<SuperDS> <Ren> *begins to list some of her favorite foods to snack on when around the team*

<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmm...I'm not quite as technically adept as you are, so I don't really have the same sort of 'projects'."

<Jackieness> <Noire> "The trick is gathering intel without triggering an escalation."

<SuperDS> <Ren> I'll submit the Kao mission to mom soon and we'll begin with the safer ones and work our ways up

<SuperDS> <Ren> Maybe - I believe Kaori might have transformed the reality into it when she got her powers
<Jackieness> <Noire> "...so she is the source of the Oddness?"

<SuperDS> <Ren> There's one where she is a normal Nue fox. And many more where she is not around. She is an entity that is lower in the realities than many

<SuperDS> <Ren> I think due to how Kaori was born - from Centerpoint using Miyuki's DNA.
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmm...I see."

<SuperDS> <Ren> So. I wonder if we should count how many counter parts we have and see how unique we are or how famous we are in the multiverse
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Why do you want to do that?"
<SuperDS> <Ren> Using mom's systems, count how many Noire's pop up in the various Realities and Oddvereses and how many Ren's
<SuperDS> <Ren> I imagine you and I so far are among those that pop up a lot
<Jackieness> <Noire> "I consider myself a singular force in any reality."

<Seraphna> **Jaime pops in** I heard fun was happening.
<DeathStar> <Ren> Getting ready for the Kaori stuff.
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Ah yes... your Kaori intelligence gathering."
<DeathStar> <Ren> Gotta catch them all. *she waves at Jaime as she adjusts her Striker uniform*
<Seraphna> **Jaime nods and gets hers on**
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Well...what can you tell me about this first reality?" *goes to change as well*
<DeathStar> <Ren> A reality where Kaori runs an arcade. So an Oddverse. Figured it'd be good to start safe. I haven't been able to talk to Kaori to recall everything about how she got her powers. You remember Jaime?
<Seraphna> Jaime> She's basically the kid of the entity that came from Centerpoint.
<DeathStar> <Ren> Right, is that when she got her reality powers?
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmm, yes. You mentioned that before." *steps out, shifting her striker uniform to her typical academy uniform*
<Seraphna> Jaime> I think they kinda came with her creation.
<DeathStar> *Ren nods* Alright. I guess we need to figure out why sometimes she lacks her powers. Oddverses might just be "odd" but some in the main verses she lacks them too
<DeathStar> *Ren steps through the portal*
<Jackieness> <Noire> *goes through*
<Seraphna> **Jaime follows**
<Seraphna> **Si lays her head in Taiga's lap**
<DeathStar> *Taiga feeds Si stuff*
<DeathStar> *they arrive at the reality near the arcade where it looks like a massive old school arcade - whatever that means.*
<DeathStar> <Ren> Hm. Interesting
<DeathStar> <Ren> Are either of you gamers?
<Jackieness> <Noire> "So...we're here."
<DeathStar> *Ren walks slowly into the arcade where the cabinets seem to have been rebuilt using modern tech to repair old arcades from centuries ago*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "...mmmm..I am decent. Rei liked to game when we were still conjoined, and she wasn't a pop star."
<DeathStar> *the entire building seems to have a decent crowd with music and there's even a modern section of games and other things to do*
<DeathStar> <Ren> I'm here to mainly get scans and some samples of Kaori if we can find her
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Does she ownn this place or is she merely an employee?"
<DeathStar> <Ren> Own it
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Then if she is not on the floor, and assuming she is even on site at all, then she might be in soem back office."
<DeathStar> *As they walk along the floor, they find a crowd of people watching two people playing some game*
<Seraphna> Jaime> I play the occasional game. Hard not to with my family.
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "A lot of games can also hone skills."
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmm...perhaps she might be here where all the attention is."
<DeathStar> *As they move over they find Kaori challenging people to games - it seems to be an older model game that looks almost like a version of a fighting game and beating them. After beating the person she waits for a new challenger to appear. Ren begins her scans trying not to be noticed*
<Seraphna> **Jaime walks over to play her**
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmm...so is she arcade owner some sort of pro-gamer too?"
<DeathStar> <Ren> I didn't find anything with my brief sweep
