But that's not what Fumoffu is all about is it now? After Christmas a few weeks ago and defeating the Dark Ones during New Year's Eve, encountering Ven. Intelligence, and other challenges, things on the PAX itself has been rather calm (cont)

<DeathStar> <Erevis> I admit training with the Empress can be draining. She has interesting ideas on how to view the world and how to approach it and prepare for it. Some I agree with, I admit. Others I am not so sure.

<DeathStar> *Erevis seems pleased, glancing at the datapad since she attended a meeting once or twice, but not caring to reach for it with Ama there*
<DeathStar> *it looks like a message from Taiga, though the number looks a little off*

<DeathStar> *Katrina gives Ama something sweet as well while Erevis takes Ama's free hand and intertwines it with her own*

<DeathStar> *Aloutte rushes and grabs a to go box, then rushes over to Noire, the child reploid panting - somehow*
<Seraphna> **Kaelan hmms and slips into Tsuki’s shadow to go check things out**
<Jackieness> <Noire> *pays for her food and then carries her box to the club room*

<DeathStar> *the Fumoffu club door is shut before those who arrive. Adeline eyes it carefully*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmm..." *tries the door*

<Seraphna> Jaime> I think she likes you Aunt Tsuki.
<DeathStar> *the door creaks open and the lights are on inside. It reveals a dusty club room that has not been used in 6 months, all the things that were left over from the last time it was used still there - arcade machines, Shion's stuff, chairs, the writing board, and other things. Taiga's desk is there with the chair turned away from them, as if waiting for them.*
<Chaintan> <Ama> oh what do you mean sister?
<DeathStar> <Tsukiyomi> Nothing. *she shakes her head, munching on her food, remaining in the bar with Ama, Erevis, and those still there*
<Jackieness> <Noire> *steps inside* "Are you really going to go through with these theatrics?"

<DeathStar> *Noire would see some government documents Taiga collected, as well as speculations she has made*

<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmm-hmmm..." *carries the folder back and places it on the table, opening it for the others to also see*
<DeathStar> <Adeline> I think the goddesses up at the bar would disagree

<DeathStar> *it looks like, according to one EarthGov report, during the Dark War, one scout group encountered a group and they believe they were subdueing what appeared to be a paranormal subject. But they escaped before they could look into it more and with EarthGov pushed to the limit with the Dark Ones, they did not look into it more*

<Jackieness> <Noire> "Anyway... what do you all make of this?"
<Seraphna> Kaelan> Spoopy.
<DeathStar> *there's another report of a similiar nature, a new group with what appears to be strange equipment - there's a blurring picture of the equipment and there is talismens and other capturing devices for the paranormal*
<DeathStar> *Erevis pours Ama some tea* You think those kids are going to start up their strange club again and play around some more? I remember when they did that when they were 15
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Hmmmm... I suppose you want us to make contact with the proprietors of Kitsune Udon then?"
<Chaintan> <Ama> You mean playing Phasmaphobia? 6*she blinks but takes the offered tea

<DeathStar> <Taiga's voice> That and look into the areas where this new group was spotted. And find out what they are doing
<Chaintan> <Ama> its all games and ghost hunting till they get mad
<DeathStar> <Taiga's voice> They have supposedly been gathering creatures. And I believe they might have even tried to get a Kitsune once but I have no proof.
<Seraphna> Kaelan> Well then I have to spank them.
<Seraphna> Kaelan> Wait where’s the fire rabbit?
<DeathStar> <Taiga's voice> She's monitoring the situation. *the voice seems to warble a little*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Anything else?"

<DeathStar> <Zephyr> *studies the reports and the locations* So we're going to meet with Kitsune Udon. Who runs that these days.

<DeathStar> *as they step in, Zephyr rings up Kitty*
<DeathStar> <Adeline> *looks around the office*
<Chaintan> <Kitty over intercom> Yes? do you have an appointment?

