<Chaintan> <Hess> you think Ren will come back though? I know mom is kinda in a weird spot too with the whole...ya know...constantly dying thing and all
<DeathStar> <Taiga> I don't know; I think it was mainly the aftermath that got to her
<Seraphna> **Jaime sits there, probably encouraged to socialize, it's remarkable that she hasn't returned to being a wallflower all things considered**
<Chaintan> <Hess> maybe a small break will give her some time to miss everything

<DeathStar> *as they pass a few of the smellier residents of the underground, they reach a hallway*
<Seraphna> Jaime> We need to fix things down here....

<Seraphna> Jaime> I mean make it better.

<DeathStar> <Taiga> This far down in the ship - who knows. *after traveling down a few narrow hallways, they reach what Taiga wanted to show them. A residented of the below - a homeless man stuffed into faux suit made of trash made to look like a robotic suit - a trash suit of sorts - with the word Hess written in blood on the wall*

<Sara> * Kaori says nothing but jerks backward
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Sadly there's little coverage down here. But. *she pulls out datapad; showing in the shadows of the down below. The limited coverage CHIP has shows the man picking about the garbage that collects down at the bottom of the ship when something lunges at him from off camera, something large and pulls him off camera. Screams follow*

<DeathStar> *Taiga nods and turns to go when there's sounds of movement in the walls of the PAX's crawlspace*

<Seraphna> **Kaelan pokes her head out of the shadows** What're you all doing down here?

<DeathStar> *As Taiga turns to go back the way they come, the area with all the homeless people seems to be empty now; excpt Kaelan, which makes Taiga scream*

<DeathStar> *she begins to bounc up and down, cursing, tails poofed up*

<Chaintan> <Hess> why would you do that!
<Seraphna> Kaelan> Pop out of the shadows? The thing I literally do 20 times a day?
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Alright, lets just...slowly make our way up top. *as she says that, there appears to be eyes staring at them from some vents up above - mainly at Hess and Kaori*

<Seraphna> Kaelan> Is it judgemental and looking down on me?
<Seraphna> Kaelan> Then it's probably Noire.
<Chaintan> <Hess> No I understand that usually, I just mean down here where it stinks
<Seraphna> Kaelan> Oh, this place has great Shadows for my materials.
<Sara> * Kaori peers up, having a bad feeling
<DeathStar> *there's loud thumps as whatever it is moves off*

<Seraphna> Jaime> We do get all sorts of strange things living in here.

<DeathStar> <Taiga> Well if it's some man eating alien, it might be fixated on Hess and Kaori as it's next meal
<DeathStar> *she begins to walk up the stairs*

<DeathStar> *Taiga turns* I'm sure we'll be fine. *as they begin to ascend, the stairs are blocked off by large metallic objects, as if something dragged them there while they were investigating the body. Taiga stares in disbelief*

<Chaintan> <Hess> Thats not like it can really stop us you know
<Chaintan> <Hess> ripples and all

<Chaintan> <Hess> Im happy to figure that all that out anywhere but here
<DeathStar> *Taiga opens a foxhole, getting an alert from CHIP due to power usage and steps through*
<Chaintan> 6*Hess walks through with Kaori
<Seraphna> **Jaime and Kaelan follow**
<Sara> <Kaori> Good thing we have abilities like these
<DeathStar> *As they arrive at Taiga's faux club room, she sits down and turns to face them* So, any ideas what is down there and ow to deal with it? It clearly was trying to trap us
<Seraphna> Jaime> I ended up muting those alerts ages ago. Like a Goddess will be held back.
<Chaintan> <Hess> It doesnt seem supernatural, so im guessing someones using the duct system to prey on other unfortunates...maybe spy who knows

<DeathStar> *Taiga begins to work on something* It probably is too afraid to some down here due to CHIP's reach.

<DeathStar> <Taiga> There's no room for a bus. Here. *she lays out a map of the lower levels* We need to pick a location down there and use it as our eyes and ears
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmm...a killer? Are we sure its not one of Thena's cannibals again?"
<DeathStar> *The map shows all the redundant tunnels and rooms below engineering, many of them waste rooms before they're burned or vaporized*
<Sara> <Kaori> Are we sure it's not Thena?
<DeathStar> <Taiga> This one likes to stuff them into bodies. So who knows. If we can lure the killer into one of these waste rooms and get rid of them that would be nice