<DeathStar> *Kaori glances at Jaime, squinting, then shrugs, picking a bulky robot character to fight Jaime*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "So what is the next step?"
<Seraphna> **Jaime picks a fast type**
<DeathStar> <Ren> I'm getting her data. It looks like she never had reality powers.
<DeathStar> <Ren> It'll be a nice baseline for other realities if this also is the case there.
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Perhaps we should investigate her parentage in this reality."
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "I think so too."
<DeathStar> *this Kaori begins to work Jaime, apparently using her power type to tank damage if not to get Jaime into a corner when possible and juggle her in an instant, almost unfairly*
<DeathStar> *Ren begins to do research* Lets see, the arcade was left to her it looks like by a Nue. Lets see if she is related
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmm...Jaime is getting her ass kicked."
<Seraphna> **Jaime muses then her eyes unfocus and she starts playing reacting so quickly she must be seeing what’s coming before it happens**
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "Interesting..."
<DeathStar> *Kaori blinks, then leans forward, looking like she is being caught off as she loses the second round*
<DeathStar> <Ren> It looks like she is related to some Nues that are not Kitsune. *she looks up as this Kaori fights more cautiously, but just as determined to get Jaime into a juggle and end her*
<Alicia> * Charlotte watches the fight, analysing both fighters styles
<Jackieness> <Noire> "MMmmm...I'd say they are probably both cheating."
<Seraphna> **Jaime seems to have selected a fast fighter because it lets her dodge and react faster while using future sight**
<DeathStar> *Kaori stares a bit, her crowd of watchers murmuring. After a bit, Kaori rises and turns to everyone* Well, she wins the prize. *She stuffs her hand into pockets, wearing baggy clothes and nods to Jaime and walks toward the back silently*
<DeathStar> *The crowd dispersing slowly, going to find something to do*
<Seraphna> **Jaime blinks** Prize?
<DeathStar> *Jaime finds an old arcade machine that looks like to be a fighting machine - Kaori motions* Yours. You can work out how you get it out. *She leaves to go*
<Jackieness> <Noire> *facepalms*
<DeathStar> <Ren> ... hoo boy
<DeathStar> *she eyes Charlotte*
<DeathStar> <Ren> I guess we're stopping back at the base
<Seraphna> **Jaime muses** Hey wait. You were pretty amazing.
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "Yeah, I figured it out."
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Are we seriously going to take this with us?"
<DeathStar> *Kaori looks bck* Yeah, I know. I'll figure out how you played the way you did later.
<DeathStar> <Ren> I mean. It'd look weird if Jaime just took her on and didn't take it
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Jaime wans't even playing for a rpize."
<Seraphna> Jaime> Yeah... do you want this? I was just playing to win, didn't realize there was a prize involved.
<DeathStar> <Kaori> *Raises an eyebrow, sticking some candy in her mouth* So you don't want it?
<DeathStar> *Ren begins to prepare the next jump*
<DeathStar> <Ren> Well since we're not taking it, you ready?
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Hold on...let's see how this plays out."
<DeathStar> <Ren> Fair enough. *She keeps her hand on the device*
<Alicia> * Charlotte waits, watching
<Seraphna> Jaime> Nah, I'd rather someone who really wants it have it.
<DeathStar> *Kaori chews a bit* Alright. *She studies her, then turns and heads off to an office area*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmm...rather anticlimatic."
<Seraphna> Jaime> Mmm, good to not make an unneeded rival.
<DeathStar> <Ren> Probably she's reviewing footage of the fight
<DeathStar> <Ren> Trying to track how you countered her
<DeathStar> *Ren opens a portal and steps in*
<Seraphna> **Jaime smiles and steps through**
<Jackieness> <Noire> "...so...was she actually tha good, JAime, or just using hacks?" *steps through*
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "I expect she was legitimate."
<DeathStar> *they arrive on Earth*
<DeathStar> *where things feel quite like their's* <Ren> Alright her Kaori doesn't have her power and never brought the stuff over
<DeathStar> <Ren> So no Geyze and stuff - the tree is here though
<Jackieness> <Noire> "That seems odd."
<DeathStar> <Ren> Well I guess I shouldn't say "the tree"
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmm..branch then?"
<DeathStar> <Ren> Right. Same deal like that one reality with that Erevis. Where it will manifest if this was the core reality
<Seraphna> Jaime> I'm not sure but I had to look into the future to react in time.
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "Wonder how Geyze is doing."
