Taiga has created creepy chucky cheese like robots to dance and sing for the event while everyone has gathered. Taiga seems to be tinkering with some off to the side; despite not being part of the meetings lately, she is sitting in on this one building something*

There is a ton of supernatural activity in this area of the world. *referring to the North American mid-west* And I've charted tales of sounds of trains in areas where we no longer use tracks and trains anymore. The most haunted train is this one. *she shows images of a beautiful luxury train with lots of cars on it; it looks like something out of a classic movie from hundreds of years ago* This train apparently was attacked by something and all lives were lost. But then it returned
<DeathStar> <Ren> The train was suspected to have been carrying something that made it a target
<Sara> <Kaori> "The most haunted train" *she repeats out loud as if unsure she heard right*
<DeathStar> <Ren> Anyone who gets in it's path just becomes part of the train legend has it.
<Chaintan> <Hess> how do you think they figured the rankings?
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Ok, everything about this train and its last shceduled trip that you know... like where it started, where ti was going, and when and where it was cut short."
<Chaintan> <Hess> actually thats a good point, some might only follow along leylines or old metals
<DeathStar> <Ren> Good point. *She brings up where the train is usually seen* As for the schedule trips, I'll try to get that but it was long ago. Ah here. *the train's path appears on the projected screen from a mountain that used to have train tracks out west to the cities there*

<DeathStar> <Ren> It's believed to be sometime in the late 1900's to mid 1900's

<Jackieness> <Noire> "Alot of the towns serviced by this train look like they were abandoned later on."

<DeathStar> <Ren> I am seeing if I can alter reality chances to make the train appear faster so we don't have to wait for hours
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Ghost towns, True. *as she is talking, there seems to be a slight rumbling on the ground like something is approaching*
<DeathStar> *Taiga's ears perk up and she turns to look around*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "And where did you come up with a blood sacrifice gimmick?"

<Jackieness> <Noire> "It was rhetorical." *waves ahand dismissively*
<DeathStar> *in the distance, ther appears to be something approaching*
<DeathStar> <Taiga> ... alright. Lets see if we can get on this train
<Jackieness> <Noire> "So... we just let it run us down then?"
<DeathStar> *the train begins to approach. At first it appears to be a normal train. But as it gets closer, one can see it is not - it appears to be see through*(
<Sara> <Kaori> Ghost train! *spooky tone*
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Well, if we let it run us down with the devices on, it might run us over
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Then how exactly is this supposed to work then?"
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Hm. let me think
<DeathStar> *Taiga kneels and foxholes*
<Chaintan> 6*Hess reaches into her pack
<Chaintan> <Hess> just in case...
<DeathStar> *then appears over the ghost train and her device glows as she falls toward it*
<Chaintan> 6*Hess pours out salt in the path of the tracks
<DeathStar> <Ren> ... Goodbye momma. I claim your stuff
<Jackieness> <Noire> *looks at Ren* "I suppose we should follow."
<DeathStar> *Taiga lands on top of the train and seems to be on top of it*
<Seraphna> **Jaime and Si hop through after her**
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "If only there was a... that works." *hops into the foxhole*
<Sara> <Kaori> First the animatronics, then she boards a train to the afterlife...
<Jackieness> <Noire> *steps through the foxhole and then on to the train*
<DeathStar> <Ren> *falls in*
<Chaintan> 6*Hess shrugs and hops in
<DeathStar> *As they all land on the train, it feels like sinking into jello and the air in different now. Peering at the outside world, it looks hazy now, even as the train runs over the salt as it continues onward*

<Sara> * Kaori hops in after Hess
<Sara> <Kaori> Yes. Did it work?
<Chaintan> <Hess> it was insurance so we could board
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Didn't seem to bother the train."
<DeathStar> <Taiga> It could still be useful down the road still. Never know. *Taiga moves to slowly get inbetween the train cars, climbing down and opens the train door, and makes a startled scream below*

<DeathStar> *Ren begins to climb down*I
<Chaintan> <Hess> Taiga!? you ok?
<Seraphna> **Si hops down and Jaime heads after them**
<DeathStar> *as they enter the fourth passanger cart, the atmosphere changes once again - the lights are on, people are moving about, and Taiga is being acousted by a person in a suit for a ticket and eyeing her clothes suspiciously*
<DeathStar> *holding her by the scruff of her clothes*
<DeathStar> <Ren> What in the heck?
<Sara> <Kaori> Oh gosh!
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "Rude."
<Jackieness> <Noire> "...mmm...what time period for fashion?"

