<DeathStar> <Ren> Well, hopefully we will not need to spend too much time on the train, confronting the girl
<Seraphna> **Thena pops in wearing a sheriff outfit** Reach for the Pie!
<DeathStar> <Ren> After all, that ghost girl was rather terrifying
<Jackieness> <Noire> *points at Kaelan* "And she gets away with being out of context, why?"
<Chaintan> 6 muffles in distance* 1 <Hess> CAN I SUPLEX IT THIS TIME
<DeathStar> <Taiga> I'm setting this up just for it. .... *mumbles* X better be right that you can do it
<Seraphna> Kaelan> Every western is either stolen from a samurai film or has one. I am in theme.
<Seraphna> Thena> She has a point.
<DeathStar> *the train can be heard approaching, as it nears the group can feel it trying to draw them into their world. Taiga flicks something, using Kitsune Udon materials combined with her machines and somehow makes the train solid*
<DeathStar> <Ren> Uh, the train is headed straight for us...and is solid
<Sara> * Kaori looks at Hess
<Seraphna> Kaelan> Hess will suplex it.
<Chaintan> 6*Hess beams and looks positively estatic
<DeathStar> *the "ghost" train zooms forward, somehow making itself look more monsterous as Ren edges to the side*
<Sara> <Kaori> Uhhhh... good luck, Hessie
<DeathStar> *the ghostly tracks rattling*
<Chaintan> 6*Hess steals a quick smooch from Kaori1 <Hess> got all the luck I need right here. 6* another smooch and tap to Kaori's nose before Hess rushes to the tracks and assumes position to grapple the oncoming locomotive
<Sara> * Kaori giggles and watches Hess at work
<DeathStar> *the train rushes against Hess, trying to run her over, before being grappled*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Why did we go along with this plan?"
<DeathStar> <Ren> Fun!

<DeathStar> *she makes the one word sound dangerous*
<Chaintan> 6*Hess grunts as she slides back a bit, gripping the train as much as she can as she tries her best as harnessing her strength to pull the train from the rails
<DeathStar> *The train slowly is lifted up, then amazingly is suplexed, slamming on the ground and lays there. The ghost girl tries to climb out to get at Hess, but the train already begins to dissolve away, taking her away with it*
<DeathStar> <Ren> .... Wooo!
<Sara> <Kaori> I think it's doing a boss death animation
<Chaintan> <Hess> I cant believe it actually worked
<Jackieness> <Noire> "...the train is gone...d...did we do all this just to let Hess have this moment?"
<DeathStar> <Ren> Oh no, I got other ghost spots
<DeathStar> <Ren> We'll be spending a few days out here
<DeathStar> *Taiga and Ren clap for Hess*
<Sara> * Kaori blink blinks
<Chaintan> 6*Hess plops herself on the tracks to catch her breath and just soak in the moment while smiling stupidly
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Ren, there is no longer the urgency to investigate these ghost spots now that VI is off the gameboard. What else is going on here?"
<DeathStar> <Ren> Well, that is true, I just thought it might be fun to have a vacation out here. I wanted to finish up the train case
<DeathStar> <Ren> And while at it check a few spots out here with everyone
<Sara> * Kaori moves over to Hess and throws her arms around her
<Seraphna> Si> Family fun time!
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Well, I'd point out a problem with this resolution to the train case." *adjusts ehr glasses* "We still don't know whatw as actually in the box."
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Ah, the box. *she moves to their vehicle, made up to look like a carriage*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Yes, the box thatw as on the ghost train."
<Chaintan> 6*Hess blinks but pulls Kaori in

<DeathStar> <Taiga> *digs around in the sand where the train was destroyed and pulls out a box*
<DeathStar> <Taiga> This box?!
<DeathStar> *Taiga resumes moving to the carriage and tosses it into the back*
<Seraphna> Si> Maybe.
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Ahem... yes... that box."
<DeathStar> <Ren> We'll figure it out while on our trip
<DeathStar> *Ren gets into the carriage, where a figure is sitting in the back, arms crossed*
<Jackieness> <Noire> *climbs inside*
<DeathStar> *Zaynr turns to Noire, dressed like a cowgirl* .... .... *Scowls, having Sunny beside her* I was tricked. This is not a club vacation
<Sara> <Kaori> Well, on we go, I guess
<Seraphna> Si> It is! Ren has plans.