<Seraphna> Jaime> Thena's currently obsessively stalking the Lightning Spirit...
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmm... well, that would explain her lack of presence then."
<DeathStar> <Taiga> *Raises her eyebrow at that, then explains what the killer did to the dead*
<Sara> <Kaori> The Lightning Spirit? Who would do that? Creepy.
<Seraphna> Jaime> It's Thena. The moment she realized her Element had a Spirit it was her focus...
<Seraphna> **Jaime looks down gloomily.
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Lets change topic. The spirits is a sore spot for many after what happened

<DeathStar> *she points at a room* This room will suit our needs
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmm...Hess, have you angered anyone, including lab experiments that want revenge upon you for being granted a simulacrum of tormented life?"
<DeathStar> *Adeline walks in* I thought that was Andrea's department. *She looks tired*
<Seraphna> **Jaime grabs Adeline into her lap**
<Jackieness> <Noire> "MMmmm...my mother is busy with her scheme that involves entry into politics."
<Seraphna> Kaelan> Can it be called Entry when you seize control of it?
<DeathStar> *Adeline examines the room - it seems to be an supervisor room of sorts for the waste disposal* <Taiga> Andrea and politics.... that's terrifying. Anyway, with this room I should be able to transform it and hook it into the main system
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Well clearly her opponents had some skeletons that they would rather drop out of the race rather than be let out of the closet, mmm?"
<DeathStar> <Adeline> Giving us camera access to the bottom floor?
<Chaintan> <Hess> Last I checked I havent pissed off anyone
<Jackieness> <Noire> "And what about your loved ones? Anyone who would want to hurt them by harming you?"
<Chaintan> 6*Hess rubs the back of her head
<Chaintan> <Hess> that could be a long list all things considered, between my grandparents, my moms...theres a lot of drama to go round