<Jackieness> <Noire> "We'll give you a bad review on social media if you don't see us."
<Chaintan> <Kitty> I see Noire is with you. I'll buzz you in.
<Chaintan> 6*a painfully grating buzzer sounds and the doors unlock
<Jackieness> <Noire> *heads inside*
<Seraphna> **Kaelan makes a howl noise and huffs, slipping in**

<Chaintan> 6*The main floor while looking like it belongs in a museum or library with the many articles of relics and books behind protective glass, the style seemed more at home with a posh uptown cafe with warm woods and polished floors and a faint Bossa Nova track playing a calm tune while Kitty walks down from the second floor.

<DeathStar> <Zephyr> *motions at Noire to take the lead, leaning against the wall*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "We are looking into reports of supernatural catchers*

<Ariel> * Nicolette rushes inside the gate before it closes, "W-whew, made it..."
<Chaintan> <Kitty> you can cross reference our data banks
<DeathStar> *it seems the group has begun since the Dark War - over the past few weeks, though EarthGov hasn't been looking into them seriously and Taiga has tracked them a bit. It looks like they're likely grabbing any type of spirit they can grab and going after more dangerous ones over the past few weeks*
<DeathStar> *Selena is with Nicolette, since the two were together last time. Selena looks around*
<DeathStar> <Selena> This place looks rather ... strange.
<Chaintan> <Kitty> but might explain why ive been able to get paperwork and insurance claims done
<DeathStar> <Zephyr> You've gotten old, Kitty. Despite looking like a teen again
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Regardless... we have been tasked into finding out who and why."
<DeathStar> <Adeline> *moves over to Kitty's reference files and flips through them*

<Chaintan> 6*The second floor is more akin to office space, even if it continues the lax air of a lounge
<Chaintan> <Kitty> understandable, but this seems out of my realm of knowledge...though it seems weird, Taiga usually comes to me with every idea that pops in her head

<Seraphna> Jaime> It was her voice but there was no Si about and she was kinda... sketchy about her. Which is weird because those two are attached by the hip lately.

<DeathStar> *Adeline works through the data at a rapid speed. Selena looks lost*

<Chaintan> 6*Kitty brings up her datapad and calls
<DeathStar> *there is a ring or two, then Taiga answers. The screen shows Taiga is on some planet, long hair in twintails and it looks like she is focused on something else* Hey, ho, Kitty

<DeathStar> <Taiga> Me? Honestly? Doing something productive. But right now. *she holds up her hand, which shakes* But I'm out here to try to get my body relaxed and in shape. So I'm camping - with Si looming over me so I don't run off to help with the War.
<Jackieness> <Noire> "...ladies... it sounds like we've been played."
<Chaintan> <Kitty> so youre not...oh I dunno...hunting down a group of ghost nappers?

<Ariel> * Nicolette shrugs helplessly, "Not sure really. We've gotten some weird jobs."

<DeathStar> <Adeline> Well, in good news, the job might not be bogus

<DeathStar> <Adeline> *she brings up a small group - it looks like they were an illegal group that tried to capture tangible beings of paranoramal nature or things like Kitsune or even ghosts, whatever they could get their hands on, but it was small time. How they gotten so large and massive since Kitty last recorded them long ago is unknown - they clearly do not bust them or try to dispel them. They want them for something*

<Seraphna> Kaelan> Betting odds Si shows up with her?
<Chaintan> 6*Kitty looks over the group to see if any of them are capable of sniffing things out

<DeathStar> *Zephyr rubs her head as Kitty eyes them*

<DeathStar> *Adeline looks at the team* I'm going to remain here with Kitty and go over her information and get some of her equipment.

