<DeathStar> *Taiga is half-asleep at the bar, a monitor in her hands to keep track of Yuki and the PAX stuff, looking like she is not sleeping, her hand more jittery lately*

<DeathStar> *Katrina brings out some drinks; a monitor shows the Iron Paw finally managing to a single - single piece of a hull off the other PAX.
<DeathStar> <Taiga> ... As long as we can repair the gaping maul that tendril made, the minor holes can be done with other materials.

<DeathStar> *Taiga hands a note and slides in, along with Ren, carrying equipment and setting up shop in a room in the back, placing Kaori, who has a headache, in the backroom as well*

<DeathStar> <Ren> So, in these woods in the European State - here. *she zooms in an area* There has been talk about a creature in the woods and women going missing in them, or if they do not go missing, seeing a white beast. And men who go in being gorged to death by something sharp

<DeathStar> <Ren> Needless to say, I think our Supernatural Group will be looking for whatever it is to capture it and take it *she turns toward Vict* No one that has gotten out has given a full description yet other than it being white and moving fast,

<DeathStar> <Taiga> Sorry for having to do this here; the area of the PAX that had the club is still in bad shape. It could take over a year for the PAX to be what it used to be - if it ever is repaired properly.
<Chaintan> <Kitty> so do we have any other details other than its a white critter and men are gored? like is it a rake like creature? slender? 6*her voice growing distant as she moves to get the drinks going
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Ren says women are going missing due to the creature.
<DeathStar> <Taiga> So it's one that likes women
<DeathStar> <Ren> The few that got away is what gave the description of it being fast and white. And that it will stab men

<DeathStar> *paranormal equipment, equipment to see spirits, all the stuff you see on ghost shows*
<Chaintan> 6*Kitty grumbles, returning with drinks and setting them down to be passed out

<DeathStar> *Ren's ears droop* Y-You all can stay here. I'll find more information on my own and let you know. *she gets that stubborn Taiga look*
<Chaintan> <Kitty> I understand but since lots of supernatural creatures prey on or affect women, it doesnt narrow down what we're looking for. And it harming men is usully in that description

<DeathStar> *the group soon arrives a stereotypical village, with the buildings looking out of something from the far past. They definitely do not have high tech stuff here. Ren mutters about vampires as she lugs her equipment around*
<DeathStar> <X> You all take me to the loveliest places
<Chaintan> 6*Kitty yawns, climbing out in proper attire, including her father's bomber jacket
<Chaintan> <Kitty> ok we all have our work bet in on the monster?
<DeathStar> *X wears a light jacket that is bullet proof* <Taiga> Well, monster that is white and fast and gourges enemies with something sharp
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Could be a wolf?
<Alicia> * Michiru has arrived by now. "So, how much do... is that it?"
<DeathStar> *Ren moves up and knocks on a door of a village house; the person inside eyes her with suspicion and refuses to answer.*

<DeathStar> *John has joined Michiru, keeping her safe*
<DeathStar> <X> Should I just ripple one of them out of their houses?
<Chaintan> <Kitty> no, besides, I dont think most people would take it kindly if strangers turned on on their street
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Hm, give me a moment.
<Chaintan> 6*Kitty takes a few steps to the side to start surveying
<DeathStar> *the village is surprisingly large, for a place that doesn't use technology; it sprawls quite large up over the side of a small mountain down into a valley and up to the forest. The map Ren has shows three other villages in the area, all around this massive forest and they all seem to be of decent size and each of them once being mining villages before the mines dried up and know take parts of the forest, but then that stopped it looks like since the lumber mill on this village no longer seems to be operating*
<DeathStar> *Taiga focuses, her six tails swishing as they vanish, but it's clear she's tapping into her Kitsune powers still; knowing it's one of these old type villages, she likely is hiding her appearance and moves up to a door, a glamor on herself*
<DeathStar> *while the others do not see whatever she is doing, the person opens the door sees something as they jerk*
<Alicia> * Victoire does similarly. "Ah... should I hide my red hair streak?"
<DeathStar> <Ren> Mom has definitely begun to lean into trickster powers more lately... *she mutters*
<Chaintan> <Kitty> I remember when she use to refuse using them
<Alicia> <Victoire> "Why would you do that?"
<DeathStar> *Taiga gives a fox like smile and steps back, letting her glamor drop but keeping her fox appearance stay hidden* So, this village is very ... old timey and believes this forest has something in it
<DeathStar> <Taiga> And they newer generations and the older generations are clashing over it
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "Over whether there is something there?"
<DeathStar> <Ren> Whether to hunt it down and make money over it, or whether to respect nature and stay away from it, since they fear it because women, especially pure women, who get close to the forest find themselves waking up in it
<DeathStar> <Ren> The forest has a lot of rare materials in it
<DeathStar> *Taiga

