<DeathStar> *Yuki holds out a large note to Bella while Cloé tilts her head*
<Seraphna> **Nox peeks out of the shadows she’s totally not hiding Mire in**
<Jackieness> <Bella> *takes the note and looks at it*
<DeathStar> <Yuki> Nox, you go as well. You could use some time off this ship
<DeathStar> *it seems to be addressed to Taiga*
<Seraphna> Nox> Awww, I guess. I like it here though. It’s the best ship ever.

<DeathStar> <Cloé> I'll go dial up the teleporter
<DeathStar> *She moves off to do so*
<Jackieness> <Bella> "Alright, team. Let's go." *heds to the teleporter*
<Alicia> <Akatsuki> "I want to try the local food."
<Alicia> * Akatsuki goes anyway though
<DeathStar> *Cloé gets the teleporter running and steps through with everyone onto the PAX*
<Seraphna> **Nox moves with them, yawning a bit**

<DeathStar> *Ao takes the supply list; all the while, she's giving Akatsuki odd looks. especially after the Taiga comment* Yeah I can do that.

<Seraphna> Nox> Hmmm.
<Jackieness> <Bella> "Uh-huh..."
<DeathStar> <Ao> Why do you really need to see her?

<Alicia> <Akatsuki> "No, really, we were sent for supplies. I wanted to try the local food."

<DeathStar> <Ao> Along with everyone else that was part of her little uh, club. So you might as well hand me that note.

<Jackieness> <Bella> "Where was she last seen?"
<Alicia> <Akatsuki> "WHAAAAAT?!"
<DeathStar> <Ao> *leansover and writes a location on the PAX*
<DeathStar> <Ao> You can try there if you really want to find her
<DeathStar> *Cloé eyes it and hurries off*
<Seraphna> Nox> …Why would you not really be trying to find one of the chief scientists on the Serpent effort?
<Jackieness> <Bella> "Thanks." *heads off to the location*
<DeathStar> <Ao> You think we aren't trying to locate them? We're hoping it's one of their club things
<DeathStar> *those who have left, arrive before the Fumoffu Club room, where someone seems to be inside it already*
<DeathStar> *Cloé slows down, suspicious, ears twitching*
<Alicia> <Akatsuki> "I can make foxholes."
<Seraphna> **Nox shrugs and hops to Cloe’s shadow**
<Chaintan> 6*Hess peers out at the mention of foxholes and looks at the sudden arrival of Cloe and co.
<Chaintan> <Hess> wanna run that by me again?
<DeathStar> *pressing to try to peek in slowly; the room itself has tons of things in it from a bygone era from both Taiga's leadership and Ren's. Taiga's club activities and Ren's ghost activities are all about the club, including old arcades*
<DeathStar> <Cloé> ... *blinks* It's her?
<Jackieness> <Bella> "...well...that didn't go to plan."
<Alicia> <Akatsuki> "I... can make foxholes? I am a Dark Kitsune, after all."
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "We are searching for missing club members."
<Seraphna> Nox> Better not include my Mom.
<DeathStar> *Cloé hurries on in*
<Alicia> * Akatsuki and Jikuu head in
<Chaintan> <Hess> well they arent here, if that wasnt plainly obvious.
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "So, Hess... what has happened? Do you know?"
<Chaintan> 6*Hess gestures around her
<DeathStar> <Cloé> Are you a ghost?
<DeathStar> *she pokes her*
<Jackieness> <Bella> *looks around the club room*
<Chaintan> <Hess> No 6 *she swats Cloe's hand lightly1 and no Im not a ghost
<DeathStar> *Taiga, or is it Ren's, who can tell, their podium is in the center and off to the side a messy desk with tons of stories - both practical stuff from the Strikers and ghost stories. Nope, looks like they are sharing it*
<DeathStar> <Cloé> Is there clues to what happened to them?
<Alicia> <Akatsuki> "According to Ao, my family just... vanished?"
<Jackieness> <Bella> "Maybe they went on an adventure."
<DeathStar> *she looks around, then goes through the desk*
<Seraphna> Nox> Where though?
<Alicia> * Akatsuki and Jikuu go through the stories
<Chaintan> <Hess> I didnt see anything but I might just be blind at this point so, feel free to look
<Chaintan> 6*Hess moves aside so they can all move about more freely and sits down on one of the many sofas in the club room
<Jackieness> <Bella> *looks around at the boards on the wall*
<Chaintan> <Hess> Originally we were going to have a meet up at Mine and Kaori's but when no one showed up I thought maybe they misunderstood and went here to meet.
<Alicia> <Akatsuki> "The first mission of the new Fumoffu club is to find my missing family." *keeps looking*
<DeathStar> *going through everything, after a bit of organizing, it looks like the Strikers stuff is just reports from Asteroid C and likely has nothing to do with the case, unless Taiga took them there; in which case they would easily be tracked. However, the ghost stories of Ren's had 3 cases that stand out a bit. One of them is a Japanese folk story about people vanishing on a street at night from something near a rice field, the other is somthing to do with a meth elephant - this one was crumbled up, and the last one seems to be about a doll house*
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "Hmm... Rice field or doll house..."
<Alicia> <Akatsuki> "The people vanishing one is a bit on the nose..."
<Jackieness> <Bella> "So what's the details on that stuff?"