<Seraphna> **Jaime adapts here clothes to the period and flashes over to them, holding out pieces of paper with the word “TICKET” on them**
<Jackieness> <Noire> *tries getting the device to switch to late Victorian fashion*

<Alicia> * Charlotte goes with a gothloli look, since that's around the correct era.
<Jackieness> <Noire> *steps in as a grand debutante of the Gilded Age* "Mmmmmm... what's all this then?"
<DeathStar> *the inspector eyes Taiga* Watch your child then. *he moves off*
<DeathStar> *it seems their clothes pass for this time period*
<DeathStar> *Taiga sighs, matching something close to Charlotte's, but with a white look*

<Jackieness> <Noire> *holds a handfan... opens it and fans herself* "Shush now...a child should be seen and not heard."
<Seraphna> Jaime> It seems they operate by proxy. Probably can’t even see us early but what they want to see.

<DeathStar> <Ren> It does seem like they didn't notice our ears or other oddities

<Jackieness> <Noire> "They have to follow the script of events that leads up to their meeting with fate, afterall. Now, let's find this erstwhile cargo."
<DeathStar> *the people on this train car seem to be enjoying a nice lunch*

<DeathStar> *sitting in their seats, they are being served food while chatting and dining*
<Seraphna> Si> I have a feeling eating ghost food is a bad idea.
<Jackieness> <Noire> *looks around and then moves toward what she assumes would be the baggage car*

<DeathStar> *Ren hovers over what looks like ham*
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "I feel like ghost food isn't... Ren, no."

<Chaintan> <Hess> can i offer you a pizza slice in these trying times

<DeathStar> *As they enter the next car, they find the a passenger room and two kids are sitting there, talking to each other, a girl with white hairs and a boy. They seem to be holding dolls*
<DeathStar> *beyond this car is more. The girl peers up at them, mysteriously* <Girl> ... hm.
<Jackieness> <Noire> *fans herself* "Mmmmmm?"
<DeathStar> <Girl> Do you want to play with us?
<Jackieness> <Noire> "I am a lady of Manhattan society."
<Chaintan> 6*Hess looks at the others
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Hm. <Girl> No you're not. You're a faker *she chuckles before standing up and entering her room on the train, leaving the boy to play alone
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Uh... Should we ... continue on?
<Jackieness> <Noire> "...where is Ren?"
<DeathStar> *Ren noms on her food behind them* Here
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Wer you payign attention? This is exactly what you needed to be keeping an eye out for."
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "I really hope that isn't ghost food."
<DeathStar> <Ren> I saw that. That ghost was aware
<DeathStar> *Ren looks at Charlotte all innocent, then shows it's pizza*
<Chaintan> <Hess> so it begs the question, how is that ghost more perceptive than the others
<Sara> <Kaori> Faker? I think you're the fake around here! You're comparing yourself to us? You're not even good enough to be our fake! *she says, pointing at where the girl had been* ... ... ... *long pause, then she slumps*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "...come on..." *walks down further until she is presumably out of earshot of the ghost girl* "...perhaps she is their jailer."

<Sara> <Kaori> I'm fine, I just wish I could have said it sooner
<DeathStar> *the train seems to speed up a bit*
<Chaintan> 6*Hess rubs Kaori's back
<DeathStar> *Ren looks around, ear twitching as she goes to join Noire, then peers back*

<DeathStar> *Taiga crosses her arms* Well, something changed
<Seraphna> Jaime> Is if possible certain ghosts might be key to the train running?

<Sara> <Kaori> we can't assume the train itself doesn't have feelings after all

<DeathStar> <Taiga> It could be a number of things. *She opens the door to the next cart and goes to take a step and almost falls to her death, the space between the cars having increased by good jump*

<DeathStar> *Taiga grips onto the side, barely holding on*
<Jackieness> <Noire> *reaches over and pulls aiga back in* "The train has started fighting us."
<Chaintan> 6*Hess cracks her neck

<DeathStar> <Ren> And it was so friendly before
<Chaintan> <Hess> we need to keep moving up the cars right?
<Sara> <Kaori> We have to get to the front so Hessie can suplex it
<Chaintan> 6*Hess attempts a ripple to next car
<Jackieness> <Noire> "I'm trying to get to the baggage train to see what the mystery cargo might be."
<Seraphna> Jaime> Makes sense.
<DeathStar> <Ren> Right, we could split up, some going to the front. But we're checking the back for treasure first
<DeathStar> *The ripple opens up and Ren steps in and appears in the baggage area*