<DeathStar> *Adeline nods and follows, getting a look that she looks excited to learn new stuff*

<DeathStar> *the group soon finds themselves on a road outside some woods near a swamp. Taiga looks about, the winter weather making her adjust her coat*
<DeathStar> <Taiga> What's so spooky about this area?
<Seraphna> **Si peers around, the area around her always slightly warmer**
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "Maybe it'd be spookier if the ghosts hadn't been kidnapped?"
<Seraphna> Jaime> True, the ghosts being the victims worries me a bit.
<DeathStar> *Selena adjusts her dress a bit as Taiga walks into the woods*
<DeathStar> *Taiga seems to be trying to hack into the club cameras*
<Jackieness> <Noire> *looks around*
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Looking at the spots, the sightings seem to be isolated areas like this.
<Ariel> <Nicolette> "It seems like a place a ghost might hang out..."
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "Makes sense. I've never heard of ghosts haunting major areas."
<Jackieness> <Noire> "someone look up the history of this place."
<Alicia> * Charlotte does so with her datapad
<Seraphna> **Kaelan peers about and mumbles, fixing her kimono**
<DeathStar> *Charlotte, being statted, is hit with a "psionic" attack and falls over, feeling sickly as she has visions of something. A vision of something in the forest/swamp area. As if she is being drawn there*
<DeathStar> *then it vanishes*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Charlotte? What happened?"
<DeathStar> <Selena> *holds up her dress, looking about as Noire would see this place had a mansion here -but the swmap has half eaten it*
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "That was some vision... we should go into the swamp."
<DeathStar> <Selena> Eve will kill me...
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Hmmmm... there. That mansion. It looks good and haunted."
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "It was definitely the swamp I saw..."
<DeathStar> *as they continue toward the swamp, they'll see a mansion further into it, half there. But as they near the swamp, there's a footprint near it*
<Alicia> * Charlotte hurries to the footprint, to examine it. "Aha!"
<DeathStar> *it looks to be a male's bootprint*
<Ariel> * Nicolette casts a wind spell to help her scoop up Selena and set her on her shoulder so she can keep clean for now.
<Seraphna> Jaime> Well, we know it's not one of us.
<DeathStar> *Zephyr blinks* Ah... thank you

<DeathStar> *Zephyr however kneels*
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "Zephyr? What's up?"
<DeathStar> <Zephyr> Hm. Judging by this it was recent. No ghost made this.

<Jackieness> <Noire> "Perhaps one of the catchers."
<Ariel> <Nicolette> "Eh heh... I didn't expect things to be so mucky, when I took the call."

<DeathStar> *The air begins to get colder*
<DeathStar> <Selena> Uh, they did get all the ghosts here, right?
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "Well, if they didn't, I know where the vision came from."
<Jackieness> <Noire> "I hope not. we need them to come back to finish the job."
<DeathStar> *As Noire says that, someone stands behind her*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Ladies, please advise me as to who is behind me."
<Seraphna> **Si fuus and takes a breath, then starts warming the area**
<Seraphna> **Kaelan looks**
<Alicia> * Charlotte also looks
<DeathStar> <Selena> A transparent woman floating over the swamp
<DeathStar> <Selena> I would not take a step toward her
<Jackieness> <Noire> "..of course." *slowly turns around*
<Seraphna> Kaelan> Are you lost lady?
<DeathStar> *the woman reaches toward Charlotte who falls over. Taiga props her up and Charlotte would see a vision of men with lots of spirit tools grabbing something out of the swamp and taking it off. Before she lets off on Charlotte. The woman floats there*
<Seraphna> Jaime> **raises a brow** Did she give you another vision?
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "They took something from the swamp... with spirit tools?"
<Ariel> <Nicolette> "Spirit tools?"
<Jackieness> <Noire> "...given how these ghost stories play out, probbaly her child."
<Seraphna> Jaime> Huh... like the stuff they use to excavate Spirit Fossils?
<DeathStar> <Selena> *shrugs at Nicolette*
<DeathStar> *Taiga eyes the swamp, and for a moment she thinks she sees something movnig in it and jerks back on her butt*

<DeathStar> *the next few locations that "Taiga" managed to have are similiar locations, isolated and with not much to them, but the areas feel like they could have been haunted. A house with access to woods, but there is nothing to them and after an hour Taiga calls it. The place after that is an old hut and the cold winds and plce looks like it might have something but after a while the cold drives them on. Finally the last location is an old shrine*