<DeathStar> <Cloé> That's all Ren had down
<DeathStar> <Cloé> Along with messy HoloNet type coordinates.
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "Worth checking."
<Jackieness> <Bella> "HoloNet type coordinates?"
<DeathStar> *Cloé tries typing the coordinates in and brings them up on her datapad*
<DeathStar> *and a real life Japanese road comes up, somewhere in Japan's rural area* Here.
<DeathStar> *She zooms in*
<DeathStar> <Cloé> I could leave a drone there
<Seraphna> Nox> I am pure darkness and this is creeping me out.
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "I will not lose again."
<Jackieness> <Bella> "So that's the rice fields bit. Anything else on this area?"
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "You do not need to come if you do not wish to."
<Alicia> * Akatsuki looks up everything she can on the area
<Chaintan> <Hess> now hold on a sec, its not going to be worth while unless theres a place for the possible spector or very real kidnapper sort to ambush. See if theres like, some old stalls or rest stops in either direction
<DeathStar> *Cloé attempts scan the area* Um, yes. There is something. A broken down bus stop of sorts.
<Chaintan> <Hess> some versions of the story mention running into a traveler or a ramen cart vender, things like that
<Chaintan> <Hess> nothing else?
<Jackieness> <Bella> "Ramen cart vendor...huh?" *Looks at Akatsuki*
<Chaintan> 6*Hess shrugs at Bella
<DeathStar> <Cloé> Nothing that I'm picking up on scans. *Akatsuki's research picks up that an old town used to flourish there, but by now the weeds have over taken over; it was quite famous centuries ago for it's food*
<Chaintan> <Hess> like i said, its in some versions, other times its just a vendor or some other kind of shipping deal
<DeathStar> <Cloé> There might be another structure there. The satelite view is giving me dificulity
<DeathStar> *She looks frustrated*
<Alicia> <Akatsuki> "If only the food was still available..."
<Jackieness> <Bella> "...yeah...I know someone's mother who would be interested in soem food history."
<Chaintan> <Hess> if nothing else, we can see what the line the bus stop ran. Maybe its a phantom situation
<DeathStar> <Cloé> Everything is overgrown now
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "We probably should not eat the food unless we know it is safe. I heard bad things about ghost foood."
<DeathStar> *Cloé brings up data on the bus line* It looks like long ago it was one of those it traveled a pretty far distance, but only once a day
<Chaintan> <Hess> really? Ghost food tends to just be, well a mirage...its witch food thats a real pain
<DeathStar> <Cloé> *looks up* Are we sure this is the one they did? Not the scary dolls?
<Chaintan> <Hess> we dont know, so whats the info on the doll situation
<Alicia> * Akatsuki checks
<Jackieness> <Bella> "Yeah, bring up the doll house."
<Seraphna> Nox> I know a living doll.
<DeathStar> *The doll house is a location just recently rediscovered somehow, surprisingly only a few hundred miles from the other haunted site. It's full of Japanese dolls and the rumor is if one takes one of them from the doll house, it will curse your home and eventually the one who takes it will die; and the doll returns back to the dollhouse. Thus, people avoid the dollhouse*
<DeathStar> *examination of the dollhouse by experts' claim that they feel as if they are being watched*
<Alicia> <Akatsuki> "So, we could check both. Obviously, don't take dolls."
<DeathStar> <Hess> If we check out both, we will need tools for the dolls; clearly there's a powerful curse there.
<Jackieness> <Bella> "...well...the doll house story doesnt imply anything about disappearances."
<DeathStar> <Hess> Bella is right
<DeathStar> <Cloé> So we want to focus on the road one
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "We do."
<DeathStar> <Hess> We'll still need some tools before we go
<Jackieness> <Bella> "We are going to need a ride. Should probbaly report in to Yuki about what's happening too."
<DeathStar> <Cloé> I'll let her know.
<DeathStar> *She moves into the hallway*
<Alicia> <Akatsuki> "We can't use the aircraft?"
<Seraphna> Nox> Well it’s in Japan so it is near Elder Andrea’s power center.
<DeathStar> <Hess> If you know where it's at, lead the way
<Seraphna> Nox> I might be able to take us.