<Chaintan> <Hess> sounds like it. 6*Hess gets to her feet, carrying Kaori to the carriage
<DeathStar> <Zayne> .... *Turns to Sunny* Observe - this is what it is like to be "Fooled".

<Jackieness> <Noire> "Perhaps you had best placate Zayne by ealboarating on the next activity."
<Sara> * Sunny Jr. just blinks at Zayne

<DeathStar> *As they all get in, Ren drives them along and hands out the pamplets of a self-made map. Taiga glances at her's*

<Seraphna> Si> Fuuu… **leans over Taiga to look**
<DeathStar> *it shows what is believed to be the Lost Dutchman's Gold Mine*
<DeathStar> <Ren> I used the PAX's scanning equipment to search this area!
<DeathStar> <Zayne> How quaint
<Jackieness> <Noire> "When did you have the opportunity to do that?"
<DeathStar> <Ren> Well, the PAX was in the area around Earth while back and I might have used my brief time on the bridge to direct my scans to the mountains
<Seraphna> Thena> She didn’t bribe innocent princesses with candy that’s for sure.
<DeathStar> *the carriage soon arrives outside what looks to be an ancient mine shaft*
<DeathStar> <Taiga> So are we here for the gold or the ghost
<DeathStar> <Zayne> Ghost?
<Sara> <Kaori> We're hunting ghosts
<Jackieness> <Noire> "We took up ghost hunting as a club activity a while back."
<DeathStar> <Ren> Uh, right. We're after the ghost of this mine.
<DeathStar> *Ren puts away a sack*
<Seraphna> Kaelan> Miner or the Mine?
<Chaintan> 6*Hess pouts a bit
<Chaintan> <Hess> so we have to stay in the mine for this vacation?
<DeathStar> <Taiga> I certainly hope now
<DeathStar> <Ren> I Think the legend says if you steal any gold and leave
<DeathStar> <Ren> That's when stuff happens
<DeathStar> <Ren> So no
<DeathStar> <Ren> Lets just go in and grab some stuff and get out
<Jackieness> <Noire> "And we get to the saloon and have a party when?
<DeathStar> <Ren> Sure. *she steps outside and heads into the mine with her sack*
<Chaintan> <Hess> in theory couldnt that be really easy to fall into? A lot of mines have fragments and slivers of precious metals over big chunks....so by walking in and out you could theoretically 'steal' gold.
<DeathStar> <Taiga> .... *hands out helmets*
<DeathStar> <Taiga> That'd be scary
<Jackieness> <Noire> *takes a helmet* "This is feeling less and less like a vacation."
<DeathStar> <Zayne> We have been "fooled"
<Chaintan> 6*Hess grimaces more
<DeathStar> *Ren rushes inside the mine*
<Sara> * Kaori glances around between people
<DeathStar> <Ren> Fine, I'll get something, wait here
<Seraphna> **Si follows**
<DeathStar> *Zayne leans against the carriage, content to wait*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "If she doesn't come back, we'll have to go in and rescue her."
<DeathStar> <Taiga> That is true. *she checks her datapad*
<Seraphna> Kaelan> Well the rabbit followed her. They burrow.
<DeathStar> *As they talk, a smell of sulfur rises up and the sound of footprints can be heard*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "...smell that? We got one..."
<DeathStar> *it walks past the group, but nothing is there, and walks into the mine; the sulfur smell slowly fading*
<DeathStar> *Taiga lowers her datapad* ...
<Seraphna> Kaelan> But they haven’t come out yet.
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Can't be the goldminer then
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Hess, if the sulfur smell comes back, I want you to suplex the ghost."
<Sara> <Kaori> Do you think there'll be cowboy ghosts down here?
<Chaintan> <Hess> more likely miner ghosts over cowboys
<DeathStar> <Zayne> ... hm
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Unles Ren got her facts wrong and a bandit gang hid their loot here."
<DeathStar> *suddenly there's noises in the mines*
<DeathStar> *and rabbitish screams.*
<DeathStar> <Zayne> Huh
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Well... time to go then." *heads for the mine*
<DeathStar> *As they enter the dark mines, the smell of sulfur is thick and growling like a beast - a dog maybe - can be heard, chasing something in the mines*
<Chaintan> 6*Hess sighs and climbs out with helmet on
<DeathStar> *on the ground burnt into it is a print*
<DeathStar> <Taiga> .. *kneels*
<DeathStar> <Taiga> That looks like a dog print
<Chaintan> <Hess>...gramps talked about something like this before...
<Jackieness> <Noire> *sighs* "We might have a hellhound."
<Sara> <Kaori> Oh yeah? *she eases on a helmet*
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Oh great. *As she says that, a foxhole opens and Ren scrambles through, dragging Si through; but suddenly invisible snapping can be heard through the hole*
<DeathStar> <Ren> Aieee?!
<DeathStar> *Ren's arm is snagged and begins to get pulled back through her own hole*
<Chaintan> <Hess>...yep, thats a hell hound
<Chaintan> 6*Hess moves over and punches the muzzle
<DeathStar> *there's a noise and Ren is let go*