<DeathStar> *the shrine looks busted up and has strange objects hanging*
<DeathStar> *swaying in the wind and the objects look wrong, peering at the group*

<DeathStar> <Zephyr> Yeah I don't like it
<DeathStar> *Zephyr moves over to the shrine itself while Taiga studies the hanging objects; they look almost like dolls*
<Ariel> * Nicolette fidgets with her cards, her gaze constantly swaying between the different objects.
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "Something tells me the spirits aren't happy with this shrine."
<DeathStar> *the dolls study Nicolette*
<DeathStar> <Taiga> But if these people took what was here, shouldn't there be nothing left?
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmm...maybe they were chased off."
<DeathStar> <Zephyr> Theer is signs of disturbance here at the shrne

<DeathStar> *Zephyr points - some candles have been knocked over and a bit of a footprint in some dirt; also one of the dolls is laying on the ground*

<Alicia> * Charlotte tries to listen to Taiga, before moving to put the candles and doll back in place.

<DeathStar> *the shrine itself seems to be ...emptied*
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Alright, I don't know how to quell spirits like Kitty or Hess
<DeathStar> <Taiga> I watched them a little
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "Me either... so all I can think of is to try to put the shrine back in order."
<Jackieness> <Noire> "they took what was in the shrine proper."
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Assuming they took what was here - or failed - there might be another spirit or there mgiht have been more than one here and the idiots didn't finish the job

<DeathStar> *Selena shifts her spear out a bit, glowing with light energy*
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "Shrines are usually to stronger spirits than just ghosts, yes."
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Or worse... the one in the shrine was sealing the spirits in the dools, and we are now surrounded."
<DeathStar> <Zephyr> That sounds bad. So these people are just nabbing nilly willy
<DeathStar> <Selena> Can we...seal it for a time until we fix this?
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Thats the question... why certain spirits..."

<Ariel> <Nicolette> "So probably their jailer or their leader... either way, they're probably not happy."
<DeathStar> *Selena looks at Nicolette* I could use my Light Spear to try to keep them at bay but I doubt that would do anything without a charm

<Alicia> <Charlotte> "Not real ones."
<Jackieness> <Noire> "I only have the hairstyle. I'm not an actualy shrine maiden."

<DeathStar> *Selena looks dubious and puts her spear down the Light Spear Relic that was retrievd for her; Zephyr contacts Kitty, listening to her*
<DeathStar> *Zephyr and Taiga work together, with Taiga using her bad hand to try to create a charm and slaps it on the Relic*
<DeathStar> <Selena> ... ... *opens one eye at Nicolette* ... are we okay?
<Seraphna> Kaelan> Should I maybe use some Foxfire?
<DeathStar> <Zephyr> It can't hurt maybe. Unless it burns the charm off
<Ariel> <Nicolette> "Well... we're not being attacked yet."
<Seraphna> Kaelan> Shouldn't, it's not so much fire as Spirit Flames. **she sheaths it in Foxfire**
<DeathStar> *surprisingly, Taiga's roll on the charm was perfect. The Light Spear is the weak point; the foxfire helps the weakpoint and the area calms down further and seems calmer*
<DeathStar> *the stopgap works for now until they get the stolen object - Selena has lost the Light Spear Relic*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Well done... we need to find the thieves though."
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Yes. Since we have no further places to check, all we can do is look into paranormal events and hope we run into them. Also I will run checks on the boots
<DeathStar> <Zephyr> For now lets go back to the club and see if we can run into "Taiga"
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Shall we retrieve Zephyr's pad first?"

<DeathStar> *Zephyr lets the others hook up to the old one and for a moment, they see what looks like the ghost woman floating, the area looking cold and icy as a mermaid tail flips up for a second, but it's a swamp. Nonsense.*
<DeathStar> *Adeline joins them, holding various Udon equipment, handing it out - tailsmen, ghost catching equipment, and other stuff*