<Alicia> * Akatsuki leads the way to the Fumoplane#
<Seraphna> Nox> They have a plane?
<DeathStar> *It looks like Ren and company took the main shuttle*
<DeathStar> *But the secondary shuttle is indeed there*
<DeathStar> *so no bells and whisles*
<Jackieness> <Bella> "They ahev two, looks like."
<Seraphna> Nox> This is a shuttle with the word plane written on the side in red ink.
<Alicia> <Akatsuki> "Good enough for me, lets go!"
<Jackieness> <Bella> "...why?"
<Seraphna> Nox> This smells of a Si’Chii invention.
<DeathStar> *As they prepare to go, they would notice in the back a van in the back*
<DeathStar> *a secondary van*
<Seraphna> Nox> This one says van on the side.
<Alicia> <Akatsuki> "....why?"
<DeathStar> <Cloé> So people don't steal it?

<DeathStar> Location: Earth
<DeathStar> *The group flies in over Japan and park their shuttle. *Cloé picks a spot in the back of the van*
<Jackieness> <Bella> "I'm driving." *climbs into the driver's seat*
<DeathStar> *the datapad with the location of the road has been taped to the dashboard for Bella while Hess takes shotgun*
<Jackieness> <Bella> "Buckle up." *takes them on to the road once everyone is in*
<Seraphna> Nox> I don’t get why mortals don’t just warp everywhere.
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "Already am."
<Alicia> <Akatsuki> "Most of them can't."
<Seraphna> Nox> Sounds terrible.
<DeathStar> <Cloé> You miss out on sights when you do that
<DeathStar> *They drive past the setting sun and strange little critters eyeing them*
<Alicia> <Akatsuki> "Also, you need a destination to do that."
<Chaintan> 6*Hess makes note of the critters
<Seraphna> Nox> I just peek in shadows to find what I want.
<DeathStar> *They soon arrive at the road, where the air changes; despite it looking run down, it feels wrong*
<Alicia> <Akatsuki> "You check every single shadow? Impressive."
<DeathStar> <Cloé> Should we get out? *the run down town is further down to the right and to the left is the remains of the bus stop*
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "The air is different here."
<Jackieness> <Bella> "Yo... this play feels weird."
<Chaintan> <Hess> we might not really have much choice BUT to go out
<Seraphna> Nox> Well it’s hard to explain, I can see and sense from all the shadows about me most of the time.
<Jackieness> <Bella> *looks for a place to park the van off the main road*
<DeathStar> *Bella finds a nice spot near the crittrs staring at them*
<Chaintan> <Hess> any of you really good with animals?
<DeathStar> *Cloé nods, being a catgirl*
<Alicia> <Akatsuki> "Okay then, lets go hunting for clues."
<Jackieness> <Bella> *park the van* "Alright, so we need a plan now."
<Seraphna> Nox> Here’s my plan. Bella makes the plan.
<Chaintan> <Hess> well, Cloe, maybe the critters saw something, know something or are tied to it so, we probably should start there while Bella comes up with our marching orders
<Jackieness> <Bella> "First off, no splitting up. You always get picked off one by one when you split up."
<DeathStar> *Cloé gets out and oddly seems to sit face to face with them*
<Chaintan> 6*Hess shadows Cloe so nothing gets out of hand
<Jackieness> <Bella> "After Cloe finishes talakign to the local wildlife, we'll chekc out the bus stop."
<DeathStar> <Cloé> They said we should follow them. They have somthing to show us.
<DeathStar> *Cloé hops off the shuttle onto the ground*