<DeathStar> <Ren> Lets see, why was this train attacked. *She looks about the train, searching it and soon finds a strange lock box in the back that seems to stand out from the others*

<Jackieness> <Noire> "Ah, now this looks appropriately mysterious."
<DeathStar> *Taiga puts all the gems and jewery on Hess to hold, passing it through the ripple*
<DeathStar> <Ren> But how to break it? *the code seems to have strange symbols, almost like a non-basic language*
<Jackieness> <Noire> *looks it over too*
<DeathStar> <Ren> Is this one of those regional Earth languages we don't use anymore?
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "Probably because of that." *looks over the code*
<Sara> * Kaori has passed through the ripple to join the others
<DeathStar> *using the datapad, it claims to be one word: hieroglyphs*

<DeathStar> *the password has 4 of them to unlock it, probably forming a word*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "MMmm... an ancient writing system of some sort."
<DeathStar> <Ren> Think we can just force it open?
<DeathStar> *Taiga monitors something on her wrist* The train is picking up speed again; there might be more commotions going on elsewheer
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Iyt could be trapped... no... does your pad have any information on this writing system?"
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Probably unwanted guests
<DeathStar> *Ren works and brings up the entire alphabet*
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "Unless there's some sort of security."
<DeathStar> <Ren> But what could be the password?
<DeathStar> <Ren> It could be any 4 little word
<DeathStar> <Taiga> It's probably something simple
<DeathStar> <Taiga> The real hard part is knowing how ot use the symbols

<Jackieness> <Noire> "We need to look for combinations of the symbols that the mechanism allows us to use."
<DeathStar> <Ren> That's the problem. The entire alphabet is available to us
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "It's probably a word that's important to someone. Love?"

<DeathStar> *Ren then tries open with the symbols and it clicks open*

<Sara> <Kaori> See, no one ever uses secure passwords
<Jackieness> <Noire> "...well...someone has a sense of humor. Anyway, what is inside it?"
<Sara> * Kaori opens it and looks
<DeathStar> <Ren> .....*inside seems to beautiful artifact from egypt that looks like powerful. As the train continues, it seems to be glowing along the leyline, perhaps doing something. The girl speaks behind Kaori* <Girl> You shouldn't touch.
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmm... I was wondering when you might show yourself again."
<DeathStar> *at that moment the lights begin to flicker and it seems someone is trying to stop the train up front. Taiga peers over* Looks like the supernatural unit is trying to stop this train by force. *when the lights come back on, the train looks decayed and wrong, as if they been riding on someting that has been rotting for hundreds of years*
<DeathStar> *The girl reaches for the box*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Our friends did somethign stupid again, didn't they?"
<DeathStar> <Ren> It seems so.
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "Who is this?"
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Yes, we didn't exchange proper introductions."
<DeathStar> *the girl takes the box from Kaori* You wish to know?
<DeathStar> <Girl> It is rare that treasure hunters want to speak to me
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "That is why I asked."
<Jackieness> <Noire> "We're more here to stop the other guys, and they probbaly want this thing."
<DeathStar> <Girl> I am the guaridan of this and I am here to send any who try to defile this to hell. *she closes the box* It is a powerful artifact. <Ren> We're used to dealing with spirits and artifacts. If you've been keeping everyone's soul trapped on this train for years just for that--- *she pauses as the girl vanishes to deal with the others*
<Sara> <Kaori> Welp, she's gone
<DeathStar> <Taiga> She definitely likes to leave. What's the plan?
<DeathStar> <Ren> We have to deal with her to stop the train right?
<Jackieness> <Noire> "First the hunters."
<DeathStar> *Ren nods and has Hess moves to the front of the train* Come on Char
<DeathStar> *As they head backwards, the train looks decayed and ruined, but the people on it seem to be still moving about as if unaware, eating the rotten food and talking. The conductor eyes them as they walk past by, especially Taiga
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Why does he keep eyeing me?
<DeathStar> <Ren> Glad I didn't eat that ham...
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "See? Don't eat ghost food."
<Jackieness> <Noire> *waves her handfan, trying to intimidate with her social elite presence as she moves past*
<DeathStar> *As they work their way up to the front, they come across the supernatural squad, taking down ghosts moving about the train, pinning them and putting them in containments, and working their way toward the team, when the girl appears; when one tries to contain her, she simple touches him and he becomes part of the train, wandering around, clothes changed - his life overwritten*