<DeathStar> <Ren> *shuts her hole off*
<Seraphna> **Si falls over all wobbly**
<DeathStar> <Ren> Uh, there's stuff in there.
<DeathStar> *she holds her sack*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "What manner of stuff?"
<DeathStar> *the mine shakes - as something is running back* <Ren> Like a pack of wild beasts trying to eat me and Si!
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Hell hounds...
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Great
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Lets get to the carriage and go
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Then back outside. Now."
<Chaintan> <Hess> so our vacation was to a hell hound den, joy
<DeathStar> <Ren> I didn't knooooow.
<Sara> <Kaori> Sadge.
<DeathStar> <Ren> I thought a ghost was here
<Jackieness> <Noire> *heads for the outside* "We'll have a discussion about this when we are not fighting demon dogs."
<DeathStar> *Taiga helps Si along back to the carriage, where Zayne notes the box is glowing when she sits down in the back*
<Seraphna> Kaelan> **gets in, Thena looks up from a video game**
<DeathStar> *Taiga gets Si inside and gets into the driver seat when suddenly an invisible creature is breathing behind Kaori*
<DeathStar> *biting at her tails*
<Jackieness> <Noire> *pokes ehr head out of the carriage and then tries smacking the apparition around her her tendrils*
<DeathStar> *it makes a noise and leaps onto the top of the carriage, the weight making their ride sink down a bit*
<DeathStar> *meanwhile, Kaori seems to be chased around be two more invisible hellhounds; the only options left to her is to try to go to the carriage, or a hollowed out, half-tree*
<Chaintan> <Hess> for the the love of... you want another smack, youre gonna get it!
<DeathStar> <Taiga> I can't drive like this
<Seraphna> **Thena pops up above and smacks it with her hyper glove** BAD PUPPY!
<Seraphna> Thena> No biscuit!
<DeathStar> *it goes visible for a moment, turning to look at Thena; it looks like a normal dog, but shadowy and angry*
<DeathStar> *Seeing Thena - who is practically a cat, it goes iwld and attacks her window, it's weight shifting off the top*
<Jackieness> <Noire> *tries to snag it with ehr tendrils to lob at wher she thinks the other two are*
<Seraphna> Thena> **puffs her cheeks, and baps it’s nose**
<Seraphna> Thena> Be good or no steak!
<DeathStar> *Noire rolls it and manages to get Kaori time to run over*
<DeathStar> <Zayne> ... *leans out and forms her magic gun to fire wildly, blowing up areas while Taiga cranks them up and begins to drive off*
<Seraphna> Kaelan > If she tames a hell hound…
<DeathStar> *Ren eyes Kaelan as the carriage heads out*
<Seraphna> **Thena gives the hound a look**
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Now ten..." *settles back in her seat* "...Ren...this wasclealry not the Lost Dutchman's Mine..."
<DeathStar> <Ren> apparently....
<DeathStar> <Ren> But I ahd the spot down to a T I thoguht.
<DeathStar> *She eyes all the gold*
<Sara> <Kaori> So who owned this mine then?
<Seraphna> Si> Why were the fire puppies mean?
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Clealry not the Lost Dutchman."
<DeathStar> *Taiga eyes what looks like the ghost dogs chasing them, speeding up; they soon approach an abandoned western town when the carriage begins to act up, smoke coming out of it and Taiga has to pull in*
<DeathStar> <Taiga> I'll need time to repair it before we can get to a normal city
<Chaintan> <Hess> did you pack salt anywhere in here?
<Seraphna> **Thena muses**
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Ren, where are we?"
<Sara> <Kaori> Who took dogs into a mine so they could die? That seems really cruel
<Seraphna> **Si opens her subspace and pulls out an industrial bag of salt**
<DeathStar> *Ren eyes the city* Apparently this is a ... oh we should not be here
<Chaintan> <Hess> I'll buy us some undisturbed time so we can fix the carriage 6*hefting up the bag
<Seraphna> Kaelan> Just how haunted is Earth!?
<Sara> <Kaori> We shouldn't be here? Then good thing it's time to go
<DeathStar> <Ren> Basically, we should be fine as long as we do show respect to the town
<DeathStar> <Ren> And do not go into the mountains if we can help it
<DeathStar> *as she says that, one of the buildings has something move in it*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Ren..." *takes off ehr glasses* "...talk."
<Chaintan> <Hess> next surprise 'vacation' needs to be a stay-cation
<DeathStar> <Ren> Basically, there's a lot of ghosts here and if we take anything
<DeathStar> <Ren> We are fucked
<DeathStar> <Ren> It's why this place has not been touched
<Sara> <Kaori> How about a catgirl cafe-tion
<Chaintan> 6*Hess gets out and rips open bag of salt to start the barrier
<Seraphna> Kaelan> Earth has too many ghosts. The moon is better.