<Chaintan> <Hess> while I appreciate their willingness to help, we cant just _go_ with them blindly, can they tell us why we should follow?
<Jackieness> <Bella> "Alright, team. Follow Cloe, stick together." *climbs out and locks up the van once eveyrone else is out*
<Alicia> * Akatsuki and Jikuu follow, sticking close together, which surprises no-one
<DeathStar> *Cloé thinks*
<DeathStar> <Cloé> They said they saw somthing that looks like that. *points* Very close by. .... Which is odd since our sensors didn't pick up anything
<DeathStar> *she points at the van*
<Chaintan> 6*Hess looks to Bella on the go ahead
<Jackieness> <Bella> "Could be van one. Come on. Nox, if we get in a pinch, emergency teleport."
<DeathStar> *the group walks through some overgrowth, which slowly begins to vanish, looking more like developed land, fading away; soon they arrive at the decked out first van, parked at the side of the road, which looks much more well maintained compared to a few minutes ago*
<Jackieness> <Bella> *looks at the others* "Time anomaly?"
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "Hmm... that or an alternate reality."
<Jackieness> <Bella> "Let's chekc the van for clues."
<DeathStar> *Cloé tries the door but finds it locked*
<DeathStar> <Cloé> Break?
<Chaintan> <Hess> let me try something
<Alicia> * Akatsuki tries to foxhole inside
<Chaintan> 6*Hess attempts [BAD LUCK] on the car lock
<DeathStar> *Akatsuki bounces inside on Taiga's cushion while Cloé opens it due to bad luck*

