the grate
<DeathStar> *her wolfish eyes flickering as she stares and looks with ease in it*
<Chaintan> 6*Hess flops over, panting
<Sara> * Kaori claps softly

<DeathStar> <Ren> It seems to be not quite a sewer. It's for when there's too much rain and for the water. It goes a while. Wait a minute. *She grabs something and pulls out something*
<ChadWinters> What do you got, Ren?
<DeathStar> *Ren seems to have in her hands a strange black, gooy thing, that looks almost like something out of an anime and gives off an evil aura. Sabrina recoils from it, and even Nicolette's Maka senses feel it is wrong, wrong, wrong*
<Sara> <Kaori> Gross
<DeathStar> <Ren> Seems to be some sort of shedded thing
<ChadWinters> To think Blue and Cole missed this thing.
* ChadWinters pulls out his datapad, moving towards it to scan it
<DeathStar> *Blue coughs to Cole from her spying spot*
<Xanatos> <Cole> ...I thought you looked there.
<DeathStar> *The datapad smokes a little from the scan and spits out gibberish*
<Jackieness> <Moira> "..what the heck is that?"
<DeathStar> <Blue> I thought you did
<Chaintan> <Kitty> get that stuff out of here
<DeathStar> <Sabrina> You shouldn't touch that.
<DeathStar> *Ren tries to wipe it off into a test tube*
<ChadWinters> Whatever it is, it's overloading my datapad.
<Ariel> <Nicolette> *has a stack of cards in her hand* "This... might be more than we were expecting."

<DeathStar> *She eyes the test tube while Zegretta avoids it*
<Xanatos> <Valen> Should I holy lightning it!?

<Xanatos> <Cole> Aw man, I should've checked there.
<Jackieness> <Moira> "Its clearly bad news."
<ChadWinters> Hmmm. I wonder if it's related to a Dark One.
<DeathStar> <Adeline> Sure, whatever. *she motions at Valen to fry the substance*
<DeathStar> <Adeline> See if it is weak to it like Dark Ones
<Xanatos> 6* Valen kneels and points his finger to it to give it a zap.
<ChadWinters> But if it's shedding it's outer skin. It would explain how it's getting the drop on Reploids.
<DeathStar> *the substance doesn't seem to care for it but Valen's attack doesn't really affect it. It's clearly not a Dark One*
<Jackieness> <Moira> "What if its changing it form?"
<DeathStar> <Sabrina> It's evil.
<DeathStar> <Sabrina> You should destroy it
<ChadWinters> That or it's core isn't solid.
<Ariel> * Nicolette nods in agreement
<Xanatos> <Valen> Uh, that's like my biggest move....
<DeathStar> *Adeline bottles the stuff*
<DeathStar> <Adeline> .... *peers at the others to see what they think* <Taiga> I'd do it

<ChadWinters> Well, I think it's safe to say it's down there. Question is, do we draw it out with Cole bait or do we go after it?

<DeathStar> *Ren pulls out some rope*

<Xanatos> <Cole> Huh? How'd you know I was spying? 6* He says, standing up from behind a crate.
<Jackieness> <Moira> "You are seriously going to use Cole as bait?"
<DeathStar> <Blue> ... *peers at Cole* I'll get Katherine for you. ... good luck
<DeathStar> *She runs off*
<DeathStar> <Ren> You got a better idea?
<DeathStar> <Sabrina> Heroes do not use others as bait!
<Xanatos> <Cole> Eh I'll do it. If it stops this from happening it's worth the risk.

<Sara> * Kaori makes an awkward face. Nicolette isn't wrong.

<Xanatos> 6* Cole wraps the rope around himself and sinches it tight before going in.
<Xanatos> <Valen> Okay I'm ready for this. 6* He unwraps the candy and plops it in his mouth.
<Jackieness> <Moira> "Seriously, what kind of candy is that?"
<ChadWinters> See if you can teleport it out here when it grabs on to you.

