<Seraphna> **Kaelan lounges with Tsukiko nearby, feeding her a snack**
<Seraphna> **Si looks up from one of the arcade machines that didn’t get ruined**
<DeathStar> <Ren> True. Just with everything going on, this place felt .... you know, quiet and personal
<DeathStar> *she cranes her head back* And mom wanted a place to think
<DeathStar> <Ren> But if you think about it, with how empty the ship is, the entire PAX is like our club right now

<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmm... barring the signs of battle in some of the corridors."
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Thankfully, outside the massive hole on the bottom of the ship near the core, the PAX isn't in bad shape overall

<Jackieness> <Noire> "I presume you are our Taiga and not high plane Taiga. Whatever did they do with her, I wonder?"

<DeathStar> <Taiga> From there, who knows what Kitty did to her
<Seraphna> Si> We tied her up. I think Kitty is feeding her.

<DeathStar> <Ren> And no, I don't mean Kaori
<Seraphna> Kaelan> Did they ever get CHIP back online?
<DeathStar> *She brings out a drum set*
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Ah, CHIP. .... Adeline said something to the affect of "do we really want to?"

<DeathStar> *Ren leans back* Since we're all here, why don't we just relax some. *She pats the couch for Noire*

<Seraphna> Kaelan> I think I got numb to it growing up with the alternate version on the Iron Paw.
<DeathStar> *Ren muses, then digs around in her desk, looking for something*
<DeathStar> <Ren> If we're all here and have some down time..

<DeathStar> *Ren hands the documents over - it seems to belong to Zvikov Castle.*
<Seraphna> Kaelan> Castle sounds fun. How many wives can I bring? Not that I’ll listen to any limits.

<DeathStar> <Ren> Doesn't this sound much more fun than going with Wind!?

<DeathStar> *Ren runs off to get the shuttle ready. Andrea watches her go*

<DeathStar> *Ren comms them* Good news; I have a shuttle ready for us

<DeathStar> *Ren is at the shuttle, making a list* Lets see
<Jackieness> <Noire> *gets some things together and then heads to Ren's shuttle*
<DeathStar> *Taiga arrives, and has a seat in the back; Andrea is already spreading out and relaxing in two seats while Tsukiko primly sits*
<Jackieness> <Noire> *sits down*
<Seraphna> **Kaelan sits with Tsuki and Si sits on Taiga’s lap**
<DeathStar> <Ren> Okay then
<DeathStar> *Ren begins to take them out*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "...when this is all over, I'm getting a ship of my own..."
<DeathStar> <Ren> Can I ride on it?!
<DeathStar> *Ren hums, making calculations as they approach what looks to be an island; it is evening time as she begins to make landing preperations outside the forested island, since there's no room to land on the island itself.* <Taiga> A castle on an island?
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmmm...I suppose."
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Cliched
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Its common because a river on each side is a perfect natural defense."
<DeathStar> <Taiga> I suppose that's why it's cliched
<DeathStar> <Ren> We'll have to walk the rest of the way. *She prepares lockdown mode for the shuttle*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmmm...I suppose that would be more respecful than just portaling right inside."
<DeathStar> *Andrea pauses* You mean I can't?
<DeathStar> <Andrea> It would seriously save some time
<DeathStar> *Ren grabs some stuff of her's and Charlotte's if she came, then walks down the ramp; Taiga holds what looks to be an overnight bag. Tsukiko holds Kaelan*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Come on, mother." *disembarks*
<DeathStar> *Ren leads them from the village port and heads for the island*
<DeathStar> <Andrea> This is the part where they warn us not to go and that we'll die - but they need that tourist money
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Now *that* would be cliche."
<DeathStar> *A long pathway leads them out toward the castle, which has trees growing all over it. Along the path beside it, Paladin's religious icons are on the side, looking rusted, as if protecting against something*
<Seraphna> Kaelan> Mmm, I guess we’ll play along with this courtesy shtick.
<DeathStar> <Andrea> I wonder how ol Pope Pally is doing
<DeathStar> *she goes to poke the cross and it almost crumbles to dust*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mother, really?"
<DeathStar> <Andrea> I didn't think it would do THAT. *in the distance, howling of dogs can be heard in the woods*
<DeathStar> *Ren's ears twitch*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Don't overthink it."
<Seraphna> Kaelan> I mean… we’re Dark Ones. The werewolves either are afraid of us or secretly sleeping with our leader.
<DeathStar> *Andrea side eyes Kaelan*