<DeathStar> *Akatsuki also discovers spare keys in the cushion*
<Jackieness> <Bella> "Alright, let's look for clues."
<Alicia> <Akatsuki> "So, I found keys!" *picks them up*
<DeathStar> <Cloé> More vans!
<DeathStar> *Cloé climbs in and opens stuff; a map falls out and she hands it to Bella and Hess*
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "Why did they not take the map?"
<DeathStar> *it looks to be drawn by Ren - a drawing of the road with a figure holding something at the top with question marks along with food? and a detailed map with food and at the bottom of the map death*
<DeathStar> <Cloé> Back up map?
<Jackieness> <Bella> "...Akatsuki... come here."
<Alicia> * AKatsuki does
<Jackieness> <Bella> *holds out the map to her* "Translate this from the language of your people, please."
<Alicia> <Akatsuki> "...oh, mom..." *translates, though she isn't sure what exactly 'food' or 'death' are on the map*
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "... cake or death?"
<Chaintan> <Hess> sounds like something she'd write...
<Alicia> <Akatsuki> "So... the food is deadly, it seems?"
<Jackieness> <Bella> "MAybe it means food in these directions, danger in that direction."
<DeathStar> <Cloé> We should find her and ask her
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "Do not eat ghost food. Or creepy peddler food either." *pauses* "Is she okay?"
<DeathStar> <Cloé> Instead of being confused
<Alicia> <Akatsuki> "She seems to think the peddler offers the deadly food at the bus stop, so we should head back that way... unless someone has ideas where to find people."
<Chaintan> <Hess> well if the scent is still pretty fresh, couldnt Cloe track?
<Jackieness> <Bella> "Yeah, Cloe, cna you sense them around?"
<DeathStar> *Cloé takes a deep scent of the van* .. Hm. Sure. One moment
<DeathStar> *She leaps from the van*
<DeathStar> *And heads down the road*
<Jackieness> <Bella> *follows after Cloe*
<Chaintan> 6*Hess follows after
<DeathStar> *As they walk down the road toward the town, a figure can be seen approaching them*
<DeathStar> *it looks like a peddler with a cart*
<Alicia> * Akatsuki stays out of sight, in fox form
<Jackieness> <Bella> "...on your guard, team."
<DeathStar> *Cloé tenses as the man, wearing a hat that covers his face in shadows, wearing something out of old Japan as well, walks along, trudging. He begins to pass them*
<Chaintan> <Hess> hey wait a second
<Jackieness> <Bella> "What?"
<Chaintan> 6*Hess marches to the vendor
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "You have not seen any other travellers recently, have you?"
<Jackieness> <Bella> *shrugs and follows HEss*
<Chaintan> <Hess> also whose gonna walk this length of road when even a bus only would come by once a day
<DeathStar> *the vendor stops as they are addressed*
<DeathStar> <Vendor> I am a simple... sellsman. I come to greet those who come off the bus. Would you like some of my wares?
<Chaintan> <Hess> yeah pardon us Mister? Ma'am? NB you got a second
<DeathStar> *Cloé sniffs the air and makes a face*
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "Ah. When was the last bus?"
<Jackieness> <Bella> "...what is it?"
<DeathStar> <Vendor> Ah, I am sure it is just about to arrive, child.
<DeathStar> <Cloé> Just thought I smelt something bad
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "That was not what I asked."
<Jackieness> <Bella> "...you probably did..."
<DeathStar> *The Vendor reaches into their cart and holds out something to Jikuu*
<Alicia> * Jikuu examines it
<Chaintan> 6*Hess uses the chance, and tries to lift the vendor's hat
<DeathStar> *it appears to be one of their favorite basic Japanese foods; as Hess does that, at first it would appear to be a normal man's face, but the night's sky hits more of his face, it appears to look a rotten corpse for a second. The man turns to look at Hess*
<DeathStar> *his eyes, if there were any there, appear to look hard at her*
<Chaintan> <Hess> undead huh, did you encounter our friends or no
<Alicia> * Jikuu places the presumably-food back on the tray or wherever it came from. "I am not hungry right now."
<DeathStar> *As Jikuu goes to readd it, the light hits the food as well, and she would see it's body parts of unlikely travelers*
<DeathStar> <Vendor> *Reaches into his cart, wielding a clever* Food. *is his response*
<Jackieness> <Bella> *slowly slips into a ready stance*
<Chaintan> <Hess> salt, van please
<Chaintan> 6*Hess attempts an open palm strike
<DeathStar> <Cloé> Nox! Do your thing
<Alicia> * Jikuu drops the body part and punches the vendor
<DeathStar> *The Vendor is hit by both, making an undead grunting sound, then tries to swipe at arms and legs*
<Chaintan> 6*Hess bounces back
<DeathStar> *Cloé flip kicks off of him and just runs for the van since Nox is out of it*
<Jackieness> <Bella> *draws a throwing blade and tosses it at the hand with the cleaver*
<DeathStar> *The Vendor stumbles and drops the clever; it staggardly reaches down with it's other hand*
<Alicia> * Akatsuki grabs at the cleaver, turning back into human form and threatening the vendor with it
<DeathStar> *The Vendor, seeing it's clever taken by another, seems very unhappy*
<DeathStar> *Cloé rushes back, out of breath, with the salt, holding it out as the Vendor begins to freak out*
<Jackieness> <Bella> "Going to give up, or are ya thirsty for more?"
<Chaintan> <Hess> now, gonna give you one more time, where are the people we are looking for or your cleaver is getting seasoned
<DeathStar> <Vendor> We did meet; there were many. One seemed to have the same blood as you. *he speaks to Hess* After they used their abilities on me to try to send me away, they seemed to decide they could not stop me and went to the town.
<DeathStar> *The clever suddenly appears in Vendor's hand and it begins to tidy up, preparing to walk onward toward the bus stop*
<Jackieness> <Bella> "So he just resets..."
<Chaintan> <Hess> just to play it safe...Cloe hand me that salt
<DeathStar> *Cloé does so*
<Alicia> * Akatsuki is about to throw the cleaver to the Vendor when that happens, blinks, and just shrugs.
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "So, we got our information."
<Chaintan> 6*Hess hurries after the vendor to circle him in salt
<DeathStar> <Cloé> But we have to do something. Those were people in that cart
<DeathStar> *The Vendor stops for now due to the salt*
<Chaintan> <Hess>YOU can sit tight for now, you can get let out AFTER we're done and your info is correct
<Jackieness> <Bella> "Good call."
<Chaintan> 6*Hess hurries back to the group
<Chaintan> <Hess> ok, town lets go
<Jackieness> <Bella> *strts walking to the town*
<Alicia> <Akatsuki> "Mom had better be okay..."
<DeathStar> *as they approach the town, the damnest thing happens - the Vendor can be seen starting it's walk from the town again. It is like as soon as they got far enough away, or enough time passes, it's walk restarts*
<DeathStar> *The town itself can be heard in a festival mood*
<Jackieness> <Bella> "Its like a loop."
<Seraphna> Nox> It’s like the life of an NPC.
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "Horrifying in a way."
<DeathStar> <Cloé> *Throws more salt out*
<DeathStar> <Cloé> Stay, sit!
<DeathStar> *As they enter the town, it seems to be a typical Japanese town* <Cloé> Where do we look for the others?
<Jackieness> <Bella> "Well, compare this to the map."
<DeathStar> *the map seems to indicate the others might be in a tavern nearby*
<DeathStar> *Well, a Japanese tavern*
<Jackieness> <Bella> "Ok, we'll chekc that place out first." *ponts tto said tavern*
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "I hope the town is not timelooped too."
<Chaintan> <Hess> if it is, theres possibility salt works on it, and also the moonlight
<DeathStar> *as they step inside, they find Taiga, Ren, Kaelan, X, and a few other. Bonnie seems to be there, drinking some sake, wearing a kimono, all of them looking enchanted*
<Jackieness> <Bella> "Ok... they have been captured."
<Seraphna> Nox> Momma…
<Alicia> <Jikuu> "What are you all doing?! We have been looking for you for ages!"
<Chaintan> <Hess> guess I'll test it...
<DeathStar> <Ren> Come join us. The sake is good.
<DeathStar> *Taiga pours some more sake for them*
<Chaintan> 6*Hess grabs a handful of salt and tosses it at Taiga's face
<DeathStar> *Taiga coughs and chokes*
<DeathStar> *falling over*
<Chaintan> <Hess> Pocket Salt!
<DeathStar> <Taiga> .. What... the... *She looks around*