<Xanatos> <Cole> Oh, yeah good call. 6* He calls back.
<DeathStar> *time passes. And passes. Cran continues to peer down from up high, doing the squish thing. Katherine comes, chides them out and prommises to do something to them and Blue glares. Taiga and the rest sit off to the side as it begins to darken*
<DeathStar> <Ren> .... I don't think anything is going to happen
<DeathStar> <Sabrina> .... *has her arms crossed, pouting still*

<Jackieness> <Moira> "Maybe it really only comes out at night time..."
<DeathStar> <Taiga> ... *plays with her hair, looking distant and Adeline messes with something*

<Sara> <Kaori> Yeah?
<DeathStar> <Taiga> How strong do you think you are these days?
<Sara> <Kaori> Well I couldn't lift that grate *she takes it as being a question about physical strength*
<DeathStar> *Sabrina leans against Nicolette*

<DeathStar> *Ren's ears perk up suddenly*
<Sara> <Kaori> I mean, I'm okay I guess? I've been doing my best to learn how to use them better from my moms when I can catch them
<Jackieness> <Moira> *whisper* "...is it here?"
<Ariel> <Nicolette> *adjusts her hat*
<Xanatos> 6* Valen holds his breath, pausing....then loudly crunches on his candy.
<DeathStar> <Ren> I hear something down there. *she goes to grab the rope when suddenly Cole is grabbed and the rope begins to jerk wildly and Ren has to dive to grab it; then she is jerked along with Cole, heading for the grate*
<DeathStar> <Ren> WAWOOO
* ChadWinters moves to grab onto Ren and then the rope
<Sara> * Kaori also moves to grab on
<Jackieness> <Moira> *runs and grabs the rope to pull!*
<Ariel> * Nicolette grabs the rope, trying to keep Ren from being pulled in... but she isn't very strong
<Xanatos> 6* Valen urks and tries to catch it with Moira and the others.
<DeathStar> *it becomes a comedy as they all hold on. Taiga and Sabrina in and a strange creature like out of an anime is holding into Cole, studying him as if he was something, then peers at Sabrina, and just drops Cole*
<DeathStar> *making everyone go slack*
<DeathStar> <Ren> OW
<Sara> * Kaori falls flat on her face
<Jackieness> <Moira> "Owww! Did we lose it?!"
<DeathStar> *The creature moves forward and emerges out of the grate and stands there. <Sabrina> ... No. I-It's a Daimon.
* ChadWinters stumbles back a bit, eyeing Sabrina then fires a shot for it's face
<Sara> <Kaori> What? Here!?
<DeathStar> *the mutated creature seems to be a magical monster, this creature's form looking like some sort of sewer creature. The shot hits it's face, doing barely anything to slow it. It moves forward on all fours*
<DeathStar> *Sabrina begins to backpedal quickly, trying to summon her magical clothes and weapon*
<Sara> * Kaori collects her cannon from the ground
<DeathStar> *when it stops and turns to face Nicolette, and begins to look between Sabrina and Nicolette*
<Xanatos> 6* Valen tries his holy lightning again, this time with both hands. Cole starts making his way, slowly, back out of the grate thing.
<DeathStar> <Taiga> ... I hate monsters.
<Xanatos> <Valen> How do we stop it!?
<Chaintan> 6*Kitty attempts Holy Arrow
<Ariel> * Nicolette retrieves her magic rod from some hiding spot with a flick of her wrist, and holds it defensively.
<DeathStar> *the holy lightning knocks it and then the arrow. The creature stumbles and falls back into the grate on top of Cole*

<ChadWinters> Then why was it going after Reploids?
<DeathStar> <Sabrina> Makan creatures may be born into life as Daimons, evil and aggressive mutated creatures that take the form of twisted or evil magical monsters. Daimons feed on the energy of the non-magical Maka on the planet, although their biggest dream is to feed on the energy of a Magical Girl, or if somehow possible, the planet itself.
<Xanatos> <Valen> Maybe it got a taste for the metal.
<DeathStar> <Sabrina> But they CAN get off the planet sometimes.
<DeathStar> <Sabrina> And there are even bigger works. Kaiju. You really don't wnat to fight them
<Jackieness> <Moira> "Maybe it was going after Reploids because that was all it could find out here."
* ChadWinters eyes Moira at that. 1"Then I'm glad it's choosing Reploids over humans.

<Xanatos> <Valen> Yeah, if Maka are really strong, it may also need to eat strong thigns to survive. It would explain going after them over regular human folks.