<DeathStar> *as they arrive at the front door, they are greeted by a map of the place and where to find the keys to unlock the castle*

<DeathStar> *Taiga takes the map and hands it to Noire*
<Seraphna> Si> I wonder if we can find Turkey in the walls.
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Where are the tour guides? Or the security?" *looks at the map*
<DeathStar> <Ren> Uh, I might have uh, spent a bit of extra money to have the place to our selves for the night
<DeathStar> *Ren picks up the large keys and tries to figure out how to unlock the place*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Ren..."
<DeathStar> *Ren looks up* Yes? *She finally unlocks the door and opens it up*
<DeathStar> *thankfully the place is partially lit up*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmm... finally..." *walks in*
<Seraphna> **Kaelan stretches and steps in**
<Seraphna> **Si peers about**
<DeathStar> *The castle seems to have modern lighting here and there; with the map in Noire's hand, it looks like the main tower can be accessed up going upstairs*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "...this way..." *heads up the stairs*
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Right. *the map also lists where the boats are located if they want to go boat riding*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "This should be it." *pushes a door open*
<DeathStar> *as they enter, everyone's datapads die*
<DeathStar> *Taiga shakes her datapad* Hey hey hey!
<Seraphna> Kaelan> Is there a jammer too?
<DeathStar> *the beds look all nice to stay in and candles have been made up for them to light when it gets dark. Ren looks around* <Ren> You think it's a jammer, or a ghoooost?
<DeathStar> *Andrea gets on the bed* At least these are soft
<Seraphna> Kaelan> Jammer. Ghosts haven’t done this before.
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmmm...well...settle in then, everyone."
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Well where is the jammer that killed my datapad?!
<DeathStar> *Taiga peers around the room*
<DeathStar> <Ren> I hear this place, if we want to later, has a lot of murals and weapons and stuff
<DeathStar> <Ren> .. useless broken weapons
<Jackieness> <Noire> "If you insist on searching for this jammer, have fun. I am going to go for a walk."

<DeathStar> <Andrea> I will join
<DeathStar> *Ren follows Noire out since she has the map of the place*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Then let's be off." *heads back downstairs*
<DeathStar> <Andrea> Maybe you will find a rare item we can nick
<DeathStar> *Tsukiko remains in the tower*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "We're not here to steal, mother."
<Seraphna> **Kaelan drags her into a room to rest**
<Seraphna> **Si sticks with Taiga, as she does.**
<DeathStar> *As the others walk around, they would come across quite surprisingly pretty sights, though many of them pretain to the sights of the trees or the murals painted on the walls pretaining to the Christain faith. Ren tilts her head, not getting most of it. They come across old weapons and stuff on display*
<DeathStar> *after a bit Taiga joins them, slumped, having found no jammer*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmm...I'm surprised you found us so quickly, Taiga."
<DeathStar> <Taiga> This place is kind of big, but I have a way to find my daughter
<Jackieness> <Noire> "So far, its been a collection of antiquities, as one might expect."
<DeathStar> *Taiga studies it* So did religious people set up shop here? Was Crusaders here? I know little of that time period I'm afraid
<DeathStar> <Ren> A Crusader Ghost? ... what is a Crusader?
<Jackieness> <Noire> "The iconography was common to the period. Religious themes permeated every level of society."
<DeathStar> <Ren> Well, the ghost that is suppose to be in this area was called a Rarach. Is that a Crusader type ghost?
<DeathStar> *Taiga pushes her glasses up* No
<DeathStar> *Ren suddenly poofs into her fox form and trots off in the middle of the coversation*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Ren?"
<Seraphna> Si> She's getting strange lately.
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Well...
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Like I followed you all here by Ren's scent, I suddenly smelt another dog like scent
<DeathStar> *Taiga slowly begins to follow her*
<Seraphna> Si> Marcus followed us?
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmm... I would have thought that being sentient, she would not be affected by whatever energies are alleged to permeate this place."
<DeathStar> *Andrea eyes Si*
<Seraphna> Si> What? He always kinda has a doggie smell.
<DeathStar> <Andrea> You're about to lose a fox.
<Seraphna> Si> Come to think of it, a lot of boys do. **she shrugs and follows Taiga**
<DeathStar> *Andrea follows as well*
<DeathStar> *Ren seems to be following what looks to be a burning object further up the castle steps*
<Jackieness> <Noire> *follows where Ren went*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "...mmmm...I'd say Ren has been bewitched."
<Seraphna> Si> That or she sees the beauty of fire.
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Charlotte will not be happy
<Jackieness> <Noire> *tries to scoop up Ren with her tendrils*
<DeathStar> *Ren blinks, then flails about for a moment, as the firey dog like object vanishes*
<DeathStar> *Then seems to calm down*
<Seraphna> Si> Cute puppy. I wanted to pet it.
<DeathStar> *Ren poofs back* My head hurts
<DeathStar> *Taiga eyes Si*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Ren, this is like the Dutchman's Mine."
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Please do not pet the ghost creatures
<Seraphna> SI> But it looked warm!
<DeathStar> <Ren> It just felt like my head was all strange and my animal instincts kicked in for a moment
<DeathStar> <Andrea> It is becoming dark. Should we return to the tower. We left some of our party alone up there
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Clearly that strange animal behavior that you mentioned earlier."
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Ren always was more into her animal side. *Ren huffs*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Back to the tower then." *looks at the map then starts back*
<DeathStar> *Ren, Andrea, and Taiga follow; as they reach the area, Tsukiko is pacing, looking unnerved; outside a beautiful moon is slowly rising*
<DeathStar> <Tsukiko> Good you are all safe
<Seraphna> Si> Hey, where's Kaelan? Figured she'd be wrapped arpodun you.
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmmm.... yes." *opens her bag*
<DeathStar> *Tsukiko motions at Kaelan floating about as she thinks*
<DeathStar> <Tsukiko> Momma is hanging about