<Jackieness> <Noire> *slips her glasses back on* "Everyone stays inside the carriage. This adventure has become annoying and tedious."
<DeathStar> *Taiga works on the engine*
<DeathStar> *a howl in the distance can be heard - the hell dogs*
<DeathStar> <Ren> Ah... I'm not sure we can stay in here
<DeathStar> *as Ren says that, the smell of sulfur is smelt*

<Jackieness> <Noire> "Circle of salt around the a carriage."
<Chaintan> <Hess> it'll keep them away yeah
<Chaintan> <Hess> why do you think I asked if we had any
<DeathStar> *doggy breath dogs up the window on Kaori's side*
<DeathStar> fogs*
<Chaintan> 6*As she keeps spreading salt
<Seraphna> Si> Borrowed it from the restaurant. Extra salty.
<Sara> * Kaori shudders
<DeathStar> *there's movement in the town - it seems the dogs are upsetting things*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmm... we might have spirit war brewing."
<DeathStar> *Taiga manages to get a spark and the engine revs*
<DeathStar> *Taiga pulls herself up* .... *she eyes the movement all around them*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Taiga, once we have an opening, we need to get out of here."
<Seraphna> Kaelan> Maybe we drive away.
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Right, the easiest way to town is through the mountains Ren was like "don't do it". <Ren> Well the book of ghost stories claims Skinwalkers roam there. Hess, are there such a thing?
<Chaintan> <Hess> no we need to be REALLY north for that
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Okay then I'm going for it
<DeathStar> *the dogs try to get to the car by bashing against it when something from one of the houses flash and a the dogs howls and poofs*
<DeathStar> *black smoke rising up*
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Gunning it
<Jackieness> <Noire> "I think one of the hellhounds just got shot."
<DeathStar> *Taiga drives them for the mountains*
<DeathStar> <Zayne> I could have done that

<Jackieness> <Noire> "It might have needed to be a gost gun."