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Ren, was there a Geyze in Kumen in the other Erevis' reality?"
<DeathStar> <Ren> Yes. The fact this place lacks one leads me to only a few guesses.
<Seraphna> Jaime> Well....
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "Lets hear them."
<DeathStar> <Ren> The fact that neither planet is here is the fact... well. Remember the two realities were at odds with balance
<DeathStar> <Ren> They were destroying each other's place
<Seraphna> Jaime> It's quite possible that Kaori, being from Centerpoint, is as influential to the tree and the branches as much as the roots.
<DeathStar> <Ren> We cheated that with a ton of reality power
<DeathStar> <Ren> Which Kaori houses now
<DeathStar> <Ren> It's why Wind I think hangs around her - training her
<Jackieness> <Noire> "We should explore that when we get back."
<DeathStar> <Ren> It's also why I think I'd like to see if I can find more of her, to deal with the threat (in 575 since this session takes place afterward, since 575 got pushed back)
<DeathStar> <Ren> I just imagine they lack such a thing as reality. I hope
<DeathStar> <Ren> Or at least keep Kaoris are away from them
<Seraphna> **Jaime frowns** I think I should talk to Uncle Wind about what he knows.
<DeathStar> *as the group walks along, they find a run down food joint*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Don't tell me this is where this Kaori is found."
<DeathStar> <Ren> Here's this reality's Kaori - she works part time and kind of fell away from our team after being with them for a time. I don't know what made her quit. Prelim scan kind of failed that
<DeathStar> <Ren> But she definitely was part of the team for a time. Even without powers
<Seraphna> Jaime> Maybe her Senpai was mean.
<DeathStar> <Ren> I would never
<Jackieness> <Noire> "This..." *gestures at the place* "...seems like a severe downgrade."
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "Maybe she just felt useless."
<DeathStar> *Ren frowns at that as they step inside. Kaori is inside, munching on some food subtly, while sitting behind the counter, the foot menu above her head*
<DeathStar> *there seems to be seats to sit after getting your menu, an old lady sitting drinking her coffee in one booth*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmm...can't we just wait until she is off duty or something?"
<DeathStar> <Ren> Sure. It shouldn't be that much longer. Should we go to another reality for a bit?
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmm...we could, though we could also explore this reality a bit as well. Try to gatehr information on this Kaori before we confront her."
<DeathStar> *Ren scans her for a bit to get some information as someone comes in to order something; they seem to be teenagers and while making fun of Kaori, they pull her hat off and reveal her ears*
<Seraphna> **Jaime eyes the menu**
<DeathStar> *it seems to be a standard menu*
<Seraphna> **Jaime ties one of the kids shoelaces together with TK**
<DeathStar> <Ren> Sure lets do that. Come on. HEr place shouldn't be too far from here. *the kid turns to go and trips*
<DeathStar> *milkshake in face*
<Jackieness> <Noire> *looks at Jaime* "...nice." *walks out*
<Seraphna> **Jaime nods and moves out**
<DeathStar> *Ren leads them to a place further away and to an apartment* Can one of you get us past the locked door?
<Seraphna> **Jaime vanishes, then opens the door from the inside**
<DeathStar> *Ren takes notes* I imagine the difference so far - the few Kaoris that do exist have their power naturally so we need to find out why a few do not. And then I'll work with mom off the scenes on if it's feasible to make alliances with them, ...and what percentage are evil. Got to check that out
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "Definitely." *thinks*
<DeathStar> *As she steps in, it looks like there's stuffies, games, etc all about the places, a picture of someone faced down, some stuff that shows she used to be in the EarthGov military before she quit*
<Seraphna> **Jaime floats the picture up curiously**
<DeathStar> *it seems to be Hess*
<Seraphna> Jaime> Guessing her exit involved Hess then.
<DeathStar> <Ren> Her and Hess were a thing for a long time
<Seraphna> Jaime> Aren't they still dating in our reality?
<DeathStar> <Ren> Maybe before she learned about her past. Or it stunted her abilities
<DeathStar> *Ren digs around and pulls out some datapad data* Here
<DeathStar> <Ren> Anyone good at speed reading?
<Alicia> <Charlotte> *looks it over*
<DeathStar> *it seems to show about time when she left the EarthGov - before time when their Kaori encountered the Centerpoint entity due to Hess dying. This left to her soon dropping out*
<DeathStar> <Ren> I'll try to use their Ren's access to get more information. But if I had to guess, things played out more darkly in this world.