<DeathStar> <Tsukiko> There feels like there are two major entites lurking about - one a less dangerous, a prankster, the other a more dangerous one that is targeting our life forces by staying in this room.
<DeathStar> *Andrea mmm mmm mmhms*
<Seraphna> Kaelan> THat prankster again? Well at least Jaime isn't around to make it mad.
<DeathStar> <Tsukiko> Again?
<Seraphna> Kaelan> We encounterd it at that theme park that Thena bought.
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmm-hmmm..." *opens the canister and starts pouring salt along the perimeter of the room*
<Seraphna> Kaelan> And I think again once on the PAX.

<Jackieness> <Noire> "Which is why I am setting up defenses."
<DeathStar> *Ren hums and helps Noire*
<DeathStar> <Tsukiko> I'm a little worried - that might not be enough for whatever is trying to eat our life force

<Jackieness> <Noire> "I'm not stopping there." *reaches into her bag and pulls out some large iron nails*
<DeathStar> *there's a sneeze from inside Ren's bag*

<Jackieness> <Noire> *sets a nail at the door and each window*
<DeathStar> <Tiny> Voice> Hey hey hey! That's over kill!

<DeathStar> *Ren reaches and pulls something out and immediately stuffs it back in*

<DeathStar> *it struggles in the bag*

<DeathStar> *Ren pulls out a tiny imp that fits in Ren's hand, but the true horror is that despite the ugly red looking imp with a long nose, it has white clown looking hair, the nose is a Bimboish look, and oh no, the outfit looks just like Bimbo's in many ways, mixed with a traditional impish. It's clear its not Bimbo, just by the attitude and the way it's swinging and groveling on the palm, but that would mean... what?*

<DeathStar> *it forms a hat that's oversized and tips it* <Tim Bo> Tricking and dazzling is the game. Misdirecting is the fun. ... not that I would, um, do it this time. ... You all look rather um... antaganoistic
<Seraphna> Kaelan> We do have a history of killing gods and supernatural beings that misbehave.

<DeathStar> <Tim Bo> That I do. It's a type of Soul Eater. Reason most people don't get affected is that it'll eat one person's soul, then be satisified, then the legend spreads "Oh you'll die if you stay here" then a ton of people stay and nothing happens, but that one person stays, gets soul eaten, slowly withers away...
<Jackieness> <Noire> "So does it bother you at all?"
<DeathStar> <Tim Bo> Oh, I'm the spawn of--- Um, no
<Seraphna> Kaelan> Many spirits do not have a fully actualized soul anymore.