<DeathStar> <X> What could be in that forest that is so rare
<Alicia> <Victoire> "That's what we're looking for!"
<DeathStar> *Ren looks up the area* This part of the world, there should be nothing normal about the woods
<DeathStar> *nothing abnormal
<Chaintan> <Kitty>well either a guardian spirit might be mad from lack of dues or being ignored....or
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Guradian spirits - ungh. That always makes things troublesome. Do you think we should talk to the other two villages or go see for ourselves?
<Chaintan> <Kitty> why dont you talk to them, Mom and I can check the forest and ripple back if its dicey
<Seraphna> Jaime> I can zap Taiga around.
<DeathStar> *Taiga pauses, then nods* Be safe, Kitty.
<DeathStar> *She glances at Jikuu, Victoire, Michiru, and John* You all make sure Kitty doesn't do anything like unleash a spell to save the day. She does that kind of thim
<DeathStar> *thing
<Chaintan> 6*Kitty nods and looks to X before she makes for the treeline
<DeathStar> *Taiga touches Jaime and warps to the next village while John walks with Michiru after the two; X looks about, paranoid, eyeing people in the village they are in watching them*
<DeathStar> <Ren> Think they'll stop us? <John> I'll stop them first if they do
<DeathStar> *John moves Michiru so he is between the village and her*
<Alicia> * Victoire listens to the mood of the area, but it's probably nothing she can't tell through normal methods
<DeathStar> *the village is watching them, many in the village fearful they will anger what is inside, especially since all but John are women. As they enter the woods, the forest feels -- pure. And easy to breathe in. The trees and plants look healthy*
<DeathStar> *and there is even plant life in here that looks rare and hard to find, with plants that look to be the type that heal people*
<DeathStar> <Ren> ... *she debates grabbing one*
<Alicia> <Victoire> "They shouldn't be so scared, I'm an i-wait, never mind."
<DeathStar> <John> You're a what?
<Alicia> <Victoire> "...nothing now. I had to give that up."
<Chaintan> 6* Kitty crouches as she inspects the flora and brings up her data pad for some scans
<Chaintan> <Kitty> so far so good....everything seems fine out here.
<DeathStar> *Kitty's scans find some stuff that is not native to this part of the world, and one item that is extinct, and some that shouldn't be blooming yet*
<DeathStar> *otherwise, it's all stuff that is growing to either be beautiful, or healing property*
<Alicia> <Michiru> "So, what's so special about this place?"
<DeathStar> <Ren> Man, this would make some people freak out
<DeathStar> <Ren> Those who like to make medicines
<DeathStar> <X> Do people still do that?
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "Why not?"
<DeathStar> *Kitty would hear noises deeper into the forest, like running. Ren jerks and begins to strap cameras to the trees*
<Chaintan> 6*Kitty turns towards the noise, and submits her scans while she puts the datapad into record mode
<Chaintan> <Kitty> Im gonna see what it is
<DeathStar> <John> ... I'll join you. *X nods and comes with as Ren puts a paranormal camera up, one from Kitty's organization, then trips to follow, holding a camera*
<Alicia> * Michiru heads after
<DeathStar> *the scans Kitty submitted begin to return to her*
<DeathStar> *while they hear galloping sound - it pauses*
<DeathStar> *as if sensing they are in the forest*
<DeathStar> <John> That's 4 legs I think
<DeathStar> <X> Or more
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "Oh my god, it can't be..."
<Alicia> *can not*
<DeathStar> <Ren> What cannot be?
<Alicia> <Victoire> "Are those hooves?"
<DeathStar> *the galloping begins to head toward them now, rapidly*
<DeathStar> <John> *he grbs Michiru and throws her up a tree*
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "And a horn."
<DeathStar> <Ren> ... What are you getting at?
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "How many of us are vir-" <Victoire> "You can't just ask that out loud!"
<Chaintan> 6*Kitty makes a face
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "...ah, sorry. I think it's a unicorn."
<DeathStar> *a white looking "creature" speeds past and Jikuu and Victorie and nabbed as it runs into them, them landing on it's back*
<DeathStar> *it runs past* with them on it*
<Chaintan> <Kitty> A dullahan?