<Seraphna> **Jaime watches resting her chin on Adeline's shoulder**
<DeathStar> *Taiga and Adeline work out what they need, Taiga grabbing a few cameras* Alright, I think we have what we need to transform that one room. Here's my plan
<DeathStar> <Taiga> The room nearby the one we're setting up camp has a waste dispoal unit taht the PAX uses to vaporize waste.
<DeathStar> <Taiga> We just need to lure whatever it is into that room and bam.
<Chaintan> <Hess> I would argue we might be going at this too hard...but we did just see them murder someone...
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmm...what else did you notice?"
<DeathStar> *Taiga muses* How about this?
<DeathStar> <Taiga> We can try to trap it
<DeathStar> <Taiga> *eyes the various rooms* Here.
<Jackieness> <Noire> "To adequately trap it, you need a room with only a single entrance that we can control. Not even accessible ductwork."
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Right
<DeathStar> <Taiga> We'll need to take out the vent system after it enters the room
<Chaintan> <Hess> is there anyway to lock down certain vents?
<DeathStar> *Taiga muses* Lets find out. We'll need to go down there and take a look for ourselves
<DeathStar> *Taiga opens a foxhole, getting another alert*
<DeathStar> <Adeline> I'm sure I can figure something out
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Hidden riot foam canisters wired to a remote?"
<Chaintan> <Hess> maybe work a tazer in there somewhere
<Jackieness> <Noire> "We don't even know what it is. It might not be taze-able."
<Chaintan> <Hess> if it can stuff a body in a suit, im gonna just chance it
<DeathStar> *As they reach the office for the waste disposal, it seems like it hasn't been manned for a while mainly being in automated mode*
<DeathStar> *everything is on low lighting and the monitors are off*
<Chaintan> <Hess> looks like budget cuts hit this place hard
<DeathStar> *in the distance they can hear the sound of the waste disposal running, making noises*
<DeathStar> *Taiga and Adeline begin to power the office up slowly, turning things on, and Adeline attaching - but then it all shuts off*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Did something chew through the power cables?"
<DeathStar> <Taiga> No, I think we can't hae too much on at once
<DeathStar> *Taiga turns on the monitors first after rebooting the sytem*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "...how absurd."
<DeathStar> *Adeline then uses her camera device, which allows the monitors to display what is happening in the other rooms around the office and waste disposal office - the sad thing, it's completely dark around the office itself*
<Seraphna> **Jaime muses and peers around** Perhaps I can give the room more capacity.
<DeathStar> <Taiga> I don't have time to properly rewire this place. Alright. *she flips the monitors to a side room* We can try to lure it to that room if we're not luring it to the waste disposal. *She shows the map of the vents - it seems the vents connect to every room but the office, including the rooms right next to them*
<DeathStar> *suddenly there's banging sounds outside the office*
<DeathStar> <Adeline> ...
<Chaintan> <Hess>...
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Noire
<Seraphna> **Kaelan bangs back**
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmm?"
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Can you find it on the monitors?
<DeathStar> *it seems to be banging on the left side*
<DeathStar> *and geting closer*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Let's see..." *flips through the monitors to try to find the left hallway*
<Seraphna> Jaime> **frowns a bit, leaning a bit against Adeline as she waits**
<DeathStar> *something drops out of the vent in the darkness. Due to it being so dark, they can't quite see it, outside it's glowing red eyes as it's approaching the office*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmm... at least we know it has eyes."
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Well, that's the opposite of where we want it to go - not the one room or the waste disposal, it's headed for us. *she has her hand hovering over the door close button*
<Seraphna> **Jaime glows a sudden bright green as she assumes Spirit Form**
<Seraphna> **With an odd hint of Pink in it**
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Of course not. All the bait is in here."
<DeathStar> *they can hear the footsteps outside the office now - a mushy footstep sound*
<Chaintan> <Hess> close the doors
<DeathStar> *Taiga hits the button, power draining*
<Jackieness> <Noire> *pushes her glasses up* "...who did the wiring in this place?"
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Don't ask me
<DeathStar> *The creature stops outside the door*
<DeathStar> *And begins to wallop on it*
<DeathStar> *Thump thump*
<Chaintan> <Hess> how much power do we have to keep these doors shut
<Seraphna> **Jaime touches the door on the other side, then slams the outer part of it facing the creature into a spike**
<DeathStar> <TAiga> We can't keep it shut for lon--- *She watches as JAime twists the door into a spike to stab the creature*
<Chaintan> <Hess>....I dont think that door is going back up even if it wants to
<Seraphna> **Jaime then forms the spirit blade she's been working on in one hand and her other hand crackles with hyperspace** I have... so much stress I'm going to relieve here.
<DeathStar> <Taiga> I think you're right...
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmm...so do we change strategy now?"
<DeathStar> <TAiga> I think we're being forced into it
<Seraphna> Kaelan> Nah, I can foxhole us.
<DeathStar> *she eyes the door still draining power since it's in a shut position*
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Alright lt me see if we can get a good look at it before we lose power
<DeathStar> *Adeline grabs a light and Taiga foxholes it outside* Noire, camera
<Jackieness> <Noire> "And why is the door that now has gravity and friction acting upon it, draining power?"
<Seraphna> **Kaelan preps a foxhole our while Jaime waits for the beast, glowing enough to illuminate**
<Jackieness> <Noire> *flicks the security cameras to the hall just outside*
<DeathStar> *outside is one of Kaori's animatronic for her birthday, all crushed and mangled, with the lower half being a human's body that it attached to make up for it's lower half being thrown into the crusher*