<DeathStar> <Tim Bo> Well, you'd need someone who can force it to materialize. Usually it won't even show itself even for a fraction of a second until it's ready to feed. You have a way to sense these type of beings before they attack?
<Jackieness> <Noire> *looks at Tsukiko* "Mmmmm... cna you help with that?"
<Seraphna> Kaelan> I think sufficient charms should at least prevent feeding.

<DeathStar> <Ren> I wonder who's soul it will want
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Spekaing of..." *reaches into her bag and pulls out a bound stack of ofuda
<DeathStar> *The candles begin to flicker, and Si would feel her fire weaken*
<DeathStar> <Tim Bo> Oh hey hey hey, I best be hiding now. *he goes back into the bag*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Well, Tsukiko, I can feel that. This thing isn't at all subtle."
<DeathStar> *Ren prepares a charm* Maybe it plans to eat us all
<DeathStar> <Andrea> We are strong souls. It could consist on all of us for who knows how long
<DeathStar> *Tsukiko focuses* It's in the room. It hasn't made a move yet
<Jackieness> <Noire> "...mmmmmm...well then..." *unbundles the ofuda*

<DeathStar> *Kaelan would feel something beginning to pry into her*

<Seraphna> **Kaelan glows with holy light, pulling Truth out from her Kimono** It can't help itself, I'm too tasty.

<DeathStar> *it begins to reach into her body*
<DeathStar> *grabbing at them
<Seraphna> **Kaelan slices at it's neck with Truth**
<Seraphna> Kaelan> Don't everyone rush to my rescue or anything.
<DeathStar> *the creature, looking like a shadow man almost steps back, it's neck cut*
<DeathStar> *the wound slowly sealing itself*
<Seraphna> **SI muses and hurls fire at it**
<DeathStar> *The fire is eaten*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmm...fine." *dashes forward and tries to slap an ofuda on it to keep it visible*
<DeathStar> *Ren leaps and throws a charm*
<DeathStar> *Andrea arrives and curls around Kaelan, slapping something onto it*
<DeathStar> *Taiga tosses a bit of salt*
<DeathStar> *The creature looks annoyed and confused at all this and swings it's hand outward, it growing longer as it seems to be trying to recover*
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Now... while it is tangible." *cojures a floating dark matter shield and floating version of the Dark Edge*
<DeathStar> *Tsukiko works on making a holy sword to try to cut it again now that it's covered in charms*
<Seraphna> **Kaelan slices at it again with Truth, who glows with Holy and Moonlight**
<DeathStar> *The spirit eyes itself no longer recovering, pause and tries to retreat but pauses due to the salt circle*
<DeathStar> *it bends down and begins to form wind, slowly knocking objects on top of it*
<Seraphna> **Kaelan slices more, Si fuus and drops more salt around in a bigger circle from her subspace, it's pink salt**
<Jackieness> <Noire> *gestures with her hand, sending her Dark Edge flying at the spectre, trying to slice it*
<DeathStar> *the creature has been sliced into nothing but what looks to be a flying bat now*
<DeathStar> *it flaps and reeees at them, then flies right at them, trying to open it's mouth wide*
<Jackieness> <Noire> *directs the Dark Edge to try to run the bat through*
<DeathStar> *it stops moving, then poofs into nothing; the candles return brighter than ever and Si would practically burn on fire*
<Seraphna> Si> Oooo! Look how pretty I am now!
<DeathStar> <Taiga> Try not to burn the castle down dear
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmm... now then, that is that.""
<DeathStar> *An object drops on the ground; it looks to be a black object*
<DeathStar> *round in shape*
<DeathStar> <Ren> And we can go boating tomorrow
<Seraphna> Kaelan> I think we won a prize, or an evil object that will possess someone and cause a sequel event.
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmm...?" *moves to pick up the object with a tendril*

<DeathStar> *practically radiating with the cries and power of the people it feasted on*
<DeathStar> <Andrea> One could consume that and become stronger, if they do not mind the cries
<Jackieness> <Noire> "Mmmmm... I'll decide what to do with it later."