<DeathStar> *Kitty's device gets her answer on the scan*
<Alicia> <Michiru> "Did the future kids get kidnapped?"
<Chaintan> 6*Kitty bristles and begins to ripple after the nabbed pair
<Chaintan> 6*and tries to check the device
<DeathStar> <John> I barely had time to throw you up
<DeathStar> *it is indeed, a Unicorn, as Jikuu guessed right*
<Alicia> <Michiru> "We're going to have to save them."
<DeathStar> *Kitty catches up and lands on the unicorn's back with her ripple*
<DeathStar> *it turns back, not wanting Kitty and bucks, trying to get her off*
<DeathStar> *X grabs the others and ripples a few feet behind as it speeds ahead*
<DeathStar> <Ren> What the hell is a unicorn and why does it want the girls?!
<Chaintan> <Kitty> oh no, youre not gonna be rude 6*she grapples its neck
<DeathStar> *The unicorn makes a horse like noise, it's horn glowing and circles, heading for the others; seeing John, it gets even angrier ad goes to try to impale him* <John> I,uh, I can't move suddenly
<DeathStar> *John twitches*
<Alicia> <Michiru> "It's a mythical horned magical horse that..." *grabs John and teleports out of the way*
<DeathStar> *John lets out a breath as it goes through where it was*
<Alicia> <Michiru> "Stop trying to impale him!"
<Chaintan> 6*Kitty digs her heels into the unicorns ribs
<Chaintan> <Kitty> Im tryin to bring it to heel
<DeathStar> *the unicorn makes a displeased noise, rearing back and the two girls topple back off it's back while Kitty remains on. The two have a battle of wills, the horn glowing and the forest tries to grab at Kitty. Ren stops at anything reaching for Kitty while she brings it to heel*
<DeathStar> *John rubs Michiru's head* Good girl
<Alicia> * Victoire tries to calm the unicorn by singing to it.
<DeathStar> *The unicorn soon, stopss struggling and seems to accept Kitty*
<DeathStar> <Ren> Did Kitty just ... get a ... horse..
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "It's not uncommon to want a pony."
<Chaintan> <Kitty> good boy
<DeathStar> *John approaches it but the unicorn's horn glows at John so he backs ofF*
<Chaintan> 6*Kitty pats the unicorn's side
<Alicia> <Michiru> "They traditionally don't like men."
<DeathStar> <John> I'm impressed you guys figured that out. I had no idea
<DeathStar> <Ren> So are we...keeping it?
<DeathStar> *Ren eyes the forest as they walk with the unicorn*
<DeathStar> <X> We can't leave it here
<DeathStar> <X> It clearly goes after virgins
<Alicia> <Victoire> "But what else can we do?"
<DeathStar> *X eyes Jikuu and Victoire*
<Chaintan> <Kitty> I dont think we can take it with us either mom
<Chaintan> 6*Kitty clicks her teeth to try and get it to trot
<DeathStar> *the unicorn pauses, then begins to obey*
<DeathStar> <X> I see. Well, I can also end the problem. *she taps her weapon*
<DeathStar> <John> I suppose we could teach it to behave with one of us - Kitty - coming here and giving it lessons.
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "We do not need to resort to violence."
<Chaintan> <Kitty> we're not killing a unicorn mom