<DeathStar> *As the group moves to bury him, the town slowly begins to revert back to normal, looking like a dead town once more, outside one building*

<Sara> <Kaori> Yeah, what's the deal with this place?
<Chaintan> <Hess> like a lot of towns and villages, all the younger generations move to the cities and they just didnt have enough of a population I guess?
<DeathStar> <Ren> Well, from what I could tell, this town prospered despite being in the rice fields and middle of nowhere, due to their food and travelers in the region; but that same middle of nowhere ended up killing the town eventually
<DeathStar> <Ren> So business dried up, people moved out for better lives, and the town became nothing
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmm...so I see." *starts walkingtoward the shack* "Come on then."
<DeathStar> <Taiga> You totally ate the ghost food
<Chaintan> <Hess> you did too
<DeathStar> *Taiga jerks*
<Sara> <Kaori> ... Wait, it was ghost food?

<DeathStar> *Cloé creeps toward the shack; as they near it, immense hatred comes from it*

<DeathStar> *as Jikuu enters, she's hit, as well as everyone else, a beggar turned bandit - the bandit was friends with the Vendor, maybe more so, having a bit of feeling of love, but due to his stealing and robbing the town due to them rejecting him when he was a beggar, the Vendor rejected him. This soon turned to a hostile feeling of hating him, the town, everyone, and one night when he was in the store room robbing the tavern, the Vendor came in to get his wares he killed him and then dressed up as the Vendor, to try to make a new life for himself*