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "... yeah, it involved Hess. Don't bring it up around her, though."
<DeathStar> <Ren> Did Kaori demonstrate powers before the Centerpoint entity?
<DeathStar> <Ren> No, she must not have. So we have to assume any Kaori without power never met it. Or something along those lines.
<Seraphna> Jaime> Hmm....
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Any chance that Centerpoint never re-manifested in these realities?"
<Alicia> * Charlotte checks
<DeathStar> <Ren> Also a possibility.
<DeathStar> *there seems to be no data on it in their reports*
<DeathStar> *like it was never found*
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "Nothing on it... so probably not."
<DeathStar> <Ren> I'll try to in the realities with her try to run cross checks.
<DeathStar> *As the group talks, there's suddenly the sound of a key in the door outside*
<DeathStar> *And someone huffing as if waiting to get inside after an annoying day*
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "Everyone out, secretly."
<DeathStar> *Ren creeps slowly toward a window*
<Seraphna> **Jaime grabs then and teleports out**
<Jackieness> <Noire> *moves for a window to climb out*
<DeathStar> *they end up in the alley, barely avoiding a trashcan*
<DeathStar> *Kaori looks around, ears twitching, then steps inside; soon games can be heard*
<DeathStar> <Ren> Alright then. Lets head back for now. I'll cross check what we know and give it to mom
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Did she just ragequit from work? This seems an off hour for end of her shift."
<DeathStar> <Ren> It looks like it.
<DeathStar> <Ren> I think I might have spied some food on her outfit
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "... I was just wondering what happened, but I think I know. Brats."
<DeathStar> *Ren begins to plug in the way home* You want to hunt them down and make them pay?
<Jackieness> <Noire> "No, stay on task."
<Seraphna> Jaime> I want to.
<DeathStar> <Ren> Alright, I'll take us back and plug in what we know to mom. Then later on we can maybe visit a powered Kaori. Here, before we go. I'll show you one. *she opens a portal*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Revenge doesn't help this Kaori." *looks at the new portal*
<DeathStar> *as they arrive, this reality seems to have had reality tinkering, much like Cheryl used to do. They seem to be on Geyze and the PAX is over it, fully fuctional*
<DeathStar> <Ren> A reality power was used to repair the PAX. Kaori in this reality has been drained to do it
<Seraphna> Jaime> I like this reality so far.
<DeathStar> <Ren> We'll see if her power is needed for something better. But that's an example of a Kaori using her power to do things on a massive scale
<DeathStar> <Taiga on comms> For example if down the road, their Kaori can't stop Pirates from stealing that PAX
<DeathStar> <Taiga on comms> Due to being drained
<Jackieness> <Noire> "You said drained...does that mean she is pwoerless now?"
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "And if so, is it permanent?"
<DeathStar> <Ren> Her reality power drops if she does massive feats, like pulling Geyze and Kumen here
<DeathStar> <Ren> It takes time to recharge bsck
<DeathStar> <Ren> It could take months to years
<DeathStar> <Ren> I'd have to talk to someone but I'd say 5% to 10% for this
<DeathStar> <Ren> Maybe more
<DeathStar> <Taiga on comms> She has been training with Wind to make it so she doesn't drain as fast I think
<Seraphna> **Jaime fumes a little**
<DeathStar> <Ren> Yes?
<Jackieness> <Noire> "What has you cross, Jaime?"
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "Jealous?"
<DeathStar> <Taiga on comms> Maybe we should talk to Wind and give her powers
<DeathStar> <Taiga on comms> Lets get you home
<DeathStar> *she opens the return home portal*
<DeathStar> *Ren steps onto Asteroid C where Taiga is loading the information in*
<DeathStar> <Taiga> You know, before Kaori more than one person did hold the power of reality. I would not be shocked if Wind has it too
<Seraphna> Jaime> Anyone stealing my PAX makes me angry.
<DeathStar> <ren> All realities PAXes are yours?
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "Your PAX?"
<Seraphna> Jaime> **tilts her head** Should they not be?
<DeathStar> <Taiga and Ren> ....
<Alicia> <Charlotte> "...anyway..."
<Seraphna> Jaime> If there is a Jaime then it is our right. **she nods**
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Yes...we'll let Taiga review the findings, then we'll plan our next mission."
<DeathStar> <Taiga> For now we should focus on other things - we've been doing this dance with the Reality Pirates and the face off with them was indirect so hopefully we will have more time still. Take it easy every tone
<DeathStar> *Ren takes Charlotte and moves off*