<Chaintan> <Kitty> its really really bad if you do, like, perminant curse
<DeathStar> *X mumbles* When you were a little girl, you would have been like "Yes, lets kill all the unicorns!"
<Chaintan> 6*Kitty groans
<DeathStar> *As they near the forest entrance, they find Taiga there, pacing about*
<Chaintan> <Kitty> its harder when its breathing and warm....plus feel how soft it is
<DeathStar> *X eyes it, then touches it, finding it hard to remove her hand* ... I suppose it is nice to touch. For a real unicorn.
<Alicia> <Victoire> "Hi Taiga! We found the unicorn!"
<DeathStar> <Taiga> ... *she eyes it, then touches it* Wow, I remember when you were little you used to---
<DeathStar> *Ren seems to be musing on something* <Taiga> Er, anyway, I found out something in the second village! No time for flashbacks!
<DeathStar> <Taiga> I sent Si on ahead!
<Alicia> <Victoire> "Probably for the best."
<DeathStar> <Taiga> I was talking to the other village and it seems what they experienced was something different, and hearing about a unicorn makes sense. They have something in the forest and it would kill people and had two horns on the head and moved around on all fours. Yet other times it would let people move about the forest. They called in the judger.
<DeathStar> *Taiga holds up a crude drawing* This was what someone drew long ago before they closed off the forest
<Chaintan> <Kitty> maybe this might scare it off?
<DeathStar> *it appears to look like a dragon like creature with antlers*
<Chaintan> 6*Kitty looks at the unicorn
<Chaintan> <Kitty> wanna see whats going on over there Ferdinand?
<DeathStar> *The unicorn accepts*
<DeathStar> <John> Why do I have a bad feeling about this?
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "Wait. We have a unicorn and a...?" <Victoire> "Kirin?"
<Chaintan> <Kitty> cause youre kinda the one who will get hurt John
<DeathStar> <John> ... Aw.
<DeathStar> *the second part of the forest feels much more ... harder to breathe, the forest here looks darker and the woods made of materials that looks to be darker wood and wood from the east
<DeathStar> *definitely not materials you'd find here, in anycase*
<DeathStar> *Ren looks about cautiously*
<DeathStar> *John remains behind as they walk onward and the group can find eyes on them. Jikuu can feel judging eyes on them.*
<Alicia> <Victoire> "This place feels wilder." *continues to feel out the atmosphere*
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "...I hope I meet your expectations, forest."
<DeathStar> *soon they come across a beautiful patch of grass with the Qilin on the far end, but it looks like the onyl way to reach it is to watch across the grass to it*
<DeathStar> *watch - walk*
<DeathStar> *Ren moves to walk over, as does X*
<Chaintan> 6*Kitty looks at the unicorn to guage if its worthwhile to stay astride it rather than approach the qilin on her own
<Alicia> * Jikuu eyes the grass, before starting to head over.
<DeathStar> *The unicorn eyes it, not looking that impressed; it wlaks across the grass, but not touching it*
<DeathStar> *as they arrive, it turns to Kitty, the only one who walked across properly*
<DeathStar> <Ren> I don't think it likes me. It's giving me a look
<Chaintan> <Kitty> ...are you going around killing people
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "My apologies if I was supposed to stay off the grass."
<DeathStar> *it seems to indicate in her head that it is judging them. It seems to indicate in her head that they are going through some warped version of it's (and Kitty goes through Taoist and Buddh like thinking but it's clearly wrong if it ends up in death - or a type of death, if they are gone)*
<DeathStar> *it leans toward Ren, opening it's mouth*
<Chaintan> <Kitty> ah ah, you bite her you get a smack
<DeathStar> *Ren instinctively pushes Victoire and Jikuu back away from herself*
<Alicia> <Victoire> "... you are not eating Jikuu."
<DeathStar> *The creature eyes Kitty, displeased, and the unicorn's horn glows*
<DeathStar> <Ren> *to the two girls* If you need to, run girls
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "What sort of creature would attack someone for walking on the grass?"
<Chaintan> <Kitty> taoist
<DeathStar> *Taiga meanwhile has creeped along the treeline above them*
<Chaintan> <Kitty> which seems a bit redundant, if it wouldnt harm grass by walking across it, why is it ok to bite them? they made a mistake or didnt know
<Chaintan> 6*Kitty wags a finger at the Qirin
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "... no, really, does it expect us to fly?"
<DeathStar> <Ren> It was a trap. To make us walk on it to judge us.
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "That is not virtuous."
<DeathStar> *Qirin pauses, frowning at being chided and looks guilty looking* It is only so they could learn for a few thousand years and come out better for it. *it huffs
<DeathStar> <Taiga> *crouches, ready to pounce if need be*
<DeathStar> <Ren> I think most of us would be dead by then
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "Humans do not normally live that long."
<Chaintan> <Kitty> thats not how that works