<DeathStar> *it begins to work, all thwap whwap twap away and pulls itself up into the vents*
<DeathStar> <Taiga> ....
<DeathStar> <Taiga> I think it wants to finish the birthday song for Kaori
<DeathStar> *she looks stunned*
<Seraphna> **Jaime reaches out and starts grabbing and crushing it** Sing you twisted canary.
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Hess, its for you."
<Chaintan> <Hess> but i dont want it
<Jackieness> <Noire> "You built it. Its for you."
<DeathStar> *Jaime crushes the lower half off*
<DeathStar> *while the upper half escapes*
<Chaintan> <Hess> I didnt build anything!
<Seraphna> Jaime> CHIP! How are you not seeing a giant killer bear robot in your vents?
<DeathStar> <CHIP> Please extend my range of view
<Chaintan> 6*Hess looks around the office for anything they dont need
<DeathStar> *the office has a broom, magazines, Kaeline, a tiny little hulu girl that is dancing on the desk*
<Chaintan> <Hess> here goes nothing
<DeathStar> *Adeline works on extending the range of their camera distance*
<Chaintan> 6*Hess ripples the hula girl down the hall
<DeathStar> *there's clanging noises as it begins to track the hulu girl*
<Seraphna> **Kaelan will remember the narrator including her in that list**
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Honestly, why not just ripple it in half?"
<Chaintan> <Hess> 6*in whisper1 ok so, sound seems to be something its attracted to
<DeathStar> *Taiga nods* IT seems to be damaged
<DeathStar> <Taiga> I suppose when they threw themseleves into the compactor something happened
<Chaintan> <Hess> well if it comes back thats exactly what its getting
<DeathStar> *she keeps her voice low*
<DeathStar> *there's movements about the vents, then suddenly singing can be heard* Haaaaaaappy Birthday. *throughout the vents*
<DeathStar> *along with party favor sounds*
<DeathStar> *due to the damaged voice box, it comes out all broken and cracklely*
<Chaintan> <Hess> ok, death it is
<Chaintan> 6*Hess attempts Bad Luck
<Seraphna> **Jaime takes a breath, waiting for something to smash**
<DeathStar> *There's tripping sounds*
<DeathStar> *clank bang*
<DeathStar> *Taiga flips through the cameras with what juice they have left and the machine as tripped itself up*
<Chaintan> <Hess> oh good it worked
<Chaintan> <Hess> now i'll ripple it in half
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Good luck.
<Chaintan> 6*Hess forms a ripple as close as she can to the middle
<DeathStar> *Hess manages it right as the power goes out and they lose camera feed*
<DeathStar> *everything goes quiet*
<DeathStar> <Taiga> *forms foxfire* So anyone want to risk going into the vents to check it out?
<DeathStar> <Adeline> I'm good
<Jackieness> <Noire> "This is the sort of thing that Thena is normally useful for."
<DeathStar> *Taiga turnd to Jaime and Kaelan*
<DeathStar> <Taiga> You want to go in?
<DeathStar> *TAiga turns to Noire* I Guess she doesn't want to do it after all. Noire?
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmm...if it will end this nonsense." *stands up*
<DeathStar> *Taiga nods and helps her up into the vents*
<Seraphna> **Jaime grumbles and moves in**
<Jackieness> <Noire> *crawls up into the vents* "...besides...its dark in here, which means I'm stronger..."
<Seraphna> **jaime shrugs and waits**
<Chaintan> <Hess> I'll treat you to coffee and pastries, Noire.
<DeathStar> *The vents are narrow and tight*
<Jackieness> <Noire> *crawls through the vents*
<DeathStar> *Adeline hugs Jaime*
<DeathStar> *Noire comes across part of the animatronic, cleaved in half. The bottom - well, mid half since it already had lost half - is sparking*
<Jackieness> <Noire> *whips out her tendrils to dump the lower half out of the vents for Jaime to chew on*
<DeathStar> *suddenly, the upper half grabs Noire* Happy... Kaori.... *it begins to try to stuff itself in Noire*
<DeathStar> *grabbing her jaw*
<Jackieness> <Noire> *then tries to lash its jaws with her tendrils and yank them apart* "Nnnnnnn!"
<DeathStar> *There's comedic thumping in the vents above. Taiga tilts her head and Adeline blinks*
<DeathStar> *rolling sounds, sparking and rrrrrrr, stabbing and noises*
<Chaintan> <Hess> Noire?
<Seraphna> Jaime> She's getting all the fun.
<DeathStar> *soon it grows quiet*
<DeathStar> <Taiga> ... Um
<DeathStar> *CHIP restores power to their area*
<DeathStar> <CHIP> I have connected myself to the area thanks to Adeline's device
<DeathStar> <CHIP> All is well. Do not be afraid
<DeathStar> *Noire dropst though the vents with a defeated party robot*
<DeathStar> *streamers coming out of it's head*
<DeathStar> <Taiga> ...
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmm...where is my victory chariot?!"
<Jackieness> <Noire> *then tosses the head at Taiga's feet*
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Uh. I can make a robotic chariot for you I suppose
<DeathStar> *she muses*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "No, you are now banned from robotic projects."
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Fine fine. *She takes the head and tosses it into the waste*
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Well, usually after club meeting, we'd have a moment of reflection, so. I got food prepared.
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Does anyone want it?
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmm... let's go and eat then."
<Seraphna> Jaime> Yes. Food.
<DeathStar> <Adeline> That sounds great
<Seraphna> **Jaime wraps a bit around Adeline**
<Seraphna> Kaelan> I dunno why, but Noire killing a bear robot got me hungry.
<Jackieness> <Noire> "I don't know about ursine flesh, but perhaps Korean barbecue."
<DeathStar> *Taiga nods as they return to the club room and Taiga's little robot servants run around, no bigger than little 4 feet, zoom around with trays of food and serving plate and talking to the group* "Here you go." "Please enjoy". "Eat up." "Enjoy mistress"
<Seraphna> **Kaelan peers over Noire for some reason**
<DeathStar> <Adeline> ... oh look . More robotic life.
<DeathStar> *Taiga coos at her creations as she sits down to eat her snacks and relax*
<Seraphna> Jaime> I'd imagine your... bio-mom has robots too.
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmm...what?"