<DeathStar> <Ren> ... Okay then
<Sara> <Kaori> Oh no...
<Sara> <Kaori> I mean, on one problem, I get it, but on the other, can you imagine? That's awful
<Sara> on one hand, problem, I get it*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Well... at least she is reasonable."
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Yeah, it's pretty dangerous.
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "This entire thing seems pretty dangerous."
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Let's fre the captured ghosts as well... and this time see if we cna capture one of these idiots for some answers."
<DeathStar> *The supernatural squad seem to try to take her down with their weapons, attcking her with everything, lighting up the car - and even doing some pain to her it looks like, but holding the relic, she slowly moves to touch another -then another*
<DeathStar> <Ren> We better hurry before none are left.
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Right, come on." *moves forward*
<DeathStar> *the remaining few squad members, of which there are three, tosses a grenade at her to try to stun her with some sort of mystical power*
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "I doubt we can learn from the ghosted supernaturals, so... yes."
<DeathStar> <Ren> Do we have salt?
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Right, Hess has salt. *borrows some from her*
<DeathStar> <Ren> I say we salt her and grab the relic
<Jackieness> <Noire> *steps forward, spawning her tendrils*
<DeathStar> *Taiga throws salt at the back of the ghost girl as she is recovering, making her sputter; she turns, eyeing them incredulously*

<Jackieness> <Noire> "...mmmm...talk it out with ehr... convicne her more of these fools will come, better armed next time.
<DeathStar> <Ren> Kaori will send more of these fools next time, better armed, for she doesn't like you

<Jackieness> <Noire> "Then maybe she will coem with us..." *then dashes forward, going after the three reaming supernatural hunters*

<DeathStar> *The supernatural agents try to get off the train as Noire chases them*

<Alicia> <Charlotte> "Do we even know what this is?"
<Jackieness> <Noire> *uses her tendrils to try to snare at least one of them*
<DeathStar> <Girl> ... *she eyes Kaori* <Taiga> I think it's some sort of guardian spirit summoned to protect that relic? It might have crashed the train to protect it?
<DeathStar> *as Noire catches one of them, the girl speaks* <Girl> I did not crash the train. I protect the relic from people like you trying to take it by adding to the dead to deter from thieves
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "I mean the relic." *places something on it*
<DeathStar> <Ren> I'm getting nothing on it
<DeathStar> <Ren> But I think it's connected to the leylines.
<Jackieness> <Noire> *reels him back*
<DeathStar> *The supernatural agent aims at Noire and fires at her bracelet, trying to make her part of the train*
<Jackieness> <Noire> *slams the agent against the floor* "Don't annoy me!!!"
<DeathStar> <Girl> *zooms in front of Kaori* Leave. This will by my only warning
<DeathStar> *She goes to leave*
<DeathStar> <Taiga> So what did crash the train if she didn't

<DeathStar> *The agent groans and seems unconscious*

<DeathStar> <Taiga> If I had to guess, that thing is some sort of "ghost" who protects the relic from thieves and after the train crashed, made it a ghost train to protect it from thieves, and anyone who nears it is swept up
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Trapping their souls forever.
<Alicia> <CHarlotte> "...alright, we have to free them somehow."
<DeathStar> <Taiga> I do have one idea

<DeathStar> *Taiga walks off and feels up Hess where she put all the jewels and jewelry from the train, to see if they are still any good*

<DeathStar> *The ghost train slowly begins to move again as Ren pulls Jaime off*
<Sara> <Kaori> Hey, what are you doing to my fiancée! *she eyes Taiga*
<Chaintan> <Hess> hey! i need to focus!
<Chaintan> 6*Hess hisses as she feels the train start to move as she grips it
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Save it for next time. We need to get our guest secured. Now."
<DeathStar> <Ren> What are you planning, Hess?
<DeathStar> *Taiga hands Kaori a ruby*

<Chaintan> <Hess> to suplex it...like planned/.
<DeathStar> *Ren calls in the shuttle and moves to put the prisoner into the shuttle, then jerks her head back* You're kidding
<DeathStar> *as the train begins to move now, it pulls away from Hess, pulling her along*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Save the suplexing for next time when we decide to stop the trainn permnanently."
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Hess, if your mother kills me.

<DeathStar> *The train wobbles, as if it as about to be movd by Hess*

<Jackieness> <Noire> *nods with satisfaction*
<DeathStar> *Taiga stands up* We've made out with a lot of money today

<Alicia> <Charlotte> "I still want to know what it was."

<DeathStar> *Ren mumbles* I'll try to look into it and get back to it. Clearly it had something to do with leylines so I'll start my research there