<Sara> <Kaori> A ghost... gun...?

<DeathStar> *she narrows her eyes*
<Sara> <Kaori> I mean there's Spirit Gun but that's a power not an actual gun
<DeathStar> *they soon arrive in a city, Ren directing them to a hotel she has booked for them*
<DeathStar> *with night falling Taiga pulls in*
<Chaintan> <Hess> please...no more ghosts for a hot minute...i need to at least shower and eat....
<Jackieness> <Noire> "..now...Ren... is this a real city with real, living people?"
<DeathStar> *as the group gets out, Ren huffs* <Ren> Go inside the hotel and see for yourself. *As she says that, a black bird eyes the group and makes a strange cry and flies off, almost vanishing*
<DeathStar> <Ren> ... okay, that was fog
<Seraphna> Thena> Such a pretty town~
<DeathStar> *she walks inside*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Fine, I'll go and see." *heads into the hotel*
<DeathStar> *Zayne carries Sunny inside where a hotel staffer sits inside a fabulously old hotel*
<Seraphna> **Kaelan sneaks in**
<DeathStar> *probably dating back to the 1800's or later*
<Seraphna> **Si walks with Taiga**
<Jackieness> <Noire> *rigns the bell* "First question, is this establishment haunted or cursed in any way?"
<DeathStar> <Staffer> How can we help you. Yes, we have installed modern appliances like hotspringers.

<Sara> <Kaori> ... This is definitely a place someone must have been murdered
<DeathStar> <Staffer> Yes we are haunted by the man who established this place. He likes to roam about and torture - I mean check up on us staffers at night

<Sara> * Kaori looks at Hess

<Chaintan> <Hess> *whine* dont say stuff like that, i want to enjoy washing up and eating in peace
<DeathStar> <Staffer> He might even turn off lights when no one is in them

<DeathStar> *Ren sets down the money for all their rooms*
<DeathStar> *Taiga has passed out standing*
<Chaintan> 6*clearly beginning to show early onset of 'hanger
<Seraphna> Thena> Hot tub time!
<Jackieness> <Noire> *points outside* "We were saved from the hellhounds because they triggered the other set of vengeful spirits in that literal ghost town."
<Seraphna> **Si carries Taiga to their room**
<DeathStar> <Ren> *shows their food menu - having fancy food*
<DeathStar> <Ren> And their hottubs are large
<DeathStar> <Ren> Mmmmmm? Mmmmmmm?
<Chaintan> 6*Hess just whines
<Jackieness> <Noire> *takes a deep breath* "Fine. But if I get kidnapped by another cursed painting..."

<Chaintan> 6*Hess snags her keys and marches to wash up

<DeathStar> *it seems Ren truly did mean to have their adventures to end here to be fun*
<DeathStar> <Ren> After we're done, there's some conventions in town we might enjoy
<DeathStar> *Ren plops onto her bed*
<Chaintan> 6*Hess ignores the grandire to just strip down and fling herself into first shower stall
<Sara> * Kaori goes to shower too
<DeathStar> *Taiga has crashed into a bed, asleep*
<Jackieness> <Noire> *starts undressing with a flat expression on her face*
<DeathStar> <Ren> You'll enjoy it
<DeathStar> <Ren> You'll see tomorrow. Only a day or two was for the ghost stuff, the rest was for the conventions and exploring this city
<DeathStar> <Zayne> I wonder if that box brought us all this bad luck. I should destroy it
<Jackieness> <Noire> "I could have gone back to Tokyo and walekd around Akihabara if I wanted an excuse to cosplay."
<Chaintan> <Hess> I am beginning to think that suplexing the train wasnt worth all this
<Chaintan> 6*stomach growling

<DeathStar> *as they walk, they pass a mother talking to the police, describing a crying woman at the river near the city going where are her children before vanishing in thin air* <Ren> Heh, lets move on quicker

<DeathStar> *As they arrive in a massive multiplex with multiple levels with clothes, an arcade, and a theater*
<DeathStar> *it seems this place has everything in it*
